One of my biggest comment pet peeves is the “This is why I don’t buy preloved.” It’s nonsensical. As if when you buy new no mistakes are made and major quality issues don’t exist. Nope, you are just paying through the nose for that “luxury.”

Grace andherhandbag I totally agree about paying for that luxury, preloved or new. But it seems all preloved Chanel I’ve looked at is over the price from the boutique. Unless the wear is horrific. Do you have a suggestion for a good preloved Chanel site that sells under retail. I love all your videos so much, and I know you know how to buy preloved.

Chanel/LV and Lil Stephie Luxury I found a Chanel Reissue for less 1/3 of the price on The Real Real. You must be ready to snag it in excellent condition when it goes on sale. It’s a size 227 which now goes for more than 6k. I’ve had it for over a year and it’s as good as my brand new Jumbo. Now that’s probably impossible to find like that but I’m no less wowed by the Reissue! Just broaden your sight .
Chanel/LV and Lil Stephie Luxury I buy my Chanel bags on eBay, Poshmark, and I did buy one from Alexis Suitcase. I tend to buy older or vintage Chanel. I can’t afford the newer bags for the reasons you mentioned. It’s too expensive. Sorry I can’t be more of a help. I think you’re right many Chanel bags are overpriced even preloved.
Return it, don’t worry if you like this classic piece you always can find it in the boutique in the future. I highly recommend to buy the brand new one because of the price point.

So sorry about the missing stitches. The knots are normal, because of the hand sewing. Pieces in the boutique will be the same. Better to try to get into a Chanel boutique, and touch it and check it.
It’s not because it’s preloved (the knot). Chanel will fix stitches (or any issue) for 5 years if you are the original owner, or have the receipt (I think)

Autumn Beckman I wanted the irredentist yellow caviar card case so much when I laid eyes on it. Which is strange for me, because I love yellow, but not in SLGS. I was inspecting the piece thoroughly and felt a knot. My advisor took it back, and said another woman wanted it. I said don’t take that away. He explained the knot situation to me. I bought it, but he told me if I’m not comfortable not to buy it. I saw them preloved online, for two to three hundred above retail. That color was limited, like I believe your beautiful blue key case. I’m not usually a blue/turquoise person either, but that piece is breathtaking! And the pattern is beyond gorgeous. Your video actually made me buy the black compact wallet in that pattern. But it’s still not your blue!
I don’t regret my o card case purchase, and have used the piece daily for months. No issues

I have a total of 5 LV items and all pre-loved the last one I got is A LV pochette for $300 in perfect condition with box and dust bag .. also wanted to share I did it lol was in Austin and saw a small LV boutique and went in side have to say wow everyone was so nice from the minute I walked in to when I walked out with have a great day hope you come back .. awesome experience if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have done it thank you ❤

I’m sorry that happened to you but it’s unfortunate Autumn these high end companies just are not cutting it it has nothing to do with pre loved it has everything to do with Chanel and LV both putting our poor quality popped stitching is the newest thing with chanel it happened to 2 friends one was with her brand new classic M/L flap and it starting sagging on 1 side after 3 months none of it is what is used to be these pieces are being made on assembly lines unless they are very high end pieces it turned my friend off so much she didn’t want another one she bought a vintage chanel with the real 18k gold plating ! I hope you find another

Lee Lee LV I pray she took the bag back. They will repair anything for 5 years. I better stop being afraid to use my caviar double flap maxi, because I would jump if a stitch popped. My small leather goods have been perfect, but I don’t put them to the test (I under-stuff every Chanel piece). I agree about the quality of both houses not being the same. I’m an LV girl, much more than Chanel. But a canvas wallet is the same price as a caviar wallet, and the caviar wallets have no glazing to worry about. But I’ve never had a stitch pop on LV (just on a brand new wallet from their online site). I swear they sell all their returned items online. That’s why when I see videos of people using items for a month, and returning I die a little inside
PS: I’m still looking for your rabbit (spelling) piece preloved. But I’ll need to watch your video again to make sure I don’t get a fake, since the first one you got was so close to original, and I’ve never seen that piece in person. But it’s so functional. Love all your videos so much ❤️

