If you had posted it before... i would say it definitely be the peak. But NOW. It's second best. Maybe first in terms of positivity... But yeah. I honestly would be fine if you continued the Dream SMP binge. Since the recent events have given the server a new grace. Maybe a suggestion to watch "The Fall" by SAD-ist, if you're up for it.
It'd be good since you're coming up to the more recent arcs. You might want to look at multiple POVs of the bigger events soon. Love your work (and that Bob Ross video)

A note about the Holy Lands: The Holy Lands is an area of the server where Church Prime is located, the server religion. Killing someone while they are inside Holy Lands ground means that you’ve broken a major rule and you get /kill’d and the person you killed gets your items.

@@YoBGS The canon death system was implemented afterwards so usually only the most important deaths were counted. They also dont want to create too much canon deaths, it makes them more significant if there is less of them.
@@YoBGS It _is_ determined by the writers which ones are canonically significant! I wouldn’t see canon deaths as deaths that happened in canon, but as deaths which are _intrinsic_ to the canon.
I highly recommend checking out Wilbur's and Tommy's pov at the festival you don't have to do a reaction to them just check them out since it has extra bits of info. For example, Wilbur's pov shows that he actually reconsidered not telling Tubbo that he was gonna blow Manburg and actually told him. They even had a phrase that Tubbo would say in the speech that would act as a signal, the phrase was "Let the festival begin". Also, Tommy didn't lose a life in the pit he already lost 2 lives beforehand. Remember when Eret betrayed L' Manburg during the war against Dream, everyone on the L' Manburg's side died including Tommy, Wilbur, Fundy, and Tubbo, all of them lost a life. Then Tommy died against Dream which made him lose his 2nd life, Tommy has been 1 life since then. Also, Tubbo, Schlatt, and Quackity lost a life when Techno killed them, meaning Tubbo is on 1 life as well since he already lost a life during Eret's betrayal. Wilbur is on 1 life as well since he was also killed during Eret's betrayal and killed while running away after the election. Schlatt and Quackity are 2 lives and so is Snapnap when Dream killed him during the Battle of the Lake.
Let's just say that some unfinished business was dealt with... one person's legacy was followed and completed, and on a much greater scale than the original event

The 'Holy Land' is from Tommy's video: 'The Funniest Minecraft Video Ever'. I'd recommend you watch it, either to react or on your own time. Basically, Dream starts out by instructing Tommy on how to ask for subscribers. He talks about Twitch Prime and he and Tommy advertise it together for a good half hour or so. Tubbo brings up that if someone enjoys their content they'll prime sub on their own and they shouldn't have to push for subs, but Dream combats this by saying "but Tubbo, they don't even know they can do this. Most people didn't even know it existed. And when they're told, they're enlightened. That's why- we're- Jesus." The rest of the video is spent with Dream, Tommy, Tubbo and Quackity just losing it over comparisons between Twitch Prime and the bible. (Some of my personal favorites: amen = pogchamp: "lord bless the food we eat today, pogchamp." "'Forgive me father, I have sinned.' 'L.'" "Let there be primes." Sins = ComeOnBruh emote. Going to hell = NotLikeThis emote. Funerals = D:) They came up with Church Prime, and called the area around it either the Subs or the Holy Land. No one is allowed to kill anyone else while in the Holy Land. This was way too long an explanation, but that answers that question.
Honestly, watching Tommy's pov of the festival helps a lot! Tommy wasn't just angry out of nowhere, all he wanted was for Tubbo to make it out alive yet his friend killed him
Fun act: the rocket launcher bit wasn't scrited, apparently Techno just got it in his head on the day that he'd use the rockets but he didn't realise how powerful the multishot crossbow loaded with rockets would be and accidentally killed Schlatt and Quackity too. And then he just went "oh to hell with it," and killed the entire audience. That wasn't supposed to happen, that's why they didn't take over in that moment. Although I guess the in-universe reason is that Tommy was too busy being furious at Techno to lead the revolution and Wilbur was looking for the button to blow up the tnt and couldn't find it. You'll see that better if you watch Wilbur's video. It also explains why Niki joined them.
The streams I mostly watch are techno's, I've been a fan since like before Minecraft Monday, and honestly I like reading Techno's chat, it's either "Blood for the Blood God" "L" "E" and "ONE OF US"

There goes one of Tubbo's canon lives. It's hard to keep track, but at this point in the story I *think* he only has one left. Since i'm pretty sure he lost the first one in Eret's betrayal.

19:19 The holy land is basically the Church of Twitch Prime. Inside it's walls, PVP is completely unallowed by penalty of a ban I believe. Even Dream and Techno follow the rules of the Holy Land.
Niki's perspective on the hostage situation in the first video is kind of interesting because she actually negotiated with Ant to let her escape and Ant agreed if she helped him build his zoo. When Ant is saying that he's killing her he was actually telling her to run. And then he pretended to have lost her and later caught up to her and showed her the way to Pogtopia. They've basically been friendly ever since despite being technically enemies since they're on opposing sides. I think it's a cool little sideplot that most people missed.
Another thing that I think you missed was Nihachu's part in the festival, she actually had an important plot where she stood up to Schlatt infront of everyone despite already being imprisoned by him and on her last warning. Schlatt then revealed he had been planning tp execute her as well as Tubbo and was going to kill her but she escaped to Pogtopia. Then, she realized Wilbur had gone insane and created a sub-faction with Tommy and Tubbo where they agreed to find a way to save L'Manberg without blowing it up.
You can watch “The Fall” by sadist now. I would also suggest watching her new animation after seeing Technoblade’s “The fall of l’manburg”. Edit: I believe you also have not yet seen sadist’s first dream smp animatic “Dream smp war” which I also suggest watching
The fight in the pit wasn't a canon death even though it kinda feels like it should be. I think the way to take this was that essentially, Tommy was knocked out rather than 'killed' there. Because Tommy has already lost 2 canon lives by this point,, so obviously he can't lose his third at this point. The first was the Final Control Room (Eret's betrayal) and the second was the duel with Dream. So yeah, Tommy and Tubbo are both now cruising on one life left because Techno killed Tubbo in the festival and Tubbo's first life was taken in the Final Control Room. Also, if you feel like it, "The Fall" by SAD-ist won't have any spoilers now! You've caught up to that point, so you can watch it if u want :D It's very cool and I highly recommend it!

