So basically Fundy realized that on doomsday that Lmanberg wasn't going to win and chose the winning side techno and dream , afterwards he tried to make neutral into a side and twisted Ranboos "don't pick sides" speech.
Just to clarify, the voice in Ranboo´s head isn´t actually Dream, it just sounds like Dream because Ranboo views Dream as the source of all evil hence the voice that tells him only negative things sounds like him.

Eret, who said he wanted to adopt Fundy, never showed up for the adoption. His grandfather, Phil, helped in the destruction of the entire nation that he was born into, the nation he bled for, the nation he betrayed his own father for. Fundy finally kinda snapped after all that. His character did anyway.

I get your adamance to believe that everything the voice is saying is false and that Ranboo would never do those things, but it seems more and more as this arc progresses, it becomes harder and harder to rationalize that Ranboo DIDN’T do those things. The real world evidence just piles up more and more. That’s why I’m very excited for how this storyline continues. It’s an all around mind-bender.
It's just hard because Ranboo is clearly a victim of his own mind if such a thing is possible. You want the best for him but it's like his subsconscious doesn't want the best for him.

hi!! i'll edit this comment to add bits of info/answer questions as i see them :) 3:14 - yes. during the doomsday stream, techno and phil ran into ranboo, techno gave ranboo back his book and told ranboo to leave because they had no qualms with him and he didn't need to get hurt. wholesome in its own way lol. 3:59 - tommy actually wrote to ranboo pretty consistently during his exile. they're definitely friends. 4:43 - yeah, to my understanding this is pretty much referring to his 'villain' arc before doomsday where he actually blew up all of l'manberg's supplies before the war to sabotage them. 7:11 - i'm guessing this was cut from the video but ranboo actually said that phil was the first person on the server for killing an enderman in front of him. papa phil indeed. 9:41 - ranboo has clarified that it's not actually dream. it's just the personification of his mind catastophising. 11:04 - "i'm just you." this somewhat abides to the theory that ranboo's other half is dreamon. personally it's my favourite theory about ranboo's non-enderman side but yeah, just thought i'd pop this idea in here. 13:42 - yes, it was either dream or ranboo under dream's orders who blew up the community house. i think you might have missed a bit of this and the details are a bit spotty in my mind so i apologise but ranboo found tnt in a chest in his panic room, confirming that he was the one who blew up the community house (or at least that was what dream wanted him to think). this then made the moment where dream supposedly admitted to it before he was taken to prison and stared at ranboo more terrifying for a lot of viewers - it suggested the notion that ranboo would feel indebted to dream because dream was 'taking the fall', so to speak, and would therefore be the one to help dream ultimately escape. (EDIT for 20:10 - okay, i got the order of events mixed up lol. here's the pieces of tnt regardless.) (EDIT for 21:13 - i've explained this before but yeah, people think it was dream covering for ranboo to get a favour from him, which would make sense since favours on the server are a common item for trading [e.g. techno and dream, sam likes making those deals with people, etc]. also remember that dream going to prison isn't him necessarily giving up, and there's also the theory that dream wanted to be safe from the egg inside the prison whilst it takes the rest of the server, since dream's relationship with time [and karl, and therefore the egg] is a bit unusual. you'll need to check out more for of the tales from the smp for this.) 27:31 - the crown is from ranboo's mc skin. it represents his character, and the smile is obviously dream. 33:25 - ranboo's character also doesn't want to remember bad things. if his character does something bad, or experiences something bad, he wouldn't actually write it down. this is something the dream voice mentioned. I checked that clip of Techno fighting Sapnap the other day actually and it was even worse: he went all the way down to 1.5 hearts. The only reason he survived was because he managed to eat right before that last hit I think so he immediately started regenerating and was able to enderpearl out. But it was pure luck that he survived, a single hit and he would have been gone. Probably wouldn't even have to have been a crit, because if he'd been any lower he couldn't have pearled away because the enderpearl itself would have killed him. It was about as close as it gets. People keep saying that Techno is too OP and talking like he could actually just casually fight the entire server and win but he's not invincible, not against that many people all at once.

21:15 If Dream’s goal is to make sure that the server is united into “one big happy family” as he says, then he accomplishes this by making sure that he is the one and only enemy, so he claims the guilt for the community house. Plus, he needs Ranboo to help him later on in the lore.