Read the book me ,Autumn and a few other UA-camrs are reading “Deluxe , How Luxury has lost its luster “ we are not getting luxury anything , luxury items nor luxury service most of them are no longer hand stitched by 1 artisan anymore the only company to stand up to that standard is Hermes -LV is trying to become more exclusive but with their quality issues ,Hermes they will never compete with that’s for sure ,we are strictly paying for the name and logo which this book explains its pretty eye opening amazon has it for sale read it you won’t be sorry ! Autumn Beckman omg I said the same thing lol but then again I have no feeling in me for chanel I don’t know why it what it is I have started to get back into jewelry (real investments ) so I don’t see any one bag I even want from any fashion house right now I will honestly never say never but I will not make any purchases right now until they are fix their quality There are so many friends that don’t get the help they deserve because of the name that I made 10 times better it’s taking me a long time to get here and figure this out LV will always be my favorite but the direction they are going is for the elite they want those people that are coming to spend hundreds of thousands sad but true ! Prices will continue to rise I am def not rich and most of my friends here are not either we will be priced out eventually ! So so sad

Yes, there are always more. I'm sure I could find this one again - eventually - but I'm considering going with some color next time so maybe I'll check the boutique.
It's too bad it has some wear but so smart of you for checking the return policy. Yup, if there was an issue that wasn't disclosed they allow returns even if it's final sale- I had to do that once and they covered the return shipping for free.

Yeah your right about the real real photos and how bad they are at showing the pieces. I am glad you are completely not blowing off preloaded luxury and that website.i bought my LV 4 key ring holder form there.
Their photos used to be better. I don't know why they changed them. So many times they don't even include a shot of the interior of a piece.
I think it’s a good idea to return this piece because you will always be concerned about the pop stitching If the new piece is a few dollars more I would go with the new piece for piece of mind or return the pre loved one and wait to see if another pre love one like this is available at a later time.

Hi Autumn. You should check with The Real Real to see if they would refund your shipping cost. It was damaged after all, which is much different then changing your mind. Fashionphile pays shipping both ways no matter what the reason. I don’t think you should be out $12. for absolutely nothing. TFS

I bought a fake LV luggage tag from TRR last year, not realizing it was fake of course. They hadn't caught it either and accepted the return even though it was after the return date.
Autumn Beckman - Oh yes, I’ve heard you refer to that tag when you went to LV and found out it wasn’t real. Glad you caught that.
I bought a Louis Vuitton mini Lin cosmetic bag from the real real a few months ago and it was photographed as having some color transfer on the patent leather trim I thought I could remove. I couldn’t and called them and the man on the phone was super nice and because it was my first purchase with them he sent me a free prepaid label to return it. I also was impressed at how fast they credit your account. I received an email stating it had been delivered back to them and within 2 hours they had been processed my refund.

I think not wearing makeup is quite normal. I think it’s quite strange that people wear so much makeup. If I was a man I’d be quite afraid but then again all of my first dates would include swimming so I could see exactly whose underneath the 10 KG of makeup 🤣

