Doesn't ever say it in the anime, but the "Great Hole" they took the to lovers to is the den of a parasitic worm monster. Those two were stuffed with eggs used as nests, and then healed up. This goes on for a looooooong time until they finally can't be healed anymore. The whole time they are paralyzed staring at each other so they can see the agony they are both going through. Ainz wasn't joking with the "Death is a mercy" speech.
Hekkeran was lucky and died relatively quickly after just few "loads". Imina (the half elf) wasnt so lucky... Breeding bed for parasites, every orifice. Not allowed to die, her mind gave out soon enough. The priest dudes mind was completely shattered after too much mind manipulation.
The funny thing is, even if they weren't the same person, Momon is only meant to be watching their camp. He's not part of the dungeon crawling part of the job.
@@SnowyWolborg they know that momon was never gonna come, but it would’ve been a good attempt at bluffing, if their opponent wasn’t literally momon himself
Also, when the oversmart dude tried to bluff his way out and he said "Give Ainz our regards" - Ainz started laughing. Its because he just confirmed his bluff. If anybody was in a position to give them permission to enter, they'd be one of those 41 players. And these 41 players don't call him Ainz, his name is Momonga.
That and there is no way in hell any of his subordinates would say something like “Give Ainz my regards.” They always refer to him as Ainz-Sama or Lord Ainz
You guys asked why ainz's emotions was not suppressed, it actually was doing it, but every time it activated, ainz got angry again, that's why it took so long for him to really calm down. In anime they just delayed the effect because it would look weird.
Crazy thing that they didn’t include in the anime is that the priest guy mind became broken due to ainz’s experiments and he is now worshiping a rock, just a normal everyday rock you can see anywhere.
@@st2rseeker i dont remember but apparently, this is gonna be a spoiler so *SPOILER WARNING* The Six Gods that the Slane Theocracy worships are actually players that came to the New World(the world they are in) 600 years ago and apparently players are summoned to the New World every century and some of those Gods i.e. the players, had kids and so those kids and their bloodline are called Godkins which were the people who brainwashed shalltear with a world class item called Downfall of Castle and Country but she was killed before the mind control magic was completed so she was just idly standing there. Anyways the people that attacked shalltear were the Black scripture of the slane theocracy and the armored dude was the Platinum Dragon King, which they will probably face in Season 4(i hope) cuz they showed him in the opening. Yeah apparently the season 4 takes place during the volume 10, 11, and 14 of the novel and volumes 12-13 are gonna be made into a movie yeah I don’t know how they’re gonna fit in 14 if they skip 12 and 13 but those two are also quite separate to the main story so I guess it might work(vol. 12&13 take place in the Roble Holy Kingdom, my fav arc so far)
@@st2rseeker oh yeah to answer your question, it seems that having holy powers doesn’t have to mean that you believe the six Gods of the theocracy and the best example for that would be shalltear, she can use divine/faith magic while being an undead herself because the Gods she believed in are different from the New World people. But i still dont know if he got divine magic for worshipping a rock tho.
@@LeHarmacist it's never about gods, it's just the Tier Magic system that was brought from Yggdrasil, but of course no one knows that, aside from Ainz of course and the Dragon Lords
When this episode actually first dropped it made a lot of people really dislike the show. This was because they finally had the realization of “Wait, we aren’t the hero’s here??” Made watching reactions to this episode fun as hell to see.
It was just insanely evil when I first saw this and the last two. Ainz straight up entrapped the Workers and then tortured them ceaselessly. Before the things he did were either morally ambiguous or downplayed/glossed over. Now he's butchering adventurers he judged to be thieves (like all adventurers don't do exactly what these Workers do when it comes to tombs, which is why Momon is even there) but he literally set them up to be sent there.
@@VegaSlides look for the explanation in the comments of the last episode, it is still evil, but wasn't exactly for free they suffered this way, there were trials, and they failed all of them
@@VegaSlides they said they came for money, he offered each team a literal coffin full of gold and treasure that any adventure or worker can take and completely retire with. None of them took what they said they came for and continue fourth with the adventure and invaded his home.
