    Thanks for showing us about ac730. I tried it when I couldn't get the ac100 jesmonite but I wasn't very good with it but after watching your video I realise I didn't mix it long enough lol. Your coasters have turned out lovely 👍

      Your very welcome mixing is really a game changer reqlly have to give time on that i really love the effect it gives 😀

      @Thomas Wilson I mixed it longer and did get easier to work with but remained more viscous and harder to poor than the ac100. I don't know if its just me but I'll be sticking to the ac100. Hope this helps you a bit.

    Great video. Thanks for sharing.
    I understand the mixing ratio of liquid and powder, but how did you figure out how much liquid you needed for your mould?

    Gorgeous work!! Do you think you could layer two colours of ac730? I’d love to use the silver grey granite alongside the black charcoal for a planter. Thinking it could be cool.

      Thankyou so much yes absolutely you can add as many layers as you like ☺❣

    Thanks for sharing, your works are beautiful! I really like AC730 grains but I’ve read that AC730 is very rough to the touch hence only suitable for outdoors. Wanted to get a sense check from you if you feel it’s too rough as soap dishes? Do you prefer AC100 or AC730 for soap dishes? And does the acid etch take away the need to sand?

    • @teaandart
      @teaandart  3 роки тому

      Hi thankyou so much for your kind words.
      Yes it does have roughness to touch but I still like the elegance of that product I used these dishes in my bathroom and trust me got so many compliments.
      As without adding any extra touches it has that terrazzo effect.But yes some people like AC100 as its easy to work with smooth finish.

    Fantastic video. Thank you. How can one dry the final product if there is no sunlight? I live in Germany, the sun here is absent 😎

      Hi thankyou so much for your kind words. We have actually the same weather in London 😀.
      You don't need sun it was just sunny that day so I took advantage of it. It can be dried in house takes around 2-3 hours then remove from the mold and let it sit for a day it will dry.😊

    can I use acid etch on jesmo100 as well instead of sanding (when making terrazzo trays for example)

    • @teaandart
      @teaandart  3 роки тому

      No i am afraid its only for AC730 i know how difficult its for sanding terrazzo but there is no other way.

    Hello! Total Jesmonite newbie, here! First time using this product and I'm trying AC730 - what is the sealant that you've used in this video? Wondering if I can find it in Canada...
    Thanks in advance for any info you can share!

      The sealer for AC730 is flexiguard by jesmonite. But you can use any concrete/ Stone sealer as well as AC730 is cement based .

    What's the difference between the Ac100 and Ac730.
    I'm using Ac 100 to make my candle containers.
    Thanks

    • @teaandart
      @teaandart  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Ac100 is gypsum based where as Ac 730 is cement based.
      So Ac100 is best for indoor and decorative purposes you need to seal it as well many artists are using Ac100 for candle containers how ever the sealents
      Are still in search iam experimenting with different sealers so might come with some options.
      Ac 730 is for outside how ever AC730 need etching and a sealer as well.

    I feel like I missed something, what are those tiny specks in the material is that naturally in the ac730?

    • @teaandart
      @teaandart  3 роки тому

      hi these are already in the ac730 powder they come in different effects this is silver granite. You need acid etch to reveal the texture.

    Why we put sand? and i wanna ask about the finishing layer safe for food if no. any recommendations

    • @teaandart
      @teaandart  3 роки тому +2

      There is no sand in this only ac730 powder. Jesmonite is not food safe.

    Hi, I'm a newbie here so only started watching your videos. Question: shouldn't your total weight of composite been 300g ( 50 + 250) or am I misunderstanding?

      Hi there welcome to my channel 😊 yes you are correct thats what it should be but My liquid was 54 gm so I took 254 gm of powder slightly up nay down don't matter that much 😊
