Old but gold !
I love longboarding but I gotta say that I don't get why you would use a longboard for tricks like this when it's easier and more impressive on a skateboard.
its more impressive on a skateboard, but its EASIER on a skateboard? isnt it when things are harder to do, its more impressive to see someone do? Yeah ik this comment is 4 years old lol
Best 50 seconds intro in Longboarding ever. Really chill audio, good imagination and control from Brian. Makes my favorite
One thing that I love about your videos is that you show a bit about what else goes on in the town. The boarding rocks.
i have never been interested in skateboarding movies or longboarding, i subscribed and love these vids because of the landscape they are filmed in, the music and the good quality, it all just seems so calming and beutiful :)!

ChaoticDroidd in that case it sounds like we have to be doing at least something right haha
Stoked you are stoked CD, thanks for being a part of it man.
Brian Bishop is a sick rider on the sickest board I've ever seen. I wish I had an Apex

Bishop is a bad man definitely one of the best I've seen.
I knew my city is a great place to ride and do some sick trick.
1:10 was awesome!
Great filming and editing, Sam! I loved how you showed a bit of scenery before you showed Brian skating.
:)
you guys made me miss Boston all over again. sob...
Never thought Longboarding can be so amazing!
Broken Bells are an awesome band. Awesome band + awesome longboarding = mint as video!
Brian Bishop is flat out amazing, no questions asked.
another thing i like about orignal is that an actual person responds. LONGBOARDING ROCK ON!!
Brian Bishop you inspired me to longboard and i hope you feel really good about yourself. Never quit longboarding. Haters gonna hate now go skate! :D
still sO glad I subscribed to this channel! thanks for the awesome vids guys!
i love how much variety longboarding has, brian bishop youre sick
We still sell, and rock Original trucks! We use them whenever we're carving! But when we're looking to ride at higher speeds and do a bit of freeriding, then we'll use a bushing truck which is more stable.
You guys are the BEST!!! You inspired me to longboard
The Apex 40 Diamond Drop would be perfect for you! The concave is great for sliding, and it has kicktails which are great for kicks. This board is also very durable and will last you a long time, especially if you add some PK Nose guards to it. -Lindsay
in case anyone was wondering, the song is Mall and the Misery by Broken Bells. SUCH a good band
brian you have finally visited my home!!! love you
Me and my friends skate boston almost everyday in the summer. this shit makes me nostalgic. Can't wait to get back this summer
This Video Man... I started Longboarding Off this video, Its so inspirational
Thanks Original. for Making my Life 100 times Better By introducing Longboarding In to My life.
Stay Awesome
-Josh
Usually riders in areas with smaller hills will slant more toward boards like the Apex as there is a significant amount of riding done at slower speeds (which can utilize the tail / nose more). If its pure high speed freeride, and the terrain is available to take long runs at higher speeds, most of the time you won't see boards with a nose.
If you are flying down a 10 mile long hill at 45 mph the last thing you care about is whether you can throw a bigspin half way down : )
The Pintail 37 would be a good beginner board for you. It's meant for cruising, carving, smaller hills, and you can learn how to slide with it. If you are also interested in doing some freestyle tricks then check out the Apex 34 double concave for a more versatile board and kicktails. -Lindsay
Yes you can! International shipping takes 5-7 business days to get to you with UPS, and it costs $60 USD. -Lindsay
sick video. great song to go along with it as well (two thumbs up)
Great video! I love how he takes the subway at the start and he is driving a car at the end
Hola Callay!
You can order from our online store here at Original Skateboards for the cost of the board plus $60USD for shipping (delivery to Spain takes 2 to 5 business days). You can also buy from any of the dealers who stock Original in Spain, we have many in Catalonia and a few in Madrid.
awesome videos you guys never let me down
@JamLambBaby
You gotta keep in mind that longboards require high quality craftsmanship along with materials such as wood, fiberglass, ink, resins etc. So the finished product is really a well crafted piece of sports equipment. Think of it like buying a pair of skis or a set of golf clubs. As for a board, tell us your height and weight and we'll help you find the right one!
bishop u sir are the best longboarder ever in my book
My Favorite longboarder in the whole Universe..... Brian Bishop!!!! :D
Good answer! I love original longboards and their teams.
Hey Marci! Sounds like you like to do a little bit of everything! I suggest either the Apex 34 double concave, or waiting for the Apex 37 double concave to come out which will be more stable for you on hills. -Lindsay
Great stuff and great music choice as always.
that's not just cruising, that's cruising in style!
Looks badass definitely going to check out and thanks for the suggestion nice to know you guys actually care about your customers =]
Steezy Sammy Weezy! Good to see you driving down Westland Ave and not letting your old pal know... See you around town.
i knew this sounded like the broken bells! finally some talent riding for originals, pretty good video
Hey Hades,
Depends on the type of riding you want to do. The stuff you see here is sort of a cross over blend between freeride and freestyle. For that sort of riding and Apex 40 would be killer. It's setup to be super strong for freestyle (tons of reinforcement) which is why its a little more expensive to start. BUT it is actually good value in the long haul (if you do tricks) because crossover freestyle riding is so hard on a deck.
For more cruising and carving a Pintail 40 would be great.
those 360 Flips are amazing!
one of the best longbaorders ive seen
@ZeppelinWhoFan19
A great board for you would be the Apex 34. It's light weight and a little bit smaller than the one Brian's using in this video, so it will be a perfect sized board for you! Let us know if you have any other questions
I swear Bish just goes HAM everytime he leaves his house.
Brian you never disappoint.
its like you just cant stop getting better and better... YOU ROCK :)
i always love yalls videos :D
Brian you rides goofy man, i always see de guys riding regular, but i ride goofy and you are a inspiration for me.. thanks
@Originalskateboards Just getting into longboarding, I borrowed a friends for a few days and it got me hooked. I can't afford one yet (damn being a college student), but when I can, stuff like this inspires me. I haven't felt anything like just cruising around. Keep it up, hopefully I'll be joining the ranks soon!
Yhea!! men U rock's, I'm a skateboarder from Mex. but there is not usual to see longboarders but is pretty fun I enjoy seen this videos.
I watched like 2 of your videos then went and got a longboard best decision ever
WHOOOOOOOOOOO BRIAN BISHOP!!!!! YEAAAHHHHHH BEST LONGBOARDER IN THE WORLD!!!!!! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
The slow head turn to cut scene kills me to this day lmao
Damn nice video, you guys do great shots and editing and Brian shreds on an apex
inspirational as hell. makes me want to skate all day
Our main location is in Newton, NJ 07860, we dont have an official store but we do love visitors!
Arguably The Best Longboaridng Video On UA-cam. In my opinion anyway. Keep Up The Boardin
brian bishop is the man. great all around riding!
Brian reminds me of seann william scott so much, not only looks but also facial expressions :P Seems like a great guy to hang out with haha, and an awesome boarder too.
I don't know if I would say most longboarders are riding this way, even on our team I would say its a minority at this point. Most riders are currently focused on higher speed riding but the fact that most videos out there are older (like this one) could easily lead you to believe that most riding is done like this. In the end it's all about where you live and what you have to work with and how you choose to challenge yourself.
i saw you guys that when i fort i would be call to get a longboard so i did ! :D Never regreted buying one !
It sounds like you are looking to do a little bit of everything! I suggest checking out the Apex 40 Diamond Drop for stability during higher speeds, sick concave for sliding, and kicktails and durability for freestyle. As for wheels, I personally like using Abec 11 Flashbacks for sliding. -Lindsay
this video is so sick. Brian you're my idol.
oh good god, I'm so glad I moved here! Brian is a monster, and if you're in the neighborhood again, let me know, I'll make you an awesome dinner.
thats one sick 360Flip man!
I love you video's thanks for posting.
I love boston :) I longboarded while I was there over christmas
If you're just starting out, a good beginner board you should look into is the Pintail 40. It is meant for cruising and carving! Check out our Pintail video on our page to see how the pintails ride. -Lindsay
brian bishop's my favorite longboarder on their team
Sounds like a Drop Freeride 41 would be pretty dialed for you jackson. You could look at the Apex DiamondDrop if you are going hard at the freestyle game but if not the Drop Freeride will certainly hold up to occasional freestyle (and comes in a little cheaper). While there is no substitute for the insane durability the Apex brings to the table, the Drop Freeride is killer for... freeride. As you might expect.
3:15 is like free-running and longboarding combined!
Hey, all longboard wheels can slide. There are wheels made for it and wheels made to grip. For sliding wheels look into something that has rounded lips, this makes them easier to kick/activate slides on. The higher the duro or harder the wheel the less it will slow you down in slides. I do not recommend going very high or hard because you run more of a chance of your wheels slipping out. I tend to stay in between 78a-83a for wheels.

