2:04 I find much peace hearing these words from azreal. In my youth I sought much admiration from what War has undergone. Now as a more matured adult. I find it as a confession without the need of my consent. It speaks volumes to me but, hearing it from the angel. I simply want to say thank you.
I thought this cutscene was very vague, and maybe I had missed something (since I'm not a native speaker). But, now that I've finished the game, I know it was supposed to be vague.
Spoiler . . . . . The watcher was plotting to kill war once his quest is over so the watcher wanted to know if the tree made war aware of that or not .....of course war lied to him and said he saw nothing else .......in the end before war dies he will break the seaven seal again which means not just the three other horsemen will be summoned it also means War will come back to life after the watcher backstabbed him.
@@maximus6746 not kill war, just re imprison him. Like Fury at the beginning of ds3 i assume. Death and Strife seem to be free and roaming, i guess they're better behaved? Lol. But as a side point after war's death his chains to the watcher are broken and his powers un shackled as required of the horsemen on judgement day. The tree showed him the crazy final setup and serise of double crosses needed.
The Garden of Eden was sealed off and guarded by two angels after God exiled Adam and Eve. Then Eden was destroyed during the Flood that Noah prepared for. In this they're saying that Azreal took the entire Garden and hid it.
@@solidmagnus130 well that’s the Bible version. Noah nor the flood exist in this game. In the Darksiders Universe Eden was attacked by the Nephilim and successfully defended by the hellguard and Four Horsemen. However this victory still saw the destruction of Eden during the battle, literally casting it in ruins. The humans who survived the battle could no longer stay in Eden as it was not safe. The Angels discussed a plan and decided to transport the humans to Earth until they were one day ready to uphold their duty as the third kingdom. The White City saw no use for Eden and saw it more as a nuisance to watch over so they decided to allow it to continue and wither away. However Azrael could not let this happen. He saw it as a final gift given by the creator (God) before his disappearance. So using ancient magic he split up Eden and hid each piece in a different realm of its own. No one knew the location of the realm containing the tree of knowledge. Azrael kept it a secret to all of creation.
@@jonathanm9986 Hey thanks, for the correction. For some reason I thought they were going for the biblical version and had no idea there was a back story to eden.
The cutscenes of this game are so awesome and epic

7:33 Azreal is 100% done with the Watcher's bs.
No wonder Ulthane is a loner. He knew what it did. It eats him up inside. So, he decided everyone should leave him alone. Sad
Powerful speech
Want to know how to get the last light
I don't get that part where War gets stabbed on the back.
Edson Passos what don‘t you get about it, he knows that he will die by the armagedon blade.

If he sent the horsemen for the sake of balance id believe it go well.

@@solidmagnus130 it’s all good. Wasn’t hating. I just like explaining the game lore and story of this game franchise.

If only there were less boss fights.
What? There is a normal amount of boss fights in this game. Too many puzzles tough.