Also for the prison trip, you probably should have watched the whole process because in the trio everything was off for example besides dream, Sam was a less serious and more happy go lucky then normally during any else’s trip. When ranboo got nausea and died that has been theorized to be this fake/alternate reality collapsing. Also when ranboo visited dream in the real world he couldn't get past it because when asked has he visited before he said he did not but ranboo had signed the wavers so my theory is that ranboo visited in his enderwalk state, then what you saw was a fake world or an illusion so that's why in the real world the wavers were already signed
Yeah as others have said. The crown is Ranboo’s crown and the smiley is Dream. The chat freaks out and gets a little panicked whenever they see smiles.
21:23 Dream could have spared him in a sense. He didn’t want him to be taken to prison with him because he would lose one of his most useful tools. Also, Ranboo has an “ender-walk”, it’s basically like sleep walking. He doesn’t remember anything that happened when he is in this state and he even speaks enderman. I would recommend watching when Sapnap visited Dream, you can see this clearly at the end.
The thing is, during other people’s streams he sometimes types in a language that uses symbols. No one knows what it means, we just know he’s ender walking and he will not know what he’s done.
Ranboo types in Enderman, we figured this out because it's completely different from the symbols AntFrost types into chat, which is Standard Galactic used by the Enchantment Table
In a recent stream, Ranboo said that he's able to portray his character's anxiety and forgetfulness because he deals with similar things in real life. He clarified that what he experiences is nowhere near the extent of what c!Ranboo (character Ranboo) feels and is very minor, but he pulls from his experiences to better portray c!Ranboo. He has told and continues to tells his audience that he will make an effort to remain respectful to the community that his character is portraying, that if he pushes a line or accidentally portrays an unwanted stereotype his audience is free to correct him. He does not want to bring more misinterpretations/misrepresentations upon the community. He also constantly reminds viewers that his character is not human, the things he goes through relates more to the fact that he is a combination of two fantasy creatures, Enderman, and one unknown; and has no correlation with conditions that exist in the real world, though they may be similar.
I think you overlooked the fact that the voice in ranboo's head isn't dream himself it's the voice he doesn't want to trust. Also he went to the prison to get answers from dream and he got them not from the dream he wanted but he got them and when he got them he refused to believe the answers he was given

It was probably in the Ranboo lore because after they opened the stronghold, Ranboo stared gaining his End Walker powers, which were from the original design for the enderman. Ranboo has silk touch hands, and he can pick up blocks that you normally wouldn't be able to. The theory is that because the Ender Dragon controls the enderman in the end, opening the stronghold caused some kind of a connection and unlocked Ranboo's powers.

1:10:20 This was Ranboo’s dream. He visited the prison shortly after Dream was placed there and he remembers none of it. This was the stream before Ranboo’s next lore stream where he legitimately visits the prison and gets denied assess because he visited the prison while ender walking.
Yeah, the problem here comes in that, the voice is actually telling him the truth, and he himself is denying it instead of realizing what he’s doing and putting a stop to it. Denial is just as bad as a mental block, it can make you think you didn’t do things you have done. The dream voice is actually trying to help him more than he’s trying to help himself, because if he realizes what he’s doing, he can put a stop to himself. Also, I don’t remember if it was seen, but for your thing of why would Dream lie to Tommy and Tubbo under pressure, Ranboo realizes why. Because Dream was protecting Ranboo.
Remember this voice is NOT DREAM. So don’t let the negative person Dream is affect your view on this voice. It’s trying to help Ranboo through Denial. The ‘no you didn’t’ is because Ranboo himself isn’t providing any evidence, he’s just saying ‘Well, I wouldn’t do that.’ I would say that’s an even worse argument

Hello! Just a few quick things, but please read (esp YoBGS). 1. It is canon, I believe, that the voice is actually part of Ranboo, but probably is under Dream's influence. 2. Dream was not in the prison at first-- this is going back to right after L'manberg exploded. 3. The reason that the TNT held so much weight is because we all watched hi build the panic room, and no one else knows where it is. He put it there and he doesn't know. Also later he says that he picked them up, but didn't say that at first-- it is unclear whether he deluded himself into that memory or not. 4. A friendly reminder that Ranboo (/rp) does NOT have Dissociative Identity Disorder. Though some things are similar, it is NOT the same. Do not think that. 5. There was a time before the first time you saw that Ranboo talked to himself. He thought it was actually Dream until the voice said that he wasn't real and faded away. 6. The voice isn't a panic attack but he often panics after hearing it. 7. The music is Fallen Down from Undertale-- it's Ranboo's angsty theme and indicates that he was turned/something is wrong. 8. The disc one happened before the Finale of Season 2. He had Cat and then went to see it again, and it was gone-- there was just a note that said "thanks :)" and then Dream had it for The Disc Confrontation. 9. It seems like the other side of Ranboo doesn't even fully know what it knows, just that it knows it. 10. His memory problems come and go. He seems confident that he knows when major events happen, and he sometimes can remember things like where he was depending on the disturbance from his other side. 11. Real character Dream didn't know that Ranboo that visited the prison wasn't the side that was his friend. He is friends with the other side of Ranboo. 12. It is widely accepted via the things that Warden Sam says after Ranboo's visit (please look at the video by Dream SMP hangout where Ranboo tells Sam not to let him into the prison, the title is something like that) that the visit we saw was a dream meant to show him what happened. That's why Sam was nicer, that's why things didn't make sense at the end. It was a version of a visit that had happened earlier that we and Ranboo hadn't known about. 13. Chat is very good about the whole triggering stuff, as well as Ranboo. After every lore stream Ranboo does a chill stream to make sure everyone is okay and he puts trigger warnings at the beginning of his streams if they're needed. 14. Watching this live is an experience. I was there for the whole Tommy's disc thing and chat was a lifesaver-- we were joking and laughing and the donos were fake ordering food. 10/10. 15. I'm writing this as I'm watching (I might not be able to watch all of this in one sitting so I'll be back) but that disc was in fact real! 16. Re: telling Tommy about the chest: Imagine Tommy's POV. His abuser has two things that hold power over him. Someone he is trying to trust ends up with one and no explanation besides that they hear his abuser's voice in their head and it makes them do stuff. He's trying not to lose anyone. And he doesn't know this, but Quackity wants to execute him already, and Tubbo is stopping him. He is in legitimate danger here. 16. During the Syndicate Dream was in prison! 17. One of the only legit rules on the SMP is that you CANNOT go to the end and the characters don't know abt it anyways.
It's been confirmed in a later stream that Ranboo has visited the prison before and doesn't remember, and this is prison scene a dream/nightmare about that time, likely the memory of the prison, the cell, Dream, and then filling in gaps with bad stuff like nightmares do
I have so much respect for Ranboo and Tommy. They are great actors and have told a very engaging story but I don't need that stress in my life. That's why I mostly watch Phil and Techno and others when they aren't role playing. I keep with what they are doing with clips and vods.
Sooooo... I have a theory: when Ranboo passes out he is time traveling. He is half whit, he forgets what happened just like Karl. Fundy cold him a time traveler. Dreams voice knows it and tries to tell him he did other things.
48:20 The reference is that Fundy’s microphone is very shit and it cuts out if he’s too loud. So whenever Fundy panics and screams it just cuts out. If he’s yelling something it cuts out mid-sentence because his microphone is bad.

