Amazingly done! Everyone who worked on this deserve to be applauded for it! Voice acting was great, the direction was amazing, and I'm looking forward to seeing what else comes out of this for sure!
This was absolutely amazing! WoW offers so many great Alt-History possibilities and What If? scenarios. It is great to see something like this. I cannot wait for whats next.
That is honestly amazing. I can't believe how incredible your animation became. This is truly beautiful to witness, and i'll be honest, i can't even think of anything wrong in that machinima xD The ambiance, the voice acting, and those little draw details you put between chapter, that is really cool ! Keep up the great work, this is so good to watch
@SirThompshire I mean, we know a lot of them survived, including their King up to Mists, so something can be definitely written to have the Drakkari begin to rebuild.... the Farakki becoming a desert jewel would be cool as well.
Such an awesome video, the voice acting really got me so immersed- and the sound effects, music.. oh man it was just perfect. I already look forward to an episode 2, so awesome!!!
Thompshire out here casually dropping visual masterworks! Superb job on all fronts, I know a project of this scale is no easy feat! Looking forward to what else you have in store for us
My my! This is a perfect love letter to WoW's lore, and it shows how much of that love you've poured into it! Thank you for your art, I will wait for more eagerly!
This is excellent, the artwork and design, voice work, and the story are spot on. I love that Kairozdormu was instigating. I love alternate universe things and this was very well done. The facts of the Siege of Orgrimmar still being in there but twisted, I loved it. I can't wait for the next one. You got a sub and like on this, bravo!
Wow what a piece! I am GUTTEED that Lor'themar dies here, absolutely loved the VA's work with him. I've always loved his and Sylvanas' SoO dialogue and it was done justice here. This is really a brutal look into an alternative history and as much as it hurts to lose some of my faves, I'm eager to see where this is going. Extremely ambitious and well-delivered fan work!
Wait a second... I see what you're putting down 🤫(Or maybe I'm getting my hopes up for nothing. Don't tell me which!) Looking forward to more even more eagerly now!
Wow. Just wow. This was incredible. I don't know what I was expecting when I clicked the video, but whatever I had thought it'd be this delivered 10,000 times more than that! From the animation, to the voice acting, to the background music, to the story, to the way it stayed true to the world and its characters; this was just so well done! If there's one thing that could be improved for the next episodes; I'd say maybe some of the transitions between the scenes could have been better. But that is a small note in the grand scheme of things. Incredible watch! You've earned a sub, and I hope this gets MANY more views. I certainly know it deserves it.
@@BlututhHS Thank you that means so much (And valid lmao, I definitely suck at transitions, made worse by the cuts we had to do to the script) Glad you found the characters and world to be believable, our main goal here was to make something fun out of the pieces we have, not pull a "what if modern wow was good" which some people unfortunately percieve it as. Jaina was my favorite of this episode. EZ Clap. This is the first time I just can't get enough of Jaina in her every scene her voice actress in this episode did a phenomenal job! Thank you for this.
Love the story you got here. I saw a pic once of Arthas as King of Lordaeron and paladin of the silver hand. I was thinking in that timeline if he stayed good and became king, what if Varian was the one to then seek out frostmourne to try and kill the orcs after they took Stormwind and what that timeline would look like.
Soo sad 😢😢😢 thanks to the light that not happend in curet timeline it was vrey sad to watching, BUT good job that was great 👏🏻 + a bonus, I watching all of you and never disappointed me i'am honored to be your subscriber ❤ 😭

Great work indeed. I'm looking forward how the True Horde and Garrosh himself will interact with the different Iron Horde Warlords. It was quite the shame that Blizzard just villain batted all these characters even without successful Legion corruption. I always thought the Yaungol and at least some Mogu Clans could have been fitting recruits for Garroshs True Horde. Although Lei Shen shouldn't be really killable, with the Mogu being masters of soul magic and they can literally create new bodies. Especially because Lei Shens power should be connected to bis soul, not bis heart or Throne of Thunder. Maybe the Mogu Necro Lords have an ace up their sleeves. I personally like this version of Jaina. That picture with her and Anduin at the end tells a lot. Rough times ahead für Anduin. I like that the factions are potentially more split apart into groups who fit well together. More like in WC 3 Abs Frozen Throne. Its wild where this could go, thinking of all the races and also greater powers like the Legion who can play a role in this. I really die not expect Gadrins death. That was sad. I'm looking forward seeing where this story might be heading. Thank you for your teams great work. May you have much Fun and success with this project.
You did a great work but it is not cannon. It should've been cannon. I'm not a fan of non-cannon works. Except the movie. I love that. That is the sole exception. 24 50 Still that Vrynn moment was great. So are Lor'Themar and Varian really gone. Why wasn't Zandalari vs Blood elves featured
Alternate universe. Canon isn't necessary when you're changing the time and the locations of the characters. If you've ever sat and thought about your character's actions, some of that isn't canon either, we're not written into the story, we act on it. This is a great "what if" story.
Man I hate to say anything negative about this animation because it is so good, so cool. But I just don't like it. I don't like seeing Vol'jin shafted again and the Darkspear Trolls treated as weak fodder, the Zandalari only being mighty and victorious when they're on the side of evil. I don't like seeing Garrosh winning even if he lost the Heart. And that's not really constructive criticism is it? It's just me finding out this story won't be for me. Still credit where it's due, this project is amazing! Well done mates.
That's totally valid, not every story will be enjoyed for everyone. Ironroth is meant to explore a world where Garrosh is victorious (not because he did "nothing wrong", much to the contrary lmao, but because I and the other people involved find him a fascinating character), and how the world struggles against him, it's not necessarily meant as happy or victorious (Hell I killed my goat Varian). The Zandalari meanwhile kinda follow their antagonistic depiction they've had up until Bfa, especially with Zul still and Rastakhan's side, and Zandalar still dealing with the after effects of the cataclysm. As for your point regarding Vol'jin, I think his scene merits a second look, that's all I'll say on the matter.

This is alternate reality, a "what if" type of story. Of course they don't act like the originals do, that's part of the Bronze Dragon's design. I'm not only one of the lore lovers (the reason I play the game), but I'm also someone who has read a lot of books (English degree) and looked at history (History degree) and there are a lot of works out there where we get a "what if" story. A well-known novel exploring the "what if Germany won World War II" scenario is "The Man in the High Castle" by Philip K. Dick; it depicts a world where the Axis powers, including Germany, are victorious and divide the globe between them, with the story following characters navigating life under Nazi rule in the United States. Also, If the South Had Won the Civil War is a 1961 alternate history book by MacKinlay Kantor, a writer who also wrote several novels about the American Civil War. Both books explore the changes that would happen in those circumstances. There are others, and some works of fiction take known characters and people but not the setting, changing things around. I write a vampire series. I have Dracula in one scene. The Archangel Michael has a large part in the story. Heck, I have both Jean Lafitte and Rasputin as vampires. But it's done in the year 2005 and later. I started the series with a 3-chapter scene in the most famous New Orleans brothel in Storyville New Orleans. Mahogany Hall was a real place, and when I wrote those, everyone except the main character, the antagonist and his ghoul, and the bouncer for the brothel were the real people in that time, in that place, doing that job. I have that from some deep research, I took the names of the girls in the brothel from the 1900 Census. I got the names of the police officers for Storyville sector from someone's masters thesis at Tulane. It's the same as the story here, it's not reality, even with the real people added. This is alternate reality, something I had though of as "what if" and it grew from there. That's the same with this story, which is excellent. It's not canon, won't ever be, but it IS a great work of alternate fiction set in the World of Warcraft universe.