If some of you are wondering, the inconsistency wasn't regarding Momon. It was the small hope that Ainz could have possibly found another member/friend of the guild. So when Hekkeran made up the story saying "Give AINZ my regards." That was the slip up. His friends regard him as Momonga as that's his original name and he only changed to Ainz afterwards.
Yea. My initial thought when i heard it in the LN (audio book) was touch me. Low key i was hoping it was touch me or bujin takemikazuchi/warrior takemikazuchi ot Luci*fer. Hell, even nishikienrai. But in all honesty, it a bit of an over kill to have nishikienrai or any others besides ainz. Its easy world domination.
THIS was the episode that BROKE a lot of fans who started watching the show. For me this was a proof of commitment to the characters and themes. But for a lot of viewers this was the episode that made people give up the show and start a twitter campaign to get the show cancelled but thankfully that didn't work cuz WE GOT SEASON 4!
I didn't particularly like this segment as I didn't find it really pushed anything forward and just felt like an excuse to do some malicious shit and not even really in a fun way, but I put up with far worse from other shows for a lot longer. Never considered dropping over it.
@@Reshapable It did push stuff forward, it showed the viewer the true horrors of Nazarick and just how inhuman Ainz has become. Every scene before, all we've been given are little hints of how sadistic and evil the people of Nazarick are, and how Ainz doesn't really feel anything for humans anymore, but the extent was never properly shown. At-least in the anime, not sure on the LN.
@@melanch0lycat5393 That's not pushing things forward. Now the viewer has seen that. What's changed? Ah nothing, we've just seen it. It's cool if that's enough for you but don't say it's something it isn't. And having to stop forward momentum to emphasize traits you wanted to express but weren't able to during said momentum is a crutch play, ideally you would combine the two. Instead we made a pit stop so Ains could pee on some orphans. Again not a big deal but not my favorite part of the series.
@@Reshapable What's changed? Idk, maybe it being the entire catalyst for what happens afterwards? Or did the fact that they used this event as justification to confront the Empire not matter? What's changed? Idk, maybe the viewer's perception of the characters and Ainz himself? Seeing as how a lot of fans dropped this show because of this one episode, I'd say it did a good job of that. Also I don't think it affected the show's momentum at all, if anything nothing much was happening before this.
If it was a show from the West you’re certain the twitter cancellation would have worked, so glad that it’s from Japan cause they don’t care about that lmao
Well... Technically Ainz and friends just defended their home from thieves and murderers. They left huge ass treasure outside for people who were there just to get money for living. Everyone who still went to the tomb were just greedy thieves.
Also because like Ainz is completely valid. I'd be upset too if people broke into my home to try and rob it, while I was inside it, and get mad at me and my family for defending our home. They could've just went "Ah, shit. Our bad. We were under the information this place was unoccupied. We'll just give you your stuff back and get out of your hair", but instead they all kept digging themselves into a deeper hole.
@@pwojo9776 To be fair, he did mention that he wasn't a fan of inviting the robbers - after all, Ainz manipulated the old wizard from the Empire (his name eludes me atm) into sending those robbers to Nazarick. So imo the outrage at the worker trying to make up an excuse involving Ainz' friends is authentic, but the outrage at the robbery was basically crocodile tears.
You maybe wanna know that in the Light Novel the two little sisters of arche from the ending were sold by there parents beacause they needet money and they died only a bit later from working as slaves... Pretty dark.
Regarding using the different parts of the body, they are talking about Arche, the girl Shalltear killed. Shalltear gave her a heart attack - She literally died without pain. Regarding Arche, her father sold her sisters as slave to pay off the debts. The sisters were overworked and die. Some people say, they were sold as sex slaves - no they weren't. Just normal slaves. Edit - To avoid confusion regarding the heart attack, Shalltear changed form and scare Arche so much her heart stopped beating. This can be a heart attack or a deadly shock idk.
It wasn’t till I read the novels that I realized Ainz was actually going to kill them honorably in combat, until Hekkaran tried to bluff him. It was only after Ainz was fed false hope that he changed his mind from regarding them as warriors to filthy thieves. So even though Ainz’s initial wrath was suppressed he was still so pissed off that he believed Foresight deserved the fate he decided for them. And since he had recently felt the pain of false hope, he decided that Arche’s mercy was to reveal to her that there was no hope before ending her. As twisted as that is her fate was very merciful compared to the rest of the workers.
