How do we watch it?!?!?!?
ALTEORI!!!!!! HOW DO WE WATCH IT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
ALTEORI!!!!!! HOW DO WE WATCH IT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
the way they portray Spear as genuinely disturbed and upset when horror is like a daily occurrence for him makes it really unnerving... like when you scare a caveman thats seen the shit hes seen you know its bad!
I just really like Spear's portrayal in general. It's amazing how they took a caricature of an average caveman and turned into a vastly in depth character who shows every single emotion and conveys all their personality without a single line of dialogue. It's character development perfected.
@@Dalton_Boardman2000 I assumed we could all talk with are eyes an face muscles.
Spear: i fear no man... but that THING... it scares me.
Seeing stuff like that in the old times is probably were all the mitology and legends come from
Cavemen were people too.
The fact that the infected Camarasaurus is crying the whole time makes it more petrifying. It’s like the none infected part is watching it kill everything in sight.
Indoraptor 9745 yeah, it reminds me of the flayed people in stranger things. Flayed billy shed tears too, showing that his good side was still conscious.
Either that or the virus is making the tears running as the runny nose.
Considering the snot running down it's nostrils, I'm pretty sure it's not crying it's eyes are probably just constantly running from irritation.
Crying because it is a victim and it didn’t ask for any if this
I think it’s crying because all it feels is pain, it’s skin is decaying and the skin that didn’t fall of us pulsating and bubbling, and it probably wants to kill everything because it is so mad, and that’s the only way it can deal with it’s anger.
"How did he move faster then fang"
Listen, I'd be running faster then that if I saw THAT behind me.
godmode337 yup
Adrenaline Is the natural steroid
I would be faster than the flash if that were me.
And if I couldn't run faster, I would trip you.
Oh hell yeah I’d be fuckin GUNNING IT
I like that Fang was like “No, what if he’s sleeping?” when Spear wanted to leave. There may not be any dialogue but you can infer what they’re saying. The looks on Spear’s and Fang’s faces when they realized the zombie sauropod is alive was priceless and hard not to laugh at.
Exactly!!!! LOL
Hmmmhmm
pov: you play gameboy at 3am but mum is right outside the door
“Uh oh…”
It’s called instinct.
Fang: *Bellows several times*
Spear: *incoherent grunting*
Only Genndy could position complete nonsense in a way that you can still understand it entirely
When he kept drinking I was almost 100% sure they would pan out and show the water falling back into the lake through a hole at the base of his neck.
Same
I thought that it would pan to its stomach area, where there would be a giant whole where its entire gastrointestinal system should be. I honestly expected to see its intestines and stomach just fall or drip out onto the ground or something gruesome like that.
Cpt. Noms that’s why I love this show so much, you end up expecting these horrible things to happen and yea it basically happened, sauropod straight puked his internal organs back into the lake
...I admit I just shrugged it off as a creature, healthy or not, that massive requiring a lot of water and so drinking significant quantities.
I thought they all would get infected from the water
Symptoms of madness plague: fever, excess mucus, streaming eyes, boils/lesions, advanced necrosis, internal bleeding, profuse vomiting, extreme thirst, delusions, hysteria, discoloring of skin, eyes filling with blood
That’s terrifying
Allatos. They wanted it to be scary and it sure worked
I want a live action lol
Don't forget, insatiable need to kill everything with a heartbeat.

It crazy how this episode actually gave me a sense of dread like my life was endanger jeez... I was genuinely afraid and and this gave me another reason to hate zombies.
If eight years ago me saw this episode I would lose my marbles, I was absolutely terrified of zombies back then.
I like, that they choose a Sauropod as an antagonist in this episode. I think it's hit right in the mark, because, sauropods most of the time a gentle giants and when you have this monstrous and sick dinosaur (which, I think it's not a camarasaurus, but argentinosaurus, because, look at the size of that thing) zombie, it's way impactful than if you have a zombie predator, like zombie raptors or zombie rex. Also, sauropods in their normal state are basically unstoppable, so zombie sauropod are even more terrifying.
About damn time prehistoric herbivores are portrayed as dangerous.
they are dangerous
@@donkeykong6426 they are, but they're always shown as being either pushovers or just peaceful in media lately.
Yes! They nailed it! A herbivore gone carnivorous was SHOCKING!

