Par to Newquay Journey Video

Welcome to Episode 4 of KTV Journeys. Today I'm doing the journey video between Par and Newquay aboard 153372 as my traction. A very scenic branch line that has some interesting features. I hope you enjoy!

Great trip Kieran You must have been at the front of the train I could hear the approaching a signal warning sound along with AWS and the train managers buzzer "lets go"

I used to live overlooking Par station, the new buldings on the right side used to be a 'motorail' depot to bring your car to Cornwall, in the 1960s ( when road speed averaged about 35mph and cars broke down a lot). I see Luxulyan has been spoilt by building lots of poor quality 'houses'.

Went on that route on holiday in 1970 and 1980, via the Newcastle to Newquay holiday express.
Seems you are still using semaphore signals even now.
That's progress for you.

A lot of Cornwall still uses semaphores which makes for bad reporting when trying to show where a train is.