I think the really messed up part as they were probably the nicest out of all the other thieves and they got the worst pubishment like even that dude with the elf slaves got off easy. This was pretty fucked up.
@Pelcogo Well, he had the fortune of running into Hamesuke. If he had run into anyone else he wouldn’t had been so lucky. Also his slaves are now official members of Nazarick living peacefully on Aura and Mare’s 6th floor.
What’s really f*ed up is what the author said happened to Arche’s sisters. Which I personally argue is not Ainz’s fault, because in truth the blame should fall on the f*ed up parents that endorsed it. Basically her parents sold the twins into slavery to pay off their debt and continue to live as nobles. The little girls died some time later from over work. Maruyama has a dark imagination.
@@jacobjohnson8635 That makes me feel a little better but I still have this feeling of intense dread inside of me that won't leave. I don't know why this show bothers me so much I watched saga of tanya the evil just fine.
Annd were all here in the darkest episode yet. This episode is what separates real fans from wanna be fans. And it seems director nasty passed with flying colors, rock lee passed too. Looking forward for the next episode! Prepare for the SASUGA moments!
@@ultraleitor ok this still doesn't answer the question on why this is posted here... relating to director nasty and rockdlee... which they reacted to this episode about a year ago... like... why this comment... on this video? for what purpose?
@@ultraleitor its like if you made a video, and I posted a comment saying your friend ( who isn't in the video whatsoever) reacted great on your video... but they already posted their video like a year ago with their reaction. there's no point or purpose to it really. the comment's relation to this video is litearlly nothing... like at all...
It was never stated in the show and is never planned to be but when asked, the creator has officially stated that the sister's were eventually sold to pay off the family debt and were "work" to death canonically for his story. I mean I could have lived without him saying that but if I had to know Imma make others know 😅.
And don’t forget about the two lovebirds, they didn’t get off easy either. They were made to house a certain area guardian’s family, and no it wasn’t the roach dude but something similar. The worst part is that they never died, they were paralyzed, so in Nazarick death is sometimes more preferable than living.
I remember reading that the two girls were sold off and then found out that it was the author himself that confirmed their death. The light novel ends with them being sent away
In the original web novel Arche didn't die, she became one of Shalltears ...toys instead. --- “Now then, how is that woman? I did promise to hurt her as little as possible after all.” “That woman… You mean Arche-chan, yes? Right now I’m in the middle of giving her a tail.” “Tail…? Did you turn her into a lycanthrope or the like?” Did there exist some method to turn people into the beastmen, lycanthropes? Wondering this, Ainz had asked Shalltear about it. “No, ana-…” “Enough.” Ainz immediately cut off Shalltear’s reply. “However, Ainz-sama. Please allow me to ask this much.” “What is it?” Although Ainz was getting a terribly bad feeling about this, it would not do to refuse her. Listening to one’s subordinates was the duty of a good ruler. “You ordered us to hurt her as little as possible. However, …just taking her virginity would be fine, yes?” “――PERORONCINOOO
I’m really glad the author did go with this route for the light novel. Just comes off as a fan service ending for the character. Which makes sense given that the fans voted for it.
@@rickkcir2151 yes and the author hated that so he never did any polls for his fans about that ever again lmao. He literally was disappointed that people chose to spare her. I’m very glad that the web and light novels didn’t consider each other canon to their own plot and are their own separate stories.
Ainz cares about his friends the most out of everything. He was believing the guy got permission because he WANTED to believe that his friends were still there and were looking for him. When he said “Give Ainz my regards” Ainz knew he was lying, because all of Ainz friends know that his name is Momonga. Ainz is what he renamed himself after being stuck in the new world. So his rage was real.
They two lovers get used as a nest for parasite worms in the Large Hole and Roberdyck the Cleric eventually goes completely insane with all the memory altering magic they use on him for experiments. Arche is the only who who got off light with dying immediately and Entoma taking her voice.
The light novel made that scene more brutal, but at the same time made you hate the side characters, they were technically thieves and murderers, so this was justified 👍
@@i.k5696 Listen man, you're either loyal to Nazarick or their enemies. And I don't any reason to have any mercy on enemies. Justified is very much usable.