I'd recommend watching it, even if you don't do a reaction, just because it's genuinely really entertaining. To make a long story short, though: Tommy, Dream, Tubbo and Quackity set up a church dedicated to Twitch Prime, and the area around the church is known as the Holy Lands. No fighting is allowed within the Holy Lands. 23:42 And here we have a rare side character canon death! This was Sapnap's first, bringing him down to two lives. 36:30 That would be Party Island. Karl Jacobs built it so he could go there with Pokimane if she ever joined the server. The statue you questioned at 46:20 is there for the same reason. 1:08:46 And there goes three canon lives at once! A complete accident, fun fact, that was incorporated into the script later on, and is the main reason Techno currently has the highest body count on the SMP. That was only Quackity and Schlatt's first life, but it was Tubbo's second, meaning he's now at one, just like Wilbur and Tommy. 1:14:00 Okay, so- the majority of the deaths at the festival aren't confirmed to be canon. They were mostly side characters anyway, so I doubt we'll ever know for sure, to be honest. The only confirmed deaths from the festival were Tubbo, Schlatt and Quackity. As for Tommy, you're a little off on his lives; he lost one in the Final Control Room, and the duel with Dream was his second. The death in the pit isn't canon (most people like to think of the pit as more of a spar than a real fight). Now, as much as I love Techno, I would personally recommend using Tommy or Wilbur's videos for SMP reactions. Techno doesn't tend to show anyone else's perspective in his videos, which means some key details can get skipped over. For example, there was a moment in the festival when Wilbur was, in fact, looking for the button. He even had Tommy telling him to press it and blow everything up (he changed his mind again after, he was just really angry about Tubbo dying). However, the button was missing, so Wilbur had to retreat. Niki also escaped from Manberg and joined Pogtopia, which was almost completely skipped over in Techno's video. Plus, you missed out on some good Tubbo moments from the beginning of the festival. In particular, for an event called The Grand Finale, I would _definitely_ recommend Tommy's video. Techno's video only shows half of the story, and while Wilbur's video does have other perspectives, it also cuts off before the actual end of the story. As far as I'm aware, Tommy's video ("I fought Technoblade & Dream") is the only one that includes everything. As a fun side note, if you're planning to react to any more of SAD-ist's animatics, "The Fall" is now free reign - it only covers the events up to the festival, so there's no spoilers for you there anymore.
Fully agree, Techno has a particular audience and a particular style of doing things, so definitely watch the other perspectives too just to catch up on all the intertwined plot threads and interactions.
Wilbur couldn't find the room that Dream set up with the button to detonate the tnt, he later realized that he was 5 blocks off. Tubbo had a codeword for Wilbur to blow it up "Now let the festival begin" was the phrase, but Wilbur couldn't find the button
btw The Battle of The Lake deaths were canon (except nikis). Meaning Sapnap, BadBoyHalo, Skeppy and Antfrost have 2 canon lives remaining. edit: the pit fight death wasnt canon, but tubbo's execution was (aswell as Quackity and Schlatt because they were caught in the crossfire) meaning Quackity and Schlatt have two canon lives and Tubbo has one. Tubbo's day is coming very, very soon. Though, you may have been overhyped for it? Perhaps Tubbo's day isn't as glorious as it's made out to be. But all we can do is press forward, in the hope that it will be better.
If only one side is streaming (such as Wilbur, Tommy and Tubbo are streaming) but Quackity isn’t, then they’ll sometimes end up being in the same call even if they are in roleplay. They’ll just chat like friends but add a few comments in as their character.
Your question at the end about whether Wilbur was meant to blow up Manburg is why I think you should have watched Wilbur's POV. But basically Tubbo was questioning Wilbur's decision to blow up Manburg, which prompted Wilbur to call Tubbo a "yes-man" that just goes along with whatever Tommy says, he never thinks for himself. Because of this, Wilbur chose to leave the decision to Tubbo whether he blows up Manburg. If Tubbo said a specific line in his speech, that would be Wlbur's cue to blow it up. He didn't say it, which is why JSchlatt went "Anything else in the speech? That's it?" Because Tubbo didn't say it Wilbur held off. But then Techno killed Tubbo, which made Wilbur disregard that and go for the button anyways. He couldn't find it. It wasn't actually a button on the side of the cliff but he built a room inside the mini cliff where the button was with all the TNT, so he would have to dig into it. The next stream, Wilbur realized he was two blocks away from finding the button.
The fish has been used before so it's not that specific. There was something called the pet war recently before the Tommy video where sapnap killed Fundy and Niki's Fox fungi. The two fish, beckerson and mars were threatened in that. The fish are really important like the discs almost for sap, George and dream. They are like the first pets on the server other than dreams horse spirit that died. The fish use to be in the water section of the community house. The horse spirit and the two fish stay important to the story like they were mentioned in the most recent arc
You mention the fact that quackity is appearing more in Tommy's videos as a reason to think that quackity is now a part of pogtopia and being allied with tommyinnit but you need to remember that a lot of the Dream SMP is roleplay. So videos outside of the Dream SMP have no canon meaning in the actual story. So the fact that tommy is playing with wilbur, Phil and quackity for a fun video doesn't really reveal anything about their relationship in terms of allies/enemies in the server. They are all really wonderful actors, Wilbur is the main writer for the Pogtopia and L'manberg arc but everyone contributes a lot to the arcs following it. This is also why they don't just jump people when they are afk to get them "out of power" because those deaths wouldn't really contribute to the story. About the Red Festival. The podium that the speeches and where techno and tubbo were was completely filled with tnt. Due to the storyline Schlatt and quackity wouldn't "see" tommy and wilbur on the roof. Also as I said before this is more of an rp server than just regular server stuff so all that stuff about "that's the perfect time to kill him" wouldn't really affect the story that much cuz the death wouldn't be counted towards their canon deaths.
With the tunnel thing there wasn't dissent Tommy just didn't realise what was going on and why were they hiding and they didn't explain it to Tommy in a way he would listen and not try to be funny about it XD
Wilbur losing his mind like this isn't out of nowhere, canonically Fundy's mother is a salmon which has some very telling implications about Will's sanity
I like watching reactions. Gives me an excuse to watch the original video for the 4th time. Also, tommy has 2 canon deaths. 1 from the final control room, and one in his duel versus dream. In the canon, fist fight he had with Technoblade he "recovered from". His death was more of a "KO" than a KIA
Wilbur isn't there in the first video because Wilbur barely streams the smp,he only streamed it like an hour and a half every week or less. Wilbur only really streamed lore stuff where Tommy streamed every second day or so just doing bits and projects or whatever.