Hey YoBGS!! As I waswatching I figured out that you were kindof tunneled on Ranboo being a good guy who is being manipulated. You shouldn't really rule out the possibility that this could all just be some atler ego (idk if that's the right word to use) thing of Ranboo. To be honest, I really do believe that Ranboo visualizes his internal monolog as Dream because he (and everyone else in the SMP) sees Dream as the source of all evil, the person to destroy friendships, begin wars, hurt people, not care about other people, etc. and just be a heartless person in general. We have seen that Ranboo's actual self is always in denial that he actual has the heart to do something so bad and evil even if he was told to do so and this could be the reason why his mind created an "external" person to blame everything on. The Dream that Ranboo sees could really be the bad part of himself that he does not want to associate to. Even though I don't think the lore might be this deep, there is a thing called dissociative amnesia. Dissociative amnesia is a type of dissociative disorder that involves inability to recall important personal information that would not typically be lost with ordinary forgetting. It is usually caused by trauma or stress. It makes you forget certain memories because they cause or reinvoke a trama that you have had in your past, a memory which you try to distance yourself from. Also 1:07:32 I was so upset cause you seemed like you didn't catch on to it at first and I was so dearly hoping that you wouldn't miss iy. But thank god you connected the dots lol. I am mildly dislexic so please excuse me if there are any spelling mistakes but I have tried my best to prove read everything I said :D

Their are some morse code at the end and some people already decode it like the one on the prison ending the crown will start to flash at some point that reveals the code which said not free yet and another one where the smiley face flashes revealing another code that said it's not over

Ranboo has little to no memory in his enderman stage so he most likely did those things since this voice is clearly his subconscious, which you need to separate from actual Dream. As for the reason his subconscious's voice is Dream is unclear, unless Ranboo is part of whatever Dream is or a creature Dream is (Dreamon). And as for Dream, I feel like he can somewhat feel this connection to Ranboo even if it's not as intense. And if Ranboo did help Dream, Ranboo to Dream, is his only friend left even if Ranboo doesn't know. I'm guessing Dream protected Ranboo by saying the community house was his doing
Fundy actually choose not to fight in the Doomsday war. His reason was that no matter what he fought for he always loses. He said that there may be only 1 way to bring everyone back together and that is if everyone is against him. He asked Ranboo to help him and that's why Ranboo said he had gone insane.
1:03:40 I actually think that that clip is especially important because it shows the drastic difference between point of views. Ranboo is someone who over thinks and often thinks that people are out to get him when they aren't. So the change in pov from Techno being hesitant to include Ranboo in his plans to Ranboo being so sure that he's getting kicked out is jarring to the point of being kind of funny. It's also important to note that Ranboo is very self-conscious and lacks confidence. He once said he has the backbone of a chocolate eclair, which is to say, none at all. He's always making sure to stay out of other people's way (he goes on deafen immediately and doesnt interrupt them when they're in the stronghold even though I believe he was the one to find it) almost never gets mad when he loses his things (as portrayed by Phil just taking a feather), he's not very territorial (going so far as to give Phil and Techno a tour of his comfort room) and he spends a lot of his time making presents for other people (the shovel and the cake). Overall, a pretty good clip when it comes to world building and showing character traits.