The one and only explanation for Brian Bishop's acid drops? Brian Bishop is a ninja.
loved it don't ever stop long boarding.
Boston is the greatest place on earth.
And for longboarding
@password2200
That is the 2008 / 2009 Apex with Original S8 trucks and Abec 11 ZigZags. The new version of the Apex (2011) is significantly stiffer with carbon bar reinforcement.
no way.. i was in boston yesterday and i was saying how much i wish i had a longboard.. i recognize some of these places haha
The best part of Bish is that he shreds the apex allll day, rides for original, but still doesnt ride their trucks.
No worries man, Pintail 46 would be a great cruiser that will absolutely hold you. For a drop down / freeride deck check out the Drop Freeride 44. Super stiff and won't have trouble with your 267 lbs
Woooow ! I really like it !
I dream some day to skate the same way but in Moscow !
Thanks a lot for the video !
@MrJackWaters
You should check out either the Pintail 40 or Pintail 43. Both of those are great designs for bombing hills while still having the maneuverability to rip up banks
hey brian, i would love to meet you some day, your my favorite longboarder, AND BY THE WAY, never stop riding!!!!
-Put pressure on your tail, and lift the board up.
-Grab you board on the toeside edge with your front hand, towards the front truck.
-Take 2-3 steps towards your desired object.
-Hop up with your last step (Bish used his back foot), and use your other foot (Bish's front foot) to hop off of the object.
-In the air, tuck your knees in and bring your board back under your feet.
-If all is in good accordance, ride away with a smile on your face.
You say wanna skate, we say wanna skate. Longboard. Skateboard.
Brian, you are awesome !!
Yo Keale,
Coming from Maui with all the hills you guys have I can totally understand the biased toward pure speed / downhill. That said these guys are just messing around. Bish shreds regardless of whether he is on a shortboard or a longboard. Having ridden the islands, the boards you see here are not what you want, that said, the reverse is also true. Your speed setup is going to feel slow and boring without the long downhills. Let different be different and knock it once you live it.
another amazing video, thanks original
Okay no problem, didn't mean your wall of this shredder vid. Love your guys long boards BTW! Best brand for sure!!!!!
Okay, That makes sense, most of the videos I have seen lately would lead me to think that, but its awesome to know higher speed riding is still pretty popular. Around where I live I see a lot of apex's.
Bish I love that you're a Boston guy, I gotta meet you and skate sometime. That's probably my most frequented T station, the one you went to in the beginning lol. :P