i’d consider these videos to be more of an analysis than a reaction! i genuinely enjoy hearing your takes on these videos :) edit: the holy land is the land on which the church of prime was built, it has borders marking it’s territory and it’s illegal to kill someone within the borders.
You should watch teh sad-ist animation "The Fall" now, because it is about these events. You'll recognise the quotes in there rfom these streams. Its the storytelling of this whole thing but in a movie trailer kind of way. Its amazingg
Wilbur couldn't find the button room so he couldn't blow up Manburg. I would honestly recommend sticking to Tommy and Wilbur's videos of the major events. Techno's pov tends to miss out on the more intricate plot points.
Don't know if this already cleared for you but during the festival: Only Schlatt knew that the festival was actually planned to be Tubbo's public execution so it came as a surprise to Pogtopia which threw Wilbur into a panic. He ran off to detonate the TNT but couldn't find the button, subsequently failing in their mission. Also, Pogtopia was driven out because several audience members had Netherite armor on or ran away earlier so they didn't succumb to Techno's rocket launcher and then, on Schlatt's command, chased Tommy out. Techno left on his own accord and Wilbur got lost looking for the button. I'm unsure if their videos will mention this because I watch the streams, but they do a lot of off-camera grinding so don't worry too much about the small amount of TNT Wilbur received
The holy land is an area in the SMP where they are not allowed to kill each other, there is a church where they worship twitch prime. I reccomend watching ”the funniest minecraft video ever”, it is not very important for the plot but it shows when they build the holy land and it is actually very funny.
1:13:51 isnt a canon death btw. canonically, they just dueled until tommy couldn't fight anymore. and I dont think anybody's death in the festival except jschlatt's :>
if you ever have time, i think you should watch wilbur's pov of the festival on your own- it's called "the festival disaster". techno's pov is great but it leaves out about half the story (and some good tubbo moments) ^^
So glad you got to this part! You are definitely not like other reaction channels. I love how deeply you analyze everything and your predictions are very insightful too. I’m curious to see what your view on Techno, Dream, and Wilbur’s characters are going forward. While a lot of the people on the smp play very interesting characters I think these are three of the most complex and at times mysterious of the characters. By the way you can watch “The Fall,” by sad-ist now without spoilers. “Revolution” by skywerse and “Centuries” by Squiddo are also really good and won’t spoil if you want to do more then one. If you want a recommendation for what to watch next I would recommend Wilbur’s POV of the festival. I would recommend watching, the POV of both Technoblade (The Fall of Manburg) and Wilbur (Dream SMP Finale) for the season finale videos. Tommy’s is also good but it would be repetitive for some of the things in the other two videos. There are things that happen in between the festival and the finale but they aren’t captured in the recap videos. I don’t want to spoil but reply if you want us to fill you in. You really should've watched Wilbur/Tommy's POV of the festival. There is wayyyy more context, lore and most importantly Tubbo scenes! Also, they didn't succeed at all. Wilbur was supposed to detonate Manburg but he failed to do so, and Tommy got caught up in avenging Tubbo. Love your reactions :)
Clarification Time! Multiple Side Wars are happening at the same time as the rebellion. Two notable ones are the Pet War and the Disc War. Pet War being Sapnap vs bascially anyone with a pet, and the disc war being Tommy and Tubbo vs Dream. Tommy's video showcases a part of the pet war. The Factions! At the time of the videos you're watching, I believe the factions are Pogtopia, The Dream SMP, Manburg, and the Badlands. Pogtopia is lead by Wilbur, The Dream SMP is lead by Eret, with Dream as the puppet master that controls Eret. So Eret would be King while Dream is the Emperor. Dream rarely takes on the role of Emperor however, and prefers to be a loose cannon. Manburg is lead by Schlatt of course, and the Badlands are lead by BadBoyHalo. I think there is also Manifold land, lead by Jack Manifold. However Manifold land only has Jack, and most people don't acknowledge his faction at this point in time. The Holy Land is the one place on the server where killing isn't allowed, it's the safe zone. As long as a player is inside it's borders, they cannot be killed. That should hopefully clear some things up.
IMPORTANT! (No spoilers) One consistent problem with these dream SMP videos is that they never explain what happens in between them, so many major things happen that you never find on any of their channels. For example, Fundy and Sapnap had an ENTIRE war in between the L'manburg revolution and election. I'm sure they both made videos on it but they are always overlooked because they aren't by any of the main guys. Two HUGE things happen in between the festival and the next one and yet they are both skipped and instead the videos jump right to the others without any explanation! The only way you can discover these events is either watching the ENTIRE vods or looking for some fan account who made a 4-minute explanation or recap video. My suggestion is just to watch Tommy's video called: "I fought Dream and Technoblade (GRAND FINALE)" (make sure it's tommys because he ads Wilbur's POV at the end (for reasons I cannot say) and Techno's doesn't have as much lore as the other two) and I can explain what happened in between them in the comments. to be clear about this. The server had no stealing no griefing, it had occasional fighting but a stop was respected. Day 1 tommy joined he stole, killed and spawn farmed george, broke and changed the donation signs, set fires and got thrown in prison i feel like tommy is the least deserving maybe w/ fundy for anything good... U just have not seen the videos that show how anoyingly bad tommy is sometimes!
The statue of Pokimane was made because Pokimane will join the server in the future, although it already happened And you can react to the SAD-ist animatic The Fall since it features stuff you've seen already
the festival (and some of the upcoming major events) are best watched from multiple perspectives . As different plot points unfold in different streams all of which are required to see the big picture fully. . I will provide a summary of what happened in the other streams below (spoiler warning) Wilbur and tommy gave Tubbo a code phrase to cue them to blow the place up. It was solely on Tubbo's shoulders if the place would blow or not. the phrase was "let the festival begin" which he did speak. Once that was said Wilbur ran to where he hid the button to trigger the TNT but could not find it anywhere (hence the need for a new button). It was stated he found the room he made for the TNT later on, he was looking in the wrong spot. Will and the others did not step in during Tubbo's death as they thought that Techno would never harm tubbo and spent the whole time assuring Tubbo through whispers that Techno was on there side and he was safe. of course that was promptly followed by Techno murdering him. That is when Tommy enderpearled in whacked Technoblade, and then stared in shock at the cage that once held his friend untill everyone came back and started killing him. I originally watched from Technoblade's perspective (Techno is by preferred streamer of the group) and then went back to watch the others.