"how can spear run so fast and?"
Adrenaline + fear (unlike normal horror movies) makes you fly also they probably heard Gandalf say "run you fools"
Me right before vomit:oh hes just really sick thats fi-OH MY GOD!
I literally jumped.
My favorite aspect of this show is its focus on "Show dont tell."
1- It elicits emotions and imagination more than many other shows because of this
2- it allows the viewers to focus all attention on Genndy's *_glorious animation_*
3- and more. Point is, it seems like "show dont tell" is becoming a forgotten art these days, but I'm glad that shows like Primal still use it to its fullest potential.
It makes sense aswell given the context that verbal language has yet to be invented
It awakens our inner caveman or cavewoman.
2 things I really liked about this episode:
1. The way the zombie sauropod starts popping up through the ground and swimming through the lava like a hellish leviathan was both absolutely horrifying and incredibly badass.
2. They managed to combine a zombie virus plot line with dinosaurs and somehow made it feel totally reasonable and fitting.
I literally felt like i was the one getting chased in this episode
I felt that way too dude 😨
I know right
I just realized that this episode had basically the same plot as Stephen King’s Cujo...except with a giant zombie dinosaur instead of a rabid St. Bernard.
My first thought is, "Alright, releasing a sickness episode in the middle of a Pandemic is pretty funny."
My second thought is, damn. This episode actually made me afraid of Zombies. Just the thought of me and my loved ones just having our flesh rotting alive and being turned into mindless abominations that are in constant agony is terrifying. The fact that this is one of the few times in the show so far that we've actually seen Spear and Fang afraid and running for their lives and only actually beating the Dinosaur on accident adds to that fear.
Also, I kind of thought about Crocomire from Super Metroid at it's death.
61
That's why the concept of a zombie infection always scared me.
This episode gave me anxiety and genuine fear that's powerful storytelling and I'm a grown ass man lol.
Crocomire’s roars are used quite often in this episode!
The melting flesh also reminded me of Crocomire.
@@samuelrodriguez9801 yeah Me too. I used to watch my dad playing zombie games and I was fine and enjoyed it. I got the game for my birthday awhile ago and I played it on my Xbox and I started getting really bad nightmares about having to kill and fight my family because....zombies. I ended up not playing it again for years. That was around middle school though and I graduate highschool this year.
Dead island is a pretty great zombie game to play.
If your not one to get nightmares often or are not scared I'd rate it a pretty good zombie game. Can make and repair weapons . The blood is pretty accurate. You can cut limbs off and that's pretty nice.
To answer the question to how come this episode doesn't pick up where "Rage of the Ape-men" left off is because this was a much later episode released in advance because its theme kinda fits with the current pandemic crisis.
That's kinda mean. So Genndy.

Tyranitar Series still, it makes this all the more scary
I mean I sure it takes more than a month to make an episode, it's just a coincidence
Yep
I will say, even I was unnerved by this episode, and I don't get unnerved that easily. Spear slaughtering the ape-men was gruesome, but the action of the battle was what made it thrilling to watch. Watching Spear and Fang run away from a sauropod with a prehistoric zombie plague, and just the way they showed the chase. It was almost like watching a horror game walkthrough.
Genndy, you mad genius, you.
Agreed 💯
Going off how well he can do horror when he wants to(the vampire war cinematic from priest is good example) I wouldn't mind a horror show from him. Kinda like the Dead Space cartoon.
I'm the exact same way
The Ape-men getting brutalized was cathartic.
This episode was just grotesque and horrifying. There was no triumph. It was Spear and Fang trying to survive the horrific situation at hand.
It unnerved me as well. A usually peaceful and beautiful herbivore like this becoming a horrific abomination with only the intention of vicious destruction of all life is a primal error in the back of our minds. It shouldn’t exist. It’s like a form of Cosmic Horror in that sense.
The worst part is that this isn't something you can shake off, you can heal broken bones but you cannot heal hell.
You can actually see the same pond when it shows the Sauropod become green, meaning the infection happened ALMOST Instantly
Plague of madness, sounds like something HP Lovecraft would've written, a horrible disease that turns a gentle soul in a mindless killing machine fueled by it's own pain an suffering