You wouldn't normally call dungeon explorer's thieves per say as monsters aren't usually higher functioning or have ownership of goods. Unless you think Bell from danmanchi getting butchered would be justified as he's a dungeon theif
That is a point a lot of fans don’t realize. All of the workers were aware that there had to people living in the tomb, because it was too clean and maintained. Yet, despite that information, their mindset was still “take what you can and kill anything that gets in your way” It was only whenever they were faced with forces they could not best that they tried to negotiate. To Ainz the workers were no different than you’re typical home invaders. Who wouldn’t kill to protect their home and children?
when they said they have momon on their side in the light novel, ains shown momons helmet to show that he is momon, but they thought that he killed momon. also the chain around drip ains neck is a item that boosts your exp gain and ains wanted to test if he can get levels in another class thus he used melee at the beginning. you can also see the lizardman wearing those chains
Sometimes being cute and had a sad backstory don't exempt yourself from a brutal and undeserved death, Overlord is here to remind it and its satisfying.
Entoma took Arche's voice, all the parts scattered among Nazarick's denizens was from Arche's. And if you think Arche's end was dark, you should check what happened to her as a pet / toy of Shalltear in the Web Novel.... a painless death was indeed a mercy. Also, without Arche's providing money, the lenders liquidated all her family assets and then the sisters were sold into slavery to finish paying the debt, they died from overwork as slaves and, according to many, most likely they worked in the same "industry" as Tuare... so you can imagine what was the kind of "overwork" they died from. After losing everything the parents probably fell into absolute poverty living in the streets.
This is the one episode in which everyone just unanimously said "... are we following the bad guys...?" Bruh, they've been evil the whole time, just that some of the evil stuff they did was targeted to other bad people, but even back at season 2 they literally snatched hundreds of civilians that did nothing to deserve the things that awaited for them at Nazarick.
A some fun facts: - The collar Ainz is wearing boosts experience gained, he's trying to see if it's possible to exceed the former maximum level - Touch of Undeath literally stops the time of a target, hence why it's considered a higher tier than Paralysis - The swordsman's first martial art allowed him to stack martial art abilities, but caused a backlash, thus why he followed it up with Dull Pain so he could focus - In the LN, when Imina mentions Momon, Ainz tosses Momon's helmet onto the Arena floor to prove they have no way out - Arche's sisters suffer some very unfortunate fates, both in the LN and WN
The magic-seer hurling upon seeing Ains magic levels after he takes off the rings has the same kind of energy as Good Omens, there's a major character who can see people's auras radiating off of them, she's face to face with literal kid Anti-Christ before he truly comes to power, she just runs into him one day while literally looking for the Anti-Christ but not knowing it's him, he's asking her what his looks like and she can't see it so she tells him that sometime it doesn't work, then it pans out that his aura is like overshadowing like half of Europe.
They do this with Soul Eater too, like how everyone's soul has a unique shape, color, pattern, etc, and the Grim Reaper doesn't seem to have one when the MCs look at him, until it zzoms out and you see his soul encompasses the entire city
The fate of the two sisters was mentioned by the author of the LN where he mentioned they were sold into slavery by their parents and died from overwork. Also what Ainz did to Arche was mercy since the lovers are now breeding ground for a parasite monster, the priest went insane and the other survivors are either roach food or are being tortured for info
i'll explaine why it is so popular . evil characters in other anime have either a reason or flaw that makes themact as they do . their effort is concerted so there is always an air of redemption or falling deeper . for overlord he is evil in the same way a child sees the world . nothing outside of his family and friends matters it simply doesnt hold value outside of his goals that combined with the race effects pulling him farther away from general humanity ( stated in seasen 1 ep 2 and the 1st volume of the light novel ) we see what he is doing as evil but to him its just normal he isnt the hero of his own story in his own mind like the normal villian hes just a guy tryng to secure his family while looking for others.
