Another nice detail of this watch that wasn't mentioned in the video is that if you went for the no-date model (like me) then it would have an applied marker where the date window is supposed to be and the movement is a true no-date movement with only one click rather than two on a typical ETA 28-24.
Great video, i own Abyss Blue and really like it. They sold out not in 24 hours but in 3 min. The last pre order was open for 7 days though. But they don't want to offer another production run for Seaforth, so whatever is out there that's it. Too bad, because this is really great watch. And i agree it should be offered on bracelet because it looks better that way.
I just picked up the same pastel blue model you have featured here on the secondary market and the pricing seems to be higher then the preorder price LOL!! Looking forward to receiving it. Thanks again for another great review Bruce.
The Halios WUS forum has plenty of posts showing owners that have used (amongst others) Ginault, Seiko and Invicta bracelets on the Seaforth. I’ve used a Seiko bracelet on my Seaforth Mk1 but usually have it on a Hadley Roma strap. Nice review Bruce!
Great review as usual! Love this brand, attention to detail is on point for sure. That blue dial colour and style/size just makes it a stunning diver. 🇨🇦
I can count myself among the lucky few. I have a Mk. III no date pastel blue with the 12 hr bezel. I concur that a bracelet option would be nice. I'm currently shopping for a suitable bracelet and leather strap. And to echo Bruce, it wears GREAT. Nice watch! If you can get it.
currently "Colareb" style watch leather straps are out of control. It just seems like most of micro brands are using Colareb style watch bands. Some point in time, it got to stop. By the way, having the matching date wheel looks really good and professionally done. Also with $700 price tag, it SHOULD come with a nice custom-made metal bracelet. It actually would look much nicer with a good fitting metal bracelet. IMO, I do not think that you can actually hear ETA rotor movement (unless you have the superman hearing...or you walk with your watch 10 inches from your ear... That would be very funny though...). I also own a lot of watches with ETA and it does feel bit gritty when you wind up, but I guess that Halio did not modify the movement in any ways...
I have the same Pastel Blue except without the date. It is a super clean look, and the finishing is well-executed. For $700ish, I think it’s a solid pickup. Could see these going up in price in a few years bc there aren’t going to be any more runs, at least not in steel or Pastel Blue as per Jason Lim on Insta.
I own both. The Monta bracelet fits, but doesn't look as good on it as the Ginault bracelet. The Monta and the Halios play at different levels so it's not really a fair comparison.
Extremely sharp watches...good point - watches should come with a metal bracelet and these extra straps can always be a good add on...but the dial and the applied markers - Sharp....
Definitely the hottest microbrand watch. Sell out in 24 hours? Try more like well under 30 minutes upon launch. My good friend also couldn't decide so he bought 3 configurations, 1 in anthracite and 2 in pastel blue. He ended up keeping 2, 1 of each color. Sadly, this truly may be the last Seaforth run according to Halios instagram. Yes. I've also been saying thru need a bracelet option. But, apparently he wants to be sure he has a quality mfg for one first. On a much more affordable scale, Halios is sort of like the Rolex of the microbrand world in terms of supply and demand and the solid pricing and resale value which I see has a bit of a bubble.
I had a series 1 Seaforth with a Miyota movement. There I found the sound of the rotor a bit too loud. Now I'm a lucky owner of the GMT Seaforth and it's awesome. Have it on a Ginault bracelet. Cheers from Germany Daniel /@daniels_watches
I love the dials and the colors. The hand set is great. However, I'm not so enthused by the case design. The sides of the case and the lugs are a bit plain. Would prefer more beveling and transitions from brushed to polished as you see on most Seiko's. Also agree that at $700 it should come with a bracelet. Otherwise great pieces. Cheers.
Nice watch. But the waiting game is just that. .... A waiting marketing game. With the ten's of thousands of watches out there I'll just purchase another brand.
I like the Halios Seaforth and tried to get one, but after several announcements it was sold out within minutes. I'm to old for this kind of games.
Preorder open right now dude
Man those seaforths are absolutely beautiful! Especially the anthracite wow !!

Oh dang that's disappointing Jason is done with the model!

Thanks for the info Jake!

Nice, i was able to scoop the pastel w/ steel bezel. Love it and the straps they came with are nice too!
Don't forget to show the back of the watch Bruce. Good review, enjoyed it.
Think I forgot. It's very bland
What is the company you got the mesh bracelet from ? I did not understand the company name properly
I'll be happy if I can get a GMT on the secondary.

I like the Grey one. Reminds me of a Blancpain Fifty Fathoms

I am guessing it was just bought and dropped in the case. Halios has made nice bracelets in the past, they should do another run with one
I love the matching date wheel.

Can you compare this to the Monta Ocean King? Also, I heard that the Monta bracelets fit these fairly well.
I own both. The Monta bracelet fits, but doesn't look as good on it as the Ginault bracelet. The Monta and the Halios play at different levels so it's not really a fair comparison.
@@tfacison my bad. I *meant* the Ginault bracelet, which is closer in price to Halios.
The pastel colored one is very nice. The AR coating is only from 1 side?
Yes the underside
Good looking watch, but rightly said about the bracelet. At this price, a bracelet is a must.
Bruce, I really wanted see the caseback...
Sorry it's sterile nothing to see
Extremely sharp watches...good point - watches should come with a metal bracelet and these extra straps can always be a good add on...but the dial and the applied markers - Sharp....
Very nice watches. I want both!
Beautiful mesh bracelet. What is brand?
Staib
@@BruceWilliams thanks
Good looking and good price.

great finish
very nice watches

I like 12 hour bezels, use it as another time zone.
Not too big, not too small, just the size of Montreal. Fan.tas.tic!
I'm surprised it's so popular without having a bracelet
It’s a shame the 12 hour bezel doesn’t have 12/24 clicks. Always seems cheap to me.
Well it's a diver first, so you still need 60/120 clicks. I agree the GMT version should have had 12/24 clicks though

I think your right the finishing is nothing special for this price, def could be better
Correct the title of the video to HalioS ;)
Thanks for pointing that out, fixed now :)
Beautiful
I really like them! But I would go with a Zelos
I would buy one if it had stainless bracelet and ETA 2892A2 movement with sapphire viewing back cover
Nice watch. But the waiting game is just that. .... A waiting marketing game. With the ten's of thousands of watches out there I'll just purchase another brand.
Too bad they're sold out
