@Old World Blues
upper Echelon gaming showed that if you do what the vast majority of people playing rpg games do, aka play on a single save until completion (in this case, getting as many of the special items as possible) your save will be screwed
god forbid you take your time in the game, crafting and then doing questing, potentially resulting in a situation where you're 90% finished with the questline only for your save to die.

While I don´t care much about Cyberpunk, it was still a really nice conversation. Also, good to see God Emperor Tonald is making more apperences.
You and me are on the same boat floating through the raw sewage that was Cyberpunk 2077’s hype.
EFAP has affected Tonald. Will he be soon consumed by the toxic brood too?
I love the cyberpunk aesthetic and genre but i just couldn’t muster any enthusiasm for this game
The enthusiasm for this game TANKED once it was finally released. This is worse than Outer Worlds. People need to stop having such high expectations for AAA games, trying to explain this fact to the idiot fanboys all year was beyond frustrating.
@@yaryar5828 even in my gamer days i never got worked up over a new game and i never preordered. I just cannot understand why people get so hyped up about these games before they are released. Same goes for those idiots crying over the appearance of a certain someone in the mandalorian or boba fett dropping a bomb. Its utterly beyond me
Cara Dune is a republic shocktrooper. Why doesn't she recognize Luke Skywalker who is a hero of the republic?
Amnesia Rebirth happend 😂
Same with Bo Katan. She should have reacted in some way. I guess they didn’t wanna ruin the mando-baby yoda moment
because then clumsy exposition can't happen and it would be even more painfully obvious how shit disney writers are....
Scene only emphasizes that Mando doesn't recognize Luke, everyone else just doesn't react to him so you can't say either way if they know who he is or not and the way the scene is structured it was probably just so Mando Luke and Grogu can have a moment. The only confusing part of that was that Mando himself should be more curious bout who the fuck is mr Uncanny Valley outside of "You Jedi?...welp, good enough for me, here's my kid, take him forever, bye".
@Haven Same reason people like Van Hellsing with Hugh Jackman...cuz it's fun to watch, it's well casted, well acted, has a lot of good set pieces, decent pacing and even though not flawless with the script, it's a basic simple story and it's the best live action Star Wars we got in almost 40 years.
Finally I can stop digging into my favorites and watch history to watch this

I think Rags summed it perfectly... it has a lot things going but each gameplay element is mediocre at best.
I'm so glad I didn't pre-order it. Actually, I stopped pre-ordering games for about 3 years.
@@sparkypack I say if you look for a good story and only that you might like it everything else is something we had a million times before and in most cases better executed.
would be better if he would just make a video for his own channel
@@brotbrotsen1100 Personally i think that maybe, instead of dangling the mirage of a cure in front of V, they should've had the balls to, from the very beginning, go "No cure, no mirage, no nothing. You have (in universe) 6 months left. Go out blazing, maybe get revenge on Arasaka or something."
V has 6 months left... and now he will live them to their fullest, doing the craziest jobs, getting the fanciest cars and apartments.. "It's better to burn out then fade away!"
Maybe instead of giving the player, and V, the believe that there was a cure, the game should've been up front about "V's fucked. Johnny will take over, unless V dies physically." And then the game could've been about V trying to make an impact and leave a legacy, about how V deals with being on borrowed time, but also wants to enjoy their last days. Will V use their last time to do some good? Or will V be an egocentric arse doing only what benefits them, to be "THE" Legend of Night City?
Going all... Rockstar, if you want.
Johnny could've still played a large role in this scenario. This would've allowed them to have a much more interactive world.
@@undertakernumberone1 True, the story plays it a bit to save at some places i still thought it was entertaining though. Maybe it was more that the presentation was really good come to think about it, i was pretty disappointed that the story didn't explored the whole cyberpunk theme really all that much. I kinda just want to forget about this game right now, the more I think about it the more dissapointed i am.

A really nice example of this done well, I feel, is AC4. In that game, just about every main quest is separated by something like a time skip, or even just a simple exchange at the end of the previous quest: "meet me at x in 2 months time..." or something to that effect. Just that little nudge that tells you "no rush, you have plenty of time" improved the experience so much for me.
I'm normally the type to get straight into the main story, especially when the story is fairly urgent, so that very small addition made a big difference for me.
I still can belive how amazing Tonald's arc was.
Went from a meme to a prophet to a guy I actually what to hear his opinionabout things.