He lost his empathy when he was turned into a skeleton. He's a sociopath. It is not an "innocent" evil as you say. Ainz is well aware that what he is doing is evil, very evil. He just doesn't care anymore, as he lacks empathy for any living creature. And his evil deeds benefit him and Nazarick. A child can be evil, but it's usually because they are ignorant of the greater world. Not because they genuinely don't value anything else, they are just immature. Ainz evilness doesn't stem from the same place. He is just pure evil, 110%. Fully aware and accepting. He kills people, uses them as food or hosts for parasites, and revives them just to do it all over again. Need I remind you, he was also a human once too. It's a great show, don't get me wrong. But let's call it how it is. Ainz, and his companions, are terrible monsters that none of us would ever want to meet in real life. They sees us as nothing more than resources or numbers. Life is not sacred to them at all.
@@jacobburns1095 a childs evil is devoid of morality ... it is literally the same .... you are attatching morality to it in the view of knowing what is or is not good by emotion - a child does not know the emotion to assighn to an action witch is why it is devoid of morality so ... no im am right . his actions are based on a goal the morality of it does not factor into his choices . he literally said so in the beginning - why can i see this and feel nothing . then again - hmmm i felt nothing after killing that soldier it seems i've become undead in both the mental and physical capacity . i could give about 19 more quotes to prove it from the light novel if you like .
@@jacobburns1095 after re reading my reply it sounded so matter fact .... that wasnt my intention i was just tryng to show the difference in how he acts vs how we percieve his actions . .... hmmmm best way i can put it ... if a child harms an animal we see it and know its bad we gain emotion from the act and react accordingly . with him being pulled from his humanity the connection to that kind of thing is shifted to his ppl and non humans but for humans we are as air to him meaning he is no different then the child that doesnt know to feel an emotion from the action. what makes it that much more powerful is that he is aware of that fact ..... i know that was long but i hope it cleared up a few things .
Ainz taking out his ring is like when you are playing a videogame with your little bro and letting him win, and he starts talking shit so you just sit straight, ready to destroy his hopes and dreams.
Ainz really got his hopes up a bit when he was being lied to but all his friends know him as momonga so when he heard ainz he knew. He was really that pissed off that the calm didn’t immediately work is how I took that but I’m an anime only so idk
Overlord laid down the law and reminded people that this is the story of a VILLAIN protagonist as he sets about conquering the world. This episode was the wake up call for all those who kept convincing themselves that Ainz was somehow the good guy in all of this. The lesser of two evils is still evil after all. After EVERYTHING that Ainz had done up until this point, it still took until THIS episode for it to finally sink in. For all those other people to realize and swallow the truth. Reminder: We are three seasons and eight episodes in. As unbelievable as that sounds, that's how long It took for a SIGNIFICANT portion of the viewer base to see the light. For the rest of the audience, the story and message was clear as day from the word "Go". WE. ARE. THE BAD GUYS. We always have been, and we love it.
All Hail Sorcerer King Ainz Ooal Gown !! We should all thank him for personally cleansing Nazarick off these sinning workers who dare dirty the supreme grounds of Nazarick with their unwanted presence.
A little explanation as to some of the magic that is used in this world: A majority of the New Worlders can only use magic in the 1st - 4th tier plus some Zero Tier magic (original magic spells made in the New World that aren't from the YGGDRASIL video game) Whenever someone says "Lesser Strength" or "Lesser Dexterity" it's not a debuff, it's actually just a weak buff. That's why when entities that are native to YGGDRASIL (Nazarick and other powerful beings) use magic they use higher tiers that have the word "Greater" in the spell. A high level buff would be something like "Greater Strength".
A quick Sad Fact: The parents from the magic caster Arche who thinks are still nobles, sold her sisters and died in "overwork" or something I heard. *_The end_*
Little fun fact, in the web novel arche (the little magic caster) is actually spared. She's given to shalltear by ainz, with the condition that she isn't allowed to make her feel pain, as a pet and used for her...entertainment. By pet I mean she wears dog ears and a tail, I won't explain how the tail is attached.
The reason why overlord was popular not cause the anime but the Lightnovel Story was solid with good worlbuilding unfortunately many detail was cut from LN in this animation but the audiens still watch it Some people call it villain anime, anti hero anime but the author said this series take rule strong eat the weak and leave that judge to reader ( basically it up to reader wanna see them as villain or no ), make it new feel when people read it
I saw this tears ago and I still think about this episode every time I think of overlord, it's a turning point you either stop liking the show because "Oh no, evil, me no likey" or the show just levels up tremendously from here on.
