Ok....la Caballe' è super si sa...anche se qui nel pieno del suo splendore vocale..presta la voce ad un personaggio che prevederebbe una vocalità un po più spinta......la vera sorpresa è Berbabe Marti!!!! Bellissima voce...ben timbrata squillante acuti facili e non forzati..pronuncia italiana quasi perfetta e frasi ben scandite....meritava una carriera tutta sua!!!!!!

He had a hiatus hernia, a very common condition. She had far more serious health issues for years, according to her biography, Casta Diva. He is still alive today at 91. He had other interests, such as working on their ranch and converting an old building into a place where children could enjoy holiday festivities from across the area. He accompanied her on many engagements all over.

I would never minimize anybody’s health issues, but he overcame that . Another important thing to note is that he is still alive today at almost 93 years old.
@@luismanueltena I think this was in 1977. They married in 64, so this wasn’t that soon after they married. They were in San Francisco going back to their hotel when he had a mild heart attack. She said in the book, that he needed an electric device, and he recovered. It sounded like a pacemaker. There are many people with pacemakers living a normal life. This man is still alive to this day at 93! Another time he had a lung infection, from which he recovered with treatment and another time he experienced a hiatal hernia, another non life threatening condition. She encouraged him to retire. She said she wanted to stay a happily married woman, and not a widow. Her father had long time issues with his heart and he outlived her mother. I think when she was still a student, she had to help her mother with jobs when her father was unable to work. They worried about him. This probably reminded her of those times and she didn’t want to leave anything to chance. Bernarbi enjoyed spending time working on their ranch. There were plenty of times when he travelled with her on productions. I’m sure it was nice having him home with the kids when they were growing up when she couldn’t always be there. Wonderful family and good arrangements.
Just yesterday I read of his passing. Now he is joined with her again and both are in a better place. May God rest their souls.
