One of the best chorale groups in the US today. AND they have the most wonderful program selections! In spite of covid 19, they have brought amazing music to the audiences in Tucson & elsewhere. I feel so privileged to hear/see them.
My parents tuned in to radio renditions of Messiah every year until I was six. That year, we moved to Ames, Iowa. I don't remember them ever failing to take my siblings and me to hear the Iowa State College present Messiah each year for the next nine years - until we moved to Colorado in 1959. The first time I was invited to play my violin in an orchestra to accompany a chorus singing Messiah was in 1960. I only had opportunity to do so a couple of times after that - and those orchestras were not as accomplished as this one is. It may be that the only thing more thrilling than hearing this music is playing it. Presumably, the same would be true for the singers.
This is the best version of this piece I've ever seen or heard. Absolutely wonderful. I also love watching the ladies playing their violins and violas. So graceful to watch. The guys were brilliant too. Thanks for sharing on UA-cam. 🙏
