Thanks for this. I bought Moonglow a long time ago - I had lusted after it for a long time before I was able to buy it. Imagine my disappointment when the tube I got didn't look the way it was supposed to. The red didn't float in the mixture the way it was purported to. A person I wrote to about it said that it has the tendency to settle in the tube, and maybe I could try squeezing it out of the tube and mixing it better with a toothpick! And then what? Keep it in what, cause obviously it can't be put back in the tube. Yecch - what a mess. Better to try and mix your own. Kimberly Crick, I believe has youtube vid on mixing sub for moonglow.
It might be difficult to achieve without a moonglow swatch to compare it to, but l guess we'll have to save this video. Good illustration of where there's a will, there's a way.
Thank you, I love Mongols but finding out it's fugative was very sad, I am new to watercolour and I love learning how colours mix, this was brilliant to add to my mixing skills.
#177 is a fugitive color, so people are trying other colors to make a similar paint, unfortunately, alizarin crimson is also a fugitive paint. (so is opera pink)

Made my DIY with M.Graham viridian, DS French ultramarine, and DS quinacridone coral (PR 209). It came out really well.
That’s what I’m talking about! I love Quin coral!

That's why watercolor is much cheaper than the alcohol markers! You could mix the color!
Yes!
