  • It is January 19th 2023. I was a huge fan of my squirrels at my old place. I am so very excited that the squirrels are warming up to me after 2 winters here now. It takes time to get them use to you but I have Sasha my 5 lb yorkie that would eat a squirrel in a second if she could catch one. Molly on the other hand could care less. The squirrels will frolic and play in the yard with Molly walking around with out fear. This is one reason I have a bell on Sasha. Its a gage of where she is at all times and warns my furry friends. Enjoy. Blessing to you all.

My name is Michelle and me and my 2 Yorkies Molly and Sasha live in the western suburbs of Chicago. I am in zone 5B and I have 4 gardens in my portfolio. 1 Garden is at my Church, Ginger Creek Community Church. 1 Garden is at my residence. I call this Wilson Garden. 1 Garden is our community garden that I founded called Batavia Community Garden. And 1 Garden is in Geneva that I call Geneva and will make her debut in spring of 2022. I have grown a huge passion over the last 3 years to “GROW FOOD AND FEED PEOPLE!” The only way I knew how to do that was to create 4 gardens in my community. In these 4 gardens we can grow food, feed people, educate, enlighten, and make more people aware of the new wave of growing your own food. I feel blessed everyday to do what I love and never work a day in my life. I do my best to shoot a garden tour of all the gardens every month between May - October. In the off garden season, I do all I can to still share educational/informational videos on seed saving, indoor gardening, worm farming, fall clean up, fall garden prep, cooking videos or remodeling videos. Then in March, its back at it with seed starting. If there is anything you would like for me to give you content on, I am always open to suggestions in the comment box below. If you find my videos entertaining or educational at all, or I piqued your interest, please consider subscribing to my channel. Hit the “LIKE” thumbs up and the notification bell. That is the easiest way to support me and my channel. (and that is free) Take a trial run with me on my channel. I know you will not be disappointed. This is my GoFundMe video 2022. I am asking all my friends that understand my obsession with "growing food, & feeding people" to help me make a huge impact in my 4 gardens this 2022 season. There are things we can buy that will make the gardens even that much better. However, me being a "One Man Show" when it comes to financial support of my household, can’t always splurge. So, I thought since this was the first Birthday I can actually celebrate, (no quarantine, facemasks and restaurants are actually finally open) I thought I would do so and invite all of you to the DONATION PARTY. Please Please Please Like and share my video. Please consider subscribing so you can see what your donations will be doing to help so many families. Any and all help is so greatly appreciated.

That was sooo cute! My grandmother lived in the city and used to feed a squirrel whole shelled walnuts from her porch. Good to see you again!

Oh my gosh, I was cracking up with you!! That was really cute to see that squirrel take the peanut and then see your glee from it!

I thank you so very much. When I edited the video and watched it again I was cracking up again. I was cracking up because people are going to think I'm completely crazy. But it does bring my heart such happiness I can't explain it. I'm going to have to check my UA-cam channel and my video archives because I have so many squirrel videos. They used to crawl up my leg on my patio when I was working from my table on the back deck, walk across my keyboard grab a peanut come back on my keyboard and sit down and eat it while I was trying to work and my dog would just sit there and look at me like where's my peanut? The squirrels didn't mind the dog and the dog didn't mind the squirrels.. when I left that house with all those squirrels and moved I literally broke down for about a week because I was leaving them and they grew so fond of me. They knew my voice. I was very sad. I've even shot a video for UA-cam. I don't remember which one it is but one of the squirrels is screaming at me from a telephone pole and I interrupted my video to pull a peanut out of my pocket and feed him and then he shut up and then I continued with my video in the garden. Lol. Thank you for viewing my channel I really do appreciate your support. And I hope you find me entertaining...lol. I love doing what I do.. I'm just missing the garden really bad right now. Where are you watching from?

@@GardenJargon just down the road from Ginger Creek. (This is Tanya) 😁
People won't think you're crazy. They'll think you're adorable like I do. That is just so cute feeding the squirrels by hand. I don't blame you a bit. I would love to do it too.

I used to feed the squirrels but the year my first grandson was born we had their dog for about six months. He was a preemie and when they came home from the hospital there was no way she could walk the dog with the baby. It was fine with us the only problem was my dog ignored the squirrels but she chased and barked at them. By the time she went home there were no squirrels in the yard. I now have a couple that I see in the morning but nothing like it used to be.

Oh man. That's sad. They will come back with time. They will remember you and start to trust again.
