    I had the lower face and neck lift surgery 1 month ago. My surgeon did what you talked about and I am pleases with my results. My recovery is not over by any means. I'm looking forward to the final result. I am 73 years old. I think I did well. Thanks for explaining this in detail.

    very informative video with honest truths. I had a Face & neck lift surgery and definitely swelling under the chin recovers in a long time. most of the videos in youtube says you can actually recover in just a few weeks which is not the truth

    Thank you for an informative video. Are these the same or different procedures from a lateral platysmaplasty and a, deep plane neck lift?

    Dear Dr Goodwin : thank you for this informative video , i have a patient who lost weight and developed modest midline laxity of the neck skin , the skin has good elasticity and other parts of her face and neck is ok and she dose not have Platysmal bands , do you need here to do deep plain tightening , what’s your advice . Many thanks

      the platysma will likely have separated so likely. the saggier the neck the more likely it is to need additional tightening. does that help?

    Hi Adam....all you have spoke about in the neck lift procedure....can you do this under local anesthetic....thku

    • @adamgoodwinsurgery
      @adamgoodwinsurgery  2 роки тому +1

      some parts of it you can. the platysma pasty can be done under LA. The full behind the neck and central repair operation needs a GA really as its quite invasive. Thanks for your question.

    Have you had a neck lift surgery ? as while watching your video it looks as though you are trying to match your facial expressions with your words. or is it the timing of the video ?

      Can the jugular notch have filler done? Many ageing women especially post menopausal get this big dip in the notch. It looks terrible.

    Maybe a silly question but does the mandibular ligament get released during face or necklift to tighten jowls or us this deep plane

    • @adamgoodwinsurgery
      @adamgoodwinsurgery  5 місяців тому +1

      no its a good question. in some techniques it does. there are so many interpretations of each type of facelift that its down to the individual surgeon in most cases. deep plane its more likely to be released.

    I do see how necklift can reduce sagginess in the front of the neck. But is there any specific surgical treatment for loose skin and sagginess in the *back* of the neck (near the back of the scalp)? Or is that issue addressed with liposuction rather than surgery? 🤔

    • @adamgoodwinsurgery
      @adamgoodwinsurgery  2 роки тому

      The simple answer is no other than remove it with a straight line scar. Ok if you have a thick head of hair.

    Is it possible to access the platysma without incisions under the chin (incisions only behind the ears)?
    Incisions under the chin will obviously give better access but is it possible to access and directly work on the platysma with just behind the ear incisions? This might be suitable for those patients with primarily loose neck skin issues and minimal platysma banding. 🤔

    • @adamgoodwinsurgery
      @adamgoodwinsurgery  2 роки тому

      it is but not the sub platysma muscles like the digastric and digastric fat. these tissues need surgery to make the biggest difference to the submittal area.
