But I have often seen people pick Koga as their 5th challenge, swimming to Cinnabar Island right after and dismantle Blaine with the Surf from Fuchsia City and tackle Silph and the tough Gary rival battle and the not so tough Giovanni Silph battle. After all that, Sabrina will be left as the seventh and and her frail, now probably underleveled psychic mons will fall like a house of cards. The open nature of Kanto likely bites Sabrina most in the ass. That and the wonky Gen 1 AI.
@@Alector12 you have a point but I often find myself going to Sabrina, then Koga, then Blaine due to her proximity to the prior leader Erika, and I never find myself having too many problems.
The other E4 members with insanely good themes are: (does not include champions) -ALL Hoenn except Glacia -Grimsley -Shauntal -ALL Kalos except Malva -Acerola -Kahili
_Koga's down to his final Pokémon and sends out a new addition to his team: a Beedrill. He starts performing a string of hand signs at __0:04__, and at __0:06__, he's somehow managed to palm a Keystone faster than the eye can see between the last two hand signs, allowing him to use the final hand sign to trigger Mega Evolution at __0:07__. His Beedrill starts Mega Evolving, but the animation is...different. In addition to the classic shell of energy around Beedrill, you also see the storm clouds from when you evolve a Pokémon in PLA. At __0:13__, this shell breaks with a Mega Evolution sigil that looks like it was written with a traditional calligraphy brush_
Fun fact: According to the Fame Checker, Koga acts as a park ranger for the Safari Zone. He patrols the zone when not at the gym to keep it safe from poachers.

Koga and Sabrina are the two Kanto Gym leaders who probably kick equally as much butt as their Pokemon partners.