Something you’ve missed about dream that could be INCREDIBLY important is the Dremon storyline! It’s two videos that seemed to be non lore at the time, but with the new information we have gotten recently, it’s been revealed to be canon! It could really help you understand what’s going on with Ranboo too (if the theories are right)!
It's kinda funny rewatching these with someone who isn't up to date just because I get to laugh because this is how I must have looked watching it lmao.
Great video! The playlist you were given is a pretty good basic summary, but it does miss a few key details. I would recommend watching the short clips of Ranboo speaking to Awesamdude (the warden) about his prison visit (VERY VERY IMPORTANT), Sapnap passing Ranboo a message from Dream, and the footage of other SMP members catching Ranboo while he is "enderwalking". Seeing how "the other" Ranboo behaves adds a lot of suspense and depth to normal Ranboo's lore, and makes the idea of him doing bad things much more plausible. It's not something that would require another video, per se, but taking a few minutes to watch the clips would make this a much more immersive experience going forward!

Entering the End is banned, which is why Philza’s head cannon is that he protected Wilbur from the blast that destroyed L’Manburg when he pressed the button. Philza initially had wings but they got damaged while protecting his son. If the end was allowed then he would have had wings by now. All the good players would have had wings by now.

Watching Ranboo visit Dream in prison live was SOO crazy. The way they did the whole ending sequence, where Dream disappears and the prison literally starts crumbling around them, like, HOLY SHIT. I also think it's important to mention that the stream with Ranboo/Techno/Phil from Ranboo's perspective was 99% Ranboo freaking out, trying to calm himself down, etc for a loooong time, and all this distrust kind of festering between the three of them.
Hi! I'm going to help fill in the gaps that wasn't shown as well as some helpful trivia! Firstly, Ranboo has explicitly said he doesn't want to represent DID or any personality disorders in a negative light so the character Ranboo doesn't have anything like this. There are no "two halves fighting" like many original theories were. Ranboo also makes it clear that his character is not human, so no laws that relates to the human mind relates to him. The crown and smile you saw represent Ranboo and Dream. This is important. Next, Dream's voice. So, character Ranboo has kinda explained it as that since he is so afraid of Dream, that's why he picked his voice. Dream's voice in the prison explained it as Ranboo picking his voice because they talked so often that it was familiar, claiming the two were best friends and talked everyday. The reason the voice stopped after the Disc Confrontation was because Ranboo stopped talking to Dream. Speaking of the Disc Confrontation, let's talk about that next. If you watch carefully, you can see multiple moments where Ranboo and Dream stare at each other. The first major moment was when everyone went to see the pets Dream kidnapped (while he was in the box). Notably, Ranboo was the only one who didn't go down the hall, instead staring at Dream. Later, at the end, when Dream was taken to the elevator to go to the prison, Ranboo and Dream again locked eyes. In addition, Ranboo was the only one to go to the elevator and stare at it when Dream was going up. So, what did you miss? Firstly, you saw Ranboo had the disc "Cat". The next day, Ranboo checks the chest and the disc is gone. Instead, there is a note that says "Thanks :)". Ranboo still has this note and looks at it often. Secondly, after the Disc Confrontion (the same day), Ranboo monologues his confusion as to why Dream covered for him, basically saying that he belongs in the prison as well. He then starts hearing "Mellohi". Confused and angered, he goes to his panic room and finds the disc in the jukebox there but was confused as to why he heard it at his house. He heads home, but quickly starts hearing the music again. He then goes back to the panic room but no disc is in the box, however, it stops when he edits his memory book. He then determines that he is free from the voice. The stream ends with just Ranboo's crown, however, the smile flashes in morse code saying "It isnt over". Finally, after the prison nightmare, the smile shows as you saw, but you missed the crown flashing in morse code saying "not free yet". Next, Philza seems Ranboo in his sleepwalking state. Basically, Ranboo was aimlessly mining quartz and typing in an alien language in chat. Full translations are on the wiki. Finally, this edit of his visit cuts the beginning, which is important! I suggest watching the full conversation between Ranboo and Dream. Basically, chat knew something was wrong because many things were off comparing Ranboo's visit to Tommy and Bad who visited prior. What does that mean? Can't say anything yet :) Also Ranboo explained they pulled off the falling roof trick by using a copy world instead of the actual DSMP server. What's next? Watch Bad's visit (remember its before Ranboo's), Ranboo attempts to visit again, Sapnap's visit and his convo with Ranboo after, and Tommy's second visit. Also, Tales From the SMP, you should watch Mizu next (remember it is in the far future). And also, watch Techno's egg stream. DropsteR animatic binge wise, you can watch up to :) . That animatic is what happens after Sapnap's visit. Hope this helped!
Something to remember is that canonically, the Dream voice Ranboo hears in his panic room isn't Dream so therefore he is speaking to a voice in his head and not debating with Dream, also you seem to forget that Ranboo isn't human, he is an enderman so his enderwalk is his conciousness not really being there at all so it is very much possible that the Dream in his mind didn't tell a single lie
'Ranboo talks to Dream in his panic room' takes place before the Disk War Finale. So Dream wasn't in prison yet. Ranboo was the first one to find the Stronghold. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure Ranboo's Enderman abilities kicked in and his issues got worse afterwards.
In a stream between the syndicate and prison visit, Ranboo was at his house by Technoblade's and began to hear mellohi playing through a jukebox in the distance. He travelled all the way back to the panic room next to the L'Manberg crater as the music got louder and louder leading to him taking it out of the jukebox in the middle of the floor. He then returned back to Techno's only to hear the music again. After travelling back once more, he discovered the jukebox was empty but the song was still playing. He confronted the Dream voice but it never showed up, so he thought he got rid of it. That's why mellohi is associated with Ranboo and why he thought the voice was gone until the stream where he visited Dream in prison.
I have been noticing a lot of good bits being left out lately. For example, when they named the syndicate, orphan's parents wrote that down and other bits as such relating to the masquerade as well. I really hope that YoBGS has witnessed them and they just did not make it in the video instead of it not being in the video he watched which would be fine. Although I do know that it can be very hard to find which video to react to but if a ton of good scenes are just simply skipped. I hope the discord attempts to find a solution for this. I am not trying to incite hate towards anyone and I do not think that this is a mistake of YoBGS, the discord people or the people who make the compilations. This is just a very minor criticism I would like to make.