Can someone fill me in on what happened to Tonald? I can't watch many EFAPs because I've work and whatnot but last I knew Tonald was making stupid "x game didn't die IT WAS KILLED" videos and being ruthlessly mocked by the guys. What the hell happened?
@@lovablesnowman efap reacted to tonald at first because he made bad videogame reviews and they made fun of his videos for years. later tonald turned around his content and actually started to make good videos that got better and better to the point that now it feels like he is a completely different person from when efap started reacting to him. Now he is becoming more of a regular guest on efap which is crazy when you think of the arc he had.

3:39:45 Oh, boy the Dark Saber convo aged even poorer this time with what happened in season 3. Every time the dark saber gets brought up, it's like a curse that makes the quality of Star Wars drop further and further. Thanks, Filloni.
Coming back to this after Edgerunners came out and I’m actually depressed how fantastic this game could have been
"This game is clearly made with console play in mind."
Interesting. I'm one of those filthy primarily console players and playing it on the PS4, I feel like the UI is clearly made with PC play in mind. No menus are easy to sort or look through and the extremely common menu navigation functions that are in other games, seemingly with a controller in mind, are absent in this game.
Apparently, it's not made with anyone in mind.
I haven't played, but I've seen the UI. It doesn't look good for any input device.

PERSONAL
RESPONSIBILITY
Can you clarify what was in the first trailer that you think the game should be? I don't remember what you might be referring to.
@@deschain1910 they talked about it at around 33 minutes. It was some intriguing stuff, some chick with blades out of her hands, on the background there are news saying 14 people were killed, then a cool looking cop shows up and shoots her, then they're together, going somewhere and I was so intrigued, like did they reprogram her? Was she a cop going crazy? She even a human? Etc.
Really sad it never even got a cameo.
Edit: apparently there is a cameo, still... I wish instead of 3 paths that barely matter we could choose from a range of characters, I can't stand how stupid and generic V is.
@@alliezah
I thought that trailer was just a more dramatic portrayal of cyberpsychosis which is all over the game.
But, I wouldn't have minded cyberpsychosis having a larger part. It's certainly a very interesting topic within the universe, as it seems to be at times a purposeful misdiagnosis given to people broken by that society and the corps much of the time, and other times people who were infiltrated by rogue AI.
@@deschain1910 well, yeah, NOW we can assume that, but it's an 8 year old teaser trailer, who knows what they had in mind. It was definitely something different from what the final product is.
And that's exactly my beef with the game - I want to know what they had in mind back then. That's what I was excited about.
I haven't finished the game yet, feels like tlou2 all over again, I can take v's stupid ass for a very limited time a day, if they dive into cyberpsychosis more - I'll be happy to see, if it's just a side quest (as it is for my playthrough ATM) it's underwhelming. To me, at least.
Cyberpunk is a prime example of how hype culture can ruin a game.
Doesn't help the game is broken.
Also dont play the game how you like, you have a time limit do to a faulty save system that breaks if you play the game to long. pick up one to many items and your save corrupts.
Social media in general over-hypes everything, and worse still it ruins all mystic or secret about the game within 5 hours as people post pics/videos, streamers stream, and a game enters the memory hole much faster nowadays due to simple content overload. Human apes were never meant for this tech age, MGS2 covers this issue a good deal, in many ways it is stunting us socially and mentally.
CDPR ruined the game. The people hyping it were just wrong.
@@nillynush4899 yeah Kojima was really on point on that. and so was Deus ex to be fair. but I'd be damned if we were to let the google algorythm take a godlike position to filter content, or "add context" as it were in MGS2
How did the hype ruin it?
I cannot wait until the EFAP over Mando season 2. People are going to lose their minds.
Eh, I feel like public opinion has soured by this point.
The Mongolorian just desperately wanted to be a video game more than a quality show or movie.
@@silkendreams2409 Depends on the channel. Anomaly Inc is still battling a large amount of his viewers who refuse to see the truth or at least make good arguments for why it's good. I think Mando could be another TLJ in the making.
@@tsk13 Luke felt really out of character when he was speaking. He was like a robot and not the man we saw in ROTJ.
@@jeggsonvohees2201 would you say he was more machine now than man?
The game feels like they started and stopped several times and never figured out exactly what they wanted to do. There are broken pieces of systems, stories, characters and mechanics scattered all over the game, and very little about the game feels finished. I can forgive the company that. They set their ambitions too high and couldn't reach them. The dishonestly in the marketing and releasing a broken game on consoles is deplorable, though.
Because that's most likely what happened. The game was in pre-production until the last Witcher 3 expansion shipped (so, until around 2016), so any trailers before that were pretty much just concepts they were throwing around to build hype. Then they started coding, and it turned out that while they had a lot of experience with open world design, they had none with vehicles, complex AI, and presenting the world from a first person view. Still, they tried to make this full-on open-world game with all the possibilities and narrative directions, only to realize that they bit off waaaaay more than they can chew... and then Keanu Reeves happened, he became the face of the game, and so they took a hatchet to the original design and refocused the whole thing around Johnny Silverhand instead. I'd say that's at least one huge ninety-degrees shift in the middle of the development, and who knows how many others they had aside of that.
I mean, they were trying to craft the most immersive and lived-in open world ever, and the care and dedication to that shows, so when I see stuff like the the suddenly appearing cops and their nonexistent chase AI, all I can think of is that they either couldn't make the wanted system properly because of lack of experience or, more likely, they put as much care into it early on, but then they had to carve chunks out of the code to be ready to be shipped, and some spaghetti-code or dependency issue broke things so hard they had no time to do anything about it and settled on this "jury-rigged solution".
TL;DR: They simply bit off more than they could chew, redesigned the game to be simpler when Keanu came into the picture, but by then they made too many promises they still tried to somehow fulfill, and they failed to do so.
@@Horvath_Gabor I was just thinking that something simple that would have given them more flexibility to move stuff around and focus on things like AI or physics or all of the other basic problems that have been catalogued is to not have a voiced protagonist. I don't know why companies insist on including them in RPGs, especially in an entirely first-person game like this one.
@@Horvath_Gabor It makes me sad however that CDPR knew the game wasn't finished but released it because of a large vocal minority (Death Threats), and now they're strictly the new Bethesda.

