Thank you for the explanation of CAT A, B and C. Can you please advise which walking foot I would need for a Janome J3-20 and/or Janome J3-24? Thank you. Subscribed.
Question: The motion of the bar on the walking foot hitting the needle bar knocks my needle off every time. Usually breaking the needle in the process. Is there something I can do to prevent this? Note that both the foot and the needle bar are on tight. Thank you!
I have the janome atelier 3 - I purchased what I was told by John Lewis was the correct walking foot for my machine, the Even Feed Foot with Quilting Guide for horizontal rotary hook models - I installed it exactly as described in this, and many other videos, and when I lower the presser foot it sits miles above the feed dogs, it looks as though I haven't lowered the foot at all, even though it is fuy lowered. I don't understand how I can install it any other way. I have been trying to confirm online what is the correct walking foot for my machine, as I can only imagine I have been sold an incorrect one, but I am getting nowhere. Please Could you advise what you think the issue is? Would be much appreciated, thanks.
Thanks so much for your reply, that explains it! I was going round in circles thinking i had somehow attached it wrong. I have just called JL and they said I could return the other foot no problem. Thanks again for getting back to me, much appreciated :-)
I have a 2212 model. According to the website I need part 200339007 - even feed foot open toe. I saw on your post that the teeth need to line up with the feed dog teeth (makes sense). My part does not line up (left side dies but right side I off. Is there a different part that actually fits my machine?
Hi, newbie question, I’ve just purchased a Janome 4400 sewing machine and I wanted to try freehand sewing, please can you let me know what foot I will need to do that and if possible where to purchase it online? Thanks
I’m not aware of the model sorry it’s not a machine sold by Janome dealers. Quick look and it looks like a cat.b machine so any of those feet should fit.
I have a serger, embroidery machine and recently bought a Janome sewing machine. I need a walking foot. I have a Model 811 and can't find this model on Janome website. I need a walking foot for my machine. Can you help me find one that will fit this model? Thank you! Jill
Jill Bebe it isn’t a model number Iv ever heard of, if it was from a catalog or large website they are often, grey imports not through Janome UK. Best thing to do is send us a picture via facebook and we can work out what it is.
Do you do online tutorials. I’ve had my machine for a few years from new. I Was meant to get a tutorial after purchase but never happened. I feel I’m not really using it to it full potential.
Thanks, fab.
Very clear and informative.
Alice
Hope all well
Please could you explain how i attach the quilting arm

Angela King you need to have the foot bar over the needle bar so it lifts it up it shouldn’t be hitting it.
Please could you tell me what category is a janome 4400 .thank you .and please could you show me the way to fix it
Do you carry a walking foot for a J 5000.?

You need the cat c version not cat b. It is a rotary hook but you need a high shank.
In there defence, JL don’t sell that type of machine it’s from authorised dealers like us, so would have no idea there is a high shank option.

I’m sorry the 2212 is not a model I’m familiar with not sure if it’s a dealer machine.
Do you still get different feet for a Janome 576. If so where and what type.
You want JANOME category A feet
Didn't even explain what that long bar that comes with it, does...
It’s a guide! Tells you on the packet nothing to do with choosing the one that fits your machine.

Which walking foot do you recommend for my Janome HD3000?
It’s the Cat B version
@@fabricmouse what is cap b?
@@fabricmouse thank you
Could not see how you applied the walking foot.
The leverwhich goes over the needle bar stays up at times. How can I prevent this happening?
Sounds like you foot needs an oil as something is sticking.
Do these feet fit janome memory craft horizon 8200 q c p
You need Cat.c feet fabricmouse.co.uk/collections/sewing-machine-accessories/category-c
