As someone who worked at Sephora when they were in their prime and when they closed doors, Marc Jacob’s closing was soooo rough, mainly because their eyeliners were so unmatched. Like the amount of clients that came in made as hell we didn’t have Marc Jacob’s eyeliners anymore was absolutely insane
I remember when Elf only had $1-$3 products. I still couldn't afford them as a young kid, but once I got my first paycheck I remember ordering one of almost everything on their website. I also ordered Coastal Scent brushes and remembering I finally had good brushes.
Oh Marc jacobs is DEFINITELY missed in the retail space. Especially their eyeliners. The BEST hands down for mature or oily eyelids. I have hope they will return, especially with the popularity of their fragrances.
I think Marc Jacobs never got the sendoff it deserved because the brand kept saying that they were going to relaunch, but they never did. So it ended up being a slow fade rather than a decisive good-bye.
I just heard the other day that Marc Jacobs Beauty is coming exclusively to Net-a-Porter! Not sure about what products they're bringing back and whether the formulas will be the same
Elf coming out and being so affordable got me hooked into makeup because I could finally afford it, the brushes, a whole face full of elf. Then colourpop wow! I was buying so much!
Marc Jacobs lipsticks are still unparalleled to this day. Their eyeshadows were good. Their bronzers were amazing and their eyeliner was also amazing. I dont understand how they went under. I think people just lost interest in luxury beauty there for a while and drugstore brands really started upping their game.
Oh NYC... They made the first eyeliner I was allowed to wear to school in 7th grade (99-00?) It was a metallic warm purple pencil liner and I wore it so thick across my top eyelid. No regrets.
On the topic of coastal scents, I think a lot of brands who sell singles are struggling. Menagerie stopped selling singles, klarity is phasing them out, Adept stopped a while ago. Clionadh just put out a palette & I'm nervous lol 😅 I know some folks could care less about singles, but building custom palettes is a passion of mine!!
Nomad just started selling singles. I absolutely love their color stories so I end up just getting the entire palette, but Menagerie not doing singles makes me sad!
I don't think we need to worry about Clionadh. Their Stained Glass collection is probably not going anywhere. Palettes (especially multichrome) are great for people who can't decide what to get and just want something easy to buy. I personally rather pick mine up individually and enjoy them from there. Sydney Grace is doing palettes and singles both. I think they have a market for both. And they sell empty magnetic palettes too, so that helps for people who want to make their own color stories.
@@kaitlynsvintagecloset I believe it would be more expensive because you will need to buy extra stock of the eyeshadows (or get more ingredients if an indie brand makes the formula themselves) so one part can stay as singles in a warehouse, however, probably singles aren’t as profitable as already made and marketed palettes so the singles aren’t “moving” and stuck products make you lose money because you aren’t selling what you invested on them. You could do an extra effort to push the singles and promote them, but overall for an indie brands it would be a risk to keep it like that because you can’t assure a selling that equals or exceeds predesign palettes
I remember when OCC was the go to for lip tars and glossy eyes. I’ll never forget rocking Technopagan (blue duocrome) lip tar. I can’t tell you how many of them I sold because of how versatile the lip tars were. When I worked at Sephora they were one of the only brand at the time that had statement colors and black for the lips. The lip tars were SO pigmented. It was so hard to get through a full tube of product.
About Marc Jacobs - I loved the lipsticks. I still own their true blue red shade. I should probably toss it but now that the brand is gone I’m definitely saving it forever.
Bite also removing their more interesting colors (Kale, Squid Ink, Peacock Pearl, etc) was also a death knell. Those colors were rich, moisturizing and just amazing all around. Losing them across so many brands really hurt the makeup lovers who weren't on board with the Nude-pocalypse that hit in the late '00s and '10s.
I just decluttered a bunch of Marc Jacobs eyeliners this morning 😞 they were AMAZING and so many of the products were so good. And the fact that I used my last Bite agave lip mask almost made me cry
@@danih3371 yeah that one. I only used that product at night and it was kept on my dresser, so I didn’t mind that the tube would bust open. But dang, the smell of that product and how I could still feel a layer on my lips when I woke up… I haven’t been able to find another product that is comparable IMO
BECCA is the brand I miss the most, but I miss them mostly the way they were before the sold to Estee Lauder. I LOVED the natural, beachy vibe of the brand, and they had some really great and unique products during that time.