In a recent stream Ranboo was playing a song during his intro that describes someone blowing stuff up, coincidentally right after Tommy's stream where someone blowing things up in the prison got him stuck in the main cell with Dream.
So basically Fundy realized that on doomsday that Lmanberg wasn't going to win and chose the winning side techno and dream , afterwards he tried to make neutral into a side and twisted Ranboos "don't pick sides" speech.
Just to clarify, the voice in Ranboo´s head isn´t actually Dream, it just sounds like Dream because Ranboo views Dream as the source of all evil hence the voice that tells him only negative things sounds like him.

I get your adamance to believe that everything the voice is saying is false and that Ranboo would never do those things, but it seems more and more as this arc progresses, it becomes harder and harder to rationalize that Ranboo DIDN’T do those things. The real world evidence just piles up more and more. That’s why I’m very excited for how this storyline continues. It’s an all around mind-bender.

33:25 - ranboo's character also doesn't want to remember bad things. if his character does something bad, or experiences something bad, he wouldn't actually write it down. this is something the dream voice mentioned.
(also, in terms of ranboo's 'enderwalk' state. there is something at the end of sapnap's visit to dream in prison that is important for you to check out that links to this, and also shows dream's connection to it. i would highly recommend that video also just for how it displays sapnap's and dream's relationship on the server, and a prison visit is also interesting in general.)
48:05 - this isn't lore related or anthing but the reason phil and ranboo were laughing here (and ranboo covering for phil by telling the fundy joke) is because, legit 10-20 minutes before techno was due to start stream, phil left the doors to techno's house open and a creeper got in and blew everything up. his chests and posters were gone, so were the walls and floors, etc. they then frantically spent the few minutes trying to reassemble everything before techno got on lmao.

52:01 - okay, the interesting thing about this interaction (as glad as i am that ranboo finally confided in techno and phil) is how the different characters took it. from techno and phil's perspective, they have no reason to care about the disk or the community house when they've objectively done worse. like, it doesn't change their opinion of ranboo at all? from ranboo's pov, however, he has a habit of assuming the worst of people (this is something irl ranboo confirmed today in a thread on twitter about his character's morals) and i think he took it more that techno and phil don't care about his problems. it's a very interesting dynamic.
53:30 - this actually got me a bit sad watching live because, although it wasn't shown, ranboo was the one who found the stronghold on stream and then he showed techno. techno then yoinked it for him and phil and didn't invite ranboo along, to the stronghold or into their organisation. techno (irl) clarified later that of course his character wouldn't trust the amnesiac neighbour (esp after what happened with tommy and l’mamberg and everyone techno feels betrayed by) but yeah, this definitely hit harder now just how much ranboo was being left out - it wasn't just phil and techno awkwardly leaving lmao.

I checked that clip of Techno fighting Sapnap the other day actually and it was even worse: he went all the way down to 1.5 hearts. The only reason he survived was because he managed to eat right before that last hit I think so he immediately started regenerating and was able to enderpearl out. But it was pure luck that he survived, a single hit and he would have been gone. Probably wouldn't even have to have been a crit, because if he'd been any lower he couldn't have pearled away because the enderpearl itself would have killed him. It was about as close as it gets.
People keep saying that Techno is too OP and talking like he could actually just casually fight the entire server and win but he's not invincible, not against that many people all at once.