Ainz realized that they were lying because he said that 'the man' who give them permission to enter the tomb's said to them to give his regards toward "Ainz" not "Momonga", and since Ainz's old comrade wouldn't have known about him changing his original name "Momonga" into "Ainz Ooal Gown" yet, it signifies that those intruder were lying, thus Ainz laugh and then furious towards them for using his comrade to make up some lies.
I respect the way Ainz went and I like how they have done this anime. Ainz is the most amazing MC of any anime. Cause it feels like real life in a way, the good guys don't always win. Still nice video kudos.
Entoma new voice was from Arche (The girl Albedo killed) they then scattered her body parts amongst all the citizens. Also fun fact: the anime skipped the part were Arche's parents sell her sisters off as slaves to cover there debt since Arche never came back. (They eventually worked themselves to death)
Actually, if we look at it from Ainz’s perspective. It makes sense why he would hold such contempt for the worker teams. The workers were hired, because the Empire knows that they have no legal rights to anything in the tomb since Nazarick was technically located within the Kingdom’s side of the border. So the workers were knowingly and willingly breaking international laws just to rob Ainz’s home. For, as far as Ainz is concerned, nothing more than a paycheck. And they had expressed their intentions of obtaining Nazarick’s treasure no matter what stands in their way, or even if the tomb was actually someone’s home. So any guilt or pity that Ainz would’ve felt had been replaced with contempt for these shameless thieves that would risk imprisonment/death for some gold. I’m not justifying the fate that had befallen the workers, but it does makes sense why Ainz wouldn’t care given the context of his perspective.
About the fates of the 4 Workers (intruders of Nazarick) in 6th floor: - The guy and the half-elf purple hair woman are still alive, but they're still nests - The celric (Roberdyck) is brain dead According to LN, after this event, Arche's (the yellow hair girl) father keeps borrowing moneys without the ability to pay it, I remember around 100 gold coins. When Arche doesn't come back, the father sells his two daughters you see at the end as slaves to pay his debt, and they die due to overwork
Btw random fact omitted from the anime: The lovers were made as a breeding ground for the insect man's children you saw last episode. Basically the insects bred inside of them. The priest was used as a simple experiment. His mind was repeatedly altered and he was made to believed he followed a different god after every alter. They wanted to see if his belief in a different god affected his holy magic. Well deserved I'd say. Mere weak humans thought they could just walk in Nazarick and plunder.
It's not omitted the original episode that was aired had the bedroom scene and additional somewhat more darker scenes. People often forget that the clean version of episode didn't start from redo the healer.
The best description of this episode i can think of is that it’s the goblin slayer of overlord it basically decides who’s in for the long haul or who cracks like a celery
I just realized something from Albedo's reaction to Ains flipping out at 3:23. I remembered seeing comments back in season 1 that Albedo was planning to hunt down the other supreme beings because they abandoned Ainz, leaving him in Nazarick alone. So, seeing how Ainz lost his marbles due to those adventurers misappropriating his friends in their name made Albedo really displeased as it shows how much Ainz cares and yearns for his friends, which explains the stern but lack of facial expression.
In the ligh novel, just like in the anime Arche (the mage girl) dies and her sisters are sold into slavery, the author confirmed in an interview that the sisters died as slaves. In the web novel Arche survives and becomes Shalltear´s slave, later he begs Ainz to buy her sisters from slavery and they also become Shalltear´s slaves I think the other 3 adventures have the same fate in both versions of the story
Fluder Paradyne (the old wizard) isn't just getting on in his years, he's over 200 years old. He's actually nowhere near dying of old age anytime soon. His longevity is due to magic.
The twin sisters of the adventures got sold into slavery to help pay for the parents lifestyle. They died in despair wondering where their siter is. In the light novel. Also Arche in the Webnovel got turned into Shalltears pet. Shalltear trained her for "Adult Time'' play
it's probably popular because of the world building when the story and set-up is good, the result is amazing and amazing stories surpass all expectations
I love that this is based on a DnD game that the mangaka was not able to finish because of scheduling problems. The people of Nazarick was his BBEG (Big Bad Evil Guy) and he brought him to another world so that the story he made for them in DnD would continue.
