Good looking big knife. The extra little mechanical add ons are interesting. I kind of agree for the price you can do better but looks like fun to own.

Agreed it's a looker, and when I do a full carry I'll get over those secondary lock pins - it was just maddening on day 1. I know I shouldn't complain, because I had to spend conscious effort learning where NOT to put my hand on the XM-24/27 lockbar so that I could open with the thumb studs. 🤜🤛✌

Glad the studs helped bro. If you know you don’t want that secondary lock you can send it to me. I can make some plugs like I did for mine. I just have to fit em to the individual knife Without that mod I wouldn’t be able to use it myself. Gotta agree that they had a bunch of designs flaw’s from the start. I would not recommend buying one either. But it doesn’t give an opportunity to mod. Ya know I am all about that 👊😎🤘🤘

Thanks Dave! I wasn't planning on carrying it for a bit, but I will def let you know when I do a proper full carry if it drives me over the edge (that will be sometime in 2024...I'm a snail :-). At the outset I guess I would put this in the category of a "successful attempt at seeing if something can be done to execute this mechanism" but at the same time a "failed attempt at melding normal use of #theoldesttoolknowntohumankind with said mechanism". 🤜😂🤛

Looks so good, I knew there had to be something wrong with it, haha.
Saying that, just because I don't have one, that is.
Love the looks and I do appreciate the doo-dads, gimmicks, novelties, etc. of toys but if someone's expecting it to be a standard frame lock, they'll be sorely disappointed.
Thanks for showcasing it, Satu absolutely saved it for ya.

Yeah, in this case, the mechanism got in its own way - when/if I do a full review, I know how they could solve it for a future iteration - just trim those pins down...but in reality no one is gonna use this in such a manner. Just pull out a fixed blade... 👊

I have this Version also the V2 and a T6000, all great knives!

A very clever mechanical design for sure. Did they with the V2 or 6000 address the accidental closing of the secondary lock pins in the closed position? Thanks! 👊✌️
