I was born in Argentina but grew up in South Africa , I use to play rugby for club and school and my dad is a pumas fan,to watch their growth over the years warms my heart :)
Yes Sir, doing research for this was FUN, found how high standard South American Domestic Rugby is......couple of them Los Pumas were from the local league!!!!! Also that's how Chile Rugby was able to push out long established Tier 2 Nations in USA and Canada, and claim their spot in Rugby World Cup 23!!! 🐆🐆🐆
What kind of mentalist emigrates from Argentina to South Africa. From the saucepan into the fire 😅. Only joking I love Argentina, my wife is one, it has its problems but is a beautiful place.
I love argentinian rugby. It is noticeable how players play with their heart fully. Hopefully, this new coach will guide this incredible team to glory. Greetings from Villa Luro.
I am from Argentina, and I am very proud about these results. I used to be a Rugby player. Finally, we start to do things the way they have to be done. Mr Contepomi, Felipe for as, it is great. He was a great Capitan of the Pumas, and I know he is showing what he can do. Felipe it is not just a rugby player; he is also a doctor. He is a metodic person, with a very strong mentality. Clearly, we can see his hand in these results. Thank you Felipe!!!, Go Argentina Go!!
The plan would be: start the game playing like a tier 2 nation, so then when the oposition is relaxed after a first half massacre we suddenly remember how to play? We have a massive issue: it’s called FIRST HALF.
Well, wome years ago we hat the opposite problem, we would play great for 60 minutes and get killed in the last 20. Being that that problem was impossible to fix quickly as it came down to the player pool and it's lack of competitiveness compared to the starters, something that is not an issue anymore, and that the current problem is more of a concentration and let's call it "passion management" issue, which is far easier to fix. I'd rather have this problem
The funny thing is that the talent was always there for some reason the prior coaches were insisting in not playing with the backs. It was impossible to understand what those coaches were thinking. Then Contepomi applied common sense and made them play wider. He obviously knows how to exploit that properly but the change in tactics was something all fans were seeing.

You are being overly modest kind Sir. It is hard to separate you from their content. In fact, I think you have the edge because you bring video footage copiously, so the dialogue matches what we are seeing for a greater understanding of rugby's concepts. Sometimes you bring the historical black and white pictures which is much appreciated. Your video about the Springboks /All Blacks rivalry blew my mind. Keep it up. You don't have to do much more. You are there already.
I am very hopeful about this team and new coaching stuff, but I must say, I got a bit disappointed with the way they approached the match against France. If you look at the stats: we had all the possession, we attacked for a longer period of time, we got France to make more tackles, we had more carries, most meters gained but somehow less line-breaks and less defenders beaten than France and scored only 1 try. France is a team that is happy to give you the ball. A week before the match with Argentina, they did the exact same thing to NZ (they almost lost, NZ failed to capitalize). They havent changed much how they play. I liked that Argentina tried to imposed its attacking rugby brand but dismissed a bit the fact that France was happy to defend, turnover the ball, kick into your half and strangle you there (or kick it for either Villiere or LLB to chase it and score)
Na men...... It's a good video. Thank you for spreading this passion every time my team plays. I have price spikes and heart attacks..... What a good sport 😂😂😂😂😂 VIVA LA LIBERTAD CARAJOOO😂😂😂
Not so long ago Argentina was Italy level. Now they're the level of a top 2 six nations team and if they carry on like this maybe even a top 5 in the world team.
Oh yes the italy level who has only born and raised players.. who back then had one of the greatest players ever (hugo porta) the italy level who tie with nz southafrica, got past the quaterfinals against the irish and got a 3rd place against the host (france) but also in the inaugural game in a world cup and twice 4th places in the last 30 years.. oh yes the similarities are right there
I beg to differ. Argentina was always superior to Italy. Argentina failed to beat the southern powerhouses in the 90s and 2000s, but was beating Wales, Scotland, France and Ireland more often than not. Maybe Argentina was the equivalent of Italy in the south, but it was LEVELS above Italy.
Still many work to be done. Need to change the way we teach kids. Still teaching very old school Rugby. I can tell, my kids play Rugby and they are learning same things I learned 30 years ago.
Yes, it is amazing how rugby has changed....now when it becomes your job, you look at it with a new perspective....like nowadays, a new 'thing' is some players are VERY happy if they are not on run on squad, it means they get paid without putting body on the line....
Now it’s just a matter of time before foreigners find out how the local rugby tournaments in the URBA TOP 12 work. The passion of Argentines is in our blood from the moment we're born... I think they'll be surprised when they discover how the player selection system works, with all players coming from amateur rugby clubs. Even so, we have one of the best rugby teams in the world.
Keep the brute force, then add tactics and clever resolutions, thats why they did that, Argentina stamina its also unmatched because its feeds from hunger for glory.
Best Pumas analisys I've watched. Too bad the automatic translation is super bad otherwise it would go viral in Argentina (I'm not sharing with my father and friends just because they wouldn't be able to follow. If I were you II would get it properly translated and amass an enormous new fanbase.