Yessssssss, I got their bronzer at Marshall’s when they went under and omg it is the best bronzer I’ve ever used, it’s cool toned, doesn’t pull orange at all and is just amazing! I regret not buying more of them when I had the chance every time I use it 😢
@@Lúthien_Tinúviel89 I also have three of their limited edition highlighters if I knew they weren’t going to be around anymore I would of brought back ups of the bronzers
I don’t think it was just the reformulation of lip mask that hurt Bite (thought it is in some ways emblematic of what happened), it was that they completely changed the focus of their entire brand and in doing so, lost their original customer base. Before their rebrand, they were all lip products and multi-stick type products. When they rebranded, they discontinued the entire product line and returned with almost no lip products! It was so weird! Like it’s not a problem that Bite wanted to come out with a skin tint, but they came out with a skin tint before they brought a lipstick line back. That’s not branching out, that’s a complete reinvention of a brand. That left original fans with little reason to return to the brand and there weren’t enough new consumers who found their new vegan, clean beauty identity appealing enough to carry it along, especially not when other brands were doing it better than they did. And then they finally launched a new lipstick line and it was a dud. Inferior to their old lipsticks in practically every way. I’m not surprised they went out of business. I’ve never seen a brand self sabotage themselves more spectacularly than they did.
When they discontinued the whole lipstick line to reformulate, they didn't bring back any of the colors that I loved. I still have one that's a HG that I take to stores to try to match as it's completely expired, but no luck at all. Even Temptalia didn't come through for me.
@@adoptingjoseph oh i feel that. def was a pretty shade. i used up thistle entirely before the final rebrand and they didn't bring back that shade. it's been a process looking for something i love quite like that one. it's so hard to find replacements that are as nourishing, long wearing, the same shade, and boldly pigmented. I feel like I've seen shades similar to Grenache in MAC's various ranges, Uoma's cream bullet range (not the mattes), and the urban decay vice hydrating range. but, yeah, not formula dupes. good luck....hope you'll get a chance to visit a lip lab and make your shade again. i wish i had a nub of thistle to do that!!
I dont remember which beauty guru said this a long time ago... but they said to take out your perfect match of foundation. Swatch it and memorize the shade. Once i did that, my choices are right more often than not. Ive gotten really good at shade matching myself.
@Cait Henry buy a foundation mixer. It was the best decision I made. You can color correct a foundation to your perfect shade. LA Girl sells them and so does Makeup Forever.
I think this is going to continue. The beauty market is overly saturated. Unfortunately, I think small, indie brands and some of the more ethical brands are the ones that are going to suffer.
Not sure if you read my comment on the last video, but Becca is still out there, you could get them underneath the smash box brand. It’s Becca X smash box and you could still get the skin perfector’s.
I love makeup but hate the canvas I have to work with. Dark circles that nothing can cover have appeared with time, I have zero lid space and pores that look like an orange peel. It’s so fun yet frustrating watching you create these gorgeous eyeshadow looks, Lauren, and knowing I can’t dupe them because my eyes are so deep set. It won’t stop me from loving it though!
Take the inspiration! The type of colors and vibe of the look. Tailor it to you and how you like to do your makeup! If you're having fun while doing it it doesn't matter 😊
I love that we have UA-cam to be able to find other makeup lovers cause I can't find that in my backyard. I love that makeup allows you to be creative and your able to change it everyday. Unlike other hobbies you put together or get and then do nothing with it makeup is what we use constantly.
Bareminerals has an excellent more hydrating stick foundation. Idk how it would work on oily skin but on my normal to dry 45 year old skin it's beautiful.
Oh Becca had such a beautiful pink blurring powder that was perfect for my under eye. I was lucky enough to get the large Makeup Geek pallets when they restock. Then I get hit with they are closing. I hate when small or indie brands close. The indie brands always have such unique eyeshadows. 😭😭😭
Two co-workers and I visited Lip Lab in the Century City mall last month. We each made 2 custom lipsticks. We had such a good time. They also carry the agave lip masks! I recommend going with a group.
I discovered Jordana in 2020 right before Jen Phelps did a video about that brand. They shut down I believe in the fall of 2021 - I still use the cream bronzers and highlights I picked up. They are just as creamy and pigmented as when I first used them. Honestly the bronzer formula reminds me so much of the Rare Beauty cream bronzer sticks and they used to sell them for around $10. Jordana was created by the founder(s) of Milani so idk why they didn’t keep the cream formulas but the Jordana formula worked so well and the value was great.
