- Miss V from Moscow is a 1942 wartime spy thriller movie. The Miss V of the title is for Vera Marova, a Soviet spy sent to Paris to impersonate her lookalike, a German spy recently liquidated by the French Resistance. As with other, perhaps better-known American films produced in World War II like Mission to Moscow and the Song of Russia, the film has a pronounced pro-Soviet tone. Broken Trout Movies

There are dozens of movies and films on WWII on YT that tell some of the real stories. The British and French spies probably inspired the most, but Germany, Russia, the US and most others had a lot of spies (even Italy, but not many lived long). There are several famous female spies as well. Enjoy!

I expected to see Clark Kent and Lois Lane come to the rescue. They used good stock footage of Hitler and the reich's buffoonery to good advantage as well as stock Navy footage of the allied convoys. It was spliced quite well into the movie. A "V" for victory.
And your exactly what we expected to hear from when confronted with artistic representation.

Some of the footage looked like Leni Riefenstahl's footage from Nuremberg. It shows they actually tried to make a real WWII movie out of this... well, they tried and it was fun.
Bonus points to the yahtzee for kicking thru the fairly stout door at the end.

If uber-Poverty Row studio PRC had a dime for every accent in this picture that's overdone, misplaced or non-existent, they'd be MGM! I love how Miss V (Lola Lane, an appealing actress who looks adorable in oversized hats) is a Russian spy posing as a German but has an American accent. (Maybe to come off as neutral?) This is one of several Hollywood productions made during WW2 to promote American-Russian friendship against the Nazis. Warner Bros. got into big trouble the following decade for making the pro-Stalin Mission to Moscow, but I'm sure this little cheapie, being PRC and all, went completely unnoticed. Talk about going undercover! 5/10.

Hilarious- nobody can act, but nobody cares because it's a fun movie to watch. WWII buffs like me tend to be dissatisfied when movies have a bunch of unrealistic stuff going on. I like the way they put some of the footage of Hitler (Nuremberg, etc.), which was surreal amid the rest of the movie, but I enjoyed it. I'm sure they didn't think it was funny, and it shows they tried and probably took a lot of pride in making "a real WWII movie", so it gets a thumbs up & a spot on my WWII list.

Audio sound quality is very much poor and noisy and that causes hearing difficulties otherwise it's a great story ❤

Lola Lane sounds like a woman from the US Midwest. Certainly not Russian, German or French. Other actors are almost as bad. It is historically interesting.
Excellent. Her full name would be LORETTA ANNABEL LANE . She was the 4H Winner 3times at the Ohio State Fair. Her prized Dairy Cow ,” Molly Jane “ stole the show, along with Miss Lanes Bobby Socks.

Film very interesting acting really bad
Lola Lane was a very convincing Russian but the movie was OK overall. that was an Italian plane show being shot down. Not sure if the Aeronautica Militare Italiana operated in the