Did anyone feel like the minimap was too zoomed in when driving? I was constantly missing turns and damaging my car.
Yeah, it's a common complaint.
It's odd how you can't adjust it. It seems so simple to implement.
In most games where cars and minimap GPS are a thing, the map zooms out as your speed increases, precisely so you can see the turns coming in time and anticipate your next maneuver. GTA has been doing it since at least the third installment, so has FarCry and many more open world games with cars. It's the kind of subtle feature you don't notice all that much when it's there, but becomes really egregious when missing. Just another cut to had to the thousand little cuts that kills this game for so many people. Imo, CDPR bit more than they could chew with this one, went out of their niche and missed the mark due to lack of experience developing open world looter-shooters.
BUT, despite all of the complaints, I bought it, played it and enjoyed my first 50 hours with the game. The thing that killed it for me is the save file corruption bug of which I was made aware two days ago. I find myself incapable of enjoying the game now that the looming spectre of losing all progress hangs over my head and prevents me from playing the game the way I want to play it, as a completionist. You done fucked up CDPR. Sad to see one of the last rays of hope in this greed-infested cesspool of an industry implode in such dramatic fashion, but there it is. Everyone be lying to their loyal customers in exchange for short term gains, filling their "games' full to the brim with psychologically manipulative wallet bait and selling out to the CCP. The Corpos have but one rule : " Profit is Paramount". They will sacrifice everything from friends and family to reputation and country if will have them 2 cents on the dollar. Me, I'll just Press A to blend into the Mob and watch as they guillotine your asses. I ain't lifting a damn finger for you filthy corporate establishment slimes.
I didn't have any problems with using it and effectively following it with missing turns, but it could certainly be better and isn't as functional as other games of the past decade.

Make a video on Buffy. I need more than "It's worth it, trust me." Especially if the first 2 seasons suck.
there's already way much more talented people on youtube doing that.
Just watch it. There's a solid narrative and joss writes for future seasons. Season one and two is monster of the week/stupid teen drama. The overarching plot is eh. There's a very self aware moment in season three that puts paid to the nonsense from season one and two and promises to do better. The show stops taking itself too seriously and joss finds a balance between fun and drama that works really well. Season three is extremely well executed. Joss hands the show over to (Darla actress) for season four on and while there are some shaky character moments in four, she hits her stride and the constant writing for future seasons continues, which is appreciated. Season one and two still have high points.