I get what you mean about KKW and Kylie, etc. I think it’s because they don’t seem to have any real personal investment in the companies. It’s simply a money-making vehicle for them, not a passion project. So when it folds it is not destroying a dream like so many of these small indie brands.
I miss the Marc Jacobs eyeliners. I also enjoyed the formula of their matte eyeshadow. It was easy to blend. Many people adored that Omega bronzer. I saw countless reviews on that huge bronzer that was the size of my head.
Does anyone remember Perscriptives or Prescriptives (can't remember the spelling) used to be sold at Macy's and they guaranteed a perfect shade match? This was in the late 90's.
I feel the same about makeup I can’t really afford to buy much especially high end but that doesn’t change my love for thank goodness the Drugstore Brands has come so far in the quality of their products.
Yeah, this vid made me pull out my old bh cosmetics palette and do a shimmery green ombre eye look for work today! It would've been awesome except I'm 40 and a tax accountant...so instead of compliments, I only got double-takes and one or two conservatively raised brows. Lol.
I have palettes for 10 years ago that still work perfect and had no issues with my eyes or skin. I don't worry about powders at all. I'm not throwing out an eyeshadow palette after 6-12 months.
TIP: I bought a travel size sprayer & filled it with rubbing alcohol…. Then I use it to occasionally spray my eyeshadows! It keeps them eye safe. As long as the shadows perform as expected… just spray them with alcohol. I spray mine at night.. then they are perfectly dry by morning. (But they should dry within an hour or so) *Some of my MUG shadows are old but they perform just fine!!*
@@cavlizzy exactly! People who think the same as i do! I make makeup & of course I follow the disposal laws in that regard HOWEVER when it comes to my own personal collection, no. Unless it’s declared clean makeup where you are running the risk of bacteria growing FAST. I look for a series of preservatives in the products ingredients list(me getting satisfaction when reading really good preservatives lol) & I highly recommend keeping the boxes if not already then from now on. If really concerned just write a date in the inside of the box so you don’t have to ruin the packaging itself the product is in. Alcohol is used on many different products bc it reinforces the inhibition of bacteria growing
I regret to this day not buying the Marc Jacobs bronzer when I had the chance and now the second hand ones are worth their weight in gold, but it was just out of my price range at the time. Also yes for part 3!
Your nails are so freaking cute! It really suits you. It’s similar to your favorite inner corner color haha. I get stuck on colors, without realizing it lol ❤
I still have my big Marc Jacobs bronzer and khaki eyeshadow palette that I love but use sparingly because they’re literally irreplaceable. I was recently looking thru my neighbors magazine collection and saw an ad from 2012 for NYC ! I had totally forgot about them but loved them. You should look at some old magazines and talk about some products from them. That’s nostalgia.
oh god i miss marc jacobs so bad. i got my first job and started getting into high end makeup and the accomplice stick concealer was my faaaavorite. i even kept it in my bag in case i was running late and had no time for makeup. i even only decluttered my massive bronzer from them just last year when i FINALLY hit pan after 3-4 years of it being my only bronzer. still waiting for them to come back.
Ugh, I loved Marc Jacobs beauty. The omega bronzer was hands down the BEST! It was pricy but huge. I loved their eyeliner, mascara, lipsticks, eyeshadow pallets, all of the things. I’ll never get over it. If I had known I would have stocked up.
I went to the lip lab for my 25th birthday and it was super fun! They also had a bachelorette group there who seemed to have an awesome time as well. I wear mine all the time and almost a year later it still is holding up and smelling nice
I have two things from that Marc Jacobs cherry collection: the gigantic highlighter compact and the eyeshadow palette. The packaging is the absolute cutest and you inspired me to put the highlight on today (it's dark enough to be a blushlight on me) 🍒🍒
I used to religiously wear the NYC black liquid liner, sunny bronzer, and the loose setting powder. I definitely miss the loose setting powder the most. For $3 I got the SMOOTHEST skin ever. Like my pores were gone. Rip 💙
Marc Jacobs was so good! They had a contour duo that was in their big circle pan. A highlighting and contour powder. Holy crap! It was so good. I happened to find one on Sephora a few years ago, and grabbed it immediately because I hadn't seen them for a while. Thank God I did. It's waiting for me, un-opened, un-touched for when I run out of the one I'm using now. Also, their Youthquake moisturizer. One of the best moisturizers ever! I was so sad to see them go.
