- Battlefield 2042 is in a great spot right now and I hope DICE continue to support it and don't let it die. Let's play with the M416 and discuss some recent updates to Vault guns and more. Leave a LIKE and a comment, thanks for watching.

HAHA such a low IQ. This game was dead the second the announced cross-play. Once support is over, every platform will be riddled with hackers
The lack of destruction still bugs me. The having to move from hardpoint to hardpoint while defending objectives due to them getting leveled was something that made the game unique for me at least.
It's literally the exact same amount of destruction as BF4 which everyone loves. Go back and play that game if you don't believe me.

Not gonna lie, the possibility of next gen destruction was one of the things that excited me most about 2042 when they announced it.

I'd just like to not play the same 5 maps over and over. Play for a day never get half the maps. It's insane.

lmao someone was arguing about how 17months later 2042 is better than BF4 was. BF4 had 30 fucking maps + TONS of new weapons + assignments + most bug fixes.
@@moelester3758 2042 is nowhere near being better, however, I am pretty happy about having a Battlefield with modern mechanics, good animations and wonderful weapon handling, even when it comes at the cost literally everything else.
Like Jack said, bf is a wonderful casual game that you can play bite sized to relax, or with headphones and immerse yourself in the chaos.

Without persistent lobbies and region options, the game will definitely go on a downward path. They are the core things that are actively killing the player count

I actually think this game will have a longer life just due to cross play, AI fill. It’s so hard to play bf1 now just because of the player count
@@hibana364 Alright hot take but temp game modes are far better then permanent modes.
Temp modes means you actually get people playing then and don’t over saturate the servers, think Bf4 where after a few months most of the DLC game modes were dead, I don’t think I ever play carrier assault or CTF after the first year of those DLCs being out for example.
There are actually persistent servers. Buit thats all hidden behind Portal.
Lack of content could be killing this game too, but then I remember playing BF4 in 2021 for hours and hours on Metro only and the server was always full.
It has to die, so proper battlefield(hopefully the next one) can take its place and put the franchise back to the sun.

@@MrStopAsking Absolutely. Hardline was better than this, because Hardline at least felt like a battlefield with cops.. But this doesnt feel like BF game at all, its a hybrid of who knows what..
That's one thing I hate about battlefield, game isn't even finished yet, but the skin and monetization are up to date.

Honestly this game deserves to end in failure of for no other reason than they didn't bother with a campaign and knowingly released it in a terrible state.

@@G3TChannelTV 2042 is on a whole nother level of goofy though. These characters are looking like some Warzone operator packs lol.
Also BF4 depicted a conflict one decade after the development of the game, so there was room for slight fictionalization of the uniforms.
Dice needs to put more destruction in BF 2042, like in BF 4 buildings collapsing like that.

Im all for more raw, uncut game play, just comes across as more genuine and unscripted, and easier to follow along as there isnt any jump cuts, anyways great vid as always! =D
Let it die. Sorry, but the launch was a disaster and the only power we have as consumers is with our wallet. The lack of features and the inclusion of operators and being able to switch out load outs on the fly makes this no Battlefield. The direction this franchise is heading is awful. If the franchise has to die in order for some enthusiast who understands the core playerbase to bring it back to life in a few years then so be it.

I played BF3 and BF4 like obsessed back in the day. Still plenty of serves to play on :)
They should include some more variety for portal, like I would like to see a semi revamped version of Hardline as I actually enjoyed that one alot

I really liked the gun selection in Hardline. I'd like a variety of smaller caliber fast action revolvers. Every revolver is bulky and slow. The rex is pretty good but it's a vault weapon.
The edited and cut videos are really amazing. The uncut versions are much more realistic though and it's nice to see that even Mr. Frags get downed
I'm not a fan of this game. After BF4, nothing compares. If they went back to a BF4 theme but different maps, I'd buy in.
BF1 tops them all IMO. Best FPS I've ever played and nothing has come close.
Yup, bf1 was objectively seen better. I totally understand that ppl don't like the setting or the inaccuracy of the history when it comes to it's weapons.

It isn’t. I usually play cod and playing this game is 10x slower and just like the battlefield I remember. Granted I don’t play Bf but tbh it ain’t similar

A BF game with zero destruction, isn't really a battlefield at all to me. That was the whole dynamic that made it stand out!

I remeber learning how to play FPS games by watching the uncut gameplay on "Across the Battlefield". It works well in learning spatial gameplay, not just highlight reels of guns firing.
Same here watching those videos made me such a better player in terms of positioning and awareness
@Jordan Harper yeah, so much fps content is just gunfights, which is obviously impressive when you're as skilled as jack, but to actually see the quailty of movement and spatial awareness uninterupted gameplay is amazing.

