  • Welcome Back to another Onboard Rail Journey Video, A while back I posted the out leg of the journey from Par to Newquay on the same day I filmed this one which is the return leg from Newquay to Par onboard a Great Western Railway Class 150. When I mean Full Journey, this is the full 45 minute journey from Newquay to Par.
    Operator: Great Western Railway (GWR)
Unit Number: 150265 (2 Coach Unit)
Route: Newquay - Par (Atlantic Coast Line)
Stations this service called at: Quintrell Downs, St Columb Road, Roche, Bugle, Luxulyan & Par
This train also made 2 stops at both Goonbarrow Signal Box & St Blazey Signal Box as this line requries Token Keys Exchange between the 2 signal boxes and also the passing loops.
I Hope you all enjoy this Journey Video, looking forward to make more journey videos when unnecessary travels are permitted again. If you got any suggestions for me for where I should go and make another rail journey video by leaving a comment below. Also please leave a like & Subscribe to my channel to stay up to date for any new videos uploaded and also to see videos made from the past.

Thanks, nice to reminisce. My parents used to live in Indian Queens, up the road from the St Columb Road station. I used to enjoy catching the train into Newquay, then home on the last bus. Then, when I moved to Manchester, I’d get the trains) to Par, and this one to St Columb Road. Good old days.

Nice video. What is 'passing loops'?

Thank you for the comment. A passing loop is for trains passing each other when there is one line, Trains wait in the siding until the train coming goes on the loop section and the other train can proceed over the loop and continue its journey. Hope that info helps

@@BensPlanesTrainsProductions Oh I see. Thanks for the explanation. I rode the Par-Newquay line many times and always enjoyed it. I've lived in both Par and Luxulyan. Now I'm not in the UK, but love to reminisce and remember those days.

Oh right I see. Hopefully you can soon come and have a ride on the route again. It is a nice route, would have liked to have done the route on a Class 43 or 800, maybe this summer I might.