Even on your own i would def recommend to check out either Wilburs or Tommys side of the festival since it explans why actually things went so wrong, but all in all, Here is a fast summary of the other povs: on Wilburs side he gave tubbo a code phraze that was in the speech and when tubbo said it, he was gonna press the doom button and just detonate the whole place, but he got stalled bc schlatt caught tubbo. The line was "Let the festival Begin!" and as that happned, Wilbur ran fo the button but he lost it in all the chaos and came back to reassure tommy that techno wouldn't hurt tubbo and at first was thoughtfully stunned that tubbo was killed. Coming out on the road before the podium and talking to schlatt (tommy and tubbo were going back to pogtopia along with techno by then) He then got niki away and they both came around to pogtopia as well before the confrontation. On tommys Well he spent the whole night trying to talk wilbur out of blowing thier old home up, and one could say tommys moral compass hinges on tubbo, At this point Tommy n tubbo talked over wilburs decision to blow the place up. Tommy wants to fight back and reclaim it without destrucion. Tommy feels he cant trust wilbur anymore but he doesnt wanna give up on him. then there is the festival. And techno murders tubbo. To tommy that is all that mattered on that festival. Techno listened to Schlatt and, as tommy said killed his right hand man. That is it. In tommys eyes techno betrayed him beacose he hurt tubbo. He ACUALLY pearled to the stage right after the tuboo died and imminently startred attacking techno. Tommys moral compas hinges and depends on tubbo in this moment. He imminently went to get tubbo after the fight and gave him armor and told him to stick close as they came to pogtopia i belive. Tubbo and tommy bicker a lot but when it comes down to it they are always a duo End of summary So I was there for the festival ho boy it was a expirance as from somebody who was waching wilburs pov on this, it was well a disaster. About the Canon lives in this, tommy has one left and that fight with techno was more of a fistfight than a to the death situation, Tubbo lost his second one to technos rocket, schlatt n quackity as well, the crowd didn't really lose theirs. To some lore tidbits from other povs, fundy ran to a bunker just as the rockets went off and avided all the death, he also started to question his stance on things, and went to speak with tubbo right at the end of his stream. As to what to watch Next! Def def check out Wilburs finale video it has the best storytelling and explains everything that happened during the acual war! Wilbur also included multiple pov so you don't miss out on for example techno lines! For what happened right after recommend tommys pov! Next two vids may be just these 2 war videos.
I checked around and there aren't really videos covering what happned during the space of time between the festival and the war so here are spoilers for that if u want them. Ofc it is all in vods but the only video that really covered it was taken down so here is a little summary Quacity gets fed up with schlatt starting at tubbos execution and ending when schlatt tore down the Whitehouse, they had a big argument and quackity shot schlatt with a bow and that took his 2nd Canon life, and defected to pogtopia Fundy reveled that he was a spy on pogtopias side the whole time, he had a whole diary written with schlatts weaknesses and such he gave it to wilbur. Wilbur was gonna blow up the place mulitple times. right after quackity defected tommy n quackity talked him down from it, the first time day after the festival. He was talked down from it multiple times. all it came down to in the end was dream saying he supports schlatt which was really quite a big change of character but he has stated that schlatt gave him something he couldn't refuse, to this day all we know its a book containing some big secret info. That could put even dream in danger if reveled. He also said there was a traitor on pogtopias side they don't know who it is till the revolution day
The difference between Dream & Techno is that, Techno follows a pattern & abides by his rules. While Dream changes his stance based on the circumstances.