It's overrated. Watch DS9.
My superchat was about how I was being 1 shot at level 34 with 18 technical ability and armor crafted for that level. I was unaware at the time that armor bonus mods scaled with your level and that the intended gameplay was to get literally as many mod slots as you possibly could and fill them all armor bonus mods. This took me from ~700 armor to ~2600 armor in the span of about 5 minutes (because I had to craft mods which had a chance to randomly be upgraded to a higher rarity and I wanted purples).
The game never told me either that armor bonus mods scaled with level or that they had a chance to be crafted at a higher rarity, so I was just filling my armor with +crit bonuses because I figured if I was going to be that squishy then at least I could kill things super quickly. Now I find myself to be invincible at level 38 with almost 3000 armor and cold blood perks to push that number up to obscene levels. This game's systems are utterly broken and the developers did a poor job of explaining any of them.
The more you dig into what the game actually offers as a game even with no bugs. The more underwehemlming a game it is. Even fixging the bugs cant fix the fact the core gameplay loop is something inferior to even fallout freaking 4.
@@braddl9442 I really love dealing either 2000 damage or 12000 damage depending on whether or not I get a headshot with my revolver. Luckily, the tech shotgun is a lot more consistent and generally kills in 2-3 fully charged shots if I'm shooting through walls, and I can push that higher by pushing tech 2 points higher and taking the trait that makes tech weapons ignore armor. I might actually do that, but honestly I find tech weapons to be rather boring and slow (outside of the shotgun, which is still slower than I'd like but does the job), so I'm not sure I will.
@@brofist1959 At the very least tech weapons aren't completely worthless like smart weapons. I was really looking forward to trying some of those out

@@ClassMRule I don't know, I think informing the player how the game works is the bare minimum. Otherwise, the player might see that item drops with armor mods are getting +5 armor and assume that his crafted armor mods will also have +5 armor instead of +180 and thus never bother crafting them, especially since other items aren't randomly crafted at a higher rarity, either. Of course, this is especially a problem because none of the other mods in the game scale according to level in this way, so the player would have no reason to assume the crafted armadillo armor mod would be any different. The crafted armadillo mod is the only mod in the entire game as far as I can tell that has a stat boost determined by the level of the crafter at the time of crafting, everything else is a percentage increase.
I'd be interested in seeing you guys revisit this game. Since Edgerunners came out I've seen a lot of people claim that 2077 got the No Man's Sky treatment, but I'm skeptical
It didn't. Even if all the bugs were to be completely ironed out it's still mid at best. Though they are reworking some things like the wanted system and AI once Phantom Liberty drops.
2077 did not, in my opinion, get the no man sky treatment they are doing the bare minimum, which should have been done the whole time
Right, so eventually these guys got onto the topic of dialogue options and how the game doesn't change depending on whether you have certain dialogue options unlocked and they bring up the Mass Effect example and how the game changes depending on what options you pick. I think these guys have a really optimistic memory of how the Paragon/Renegade system works in Mass Effect. You will always have the Paragon Checks unlocked (options that require a high enough amount of Paragon Points) if you consistently choose the Paragon options in normal dialogue and don't speedrun the story and take the time to speak to companions and NPCs for side quests and stuff. You're not looking at different outcomes based on your dialogue options, you're looking at _choosing which outcome to unlock in this playthrough._ What I mean is that the only way you're going to get a different outcome because you didn't unlock the Paragon Check is if you're deliberately choosing the Renegade options, in which case you're going to have the Renegade Checks unlocked just the same amount as if you were doing Paragon. In most cases, playing Renegade will give you the same outcome, but you achieved it by threatening, bribing or blackmailing someone, or just outright killing them. There's no care going into what you say in a conversation because you just pick the top Paragon option every time and you always get the best outcome.
And Mass Effect is one of my favourite games of all time, but the Paragon/Renegade system is basically a power fantasy for either really nice people or people that want to roleplay an evil, genocidal villain. If you want to save as many people as possible and get the best resolutions to the plotlines and character arcs of your favourite companions, you just pick the Paragon option and _EVERY TIME_ you will have the power to get the absolute best resolution. If you want to be the one to push a button and see the last of a species go out, there's that button.
The Paragon/Renegade system is so basic in the Mass Effect games that there was absolutely NO value to picking the middle dialogue option and in the third game they got rid of the middle options entirely. It netted you the fewest Paragon/Renegade points and was usually the fence-sitter option that gave no rewards, so there was absolutely no reason to pick those options unless you were specifically trying to do a playthrough where you got as many people killed as possible, since even Renegade runs end up getting mostly decent resolutions just with a morally dubious method.
On the inventory discussion, Genshin Impact's inventory button is "B" on keyboard. So even though "I" is common, it's not universal, and that not being made clear is definitely up to be criticized.