I caught new drops at Marshalls yesterday Kvd lock it foundation, pm palettes, naked palettes, so much stila, nars star cheek palettes, Mac facenbody, fix+, kate Summerville, too faced chocolate bronzer, ellis Brooklyn fragrance, dr jart, belief, osea! I got so much.
I loved the hot pots so much that I was trying to ration how many I bought each time they had the $1 sale. I can't help but feel like I should have jusy bought the colors I wanted since they went out of business. Victorian pear was and is my favorite. It is one of those neutrals that looks just like a boring champagne until you swatch it and it had a slight slight green flash and little green sparkles and it is so special. Hope you got to try that one before coastal scents was gone!
I was lucky enough to get the illusive Daily Grind Marc Jacobs' eyeshadow palette. Apparently it didn't get released before they closed, so it was just quietly sold off to places like TJ Maxx. It was selling like crazy on Mecari. But I'm glad I kept it. Great formula! Their slim eyeliners omg. I haven't found a dupe yet. They were truly unique to the market. Great formula & component for tightlining. I only have one left I scored at TJ Maxx 😭
I was out of the makeup game for a while and I can't believe bite beauty is gone 😭 they always had such fun colors. I'm goth but love a pop of color on my lips something and it can be hard to find something other than red nude or pink.
Also depending on where you live in the world sometimes brands disappear in your country even though they're still available somewhere else. I live in Germany and Revlon for example just kinda disappeared. I found online retailers with a Revlon section but it's either empty or only has hair products.
The MJ liners are so good. I picked up two colours when they are selling things off at sephora and I regret not getting more shades. I also think their blush formula is so good! I still have flesh and fantasy and will not get rid of it because its still good and for a long time it was my perfect neutral blush - there is a dupe now for it that is a good colour and formula but my stubborn ass wants to pan the the MJ. I could happily use that colour all the time. And I am going to treasure my Becca capri coast and athr amertine quad till I finish both of those! Part 3 please!
I think Marc Jacobs didnt affect us much because, the rumour was they were stepping down with the plan to come back. They were going to be reformulated or something. It was never official from the brand but that was the rumour so I think we were all just “oh, when are they back? Oh we dont know YET, okay” I have one of their 7 shadows palete and love it. When in doubt I use MJ extravagance! palete.
I loooooove the Marc Jacobs eyeshadow pallet I picked up on sale. Their concealer was garbage, but that pallet is still my favorite. Such a nice little package.
I would love watching my mom out on makeup in the 90s and playing with all her expensive stuff (Lancôme, stila, mac, este lauder) I would even pretend to show people in the mirror how to put on makeup (this is late 90s way before UA-cam was a thing!) Then when I went through my lowest point in life around 2014/15 I could makeup on UA-cam. Never watched YT except for Michelle Phan but I got sucked into this amazing and fun makeup community and it saved my sanity. It got me into something other than sadness and truly helped me heal. That’s why it was so hard for me to see all this makeup community drama because I felt like they were my little happy place and it was relaxed by drama. Oh well. It was great while it lasted and while I’m not into makeup like I was, it still has a huge place in my heart and I can’t wait to share with my daughter!
My fave Marc Jacobs product is still the Extravagance! eye shadow palette OMG it is SO good, the three shades in the middle are _so sparkly_ and like it's impossible to mess up a look when using it and it's just such a staple easy grungy neutral palette I love to death. Is the Lip Lab the one at the Spectrum? I know when it had the coming soon walls up or whatever it was "Bite" Lip Lab and that was in 2020 (before I moved out of state), so I never saw if it actually opened or not and I wonder if they just rebranded that store to be the Lip Lab now lol
Bite did have cream blushes. It was their multi sticks for cheek lip and eyes. I still have it in Cava and a light orange nude tone… still love it lol. I have lots of bite products and made a few customs on my bachelorette in NYC. Still love them.
I know this is a “dead brand” video, but I would love to see more dupes of eyeshadow pallets video. It’s been a while since you’ve made one. I hope other people are just as interested as I am.
