A walk down memory lane, as my husband comes from Great Wyrley and lived in Cannock for a year as a kid. I lived in Wolverhampton, and we often went to the Chase on Sundays, way back when nothing was open on a Sunday!! Both me and my husband must have gone there hundreds of times over the years. We now live in Bristol and kind of wish we had never bothered because it sucks.
My grandparents lived in market Drayton, a lovely looking town but wouldn't want to go out there . I worked at the swan at forton halfway between Newport and Norbury , definitely haunted , I saw a grey mass walking past when opening the bar one morning. And the cellar is spooky. And the road from the king's head, Newport towards the A41 is notorious for the ghost of madam piggott.... My mates dad was in the KH one night ( we used to frequent it a lot as it was the best of the many pubs in Newport) and he recalled how once a motorbike rider came in once , white as a sheet and downed two or three brandies in a row before saying he was riding down that aforementioned road and looking into his mirror he saw a laughing lady on the back of his bike. And my mates dad was not one for nonsense 19:30
Maybe one day I will make one on Leicestershire. I did used to teach at Leicester University. Although this was only for one tear so I cannot claim to know the County well.
I worked at Shugborough Hall in the 1980s. No ghosts. However. I revisted a couple of years ago, and whilst wandering around up at the farm, l saw a ghost ...it was me! My former self!
@@marty1234able Marty many years ago I had a friend who worked in the grounds at the Hall. He was from Cheslyn Hay and very tall. He might have been called Ian, but we all knew him as Ric Tic.
@javaintheraw2705 I don't remember that name. There were quite a few folk working in various roles either in the house or at the farm. Patrick Lichfield was in residence during my time, and security was very tight.
I live in Stafford now , Staffordshire has the be one of the most haunted counties in the UK , especially Cannock chase down the road .... Thank you for the video 👍
When I was at Stafford Poly my girlfriend was from South Shields. Her aunt and uncle visited her and stayed in the Swan. In the middle of the night a man was sitting on their bed shaving.
@@billyhodges7194 Ah Billy I grew up in Condover near Shrewsbury and Rolf appeared at the Village Hall promoting Australian food, tourism, etc. I was very young but there was an incident with a teenage girl. In those days these things were brushed under the carpet, but everyone in Condover hated Rolf.

The Swan has a room that they refuse to let people stay in because of the ghost activities

Stafford Gaol is now a place for certain sex offenders shall we say 🤔 .... It had a very infamous resident.... Can you guess who it is yet ??!!
Prince Andrew?
One of the murderers of James Bulgar?