The music at the end with the black screen (Time stamp: 27:14 ) is a slightly distorted version of Fallen Down from the Undertale soundtrack. This usually plays at the end of lore-intense streams! Also, the Dream face with the crown is morse code!
Also for the prison trip, you probably should have watched the whole process because in the trio everything was off for example besides dream, Sam was a less serious and more happy go lucky then normally during any else’s trip. When ranboo got nausea and died that has been theorized to be this fake/alternate reality collapsing. Also when ranboo visited dream in the real world he couldn't get past it because when asked has he visited before he said he did not but ranboo had signed the wavers so my theory is that ranboo visited in his enderwalk state, then what you saw was a fake world or an illusion so that's why in the real world the wavers were already signed

Dream could have spared him in a sense. He didn’t want him to be taken to prison with him because he would lose one of his most useful tools. Also, Ranboo has an “ender-walk”, it’s basically like sleep walking. He doesn’t remember anything that happened when he is in this state and he even speaks enderman. I would recommend watching when Sapnap visited Dream, you can see this clearly at the end.
The thing is, during other people’s streams he sometimes types in a language that uses symbols. No one knows what it means, we just know he’s ender walking and he will not know what he’s done.
Ranboo types in Enderman, we figured this out because it's completely different from the symbols AntFrost types into chat, which is Standard Galactic used by the Enchantment Table

In a recent stream, Ranboo said that he's able to portray his character's anxiety and forgetfulness because he deals with similar things in real life. He clarified that what he experiences is nowhere near the extent of what c!Ranboo (character Ranboo) feels and is very minor, but he pulls from his experiences to better portray c!Ranboo. He has told and continues to tells his audience that he will make an effort to remain respectful to the community that his character is portraying, that if he pushes a line or accidentally portrays an unwanted stereotype his audience is free to correct him. He does not want to bring more misinterpretations/misrepresentations upon the community. He also constantly reminds viewers that his character is not human, the things he goes through relates more to the fact that he is a combination of two fantasy creatures, Enderman, and one unknown; and has no correlation with conditions that exist in the real world, though they may be similar.
I think you overlooked the fact that the voice in ranboo's head isn't dream himself it's the voice he doesn't want to trust.
Also he went to the prison to get answers from dream and he got them not from the dream he wanted but he got them and when he got them he refused to believe the answers he was given

It was probably in the Ranboo lore because after they opened the stronghold, Ranboo stared gaining his End Walker powers, which were from the original design for the enderman. Ranboo has silk touch hands, and he can pick up blocks that you normally wouldn't be able to. The theory is that because the Ender Dragon controls the enderman in the end, opening the stronghold caused some kind of a connection and unlocked Ranboo's powers.

1:10:20 This was Ranboo’s dream. He visited the prison shortly after Dream was placed there and he remembers none of it. This was the stream before Ranboo’s next lore stream where he legitimately visits the prison and gets denied assess because he visited the prison while ender walking.
Yeah, the problem here comes in that, the voice is actually telling him the truth, and he himself is denying it instead of realizing what he’s doing and putting a stop to it. Denial is just as bad as a mental block, it can make you think you didn’t do things you have done. The dream voice is actually trying to help him more than he’s trying to help himself, because if he realizes what he’s doing, he can put a stop to himself. Also, I don’t remember if it was seen, but for your thing of why would Dream lie to Tommy and Tubbo under pressure, Ranboo realizes why. Because Dream was protecting Ranboo.
Remember this voice is NOT DREAM. So don’t let the negative person Dream is affect your view on this voice. It’s trying to help Ranboo through Denial. The ‘no you didn’t’ is because Ranboo himself isn’t providing any evidence, he’s just saying ‘Well, I wouldn’t do that.’ I would say that’s an even worse argument

Hello! Just a few quick things, but please read (esp YoBGS).
1. It is canon, I believe, that the voice is actually part of Ranboo, but probably is under Dream's influence.
2. Dream was not in the prison at first-- this is going back to right after L'manberg exploded.
3. The reason that the TNT held so much weight is because we all watched hi build the panic room, and no one else knows where it is. He put it there and he doesn't know. Also later he says that he picked them up, but didn't say that at first-- it is unclear whether he deluded himself into that memory or not.
4. A friendly reminder that Ranboo (/rp) does NOT have Dissociative Identity Disorder. Though some things are similar, it is NOT the same. Do not think that.
5. There was a time before the first time you saw that Ranboo talked to himself. He thought it was actually Dream until the voice said that he wasn't real and faded away.
6. The voice isn't a panic attack but he often panics after hearing it.
7. The music is Fallen Down from Undertale-- it's Ranboo's angsty theme and indicates that he was turned/something is wrong.
8. The disc one happened before the Finale of Season 2. He had Cat and then went to see it again, and it was gone-- there was just a note that said "thanks :)" and then Dream had it for The Disc Confrontation.
9. It seems like the other side of Ranboo doesn't even fully know what it knows, just that it knows it.
10. His memory problems come and go. He seems confident that he knows when major events happen, and he sometimes can remember things like where he was depending on the disturbance from his other side.
11. Real character Dream didn't know that Ranboo that visited the prison wasn't the side that was his friend. He is friends with the other side of Ranboo.
12. It is widely accepted via the things that Warden Sam says after Ranboo's visit (please look at the video by Dream SMP hangout where Ranboo tells Sam not to let him into the prison, the title is something like that) that the visit we saw was a dream meant to show him what happened. That's why Sam was nicer, that's why things didn't make sense at the end. It was a version of a visit that had happened earlier that we and Ranboo hadn't known about.
13. Chat is very good about the whole triggering stuff, as well as Ranboo. After every lore stream Ranboo does a chill stream to make sure everyone is okay and he puts trigger warnings at the beginning of his streams if they're needed.
14. Watching this live is an experience. I was there for the whole Tommy's disc thing and chat was a lifesaver-- we were joking and laughing and the donos were fake ordering food. 10/10.
15. I'm writing this as I'm watching (I might not be able to watch all of this in one sitting so I'll be back) but that disc was in fact real!
16. Re: telling Tommy about the chest: Imagine Tommy's POV. His abuser has two things that hold power over him. Someone he is trying to trust ends up with one and no explanation besides that they hear his abuser's voice in their head and it makes them do stuff. He's trying not to lose anyone. And he doesn't know this, but Quackity wants to execute him already, and Tubbo is stopping him. He is in legitimate danger here.

