This is definitely one of those videos that I will be putting to good use, im in process of building my very first workshop and have a planer with straight blade's and I know that they need to be sharpened before I can use it!!! As always 💯% 👍 🇬🇧.
Fantastic work, Gregory! Nicely done! 😃 I hope you and your family are safe there! All the best wishes and support from Brazil to Ukraine! Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Bonjour .
Very clever as usual, the adjustment of the blades in the video went a bit too quick, but I have done this before; Use the small stick showing in the video and write down how far the blade is taken the stick by turning the blade holder on one side, adjust the blade on the other side to exactly the distance by turning the blade holder and lifting or downing the blade. Turn the blade holder to the next blade and do the same on both sides of the blade getting the stick to the pencil mark what you made with the first blade. And to be sure everyone understands pull the plug and turn the blade holder by hand.

Hello Gregory. I noticed that you made the cut at 35 degrees, but in your blade sharpening jig you cut it at 45. Could you please explain the difference? As always, all my support to your country.

If you'll pin your comment, it will stay at the top.
I have watched a lot of ways to sharpen planer knives, but using the planer itself to adjust the height of the belt sander - true genius.

Brilliant idea. What grit sandpaper do you use.Stay safe.
Simply cool man! Several likes for you!

💛💙 Happy to hear from you. 👍👊💪
What grit sandpaper on the belt sander?
120 grit
🇵🇱 Super pomysł! Pozdrowienia z Polski!
👍👍🇧🇷
👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏

I took my planner blades to be sharpened by a guy who sharpened blades for a living and he said it couldn't be done.