The red festival was the first stream that I was there live (every other past event I watched in videos and highlights and VODs), watched Technoblade POV and omg it was AWESOME, I had so much fun. I was so stressed when Tubbo was trapped 😣 I recommend A LOT you watch Wilbur's POV too, to know what he, Tommy and Tubbo talked before the festival and understand what Tommy and Wilbur were doing in that roof.

A note about the Holy Lands: The Holy Lands is an area of the server where Church Prime is located, the server religion. Killing someone while they are inside Holy Lands ground means that you’ve broken a major rule and you get /kill’d and the person you killed gets your items.

@@YoBGS It _is_ determined by the writers which ones are canonically significant! I wouldn’t see canon deaths as deaths that happened in canon, but as deaths which are _intrinsic_ to the canon.
I highly recommend checking out Wilbur's and Tommy's pov at the festival you don't have to do a reaction to them just check them out since it has extra bits of info. For example, Wilbur's pov shows that he actually reconsidered not telling Tubbo that he was gonna blow Manburg and actually told him. They even had a phrase that Tubbo would say in the speech that would act as a signal, the phrase was "Let the festival begin". Also, Tommy didn't lose a life in the pit he already lost 2 lives beforehand. Remember when Eret betrayed L' Manburg during the war against Dream, everyone on the L' Manburg's side died including Tommy, Wilbur, Fundy, and Tubbo, all of them lost a life. Then Tommy died against Dream which made him lose his 2nd life, Tommy has been 1 life since then. Also, Tubbo, Schlatt, and Quackity lost a life when Techno killed them, meaning Tubbo is on 1 life as well since he already lost a life during Eret's betrayal. Wilbur is on 1 life as well since he was also killed during Eret's betrayal and killed while running away after the election. Schlatt and Quackity are 2 lives and so is Snapnap when Dream killed him during the Battle of the Lake.

The only Canon deaths that happened at that Festival was Tubbo, Schlatt, and Quackity. It was when Techno got that Triple Kill during the Festival.
The 'Holy Land' is from Tommy's video: 'The Funniest Minecraft Video Ever'. I'd recommend you watch it, either to react or on your own time. Basically, Dream starts out by instructing Tommy on how to ask for subscribers. He talks about Twitch Prime and he and Tommy advertise it together for a good half hour or so. Tubbo brings up that if someone enjoys their content they'll prime sub on their own and they shouldn't have to push for subs, but Dream combats this by saying "but Tubbo, they don't even know they can do this. Most people didn't even know it existed. And when they're told, they're enlightened. That's why- we're- Jesus." The rest of the video is spent with Dream, Tommy, Tubbo and Quackity just losing it over comparisons between Twitch Prime and the bible. (Some of my personal favorites: amen = pogchamp: "lord bless the food we eat today, pogchamp." "'Forgive me father, I have sinned.' 'L.'" "Let there be primes." Sins = ComeOnBruh emote. Honestly, watching Tommy's pov of the festival helps a lot! Tommy wasn't just angry out of nowhere, all he wanted was for Tubbo to make it out alive yet his friend killed him
Fun act: the rocket launcher bit wasn't scrited, apparently Techno just got it in his head on the day that he'd use the rockets but he didn't realise how powerful the multishot crossbow loaded with rockets would be and accidentally killed Schlatt and Quackity too. And then he just went "oh to hell with it," and killed the entire audience. That wasn't supposed to happen, that's why they didn't take over in that moment. Although I guess the in-universe reason is that Tommy was too busy being furious at Techno to lead the revolution and Wilbur was looking for the button to blow up the tnt and couldn't find it. You'll see that better if you watch Wilbur's video. It also explains why Niki joined them.
The streams I mostly watch are techno's, I've been a fan since like before Minecraft Monday, and honestly I like reading Techno's chat, it's either "Blood for the Blood God" "L" "E" and "ONE OF US"

The holy land is basically the Church of Twitch Prime. Inside it's walls, PVP is completely unallowed by penalty of a ban I believe. Even Dream and Techno follow the rules of the Holy Land.

Holy lands - The subject of Tommyinnit's "The funniest minecraft video ever"
Niki's perspective on the hostage situation in the first video is kind of interesting because she actually negotiated with Ant to let her escape and Ant agreed if she helped him build his zoo. When Ant is saying that he's killing her he was actually telling her to run. And then he pretended to have lost her and later caught up to her and showed her the way to Pogtopia.
They've basically been friendly ever since despite being technically enemies since they're on opposing sides. I think it's a cool little sideplot that most people missed.
Oh you definitely need to watch when Quackity and Schlatt get into a fight.
Another thing that I think you missed was Nihachu's part in the festival, she actually had an important plot where she stood up to Schlatt infront of everyone despite already being imprisoned by him and on her last warning. Schlatt then revealed he had been planning tp execute her as well as Tubbo and was going to kill her but she escaped to Pogtopia. Then, she realized Wilbur had gone insane and created a sub-faction with Tommy and Tubbo where they agreed to find a way to save L'Manberg without blowing it up.
You can watch “The Fall” by sadist now. I would also suggest watching her new animation after seeing Technoblade’s “The fall of l’manburg”.

