Caballe knows what the cover (fiata) of this passagio, trills, legato, cavatina/cabaletta demands in a vocal line well! The young girl received a high compliment with Caballe's attention inside this girl's voice of the aria. Caballe knows, too, that a class, to a master class, to a small stage, to a grand opera (career), and then as a Diva is all in itself the unknown journey...Some are just destined to legendary. Ésta chica no es resultado del talento (el que por cierto le sobra), es resultado de una técnica depurada, correcta y saludable.. Qué privilegio contar con ambas: material vocal y técnica.. Bravaaaa!!!!... Que podía opinar la Caballe?, nada, gozársela, disfrutarla, de hecho le quedaron cortas las palabras, o mejor dicho, la dejó sin palabras pues ella misma sabe que tiene todo, sólo continuar su proceso.. Quizás trabajar matízl!!

Simplemente es su naturaleza vocal ,ni tecnica ni pamplinas,y sobre todo que es joven,es una voz de registro muy corriente en casi todos los conservatorios del mundo, tampoco tiene unos sobre agudos alucinantes, no es una voz con un timbre ni un color especial .y en cuanto a lo que es cantar ,no interpreta, todo lo hace igual ,no matiza ,no tiene una paleta distinta de colores ,siempre utiliza el mismo sonido ,no entendiendo para nada el papel,no imprime de sensibilidad nostalgica el aria como muy bien lo hacia Maria Callas,no le da ese aroma de tristeza que tiene que tener,y en cuanto a la cabaletta tampoco hace un alarde de virtuosismo y al final se queda corta de aire...abria que oirla en un escenario ,con orquesta Si esta chica cantase asi con 50 años se podria hablar de tecnica pero que lo haga con 20 o 30 no es ningun merito, es la propia naturaleza femenina con todas sus maravillosas hormonas funcionando a traves de una laringe.Monserrat caballe a cantado como le ha dado la gana toda su vida , haciendo sus famosos pianisimos cuando musicalmente hacia falta pero tambien cuando a ella le apetecia , siempre se ha distinguido por no frasear ni volalizar demasiado bien y tambien por interpretar un repertorio que era el que no le correspondia, ahora si ,que a controlado el poder de la opera y que ha decidido muchisimas veces quien tenia que cantar y quien no.....eso si que es una realidad .Sus Master class son un gran SHOW donde la Caballe se divierte jugando con los pobres jovenes cantantes , algunas veces esa"" Gran dama se permite ser gratuitamente cruel con quien no se lo merece

Is an aria called Ah! Non credea mirarti from the opera La Sonnambula by Bellini. It is an aria with a cabaletta the beginning is just a warm-up, she is stretching her voice as an athlete has to do before running a marathon, and singers have to do it too.
I am sure people will not like what I will say but, this was little bit over the top, after awhile it was just fancy screaming. She has great range, that even famous opera singers would be jealous off, very powerful, but the whole time she was doing vocal gymnastics to an annoying level.

Excuse me, but can someone ples explain to me what is the purpose of this kind of excessive vibrato, when it's used ALL the damn time and you can't even identify the note the singer is supposed to sing, because the vibrato goes over three notes (and with that she sings coloraturas?!) ? And no dynamics? Poor music, to get destroyed like that. Worst part is that it is by singers with good instrument but apparently not very much musical intelligence.
