I Love your videos, but I do have one small suggestion. I have diagnosed obsessive-compulsive disorder, and it’s often misrepresented, as it was here. OCD is not just a preference for tidiness. It can be, certainly. It’s a disorder that often impairs someone’s abilities to lead a peaceful or even functional life. Mine has nothing to do with tidiness. Usually it’s also preceded by intrusive thoughts that are unwanted and contrary to one’s values. For me, it has been harrowing and life-altering and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. So when I hear someone toss it sound like it’s just a quirk, I feel like I need to say something. Please continue making these videos, just without making light of something so difficult.

Thank you for supporting my videos. Apologies it sounded if I was making light of OCD, for me it's not about being tidy, but a genuine issue where things can't touch each other. My husband has diagnosed OCD, so we sympathise. I really just try to keep my videos as light as possible, so it was unintentional to offend anyone 🙏

People are so dang sensitive these days. Every feels the need to control other’s speech because they got offended. OMGoodness can we all just be individuals without outside control, opinions, emotional manipulation and freakin’ guilt trips. She does a good job here and no one knows if there is a situation… people just jump to the offense unnecessarily. So over it. Thanks for sharing with us and my apologies that you have to deal with this crap!

I've always stored my fabrics in storage boxes, but done so by color, prints, stripes, florals, etc. Not any more! Your way of storing by yard, half yard, scraps is great. I especially love the way you fold them and store them. I've always laid them flat on top of one another and it's hard to see some in the middle, thus having to take them all out. Thank you for this video. Going to redo my fabrics using this method. 😀

The cards are an interesting way to use scraps. I think my nieces would really enjoy making cards like that. The fabric that I have is currently rolled up and stashed in various shoe boxes and it's getting annoying moving the boxes around and looking for certain types of fabrics or looking at what I have

I make doll clothes so scraps are what I use. I buy the left over fabric that fabric stores have marked down or 1/4 yard strips. I design my own patterns. So I never know what scrape piece of fabric I might need or can use in a project. I think I can use a couple of your storage options, I like the idea of using clear bins.

I have tried several methods for storing my fabric stash. Over the years, I have re-used plastic spinach containers folding the fabric standing it up which is same as your system. I love being able to see what you have so continue to use for some fabrics. I also use comic boards for storing the fabric in my cupboard. I also use the filing system in one bin. For the fabric (and clothes) stored in drawers the stand up method works best. If I can find the containers that will fit my shelves I will switch again. Thank you so much for such an informative video!

The harder that I try to get and stay organized, the worse it sometimes gets, particularly after working on a couple of related projects-e.g., pillows or hanging towels. I have always been so organized, but I am now having trouble staying organized. The plastic boxes (even though I hate to buy plastic because of the environmental issues) seem like something that would really help me, Stacey. Thanks for the organized and thoughtful video. I will try this! I have tried placing all scraps of the same or coordinating colors in huge ziplock bags. They aren’t in a precut mode, though. I think that I would use them more readily if I would adhere to your plan. Thanks again! Pat Berne

Have been doing the same method but without the clear containers... As for scraps, I place all similar colors together then pair them with an opposite color for ease on my eyes (red scraps with green ones, blue with orange, etc.) then put them in a big Ziploc bags. You're right though- if they suddenly disappeared I don't think I'd miss them... And when you have something to make isn't it way more fun to go shopping for fabric than to check the stash?

Great info, thank you. I think your method would work for me too. I was thinking about the comic boards but knew there was a reason I didn’t go down that rabbit hole.