Hey YoBGS!! As I waswatching I figured out that you were kindof tunneled on Ranboo being a good guy who is being manipulated. You shouldn't really rule out the possibility that this could all just be some atler ego (idk if that's the right word to use) thing of Ranboo.
To be honest, I really do believe that Ranboo visualizes his internal monolog as Dream because he (and everyone else in the SMP) sees Dream as the source of all evil, the person to destroy friendships, begin wars, hurt people, not care about other people, etc. and just be a heartless person in general. We have seen that Ranboo's actual self is always in denial that he actual has the heart to do something so bad and evil even if he was told to do so and this could be the reason why his mind created an "external" person to blame everything on. The Dream that Ranboo sees could really be the bad part of himself that he does not want to associate to.
Even though I don't think the lore might be this deep, there is a thing called dissociative amnesia. Dissociative amnesia is a type of dissociative disorder that involves inability to recall important personal information that would not typically be lost with ordinary forgetting. It is usually caused by trauma or stress. It makes you forget certain memories because they cause or reinvoke a trama that you have had in your past, a memory which you try to distance yourself from.

Ranboo has little to no memory in his enderman stage so he most likely did those things since this voice is clearly his subconscious, which you need to separate from actual Dream. As for the reason his subconscious's voice is Dream is unclear, unless Ranboo is part of whatever Dream is or a creature Dream is (Dreamon). And as for Dream, I feel like he can somewhat feel this connection to Ranboo even if it's not as intense. And if Ranboo did help Dream, Ranboo to Dream, is his only friend left even if Ranboo doesn't know. I'm guessing Dream protected Ranboo by saying the community house was his doing
Not only that, dream And Ranboo Both looked at Each other specifically. This happened at the finale when dream was getting arrested by Sam.
Fundy actually choose not to fight in the Doomsday war. His reason was that no matter what he fought for he always loses. He said that there may be only 1 way to bring everyone back together and that is if everyone is against him. He asked Ranboo to help him and that's why Ranboo said he had gone insane.
1:03:40 I actually think that that clip is especially important because it shows the drastic difference between point of views. Ranboo is someone who over thinks and often thinks that people are out to get him when they aren't. So the change in pov from Techno being hesitant to include Ranboo in his plans to Ranboo being so sure that he's getting kicked out is jarring to the point of being kind of funny. It's also important to note that Ranboo is very self-conscious and lacks confidence. He once said he has the backbone of a chocolate eclair, which is to say, none at all. He's always making sure to stay out of other people's way (he goes on deafen immediately and doesnt interrupt them when they're in the stronghold even though I believe he was the one to find it) almost never gets mad when he loses his things (as portrayed by Phil just taking a feather), he's not very territorial (going so far as to give Phil and Techno a tour of his comfort room) and he spends a lot of his time making presents for other people (the shovel and the cake). Overall, a pretty good clip when it comes to world building and showing character traits.

It’s two videos that seemed to be non lore at the time, but with the new information we have gotten recently, it’s been revealed to be canon! It could really help you understand what’s going on with Ranboo too (if the theories are right)!

Great video! The playlist you were given is a pretty good basic summary, but it does miss a few key details. I would recommend watching the short clips of Ranboo speaking to Awesamdude (the warden) about his prison visit (VERY VERY IMPORTANT), Sapnap passing Ranboo a message from Dream, and the footage of other SMP members catching Ranboo while he is "enderwalking". Seeing how "the other" Ranboo behaves adds a lot of suspense and depth to normal Ranboo's lore, and makes the idea of him doing bad things much more plausible. It's not something that would require another video, per se, but taking a few minutes to watch the clips would make this a much more immersive experience going forward!

54:39 One of the big rules of the SMP is you can not enter the End. Entering the End is banned, which is why Philza’s head cannon is that he protected Wilbur from the blast that destroyed L’Manburg when he pressed the button. Philza initially had wings but they got damaged while protecting his son. If the end was allowed then he would have had wings by now. All the good players would have had wings by now.
Yeah the whole prison visit was basically a dream of sorts. But it was still so epic to watch like holy cow! I freaked out when Dream said “I’m not real” and disappeared I had a heart attack lol. And yeah Ranboo’s character and lore is so good

Watching Ranboo visit Dream in prison live was SOO crazy. The way they did the whole ending sequence, where Dream disappears and the prison literally starts crumbling around them, like, HOLY SHIT.
I also think it's important to mention that the stream with Ranboo/Techno/Phil from Ranboo's perspective was 99% Ranboo freaking out, trying to calm himself down, etc for a loooong time, and all this distrust kind of festering between the three of them.