I mean, Team Cherry is pretty nice, you know.
I'm in the same boat, but with a different company. I've always known that Nintendo is far from perfect, but I always appreciated that they put a lot of work and quality into their games, that their games are never reliant on patches and DLC to be good and that their marketing was always simply, "Here's the game, here's what you get to do in the game, and here's what's unique about it."
Then, this year, the scummy side of Nintendo came in waves. The first was 3D All-Stars being limited-release and full price despite being three old games with no additional content except a soundtrack. Then came a localization of the first FE game that was also limited-release (and the announcement kept going on about how the game had been Japan-only until now; conveniently forgetting that the game had a DS remake in 2009 that got a worldwide release). Finally came Age of Calamity and the false-advertising that surrounded it; namely that Nintendo kept advertising it as a prequel to Breath of the Wild that would enable the player to experience the Great Calamity, but the game was an alternate-timeline story about preventing the calamity like something out of a fanfiction written by someone who didn't want their favourite characters to die.
Mauler, on the bit about accents. You wouldn't just go, "oh, that guy's >insert< accent isn't terrible because there's probably some dude from the accent's place who speaks that way naturally.'
What you would do would be to establish a standard. First, the general standard, e.g. the typical "Scottish" accent. You gather a very large, representative sample for the entirety of Scotland, objectively measure their pronunciation of various words (via mic and software), remove deviations from the mean, and boom. You have the characteristics of the average Scottish accent. Then you group the deviations by similarity as well, which is likely to produce groups corresponding to distinct regions of Scotland, and there you have the accents from those particular places. You can also take age group into account, and as such see if there are generational differences in accents in different regions.

It's very clear that this game went through a major restructure part way through development. Early on this was meant to be a true open-world RPG where your choices matter and lead down different paths, but at some point they shifted to this more linear story structure.
There might be different endings, but most you're choices amount to nothing. This game is pushing you in a direction with an illusion of choice. There's very little reason to reply this game as it'll unfold more or less the same no matter ever you do.
I think they simply bit off more than what they could chew, and I'm fairly sure that the restructuring you are talking about happened two years ago (so, around the half-way point of the actual development, not counting pre-production), when Keanu Reeves got involved. Whether the focus changed to Johnny Silverhand because of his popularity with the fans, or he was roped in by the studio specifically because the original open world design didn't work and they needed someone to be the face of their new linear story is something we might never learn.
I don't know when it exactly happened but they also changed the genre, they went from rpg to action adventure.

The choices and multiple endings is what I expected based on their Witcher series. Way better than Mass effect which just lead to the same ending anyway and no choices mattered. In this one there are 5 (technically 6) endings that I know of.

The voiced protagonist was the big red flag that I was literally too stupid to notice. So much for roleplaying and customizing everything else but hey at least you can customize your pp word.

All those months of hearing "No they are giving us MORE CHOICE, that's what we want!" when this half-baked "open-world RPG" has less customization than Deus Ex for Christ's sake.
I really don't like the trend of voiced protagonists tbh. Dragon age Origins did so well with no voice but a metric crap ton of dialogue options and then Mass Effect popularized fewer dialogue options with voice acting behind it for whatever reason.

Not that I've made any characters that are mixed sex, but I like that it's an option.
I'm a bit mixed. The no-voice gives the possibility of hearing my own head voice and makes it easier to not limit the number of options. But I do like hearing a voice as long as it's well done and saying the options as they're presented and not saying something that seems to be completely different than what I chose. But, Cyberpunk has pretty grating protagonist voices and there's very little dialogue options that do anything but end in the only choice that you were ever supposed to choose. There's not even the depth of choosing to be cooperative or acting like a dick but going along with it. It's almost always just funneled into the one final option.