The thing about ATHR beauty is I never and I mean NEVER heard anyone talking about them and most of their products looked similar. Interestingly, I favorite item of theirs that I truly LOVE and use all the time is a blush palette that I have. It is three blushes in the pink/coral family and it is gorgeous, lasts, and is easy to take for travel. Marc Jacobs’ Tantastic bronzer or was it Terra is great too, but those long skinny eyeshadow palettes were IMPOSSIBLE to store. It was so hard to find them in my collection that I eventually decluttered all of them. I wish they had changed their packaging! I also love Marc Jacobs lipsticks. And REALLY love BIte Beauty’s foundation!!!!! Still do! And I still use ALL my KKW eyeshadow palettes and lipsticks. They have survived every declutter.
I miss Marc Jacobs BROWN(IE) eyeliner - it was the perfect mid-tone warm almost red-brown liner that did not budge in the waterline. The only liner I have been able to find like it and I repurchased it so often. The only eyeliners that are sort of close are the Victoria Beckham but those are much more blendable and don’t last as long/smudge more easily. Also Marc jacobs powder eyeshadows were beautiful with really pigmented shimmers and metallics. I miss that brand every day I use eye liner 😢.
Yo, back in 2019 the Coastal Scents Hot Pots were the only way I could afford to put together the Star Wars-inspired custom palettes of my dreams, before Colourpop came in clutch with their own stuff lol. I still have those 3 palettes (one for each of the Original Trilogy films), I never used them to this day, it was just a fun vanity project.
Still have a few Marc Jacobs beauty products (two eyeliners and yes they are amazing) and the coconut primer (finishing one, have a backup). It’s fantastic in the winter if you have dry skin and your skin doesn’t mind coconut.
I regret a lot of makeup purchases from my Sephora cast days, but I am so glad I bought two pieces from that Marc Jacobs cherry collection. I wish I had bought the shadow palette too.
I love Marc Jacobs makeup! I love their lip glosses. Every shade looked good on me. I have about four eye palettes. I do have the cherry one. But I love the one that came in the white case. The coconut bronze is huge. I don't know when I will hit pan. I miss it.
Hi I'm new here! I wanted to give you a protip about applying shimmers with nails. Buy a pack of those cheap sponge applicators from ulta or the drugstore and the little sponges apply exactly like a fingertip and they go on so buttery and the size can get right there into your inner corner lid.
I never really understood makeup until I started watching beauty channels on YT back in 2009. I feel like I've learned a lot of the years. Especially after realizing me eye shape is different from a lot of the bigger influencers. I am bummed I never got to try Marc Jacobs beauty. I always wanted too and back then I never had the money. I remember there was a holiday palette maybe in 2013/2014 that had a gray and a yellow eyeshadow and I wanted that palette so bad
I’m a gen x,so the internet was not around when I grew up and my mom was my makeup person. My mom had to wear a full face of make up at her work because she was in sales so she was always dressed up and a full face of makeup. Growing up I wore a full face also but as we both have gotten older we don’t wear it as much but when I do wear it, it’s a full face.😊😊😊😊😊😊
Mostly all of my MJ palettes I also purchased on clearance but I grabbed the ones I wanted & were most popular … I have such a big collection I haven’t tried any yet … I do use & love his eye liners & bronzer & lip glosses which were also really good 😅
I love my experiences at the Lip Lab. I definitely recommend going on a weekday when most people are at work lol it’s a more chill vibe that way. I went alone but I’m sure bringing a friend would be fun too. Marc Jacobs eyeliners were amazing! The formula and shade range were definitely there, I miss them. I also had their eyeshadow singles- so good. I’m gonna expose myself and say that I enjoyed KKW Beauty. The lip liner shades were my fave- the formula reminds me of Colourpop but the tones were perfection. I enjoyed the contour palette and contour sticks (when they redid the packaging lol) Talking about the ghosts of makeup past is giving all the feels 😔
My first dive into makeup was in the mid 1990s. I would buy Revlon Street Wear and Ultima II with my allowance. Wet N Wild was always just a small endcap rack of makeup with crappy $0.99 nail polishes and eyeliners. Then I started shoplifting makeup from Japanese stores (I lived in Japan as a teen). Then in my late teens/early twenties, I was all Maybelline/Revlon/Cover Girl. NYC Sunny Bronzer was my first bronzer in like 2003 or so. 2004 I bought my first MAC eyeshadow in while in the Air Force. Then went MAC crazy for years. I miss the old makeup days and curated collections so much 🥹
nyc loose powder was my holy grail when i found out it was being withdrawn from the uk i literally bulk bought 20 and worked my way gradually through the lot..day i finished the last was a sad sad day and ive still not found anything as good and it was only £2.99...... sob
Marc Jacobs had such good eyeliners. I personally love the eyeshadows. I have like a bunch of the palettes, got on sale of course. The duel colored powdered blushes are so pretty too and the lipsticks and glosses were good too. That oversized bronzer was really good too. I miss that aesthetic so much.

