I knew someone who culled the applications for her company during the hiring process. While going over the resumes, if she (and it was a woman) came across a resume of anyone with a gender studies degree, it would immediately be placed in the "do not contact" pile. She told me that gender studies students always had a chip on their shoulder, disliked men as a whole and seldom worked well with others. They almost always filed some form of discrimination suit after they left the company as well, likely taught to do so in college.
