I remember seeing the first video may have been back in 2000 or 2001... still a great percussive fest of acousticness. People talk about Andy McKee, but this guy was the first time I saw this type of slapping acoustic style
I remember first playing guitar and I found this guy and was blown away, then I said oh look minor pentatonics 😆🤘🤘🍻I wish I could play like this or even have the knowledge to, but I love and enjoy blues very much 🍻
I saw the original video probably 15 years ago but recently I couldn't figure out what this song was called or who played it. The only thing I could remember was the word Larrivve, which I thought was the style of play but turns out that's the name of the guitar he was using... so it didn't help at all until the name "Justin King" randomly came to me and I finally found the song!
+starman69 next week we'll be posting a lesson with Justin King on how to slap, pop, tap, and do that crazy flamenco strumming he does. It's gonna be rad. Stay tuned!
+Guitar World also sorry about the incorrect grammar. I was just so excited to see Justin King on the guitar world channel. Been reading since 2002 when I was 12
+starman69 In the lesson he did, he used examples from Phunkified and Knock on Wood. He also, separately, did a performance of Knock on Wood. Stay tuned!
I am glad Andy did not have to Tab that LOL!... Wholly Phunk man !!, Wootan's brother who does a similar technique (not the bassist the guitarist) was doing those fast triplets on electric, but who would of thought you could expand it with more tapping and on acoustic, IT SHOWS HOW MUCH WE REALLY KNOW ABOUT GUITAR... I tried to dance to that i fell over and nearly killed the cat... GW is getting better and better
Mi big question it's which kind of strings should i use to learn how to play Percussion finger picking style like You do? And which Gauges and tensión?
ua-cam.com/video/zK1SIShsFrI/v-deo.html This is a really good one. Although it's more like Ben Lapp's version but it's still all about the basic ideas. This one is the most difficult song I've ever played, however it's truly fun to play. Good luck! :D
Guitar virtuosos: Maybe, it will be a one of my greatest moment in life, that about for example Justin King and Andy McKee and/or some great virtuosos to make a document short film. Similar to Jack White, The Edge and Jimmy Page talking and jamming show.
There's a guy who calls himself Marcin who copies your style and is walking around like the king of guitar virtuosos as if no one's done what he's doing before.
The tab for this has more Xs than the entire Xbox live community.
And this very song has crossed my way many a times.
💀
😂😂
What about Ashley Madison?
There are more X's than in mathematics
Wow, like 10 years ago somebody at college showed me this song on youtube and I was blown away. Glad this guy is still playing for us
You motivated me to play guitar a long time ago, Justin. Keep doing what you do. I love you
Yeah I remember my first time playing guitar, this guy is sloppy
He's a genuine talent. Very soulful and chaos mixed in beautifully
Song never gets old!

Genius
What strumming technique is he using throughout the song, for example from 2:30 ? It's so fast, I can only see his hands turning into rubber
Rob Scallon did a tutorial for a similar technique. he calls it 'the sprint' look it up.
Nico L. The batshit crazy
Nico L. Some kind of flamenco technique I think ?
Nico L. Triplets
Rasqueado
This song is developing now!!

I think Justin better than Miyavi

Ladies and gentlemen, Victor Wooten on 6 strings!
