The favourite thing my old cat loved to do was follow me everywhere I went, including running up the sidewalk after me when I left the house to go to work! He passed away in 2018 and I still miss him very much, he loved cuddles and pets.

My cat sleeps all day and plays around all night! He wants to go out, sits on the fence for a while, has been known to get on our roof. I always thought he stayed just around the property, but my daughter saw him run across the road to another property (he is the most antisocial cat so this was a huge surprise 😮). She calls him and he ignores her. He definitely has a secret night 🌙 life.

I read about people who buy tracking collars for their outdoor cats just to see where they go when they're let out. They're often disappointed to learn that their cat simply trots under the next door neighbor's car and takes a nap.

I really enjoy your channel so much, I learn so much from them, and I just want my cat to be the healthiest and happiest she can be. I'm an Aussie and we live in an area with Koalas, Kangaroos, and many native birds. We let her outside for a while during the day (she usually chooses when and how long 😄) but she's always inside at night. She doesn't show any interest in hunting or playing. I've bought a pet-specific laser pen and some fluffy mice to give her as a reward, I'm at home all day with her as I can't work anymore due to an illness that has turned into a physical disability. She's an older cat and she sleeps a lot. If you don't mind me asking when would be the best time of day to introduce these?

thank you for your informative videos. my cat coughs but my vet has only taken out her stethoscope once. I brush her twice her day, it helps but i still don't know the cause.
B recently had a mastocytoma removed from her face, nasty discoloured lump between her ear, behind her eye. the vet wants to reoperate why didn't she do it in the first place and reduce both cat and owner trauma. Would you do a video on this not uncommon disease? not a great prognosis, we love each other.

I try to do 15 minutes a day. Lately I've been giving each of both of my cats their own separate 15 minute block of time, since separate play is what I see recommended a lot; that and 30 minutes a day, per cat.
I have no idea how anyone could play 60-75 minutes with their cat daily, let alone 2+ hours a day if they have two (or more!).

Letting cats outdoors is just plain dumb. They won't be able to "enjoy their lives" when they are roadkill (and this ignores the fact that cats needlessly kill tons of animals that are important to local ecosystems). There are many, many, many more risks outdoors than there are indoors. Keep cats indoors.

I'm sorry but unless you live in a very rural area, cats should never roam free outside. As smart as they are the risk of being run over, mauled by a larger animal is unacceptable. Then there's the mics. Parasites they will become infested with sooner or later...

Yes, my cats are chewing through cords, looking for more food, opening cabinets and knocking glasses out to the floor, playing with their toys, etc. I live in Alaska and there are bears everywhere- brown and black- they eat cats (among everything else) , there are wolves and coyotes, cars and trucks, eagles, hawks and large owls and weather that never gets above freezing except for two months of the year. If you live in Alaska, cats are not apex preditors - they are food for things with large beaks and huge teeth. People here are warned not to let cats out.