My personal fav of ep 7 is Mando discovers that blasters outright don't work on the edgebots and figures out that beskar cleaves em. And decides not to tell anyone in the room this and doesn't even try to act upon this himself, like dude they are coming through a choke point, two people on both ends of the door. One has the spear the other has the saber, chop chop chop.
1: That was ep 8
2: I'm pretty damn sure He stabbed it in the joints between the head and the torso
If your gonna criticise something do it right.
You've got a point about the saber though.
@@Sone01TheFirst sooo I'm completely right in the fact that beskar kills them? Just missed a number....and thus my criticism is wrong. Gotcha
@@chancebonnett8641 Perhaps I should of elaborated.
"Right that beskar kills them?"? You were argueing that "beskar cleaves them", there is a difference between "X kills X" and "X Cleaves X". One denotes the slaying of something, suggesting that X can be used to kill X, while the other can suggest that X can kill or destroy X easily(E.g. "Machine gun cleaves through people"). "Beskar cleaves them" in combination with the blaster thing made it sound like you were arguing that the beskar outright pierces through the armour, which I am damn sure did not happen(again, joints). You also brought up the blaster thing which I do not recall striking the joints like the beskar did, meaning we do not have proof that one works and one does not on the same part of the droids, point being that the blasters could work just as well on previously mentioned joints.
Since your arguing on the basis of "Beskar kills them" though, I have to question why you make it sound so simple and effective as a lightsaber(I doubt you believe that specifically, but you make it sound comparable), we don't see it being used to chop the droid to pieces but stabbing through a joint between the torso and head, suggesting that the joints are a weakness and not just an extra bit to stab instead of the armour. I find hard to believe that someone would be able to avoid being pummelled to death and be precise enough with their stabs or slashes(assuming the slashes are as effective as a thrust against the joint) to defeat the entire batch of droids. Also they have the ability to fly, not sure what's stopping them from rushing through the chokepoint and eventually overwhelming them, saber or no(Especially considering Mando is the one with the saber).
You missing the number of the final episode of a 8 episode season can suggest that you did not care enough to pay enough attention to analyse something well if you missed something as simple as a number, as such I am a tid bit more inclined to question weather or not your correct. Its one thing to miss a simple number of an episode in the middle of a 20 episode season, its another to miss the number of a final episode of an 8 episode season.
@@Sone01TheFirst dude, the gap in thier armor is almost a foot in length, when I said it cleaves them I meant it cleaves them, which it does. Saying a halberd cleaves a knight when almost 40% of that knights armor is vulnerable to it is not a misrepresentation of it's capabilities.
And they were in a hallway choke point with blaster proof armor, this is how battled were won in the days of castles.
And finally you are reading far into my number mix up, I read 7 and had a brain fart, where's all this dream reading style analysis coming from
@@chancebonnett8641 I'll give you that one on the whole gap thing.
Sure battles were won through the power of chokepoints back in the days of medieval castles, but this is in an age of where things such as jetpacks exist, and in this case its in the form of droids with rocket propelled feet good enough to propel them into the sky in seconds. So I still think they would be hard pressed to stop a bunch of flying chunks of metal from flying past or even through them while trying to hold them in said choke point, thus resulting in them getting surrounded.
I was trying to explain why I made the judgement I did in detail, it was in the end fairly minor and one I originally made as I read your original comment(or maybe it was right after, idk).
If there was one fundamental part of 2077 you would change, what would it be?
For me it's the RPG leveling elements. I feel like not having to deal with that would have a ripple effect, allowing the team to improve so many other aspects, and solve so much of the weapon/enemy imbalances.
Maybe a weird take but I think "RPG" aspects is the new "open world", as in it is a entirely viable gameplay mechanic that has a tendency to be added to games where it is not given justice.
I feel like less and less games are focused around a tight game-play loop with some flexibility in order to stave of staleness, opting instead for the whole leveling gear and equipment angle which can open up a whole can of worms even when it is mediocre.
I would change whatever stupid constraint in the code makes it impossible to have a save file over 8MB, under penalty of irreversible corruption of said file. That particular constraint just straight up killed the game for me. I can't bring myself to play a game that's liable to implode all my progress for daring to play it too much. Fuck that. Learn to fucking code CDPR.
I would make it so my choices mattered more. In a game with so many factions and characters you would think they would take advantage of this, but they don't.
im playing a pure hacker charater right now and it makes you feel so insanely powerful. you get into an enemy compound, access their camera network and literally just kill all of them through the camera system. its fun af, but totally broken.