Hey, here from Argentina. No even a single knowledge about rugby, so won't correct nothing about that. But minor English correction, it would be more appropriate to say THE Pumas than "Los Pumas". Los is not part of the name, but a simple article :)
@@87nsilva I'm guessing it's the same use for the local name as people all over say "les bleus" to refer to the French football team (or Rugby for that matter). Or not! Who knows
Please also remember that there is no professional league in Argentina for rugby, is all amateur hearth fueled leagues. Fútbol has all the show here. So to be able to compete with the bests and win to them without even having a professional league is crazy

It's funny with Argies and Rugby. I grew up in Arg, and Rugby It's not the most popular sport (that's obvious compared to football) but also cause rugbyers are often linked to rich racist misogynistic a-holes (and rightfully so, historically speaking). But I've been living in France for the past 10 years and my view of the sport has changed a lot. And to their favor, Argie rugby enthusiasts and sportsmen have evolved as well. Football players however are now less appreciated hahahaha. I guess this is how it goes. There are still rich racist misogynistic a-holes around, obviously, but there are other, better rugbymen as well that came out of Arg. PS: Here in France women's rugby is very popular, especially amongst young students, and also gay/lgbt rugby is picking up as well. I have a couple of gay friends who play the sport, and my wife used to play rugby in college.
@@ClutchRugbyXV PS: speaking of Argie Rugby players, I know Omar Hasan. Old Pumas player who is now a baritone singer. He lives in Toulouse. I'm very close with his brother who also lives here in FR.

@@charmelbhagdath9239 Thank You Sir, Clutch Rugby is a Team🙏🙏
hey @cb you could watch our Japan video, a brief historical perspective and the Miracle at Brighton 👍
amazing video!
Gracias 🙏
I am very hopeful about this team and new coaching stuff, but I must say, I got a bit disappointed with the way they approached the match against France. If you look at the stats: we had all the possession, we attacked for a longer period of time, we got France to make more tackles, we had more carries, most meters gained but somehow less line-breaks and less defenders beaten than France and scored only 1 try.
France is a team that is happy to give you the ball. A week before the match with Argentina, they did the exact same thing to NZ (they almost lost, NZ failed to capitalize). They havent changed much how they play. I liked that Argentina tried to imposed its attacking rugby brand but dismissed a bit the fact that France was happy to defend, turnover the ball, kick into your half and strangle you there (or kick it for either Villiere or LLB to chase it and score)
yeah, the France game was a little disappointing
That lineout call was the cheekiest call I've yet seen. Bloody beautiful stuff!
the one that led to the try?

Not so long ago Argentina was Italy level. Now they're the level of a top 2 six nations team and if they carry on like this maybe even a top 5 in the world team.
Yep, you’re exactly right mate, and thanks for watching, please sub to Clutch‼️
Oh yes the italy level who has only born and raised players.. who back then had one of the greatest players ever (hugo porta) the italy level who tie with nz southafrica, got past the quaterfinals against the irish and got a 3rd place against the host (france) but also in the inaugural game in a world cup and twice 4th places in the last 30 years.. oh yes the similarities are right there
@belenheredia2024 🔥Hugo Porta 🔟 🦵🏉🐆
Without disparaging the Italian team, Los Pumas were always superior.

Well spoken good Sir! Clutch rugby is honoured for your opinion on this channel. Vamos vamos Argentina! 🇦🇷 🏉🏟️💪🐆
focusing on grassroots is also a pathway to Professionalism, although it will take time🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🐆

Thanks a lot for this amazing video. Tiny advice, check how Pumas is pronounced properly in spanish, is not "PIU"mas, is more like POO-mas.

The only Chance the pumas have to improve, is fair referral. Otherwise, with that double standard, the pumas will never improve

In 2018 Argentina wins Australia in the 1st half by 31x07. But in the 2nd hawf, Australia Wins the game by 45x31

Or not! Who knows

I have a couple of gay friends who play the sport, and my wife used to play rugby in college.
your English is excellent, where did you learn to speak……

yes Moneta did well at 7’s…..Dubai 7’s this week !!