Their OG lip balm and masks with lanolin were the absolute best and GOAT. The vegan reformulation was terrible! I was so disappointed
When they discontinued the whole lipstick line to reformulate, they didn't bring back any of the colors that I loved. I still have one that's a HG that I take to stores to try to match as it's completely expired, but no luck at all. Even Temptalia didn't come through for me.
@@adoptingjoseph which one? i had a few bullets and lip crayon shades that i just adored and it has been a process finding matches.
@@Emma-se5wm Grenache. It was the perfect bright pink for me.
I've memorized it for the sephora shade match wiget...except very few brands carry a warm ivory lol
@Cait Henry buy a foundation mixer. It was the best decision I made. You can color correct a foundation to your perfect shade. LA Girl sells them and so does Makeup Forever.
A review with swatches of all phytosurgence blushes would be amazinggggggg
I would recommend trying Kryolan’s cream products for covering pores and dark circles. Changed my life.
Marc Jacobs tantastic bronzer and the steeletto eyeshadow palette are two things I cannot get rid of. They’re all I ever loved from the brand.
I got the Marc Jacobs cherry pallette at TJ Maxx for like $12. It is so good.
I love that we have UA-cam to be able to find other makeup lovers cause I can't find that in my backyard. I love that makeup allows you to be creative and your able to change it everyday. Unlike other hobbies you put together or get and then do nothing with it makeup is what we use constantly.
Agree 💯👍
So glad I live in a city with a Bite Lip Lab, I made my wedding lipstick with them! I miss everything else from them
Bareminerals has an excellent more hydrating stick foundation. Idk how it would work on oily skin but on my normal to dry 45 year old skin it's beautiful.
I wasn't into makeup 3 years ago but in declutter videos i constantly see Marc Jacobs and Becca products 😂! People are nostalgic ! 😊
Oh Becca had such a beautiful pink blurring powder that was perfect for my under eye. I was lucky enough to get the large Makeup Geek pallets when they restock. Then I get hit with they are closing. I hate when small or indie brands close. The indie brands always have such unique eyeshadows. 😭😭😭
I was so sad to hear Athr is closing. It's funny, I immediately thought of you & Kackie!
Two co-workers and I visited Lip Lab in the Century City mall last month. We each made 2 custom lipsticks. We had such a good time. They also carry the agave lip masks! I recommend going with a group.
Who remembers Max Factor or Queen Helene makeup?
That's going soooooo the way back!
I forgot about Jordana!
Their eyeliners were the best!
I loved the smell and wear of their liquid lipsticks. I had a shade called tiramisu and it was perfect for me
Jordana eyeliners were iconic to people on a budget.
Ironically I hear alot of good things about Milani's cream blushes, so maybe they did repurpose the formula
I get what you mean about KKW and Kylie, etc. I think it’s because they don’t seem to have any real personal investment in the companies. It’s simply a money-making vehicle for them, not a passion project. So when it folds it is not destroying a dream like so many of these small indie brands.
I loved the Marc Jacob’s bronzer (in the white packaging), their eyeliners and lip liners, and I had their Steeletto palette!
Athr makes me so sad. Not only is their eyeshadow amazing, they tried to be as ethical as possible. The type of company I want to buy from.
I STILL have some of my old coastal scents brushes! They’re so ancient lol.
Yeah, this vid made me pull out my old bh cosmetics palette and do a shimmery green ombre eye look for work today! It would've been awesome except I'm 40 and a tax accountant...so instead of compliments, I only got double-takes and one or two conservatively raised brows. Lol.
i think you're the coolest for that 😊
The Marc jacobs eyeliners were my thing the electric blue color. I would get so many compliments everytime I wore that color.
When all of my Makeup Geek singles expire, I will be devastated
I have palettes for 10 years ago that still work perfect and had no issues with my eyes or skin. I don't worry about powders at all. I'm not throwing out an eyeshadow palette after 6-12 months.
@@hannahkayee831 me too!
I don’t even want to talk about when I run out of Peach Smoothie, which is the most perfect transition shade for me 😪
TIP: I bought a travel size sprayer & filled it with rubbing alcohol….