Sorry, I commented before the end. Please check out my Chanel collection video. My gold limited edition o case (same size as yours) has the same lining as this piece, and it’s from this year. Only a few months old.
If you want to put all that in an o case, you’ll want the medium size. I use mine for cards and paper. Once you’ve stretched the piece out, it’s stretched out. I think that’s how this piece got popped stitches. But during the unboxing it looked flat like a pancake. So not sure. Even with the classic double or single flap bags, over stuffing will destroy the structure. Even incorrect storage will destroy the bags.
You know I love your videos so much, but I cringed when I saw the piece with the camera inside, and stuffed with other items. If you notice your key holder piece is much more stretched, it wasn’t wider to start. But that’s the point of it. Stretches around your needs over time. And keys will always do that to such soft leather. Just like the large o case. You can fill that, and the soft leather will go around your items.
I love the additional holder you put on the key case. And I love that color so much! I recently got the compact wallet in that pattern, but in black.
I too love gold hardware, but just know unless it’s vintage, it’s not 24k plated. It will turn. I went with silver on my maxi double flap for that reason.
I don’t want to see you disappointed when these pieces are so expensive. All the hardware will scratch eventually too. I wanted to leave the protection stickers on, but my client advisor told me it can ruin the item over time. So be careful when searching preloved, if the stickers are on. Sounds like a good thing, but it’s not if they are on a piece a year or more old. Sorry so long winded. I have an advisor that’s honest. Honest enough to admit none of their pvc is waterproof. Not even their umbrellas, or $750 handbag raincoats. And he says use the pieces, stretch them to your needs etc. But that might be so more gets sold. I tend to stare at most of my pieces. But I do use the small o case, and card holder every day. But I’m extremely careful not to over stuff them. The preloved card case you got appears to have never been used, and if it was it wasn’t over stuffed. The structure is so important, if you ever want to resell a piece. I don’t ever plan on selling my LV, or Chanel collection, but I want the items perfect for my daughters. I can’t wait for your next video. I never miss any ❤️
I wasn't trying to store those things in this small pouch, just showing what fits for those who are interested. I didn't know that about the stretching but I suspected it. I wouldn't have kept my camera in it or anything else that puffs it out so much. Thank you for all the helpful information. :)
Autumn Beckman I’m so sorry if my comment came out the wrong way. I would never want to hurt your feelings. I apologize if I did in any way. I think the comparison was exceptional. I’ve never seen any video like it. You might want to edit that part, and create a new video of just a comparison. Two videos from one. And I think a lot of subscribers would love that, if they miss this video. I know you would never overstretch an item, as you take wonderful care of all your items. That’s one of the reasons I love your channel so much. Your personality is the first reason.
I was afraid some viewers might think overstuffing was ok, without realizing the damage. I know many Chanel buyers resell their items. And most get more than they paid, if the item is in decent condition. I’m an LV girl at heart, and see many don’t mind a wavy zipper on the neverfull pouches. Stuff them, and stretch the piece out to suit them. I’ve never used any of my 4, but I’m anal lol. The zipper most likely won’t break, and might not even hurt preloved sale. I think some buyers would like the piece stretched for them, so it can actually hold some things. But usually Chanel preloved buyers look for structure, and stretch first (from videos I’ve watched). The key holder would definitely be an exception to that.
And I was being honest about the medium o case. It’s so much larger, and will go around your items and be perfect for whatever you put inside daily. And I think it will be a forever piece you will love for life. So no need to worry about stretching if it occurs.
Once again, I hope you didn’t take my comment the wrong way. I’m by far no expert on Chanel. I know much more about LV. But Chanel has so much better customer service in boutique than LV. You’ll be treated like royalty in the boutique even if you don’t buy anything. And if you find a good associate they can find the piece you want anywhere in the US (that has the piece). Saves the hassle of paying more for preloved items, that might disappoint you. That’s just my humble opinion. If you go to the boutique and they don’t have the item, ask them to search the system. They will have it sent from the other store to their store. You have to pay first, but at least you’ll get exactly what you want. Since it’s almost always “we don’t have that in stock, how about this”. Also always ask them to check behind glass cabinets, and in the back. You’d be surprised what they find. I think they hide some things for their vips, which isn’t allowed. Unless the client has prepaid for the item

That's awful. I've heard of this happening from time to time with even the most reputable preloved companies. It's too bad but I'm glad they allowed you to return it and didn't enforce the "final sale."
me too, I have to be honest they have a fantastic customer service department. I've received two items that were damaged and they didn't hesitate to take them back also. So far everything else from them has been excellent.

I actually purchased something new, and because of your videos, noted that there was a problem. I am quite sure I would not have noticed it otherwise. Yeah, made my first pre-loved purchase from TheRealReal recently and it will probably be my last. Photos are terrible and prices high. Lesson learned.
I'm surprised you say the prices are high. I've always found their prices to be good and I've found some of my best bargains from The Real Real. Maybe we're just looking at different things. ;) I would encourage you not to give up on them yet. Most of my experiences have been great.

I was wondering if you were going to return it when I saw your IG posting. Chanel is expensive pre loved, even the old crappy pieces are way too expensive for what you get.. Ohhh recently more friends of mine have had quality issues with LV purchased in the last year and had to return but got full credit for replacements.

IMHO The Real Real is not very good at disclosing faults. I won't purchase from them again. I love buying pre-loved, but a great deal isn't if you aren't assured of what you are getting.
Won't Chanel fix that for free? I thought they stood behind that type of stuff.

I don't know if you need a purchase history. You could have received it as a gift. I know Coach did free repairs for my mom, and cleaning, and you would think Chanel does more than Coach. Maybe worth a try?
It seems like you buy things just to unbox them on your channel, and then find something wrong with them so you can return them... you even pull out the good ole microscope if you can't find anything wrong at first haha. and then you get another video out of it by explaining why you're returning/what you found wrong with it. Lol its pretty genius actually.
If that's what you think I do then you haven't seen many of my videos. I've only returned about 3 things that I've unboxed on my channel. It could be a clever idea for someone else, I suppose, but not for me.