There are NPCs in Cyberpunk. Which INSTANTLY makes it better.
Ehh, I wouldn't go as far as FO76. You have to actively try to fuck up to be as bad as FO76. Still, a disappointment nonetheless.
F76 was more a case of them taking something we wanted, and doing something completely different.
- Hey Todd? My friends and I would like to play Fallout as co-op.
- Did you say MASSIVE MULTIPLAYER?
- Ummm... no. Co-op? You know, me and my best friend...
- 1000s of other players! No NPCs!
- Sigh. Whatever.
76 was sort of 'I am not all that excited, but hey, I love the Fallout universe...so... wait and see'.
2077 was more hype train.
When it comes to tuning enemy stats on the fly to player level, Oblivion had that; it adjusted enemy level, enemy equipment tier, and loot tier in relation to player level.
Also I want Rags to discuss the Chadness of raising another mans child with Carl on Lotuseaters or perhaps some sort of special philosophEFAP
Luke returning in the Finale ALSO was just a Carbon Copy of the End of Rogue one where Vader did exactly the same and Fans wetted their pants over it....
I think there’s a decent distinction. While Vader’s moment was built up to with the rebels trying to run away from the Empire with Death Star plans, Luke’s entrance, while cool, is sort of contrived and lucky on Mando’s part. While yes, there is an explanation, again, it’s somewhat contrived
Well fans keep getting wet for ig
Considering how shit Star Wars has been in a good while, I think its understandable why so many wet their pants just because they saw Luke in his prime. Not that it makes the show good or anything, its just fan service does please people at times so in times like this, something like Mando which is passable at best seems like a masterpiece compared to what star fans have gotten in terms of live action.
Though I do hope that sooner or later people will come back to their senses (Kinda like what happened with TFA)
10:00 "It assumes that bottoms can't be dominant."
>tfw rags will never power bottom you then sit on your face
why even live.
Can't help but wish Spiff was there for this conversation so that he could tell tell the panel how 'perfectly balanced' this game was.
2:31:20 I see this conversation has aged interestingly. Everyone now has been si glamorouzied by the reworked game that everyone memory holes not only the bad launch, but the shitty practices leading up to release.
I apparently got a really lucky copy of Cyberpunk that doesn’t crash or bug really hard. Regardless, I’m enjoying the game.
Ill add myself to this sentiment, I jist get floating cars and weird npc actions which are probably just features.
@@SnakeEyes111 the bathesda edition
@@MrBalakan Yeah I think fallout 4 made me numb to this shit
Same here...it feels like they're talking about a different game to me.
A friend of mine with a custom PC also had this- no discernible bugs on her end, and she really likes the game. That doesn’t mean it’s not a problem, mind you, but yeah.
114 episodes in 3 months? That's an insane amount of EFAP. I spent somewhere between 3 and 6 months getting to around episode 70, but then I had to take a break for two months because I'd had too much EFAP (I listened to it 8 hours a day. Standing record is episode 50 where I did 12 or 16 hours basically without breaks and my brain started to melt). Then I restarted around 95 or 100 and now I'm caught up again. Have to figure out what I put on as background noise for the next 2 months...
I have also watched Whitelights Deathstranding video at least twice fully and as background noise at least 8 or 9 times, it's fucking great content
After hearing so much about how amazing the Witcher 3 is, I finally got it and all the expansions. I only played it for maybe ten hours. It looked good and sounded good, but I didn't enjoy playing it at all.
Different tastes
Oh hey, I'm halfway through the Efap playlist currently
Cyberpunk is a legit scam on PS4. Their PlayStation trailers are sure as hell not from consoles.
Good thing it’s gone from the stores competley
I played it on ps4 and there are a lot of crashes, I’ve had 4 in 4 days. But I haven’t experienced as many bugs as I thought I would, thankfully
@@Doctor_Straing_Strange Had several bugs, 1 crash... but it's utterly unplayable. Appalling frame-rates interspersed with key presses not registering and buggy as hell AI. I was in a firefight assisting the police, 2 police officers were standing around talking to each other next to the police car that was on fire, another lone officer was actually fighting back and then another officer engaged me despite me helping... then the game crashed.
@@wheeliebin18 yeah, I never had that kind of thing thankfully, but I hope they fix it, maybe they can, I don’t think so but there’s always hope that they do fix it.
I played this the day it came out played it for about an hour, didn't play again for about 8 months. I was going to sell it on ebay, but at the last minute gave it another go and it was fantastic. Truly really terrific. Most bugs and glitches were gone, and lots of upgrades had been installed into it.
It's kind of sad that many people won't play it because it was so terrible on release, but then that's CD Project Red's fault for releasing a buggy game.
Cyberpunk debate starts at 30:33
That's surprisingly early for them.
My brain fell out of my head at the discussion about cheese attributes; goddammit Mauler..
