Only three things. Good to hear that even Joe can not play the flagoletts like Eddy did. It is so frustrating to practice and practice and practice and it does not Sound even similar. Second. Good to hear Joe brings in his own Tone and style into the songs. Third. It is sad that we can not hear them in Europe.

Sammy isn't honoring anything but his own name and his ego and himself with this trying to recreate Van Halen. Does he ever mention Ed during the shows? If this is truly a tribute there should be a part where they show Ed or atleast mention him.
The bass isn't coming through in here but the sound was HEAVY last night. I think part of it is the fact that they're tuned down a whole step so the lower frequencies are a bit jammed together. I loved how most of these sounded tuned down.

Jason B. with the "AVH kit" but it has his Dad on the drumheads. Something is off with this whole thing based on how Sammy promoted it at the beginning. It might depend on the venue, and that's more about what the facility charges, but we had 2 lawn tickets including parking and spent less than $100 for the entire night.
Where else are you going to hear Van Halen music played in a big venue with two of it's band members, a contemporary of EVH, and two other talented musicians?
I am going to see them with the correct expectation. Sat is barely a close on some of these songs. Sammy is singing 2 keys down and the drummer is relatively boring. I say this only to be extremely impressed and proud of them. I know there is a wizard guitar player out there that sounds just like Eddie. Kinda of how Boston found their guy from Home Depot years ago. They should have found him and gave him a shot at this tour.

If they wanted to just put somebody out there that can sound like Ed, there are lots of better choices, Pete Thorn would've been my pick, but there is something to be said about chemistry. Sammy went with what he knows with playing with them in The Circle and Chickenfoot. There's too much emphasis on this being a tribute instead of just accepting it as an effort to keep the Van Hagar era music alive.
