I loved every Black Sabbath era, and each one of them has the fittest vocalist for it. God, this band has the greatest vocalists ever! Ozzy, Dio, Gillan, Hughes, a concert with Halford, and Tony Martin (although he's not the best live frontman, he has a vocal range as wide as Dio). Dickinson, you still have time hahaha The albums with Martin are all great, and they're so underrated that it's painful...
Ray Gillen's version of 'Eternal Idol' is worth a listen for sure, and don't forget Ian Gillan on 'Born Again'; that was a sketchy period but that album is a blast.

In the end I think Tony Martin was a better fit for Black Sabbath, because he was more involved in the songwriting, among other things, but that doesn't take away from the fact that Ray Gillen had a superior voice.