I love this game but my god these guys nailed it there problems are problems I had but couldn't articulate.
Time Stamps Man, where are youuuuuuuuuuu?
The lord has to break walls with his head first, it'll take time
wait... master chief is an alien superweapon now...? (I say "now", but I haven't played Halo story mode in 15 years.) I was happier without knowing newer lore.
He used to be a stereotypical action hero: He doesn't talk much, he doesn't like ceremony, he always kicks ass, he's always in the middle of everything and he always survives it.
It's a little comical when taken to such an extreme, but I don't think anyone actually cared. He was John McClane from Diehard or any of the characters portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger or Sylvester Stallone and so on except Master Chief has a top tier space suit on top of being badass incarnate.
Here's a fun little game: Starting at 2:23:10, take a shot everytime Tonald says 'like'.
I feel like you look at the wrong thing, feeling and finding people through the force was a thing since the first movie and perhaps baby Yoda was able to reach out through the force, with that stone circle place, so Jedi can notice him, which brings Luke in. The more glaring issue with the sequence, is that the dubstep ironmen just stop for no reason and wait till Fluke Skywalker leisurely comes around to slaughter them...
that is literally what ahsoka said in her episode, did people even watch the show? i mean yeah it has bad writing every now and then and then and then but actual dialogue is used to explain what would happen
@@Akakiryuushin that doesn't make it good... the writers are basically admitting even they know the whole plot is based on a long series of contrivances that have no interest in even trying to rationalize....
@@petriew2018 What is the line between a story being contrived and a character making a accurate prediction?
@@Dootnd when the entire plot of the rest of the season doesn't hinge on guest star of the week having 'a feeling' that puts the hero in the perfect position for all the important people to find him in the next episode....
Mando did nothing to earn this information, Mando had no choice in whether he follows it or not, he didn't even have to decipher it. He was literally just blundering around the universe hoping one of the clone wars throwbacks he stumbled in to could tell him something useful... until somebody all but literally handed him a map to follow when it was time to set up the finale. Yeah, that's pretty contrived when you boil it down
i know i'm gonna get push back from all the fanatics, but this isn't really a question of the show itself being bad, just how lazy the showrunning is. If this had all happened in a different order this actually would have fixed so many problems with this season. If he gets the prophecy so much earlier in the season, it would have given Mando some semblance of agency in his own series. If he has to find Tython, he now has a reason to seek out all the Clone Wars throwbacks instead of blundering into them seemingly at random. It could have been a riddle for him to figure out and show some actual brains, or made him the one intervening to save someone else for once and look like a badass instead of a sidekick. He would have had a reason to talk to people in actual conversations and have some character development.... it's so maddening for people who want this show to actually be good and not just brainless fanservice.
@@petriew2018 maybe you get pushback because your arguments are not accurate at all, because though it sounds pretty contrived, none of the examples you present apply, because none of that actually happened. It's like you never actually watched any of the show and are just regurgitating what you heard about it.
Also, you very much dogged my question, but that's ok, it's a hard one to figure out.
Absolutly amazing, one of my favourite episodes
A lot of good points, but the complaints about the slang is cringe as hell. As if people today don't use slang that people from 50+ years ago wouldn't understand and think was stupid.
"simp" "yeet" "meme" ect.
Super dumb to complain about something perfectly valid like the slang. That was one of the few things done well. The only complain that holds water is if Corpo's were using the slang, but even then corporations now use slang words to seem hip and connect with regular people to sell them shit (Just look at the cringefest that is corporate twitter).
5:13:06 I can't beleive Mauler knows what Minnesota is. Glad they got the accent mostly correct!
"I'm from Pennsylvania and I like going to McDonald's."
I'm a simple man. I see Lord Tonald, I clap.
2:31:20 - The crew that made No Man's Sky managed to turn their game around over time. Ya boy Internet Historian did a great video on that a while back.
8:29:50 - The correct response to this Superchat is "Whaddayadalkinabeet?" More Big Lez pls
3:29:48 - he may have forgotten about Raid Shadow Legends
I'm literally playing the game while listening to this, and all I'm doing is running into things that directly disprove their statements. Especially Rags. His statements on not being able to see what's in containers before looting them is so wrong it makes me wonder how much time he actually played this.
Rags isn't nearly as smart as he thinks he is. It's funny watching him try to act like an "intellectual".