The fight in the pit wasn't a canon death even though it kinda feels like it should be. I think the way to take this was that essentially, Tommy was knocked out rather than 'killed' there. Because Tommy has already lost 2 canon lives by this point,, so obviously he can't lose his third at this point. The first was the Final Control Room (Eret's betrayal) and the second was the duel with Dream. So yeah, Tommy and Tubbo are both now cruising on one life left because Techno killed Tubbo in the festival and Tubbo's first life was taken in the Final Control Room.
Also, if you feel like it, "The Fall" by SAD-ist won't have any spoilers now! You've caught up to that point, so you can watch it if u want :D It's very cool and I highly recommend it!

A complete accident, fun fact, that was incorporated into the script later on, and is the main reason Techno currently has the highest body count on the SMP. That was only Quackity and Schlatt's first life, but it was Tubbo's second, meaning he's now at one, just like Wilbur and Tommy.
1:14:00 Okay, so- the majority of the deaths at the festival aren't confirmed to be canon. They were mostly side characters anyway, so I doubt we'll ever know for sure, to be honest. The only confirmed deaths from the festival were Tubbo, Schlatt and Quackity. As for Tommy, you're a little off on his lives; he lost one in the Final Control Room, and the duel with Dream was his second. The death in the pit isn't canon (most people like to think of the pit as more of a spar than a real fight).
Now, as much as I love Techno, I would personally recommend using Tommy or Wilbur's videos for SMP reactions. Techno doesn't tend to show anyone else's perspective in his videos, which means some key details can get skipped over. For example, there was a moment in the festival when Wilbur was, in fact, looking for the button. He even had Tommy telling him to press it and blow everything up (he changed his mind again after, he was just really angry about Tubbo dying). However, the button was missing, so Wilbur had to retreat. Niki also escaped from Manberg and joined Pogtopia, which was almost completely skipped over in Techno's video. Plus, you missed out on some good Tubbo moments from the beginning of the festival.
In particular, for an event called The Grand Finale, I would _definitely_ recommend Tommy's video. Techno's video only shows half of the story, and while Wilbur's video does have other perspectives, it also cuts off before the actual end of the story. As far as I'm aware, Tommy's video ("I fought Technoblade & Dream") is the only one that includes everything.
As a fun side note, if you're planning to react to any more of SAD-ist's animatics, "The Fall" is now free reign - it only covers the events up to the festival, so there's no spoilers for you there anymore.
Fully agree, Techno has a particular audience and a particular style of doing things, so definitely watch the other perspectives too just to catch up on all the intertwined plot threads and interactions.

If only one side is streaming (such as Wilbur, Tommy and Tubbo are streaming) but Quackity isn’t, then they’ll sometimes end up being in the same call even if they are in roleplay. They’ll just chat like friends but add a few comments in as their character.

As someone who's fully caught up with the dream smp your predictions excite me for when you react to what happens soon in the storyline
Your question at the end about whether Wilbur was meant to blow up Manburg is why I think you should have watched Wilbur's POV.
But basically Tubbo was questioning Wilbur's decision to blow up Manburg, which prompted Wilbur to call Tubbo a "yes-man" that just goes along with whatever Tommy says, he never thinks for himself. Because of this, Wilbur chose to leave the decision to Tubbo whether he blows up Manburg. If Tubbo said a specific line in his speech, that would be Wlbur's cue to blow it up.
He didn't say it, which is why JSchlatt went "Anything else in the speech? That's it?" Because Tubbo didn't say it Wilbur held off.
But then Techno killed Tubbo, which made Wilbur disregard that and go for the button anyways. He couldn't find it. It wasn't actually a button on the side of the cliff but he built a room inside the mini cliff where the button was with all the TNT, so he would have to dig into it.
The next stream, Wilbur realized he was two blocks away from finding the button.

The fish has been used before so it's not that specific. There was something called the pet war recently before the Tommy video where sapnap killed Fundy and Niki's Fox fungi. The two fish, beckerson and mars were threatened in that. The fish are really important like the discs almost for sap, George and dream. They are like the first pets on the server other than dreams horse spirit that died. The fish use to be in the water section of the community house. The horse spirit and the two fish stay important to the story like they were mentioned in the most recent arc
You mention the fact that quackity is appearing more in Tommy's videos as a reason to think that quackity is now a part of pogtopia and being allied with tommyinnit but you need to remember that a lot of the Dream SMP is roleplay. So videos outside of the Dream SMP have no canon meaning in the actual story. So the fact that tommy is playing with wilbur, Phil and quackity for a fun video doesn't really reveal anything about their relationship in terms of allies/enemies in the server. They are all really wonderful actors, Wilbur is the main writer for the Pogtopia and L'manberg arc but everyone contributes a lot to the arcs following it. This is also why they don't just jump people when they are afk to get them "out of power" because those deaths wouldn't really contribute to the story.
About the Red Festival. The podium that the speeches and where techno and tubbo were was completely filled with tnt. Due to the storyline Schlatt and quackity wouldn't "see" tommy and wilbur on the roof. Also as I said before this is more of an rp server than just regular server stuff so all that stuff about "that's the perfect time to kill him" wouldn't really affect the story that much cuz the death wouldn't be counted towards their canon deaths.
I've only really watched technoblade's perspective in the streams, but I still look at clips and stuff from the other perspectives.
With the tunnel thing there wasn't dissent Tommy just didn't realise what was going on and why were they hiding and they didn't explain it to Tommy in a way he would listen and not try to be funny about it XD
Up to you wether you want to watch it in a video or not but Wilbur's perspective of the festive provides some extra context/ content.
Wilbur losing his mind like this isn't out of nowhere, canonically Fundy's mother is a salmon which has some very telling implications about Will's sanity

Also, tommy has 2 canon deaths. 1 from the final control room, and one in his duel versus dream. In the canon, fist fight he had with Technoblade he "recovered from". His death was more of a "KO" than a KIA

Wilbur isn't there in the first video because Wilbur barely streams the smp,he only streamed it like an hour and a half every week or less. Wilbur only really streamed lore stuff where Tommy streamed every second day or so just doing bits and projects or whatever.