It’s maybe 15% of what a Battlefield game should be
There's a reason why this still has less daily peak players than BF1, and almost half of BFV's. It feels like a soul-less F2P clone of what this series was all about. Even though 2042 has been improved quite a bit since launch, everything from the maps to the UI and overall features make it an objectively worse game than its predecessors. Maybe it should be allowed to die, for the best. IMO this franchise needs a break, to come back with full steam with a reboot in a couple of years.
They should remove wingsuits or make it so they have to parashoot

I love this game I think there’s still some things to bang out like map rotation and some weapon bugs but it’s super fun
Wish they would allow community creatable maps. I feel the community could make some insane portal maps that had amazing destruction gameplay

The vehicles are overpowered, I’d been playing solo to unlock some guns and vehicle weapons and decided to hope into a regular match and died 5 times in a row upon spawn to a condor grenade launcher so I just left
This game would have easily made game of the year if there was destruction that the previous games had. Being able to drive a tank though a building was one of my favorite things to do beside leveling the whole map

Such a missed opportunity with portal. By far the biggest let down - just feels soulless. They shouLd of had seasons of bc, bc2, maybe even a few bf3 maps. Something!

I played every single battlefield and this one definitely ruined it for me. I wouldn’t care if this one died out. They ended up moving away from the foundation of what made battlefield so special.

For those who don't know: The M4 is the standard issue weapon for the U.S Armed Forces. Though we don't use it full auto, it's used more as a marksman rifle in single fire.
Oh really? What branch? Last time I checked, when I went to Marine Corps boot camp, we used an M16, and the M4 was a limited issue in the fleet. Only the short guys were issued a standard M4.
AFAIK they're still issuing M16s and, not M4s.
Honestly I'm not surprised the Marines are still getting M16s if you did your boot camp recently. Marines have always done the hardest work with hand me downs. But the M4 is the current (up to date) standard issue weapon.
@Dominick Cuellar the infintry guys get the IAR but unless you are a tanker, LAV, etc, or need a short barrel, you are issued a M16 not a M4. I will ask my buddies in the Army, Coast Guard, Navy and Airforce to see if they got issued an M4, but I doubt it. Reason behind this comes down to cost efficiency. The government isn't paying to replace all the M16's with an M4.
When I got out of the Army in 2020, about 2 years before then my unit phased out all the M16s for the M4. Id like to think the Army is moving forward lol but the military hardly does anything that makes sense.

@@babbadzz this .. they don't give 2 shits about the cheating and I actually uninstalled it aftrer all these hours of gameplay and making youtube clips. I just can't play 2042 (I tried firing it up but it still feels pewp to me) so I feel lost now and just play online poker and watch UA-cam ..

Jack, love seeing your content and I also hope that 2042 gets the support from DICE on this. Its crazy how far this game has changed since the beta, and I think there is something to be said about what they have been doing with getting feedback from the community. Also, is there any Vault weapon you want to see get released? I would love to see the Drilling (BF5) come back, just because its so unique of a weapon and had so much fun running and gunning/sniping with it lol. Cheers from across the pond sir.

Yesterday, surprisingly, I have fun playing BF2042... it was a game between BF3 vs BF:BC2... it mustbe saying something!
I'd like to see them adopt the Blizzard model and just develop expansions for the base game rather than re-inventing the wheel. And speaking of Blizzard, they need to follow Blizzard's lead and actively get rid of cheaters.

I think it would be a great shame to not have AT LEAST one more year of support and new content for 2042. The first year was mostly spent getting the game in fighting shape, so now that the vast majority of issues have been cleared up I would like to see what they can do with their full attention on content creation. I would wager that DICE haven't even achieved what their plans for the game are, given that they had a lot of things to correct and had to dedicate so much time to do so.
I definitely don't want another BF5 experience, like you mentioned. I think that would actually just be disastrous, because it doubles-down on that behavior as a precedent and would lead to making a non-zero amount of people wary about buying future releases.

jack did you know that on the map with the stadium i think its called hourglass but im not sure if you shoot the fire extinguishers that they explode and they can do a bit of damage but you have to be really close to them so that means that you can get an enemy with the fire extinguishers
Because of you jack i hopped back on bf2042. Honestly i havent had this much fun in a long time, the game is so much better now than launch.
I enjoy the more uneditied type videos, but at the same time, if theres a significant stretch of time where nothings happening in game and you can't think of anything to say, dont feel forced to inclide it.cuts are nice sometimes.