I'm SO sad about ATHR. It's so hard to find makeup that is certified fair trade 😔
I went to the lip lab for my 25th birthday and it was super fun! They also had a bachelorette group there who seemed to have an awesome time as well. I wear mine all the time and almost a year later it still is holding up and smelling nice
I lusted after the Marc Jacobs cherry packaging! I didn’t buy at that price point back then, and I wanted that whole collection sooooo bad.
Mark Jacobs lipsticks were great! I used to always buy the mini kits at Christmas. And that bronzer I completely panned.
I loved the Marc Jacobs mascara. Oh my gosh, so good. And the eyeliners 😭😭
I caught new drops at Marshalls yesterday
Kvd lock it foundation, pm palettes, naked palettes, so much stila, nars star cheek palettes, Mac facenbody, fix+, kate Summerville, too faced chocolate bronzer, ellis Brooklyn fragrance, dr jart, belief, osea! I got so much.
Ellis Brooklyn! What and how much? 😮
@1015SaturdayNight it was the purse size, a couple of different scents, about $25
The Coastal Scents Winterberry Palette was life. Hot Pots and empty palettes to make your own was 🔥
I loved the hot pots so much that I was trying to ration how many I bought each time they had the $1 sale.
The next time you use stick foundation, spray some setting spray on it before you blend. That will help spread it more smoothly and easily.
The part about makeup not going on sale back then, I remember people used to buy discounted makeup from Haute Look
Holy bananas!! I had an 88 palette. The nostalgia is unreal here. I remember playing with all the colors to make rainbow and crazy looks.
Also depending on where you live in the world sometimes brands disappear in your country even though they're still available somewhere else. I live in Germany and Revlon for example just kinda disappeared. I found online retailers with a Revlon section but it's either empty or only has hair products.
NYC powder and NYC liners. I still have unopened ones somewhere... I bought backups and then forgot. Tiny little time capsules lol.
I would love watching my mom out on makeup in the 90s and playing with all her expensive stuff (Lancôme, stila, mac, este lauder) I would even pretend to show people in the mirror how to put on makeup (this is late 90s way before UA-cam was a thing!)
Then when I went through my lowest point in life around 2014/15 I could makeup on UA-cam.
I so miss the Cargo blushes and their swimmables eyeliners.
Bite Upswing was my favourite mascara!
Love the video! So good! I think this look would look amazing with fake freckles since you went for just a juicy lip!
I have the marc jacobs bronzer with the coconut scent I purchased from tj maxx and it smells so good and looks beautiful
Pouring one out for the Marc Jacobs coconut primer and their lip gloss sticks
Yo, back in 2019 the Coastal Scents Hot Pots were the only way I could afford to put together the Star Wars-inspired custom palettes of my dreams, before Colourpop came in clutch with their own stuff lol. I still have those 3 palettes (one for each of the Original Trilogy films), I never used them to this day, it was just a fun vanity project.
The omega tantastic bronzer is next level. I use mine every day still and will cry when I finish it or it finally expires.
SAME!!
I loved marc jacobs fineliners. I’d love some new Singles content and/or duping palettes. Or if you’re feeling generous a new Singles Week ! 😍🥰
I love Marc Jacobs makeup! I love their lip glosses. Every shade looked good on me. I have about four eye palettes. I do have the cherry one. But I love the one that came in the white case. The coconut bronze is huge. I don't know when I will hit pan. I miss it.
Bite beauty made a great foundation
The Marc Jacobs eyeliners were great. And I really loved his brushes, I’m still using mine.
I really like this channel and the makeup looks great on her.
The Marc Jacobs eyeliners are so good.tgey just glude on a d stay put. I also really enjoy their bronzer.
I caught one of those Marc palettes on super clearance.... i still have never used it. 😂
Same!! 😅
I miss the old makeup days and curated collections so much 🥹
Revlon Streetwear had so many awesome nail colors back in the day! I remember that sub-brand very fondly
I loved the Marc Jacobs cooling eyeshadow sticks. I miss those.
nyc loose powder was my holy grail when i found out it was being withdrawn from the uk i literally bulk bought 20 and worked my way gradually through the lot..day i finished the last was a sad sad day and ive still not found anything as good and it was only £2.99......
I think the makeup community seems so much smaller because the algorithm hides so much! It’s harder to find new creators
I hear you, I would showcase more but $$$ 😂, shelbie Wilson has also showcased some non mainstream products as well. ❤