Don't know if this already cleared for you but during the festival: Only Schlatt knew that the festival was actually planned to be Tubbo's public execution so it came as a surprise to Pogtopia which threw Wilbur into a panic. He ran off to detonate the TNT but couldn't find the button, subsequently failing in their mission. Also, Pogtopia was driven out because several audience members had Netherite armor on or ran away earlier so they didn't succumb to Techno's rocket launcher and then, on Schlatt's command, chased Tommy out. Techno left on his own accord and Wilbur got lost looking for the button.
I'm unsure if their videos will mention this because I watch the streams, but they do a lot of off-camera grinding so don't worry too much about the small amount of TNT Wilbur received
The holy land is an area in the SMP where they are not allowed to kill each other, there is a church where they worship twitch prime. I reccomend watching ”the funniest minecraft video ever”, it is not very important for the plot but it shows when they build the holy land and it is actually very funny.
1:13:51 isnt a canon death btw. canonically, they just dueled until tommy couldn't fight anymore. and I dont think anybody's death in the festival except jschlatt's :>
if you ever have time, i think you should watch wilbur's pov of the festival on your own- it's called "the festival disaster". techno's pov is great but it leaves out about half the story (and some good tubbo moments) ^^
So glad you got to this part! You are definitely not like other reaction channels. I love how deeply you analyze everything and your predictions are very insightful too. I’m curious to see what your view on Techno, Dream, and Wilbur’s characters are going forward. While a lot of the people on the smp play very interesting characters I think these are three of the most complex and at times mysterious of the characters. By the way you can watch “The Fall,” by sad-ist now without spoilers. “Revolution” by skywerse and “Centuries” by Squiddo are also really good and won’t spoil if you want to do more then one. If you want a recommendation for what to watch next I would recommend Wilbur’s POV of the festival. I would recommend watching, the POV of both Technoblade (The Fall of Manburg) and Wilbur (Dream SMP Finale) for the season finale videos. Tommy’s is also good but it would be repetitive for some of the things in the other two videos. There are things that happen in between the festival and the finale but they aren’t captured in the recap videos. I don’t want to spoil but reply if you want us to fill you in. Now that you are getting into crazy Wilbur, you should watch the Editor Wilbur Soot ARG on Jacksucksatlife’s channel.

You really should've watched Wilbur/Tommy's POV of the festival. There is wayyyy more context, lore and most importantly Tubbo scenes! Also, they didn't succeed at all. Wilbur was supposed to detonate Manburg but he failed to do so, and Tommy got caught up in avenging Tubbo. Love your reactions :)
Clarification Time!
Multiple Side Wars are happening at the same time as the rebellion. Two notable ones are the Pet War and the Disc War. Pet War being Sapnap vs bascially anyone with a pet, and the disc war being Tommy and Tubbo vs Dream. Tommy's video showcases a part of the pet war.
The Factions! At the time of the videos you're watching, I believe the factions are Pogtopia, The Dream SMP, Manburg, and the Badlands. Pogtopia is lead by Wilbur, The Dream SMP is lead by Eret, with Dream as the puppet master that controls Eret. So Eret would be King while Dream is the Emperor. Dream rarely takes on the role of Emperor however, and prefers to be a loose cannon. Manburg is lead by Schlatt of course, and the Badlands are lead by BadBoyHalo. I think there is also Manifold land, lead by Jack Manifold. However Manifold land only has Jack, and most people don't acknowledge his faction at this point in time.
The Holy Land is the one place on the server where killing isn't allowed, it's the safe zone. As long as a player is inside it's borders, they cannot be killed.
That should hopefully clear some things up.
IMPORTANT! (No spoilers) One consistent problem with these dream SMP videos is that they never explain what happens in between them, so many major things happen that you never find on any of their channels. For example, Fundy and Sapnap had an ENTIRE war in between the L'manburg revolution and election. I'm sure they both made videos on it but they are always overlooked because they aren't by any of the main guys. Two HUGE things happen in between the festival and the next one and yet they are both skipped and instead the videos jump right to the others without any explanation! The only way you can discover these events is either watching the ENTIRE vods or looking for some fan account who made a 4-minute explanation or recap video. My suggestion is just to watch Tommy's video called: "I fought Dream and Technoblade (GRAND FINALE)" (make sure it's tommys because he ads Wilbur's POV at the end (for reasons I cannot say) and Techno's doesn't have as much lore as the other two) and I can explain what happened in between them in the comments. You definitely want to see the other perspectives of this last one so you can see how the pacing lines up. It won't make sense till you see wilbur's perspective.
to be clear about this. The server had no stealing no griefing, it had occasional fighting but a stop was respected.
Day 1 tommy joined he stole, killed and spawn farmed george, broke and changed the donation signs, set fires and got thrown in prison i feel like tommy is the least deserving maybe w/ fundy for anything good... U just have not seen the videos that show how anoyingly bad tommy is sometimes!
06:30 well... Tommy streams like 2 hours a day sometimes, the videos you see are just the most plot relevant stuff that happens like once a month
The statue of Pokimane was made because Pokimane will join the server in the future, although it already happened