Hi! I'm going to help fill in the gaps that wasn't shown as well as some helpful trivia!
Firstly, Ranboo has explicitly said he doesn't want to represent DID or any personality disorders in a negative light so the character Ranboo doesn't have anything like this. There are no "two halves fighting" like many original theories were. Ranboo also makes it clear that his character is not human, so no laws that relates to the human mind relates to him.
The crown and smile you saw represent Ranboo and Dream. This is important.
Next, Dream's voice. So, character Ranboo has kinda explained it as that since he is so afraid of Dream, that's why he picked his voice. Dream's voice in the prison explained it as Ranboo picking his voice because they talked so often that it was familiar, claiming the two were best friends and talked everyday. The reason the voice stopped after the Disc Confrontation was because Ranboo stopped talking to Dream.
Speaking of the Disc Confrontation, let's talk about that next. If you watch carefully, you can see multiple moments where Ranboo and Dream stare at each other. The first major moment was when everyone went to see the pets Dream kidnapped (while he was in the box). Notably, Ranboo was the only one who didn't go down the hall, instead staring at Dream. Later, at the end, when Dream was taken to the elevator to go to the prison, Ranboo and Dream again locked eyes. In addition, Ranboo was the only one to go to the elevator and stare at it when Dream was going up.
So, what did you miss? Firstly, you saw Ranboo had the disc "Cat". The next day, Ranboo checks the chest and the disc is gone. Instead, there is a note that says "Thanks :)". Ranboo still has this note and looks at it often. Secondly, after the Disc Confrontion (the same day), Ranboo monologues his confusion as to why Dream covered for him, basically saying that he belongs in the prison as well. He then starts hearing "Mellohi". Confused and angered, he goes to his panic room and finds the disc in the jukebox there but was confused as to why he heard it at his house. He heads home, but quickly starts hearing the music again. He then goes back to the panic room but no disc is in the box, however, it stops when he edits his memory book. He then determines that he is free from the voice. The stream ends with just Ranboo's crown, however, the smile flashes in morse code saying "It isnt over". Finally, after the prison nightmare, the smile shows as you saw, but you missed the crown flashing in morse code saying "not free yet".
Next, Philza seems Ranboo in his sleepwalking state. Basically, Ranboo was aimlessly mining quartz and typing in an alien language in chat. Full translations are on the wiki. Finally, this edit of his visit cuts the beginning, which is important! I suggest watching the full conversation between Ranboo and Dream. Basically, chat knew something was wrong because many things were off comparing Ranboo's visit to Tommy and Bad who visited prior. What does that mean? Can't say anything yet :) Also Ranboo explained they pulled off the falling roof trick by using a copy world instead of the actual DSMP server.
What's next? Watch Bad's visit (remember its before Ranboo's), Ranboo attempts to visit again, Sapnap's visit and his convo with Ranboo after, and Tommy's second visit. Also, Tales From the SMP, you should watch Mizu next (remember it is in the far future). And also, watch Techno's egg stream.

Something to remember is that canonically, the Dream voice Ranboo hears in his panic room isn't Dream so therefore he is speaking to a voice in his head and not debating with Dream, also you seem to forget that Ranboo isn't human, he is an enderman so his enderwalk is his conciousness not really being there at all so it is very much possible that the Dream in his mind didn't tell a single lie
'Ranboo talks to Dream in his panic room' takes place before the Disk War Finale. So Dream wasn't in prison yet.
Ranboo was the first one to find the Stronghold. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure Ranboo's Enderman abilities kicked in and his issues got worse afterwards.
In a stream between the syndicate and prison visit, Ranboo was at his house by Technoblade's and began to hear mellohi playing through a jukebox in the distance. He travelled all the way back to the panic room next to the L'Manberg crater as the music got louder and louder leading to him taking it out of the jukebox in the middle of the floor. He then returned back to Techno's only to hear the music again. After travelling back once more, he discovered the jukebox was empty but the song was still playing. He confronted the Dream voice but it never showed up, so he thought he got rid of it. That's why mellohi is associated with Ranboo and why he thought the voice was gone until the stream where he visited Dream in prison.
He didn't say anything so that Ranboo could stay outside of the prison...

I have been noticing a lot of good bits being left out lately. For example, when they named the syndicate, orphan's parents wrote that down and other bits as such relating to the masquerade as well. I really hope that YoBGS has witnessed them and they just did not make it in the video instead of it not being in the video he watched which would be fine. Although I do know that it can be very hard to find which video to react to but if a ton of good scenes are just simply skipped. I hope the discord attempts to find a solution for this.
I am not trying to incite hate towards anyone and I do not think that this is a mistake of YoBGS, the discord people or the people who make the compilations. This is just a very minor criticism I would like to make.