That chain around ainz's neck is there to limit ainz's power, and he even didn't wear any equipments. His fight against them was to see how he can fight against a group.
I heard someone said that there's a different version of this story where Shalltear keeps the mage and a slave and sleeps with her sometime and when they found her younger siblings, she were allowed to stay with their big sister instead of being sold to slavery and die working themselves to death in a coal mine
That was for the web-novel since the fans voted for it, but the author didn’t like it so he went with this route for the actual light novel. Which is good honestly, cause this version makes a lot more sense. The web novel just comes off as a ham handed “happy” ending.
the thing about mare is, when when aqua used turn undead on them, ainz is holding him back after. you can see ainz hold his shoulder which, I missed the first time I watch it.
"Her corpse just falls from the sky" What corpse? They used *everything* from her body. Whether for experimentation, for food, or for a replacement voice for Entoma. There isn't a strand of hair, a scrap of skin, or a drop of blood left of her. As Bone Daddy said, the hunter has to use every part of his prey.
Fun fact, the two little sisters of Arche (the magic caster) became slaves because their family fell more and more into dept, got abused and then died cursing their older sister because they thought she ran aways alone leaving them behind
You know there's something funny here You see the guy in black armor who carries two shields? that person is in op3 overlord, but because he's about to die anyway so he's only seen a little behind Jernif when the scene goes on in the op3
Fun facts: the reason that Foresight fail to convince Ainz is because they said "tell Ainz my regards" remember his real name is Momonga he changed it to Ainz when he came to the new world so no one he knows from the game would ever call him Ainz also about the twin sisters well in the anime and novel they were sold as slaves by they're parents and died workings in a mine but on the web novel Archei is the only survivor and becomes Shalltear s3x slave and after a while she becomes a resident of Nazaric and gets too live in peace on the 6th floor with her two little sisters like she wanted
spoiler: just to add salt to the wound there the two sisters got sold by the parents and they two girls became slaves and died from what i heard was overworked to death
Gashokukochuuou (餓食狐蟲王) is the Area Guardian of the Large Hole in Nazarick. He is also one of the Five Worst, the top five most disgusting NCPs of the tomb, holding the title "Worst Appearance."
Although Aura is the beast tamer, those dragon here belongs to Mare. He has two dragons, which could be seen in episode 1 of this season, behind Mare during the meeting
For me this Episode changed everything. We had seen cracks opening and attitudes changing; but after this you cannot deny the path taken. ngl first and only episode I rooted for the other guys.
Arche the blonde hair girl with 2 sisters. The creator talked about how after she died her sisters were sold into slavery to help pay the family debt and how they worked to overexhaustion and died
Entoma took the voice of Arche, the one who vomited seeing Ainz' magic aura . She's the only one who got her body separated and got used for other benefits.
Ainz using Touch of Death on that dude is like him launching a Nuclear Missile to eradicate one Cockroach on the Coast of Mexico, scratch that, Ainz definitely the type of person who would purposefully launch Nuclear Missiles on a Country and when asked about it, his excuse would be "Sorry my Bad, I was tryna kill a Cockroach".
On the level of flex in the duel, Ainz didn't teleport to get to the half-elf, he stopped time. He then proceeds to calmly explain it to the priest in his speech at the end.
I’m scared to think someone thought of that
f*cking hell, my imagination went nuts as soon as i finished reading this. i hate my brain

Holy shit, that's wild
Hekkeran was lucky and died relatively quickly after just few "loads". Imina (the half elf) wasnt so lucky... Breeding bed for parasites, every orifice. Not allowed to die, her mind gave out soon enough. The priest dudes mind was completely shattered after too much mind manipulation.
Arche: "We have the adamantite adventurer Momon"
Ainz: "Oh nooo, anyways... Touch of Undeath"
"That was a bit overkill if I was just going to use paralysis"
The funny thing is, even if they weren't the same person, Momon is only meant to be watching their camp. He's not part of the dungeon crawling part of the job.
@@SnowyWolborg they know that momon was never gonna come, but it would’ve been a good attempt at bluffing, if their opponent wasn’t literally momon himself

If anybody was in a position to give them permission to enter, they'd be one of those 41 players. And these 41 players don't call him Ainz, his name is Momonga.