FINALY!!! This was about where I finaly jumped in, catching live streams, at it was AMAZING
the festival (and some of the upcoming major events) are best watched from multiple perspectives . As different plot points unfold in different streams all of which are required to see the big picture fully. .
I will provide a summary of what happened in the other streams below (spoiler warning)
Wilbur and tommy gave Tubbo a code phrase to cue them to blow the place up. It was solely on Tubbo's shoulders if the place would blow or not. the phrase was "let the festival begin" which he did speak. Once that was said Wilbur ran to where he hid the button to trigger the TNT but could not find it anywhere (hence the need for a new button). It was stated he found the room he made for the TNT later on, he was looking in the wrong spot.
Will and the others did not step in during Tubbo's death as they thought that Techno would never harm tubbo and spent the whole time assuring Tubbo through whispers that Techno was on there side and he was safe. of course that was promptly followed by Techno murdering him. That is when Tommy enderpearled in whacked Technoblade, and then stared in shock at the cage that once held his friend untill everyone came back and started killing him.
I originally watched from Technoblade's perspective (Techno is by preferred streamer of the group) and then went back to watch the others.
for when you get to the war, definitely watch wilbur's pov (as well as whoever else's you're planning on watching). very important things from his pov

Here is a fast summary of the other povs:
on Wilburs side he gave tubbo a code phraze that was in the speech and when tubbo said it, he was gonna press the doom button and just detonate the whole place, but he got stalled bc schlatt caught tubbo. The line was "Let the festival Begin!" and as that happned, Wilbur ran fo the button but he lost it in all the chaos and came back to reassure tommy that techno wouldn't hurt tubbo and at first was thoughtfully stunned that tubbo was killed. Coming out on the road before the podium and talking to schlatt (tommy and tubbo were going back to pogtopia along with techno by then) He then got niki away and they both came around to pogtopia as well before the confrontation.
On tommys Well he spent the whole night trying to talk wilbur out of blowing thier old home up, and one could say tommys moral compass hinges on tubbo, At this point Tommy n tubbo talked over wilburs decision to blow the place up. Tommy wants to fight back and reclaim it without destrucion. Tommy feels he cant trust wilbur anymore but he doesnt wanna give up on him. then there is the festival. And techno murders tubbo. To tommy that is all that mattered on that festival. Techno listened to Schlatt and, as tommy said killed his right hand man. That is it. In tommys eyes techno betrayed him beacose he hurt tubbo. He ACUALLY pearled to the stage right after the tuboo died and imminently startred attacking techno. Tommys moral compas hinges and depends on tubbo in this moment. He imminently went to get tubbo after the fight and gave him armor and told him to stick close as they came to pogtopia i belive.
Tubbo and tommy bicker a lot but when it comes down to it they are always a duo
End of summary
So I was there for the festival ho boy it was a expirance as from somebody who was waching wilburs pov on this, it was well a disaster.
About the Canon lives in this, tommy has one left and that fight with techno was more of a fistfight than a to the death situation, Tubbo lost his second one to technos rocket, schlatt n quackity as well, the crowd didn't really lose theirs.
To some lore tidbits from other povs, fundy ran to a bunker just as the rockets went off and avided all the death, he also started to question his stance on things, and went to speak with tubbo right at the end of his stream.
As to what to watch Next! Def def check out Wilburs finale video it has the best storytelling and explains everything that happened during the acual war! Wilbur also included multiple pov so you don't miss out on for example techno lines! For what happened right after recommend tommys pov! Next two vids may be just these 2 war videos.
I checked around and there aren't really videos covering what happned during the space of time between the festival and the war so here are spoilers for that if u want them. Ofc it is all in vods but the only video that really covered it was taken down so here is a little summary
Quacity gets fed up with schlatt starting at tubbos execution and ending when schlatt tore down the Whitehouse, they had a big argument and quackity shot schlatt with a bow and that took his 2nd Canon life, and defected to pogtopia
Fundy reveled that he was a spy on pogtopias side the whole time, he had a whole diary written with schlatts weaknesses and such he gave it to wilbur.
Wilbur was gonna blow up the place mulitple times. right after quackity defected tommy n quackity talked him down from it, the first time day after the festival. He was talked down from it multiple times.
all it came down to in the end was dream saying he supports schlatt which was really quite a big change of character but he has stated that schlatt gave him something he couldn't refuse, to this day all we know its a book containing some big secret info. That could put even dream in danger if reveled. He also said there was a traitor on pogtopias side they don't know who it is till the revolution day
The difference between Dream & Techno is that, Techno follows a pattern & abides by his rules. While Dream changes his stance based on the circumstances.
Yeah we all had goosebumps watching all this live it was quite the adventure (: this is probably my favorite plotline so far but there’s still definitely a lot of potential for the future.
Finally this is what I’ve been waiting for
“I have the blade.”
That line will mean something much later and it makes me cry.

The red festival was the first stream that I was there live (every other past event I watched in videos and highlights and VODs), watched Technoblade POV and omg it was AWESOME, I had so much fun. I was so stressed when Tubbo was trapped 😣
I recommend A LOT you watch Wilbur's POV too, to know what he, Tommy and Tubbo talked before the festival and understand what Tommy and Wilbur were doing in that roof.