@@yhave24hours13 I would guess it's falling apart due to both necrosis and the fact the body is cannabalising itself for energy cause it's not eating. The organs are there, just extremely atrophied from being partially broken down. That thing is so active because it probably is constantly pumping out andrenaline and dopamine to keep from feeling pain so it can ignore the agony it must be in. And probably because it's not being careful it's causing more and more damage to what's left of the muscles on it as it forces them to strain and tear.
But didn't the camarasaurus like... Barf out lots of blood (which may have also carried it's organs with it)?
@@Kimdokjamygoat Unlikely. We say "puking our guts out" but that... isn't actually possible. Most likely cause for all the blood in the vomit is hemorrhagic fever. I was expecting the infected sauropod was gonna vomit blood and guts everywhere that way it would be to graphic
never did I know I needed zombie dinosaurs in my life.
Didnt Dino Crisis 3 do that?
....except shitty and in space!
My best guess is that maybe Spear was tending to Fang and making sure she recovered from her injuries from episode 5. (Called it!)
Alteori, I believe that the sauropod had been affected almost immediately - the disease spread began its devastating transition within the short time span of the moment it was bitten to the moment it got to the water, which was literally perhaps one or two minutes. Then once the sauropod actually got to the water, the disease was just ravaging through the body at breakneck speed, turning the whole body into a walking, rotting corpse. Its horrifying really, how quickly the "zombie rabies" spread throughout the body and changed the whole appearance of the animal.
When the show normally does time transitions, mostly, you see either the sky change color, or the position of the sun change, or even the surroundings speed up at some point to show some idea of time passing - you don't see any of that at all. Everything is normal speed, and the sky color hadn't changed at all. This all happened in a span of 60 - 100 seconds. Now if that happens to a huge dinosaur like this sauropod at that speed, then how quickly did it take to spread to a small dinosaur like that Para? And did the disease spread to the rest of its herd? Or did it just massacre the entire herd like this poor dino did?
What's even more jarring is that as the episode progresses, you see the Sauropod's body worsen. It becomes more emaciated, flesh necrotises in more places leaving gaping wounds.... It's horrifying.

Also the virus reminds me of the frenzy virus made By gore magala.
The virus infects the monster then the infected collapses. Then it wakes up again but with primal rage attacking everything in sight somehow recieving strenght wich is not even suposed to be possible for the creature. The creature attacks everything it sees no matter the size for 3 days untill it finaly dies. The infection is inflicted either By gore magala himself or from the bites of infected And gore magala just follow the corpses and eats them one By one.

Me as I am now rocking slowly in a squat position in a corner crying “there was good reason they didn’t, very good reason”. Gods above this shit was such mixture of heart wrenching to bowel twisting to pants shitting terrified
I hadn’t known about this series but yup imma find out now
I see the episode and ......... That was scarie as hell
How old are you?
Where can you watch this?
I’ve never heard of this show, never seen it before until the April fools day, I love the color pallet and the lighting of this show, these animators really are talented
"How is he out running Fang?" If a fucking zombie dinosaur was after me I'd be running faster than the Flash!!
I Highly appreciate how the the episode in the end didn't treat it fully like a blood thirsty monster that deserved death and have the characters celebrate in it. As they watched the Sauropod burn, they have a look of Pure Empathy.
Despite it all, he looks beyond his own fear and the bloodshed to see a unfortunate sick being, knowing that none of this wasn't their fault but knows this was for the best. Making the "Zombie" Sauropod's death more saddening than relieving.
As for the transformation timing, they don't have that much time within episodes so I think while they wanted to drag out the horror of the transformation they just simply couldn't with the time limit.
Can’t find the episode anywhere. Well that’s just great. Work a double shift during a pandemic and missed one of my favorite shows because Adult swim wants to be cute and not make it available to anyone who missed it.
Unless I’m missing something?
I watched on Kimcartoon. I don't know why it wasn't on there not xfinity. But that and 2 other sites are the only places we could find it.
Alteori
Thank you. I found it.
That was pretty intense
Alteori Hey Alt. Seems the April fools joke was Adult swim airing an episode out of chronological order, which means Fang IS alive! 😊
The guy who did the music, I assume its still Tyler Bates, he knows how to do tension and build up, best known for *_300_*
This episode was utterly brutal but a feast for the eyes nonetheless
"It's Little Foot and his Grandparents! Look!"
Oh lord, I had only gotten around to watching this series recently. I had the same thought at the start of the episode and then that horribly ominous feeling washed over me as the episode continued. It was my favorite episode just for the drama and the suspense and the tragedy of it all. Not because I like tragedy or anything but because it was the kind of tragedy that left you with so many more questions than answers. The kind of tragedy that really makes you think.
So Genndy predicted the future with this episode. His animations take many months if not years to make and he releases it during this virus shit? That’s literally scary as hell.
Also FANG IS ALIVE! yay.
Oh dinosaurs HAVE zombies exist now?
“This is a review NOT adult swim”
Me:good job 👍
Also one LAST thing
The zombie makes shin Godzilla look “normal”
And with that it makes COVID-19 look less gross
Shin Godzilla, Godzilla ultima and Zombie Camara: The Unholy trio.
"If you have anxiety, don't watch this."
that sign can't stop me because I can't read!
10:22 when your eating at 3 am and drop something hoping your parents don’t hear it