You guys asked why ainz's emotions was not suppressed, it actually was doing it, but every time it activated, ainz got angry again, that's why it took so long for him to really calm down. In anime they just delayed the effect because it would look weird.
You must imagine every second the light going on an off as he screams.
Nah it'd actually look cool ngl. Just repeating of the system trying to suppress his emotion yet he got angrier each time until it finally could.
Crazy thing that they didn’t include in the anime is that the priest guy mind became broken due to ainz’s experiments and he is now worshiping a rock, just a normal everyday rock you can see anywhere.

@@st2rseeker i dont remember but apparently, this is gonna be a spoiler so *SPOILER WARNING*
The Six Gods that the Slane Theocracy worships are actually players that came to the New World(the world they are in) 600 years ago and apparently players are summoned to the New World every century and some of those Gods i.e. the players, had kids and so those kids and their bloodline are called Godkins which were the people who brainwashed shalltear with a world class item called Downfall of Castle and Country but she was killed before the mind control magic was completed so she was just idly standing there.

When this episode actually first dropped it made a lot of people really dislike the show.
This was because they finally had the realization of
“Wait, we aren’t the hero’s here??”
Made watching reactions to this episode fun as hell to see.
Depends on the definition of heroes. From Nazarick's perspective, we are the heroes. Our enemies are the villains.
@@Infurnace6699 they were hired to investigate the tomb though. I don’t think they could just walk away, even with treasure
Its so refreshing being on the villains side. Like not everything is about your sad backstory to gain ultimate power to defeat the villain XD
Well... Technically Ainz and friends just defended their home from thieves and murderers.
They left huge ass treasure outside for people who were there just to get money for living.
Everyone who still went to the tomb were just greedy thieves.
TRUE, the whole reason I side with Eren on AOT.
The sisters were overworked and die. Some people say, they were sold as sex slaves - no they weren't. Just normal slaves.

@@cgaminganims7046 it was in a webnovel
For an emotion-suppressed Lich, his level of feeling can be really inconsistent.
I think the really messed up part as they were probably the nicest out of all the other thieves and they got the worst pubishment like even that dude with the elf slaves got off easy. This was pretty fucked up.

Well, he had the fortune of running into Hamesuke. If he had run into anyone else he wouldn’t had been so lucky.

All of the workers were aware that there had to people living in the tomb, because it was too clean and maintained. Yet, despite that information, their mindset was still “take what you can and kill anything that gets in your way”

I wish Arche would be a maid or something in nazarick together with her sister the parents can go to hell

- Touch of Undeath literally stops the time of a target, hence why it's considered a higher tier than Paralysis
- The swordsman's first martial art allowed him to stack martial art abilities, but caused a backlash, thus why he followed it up with Dull Pain so he could focus
- In the LN, when Imina mentions Momon, Ainz tosses Momon's helmet onto the Arena floor to prove they have no way out

The fate of the two sisters was mentioned by the author of the LN where he mentioned they were sold into slavery by their parents and died from overwork. i'll explaine why it is so popular . evil characters in other anime have either a reason or flaw that makes themact as they do . their effort is concerted so there is always an air of redemption or falling deeper . for overlord he is evil in the same way a child sees the world . nothing outside of his family and friends matters it simply doesnt hold value outside of his goals that combined with the race effects pulling him farther away from general humanity ( stated in seasen 1 ep 2 and the 1st volume of the light novel ) we see what he is doing as evil but to him its just normal he isnt the hero of his own story in his own mind like the normal villian hes just a guy tryng to secure his family while looking for others.

A little explanation as to some of the magic that is used in this world:
A majority of the New Worlders can only use magic in the 1st - 4th tier plus some Zero Tier magic (original magic spells made in the New World that aren't from the YGGDRASIL video game)
Whenever someone says "Lesser Strength" or "Lesser Dexterity" it's not a debuff, it's actually just a weak buff.
That's why when entities that are native to YGGDRASIL (Nazarick and other powerful beings) use magic they use higher tiers that have the word "Greater" in the spell.
A high level buff would be something like "Greater Strength".
I love people's realization only now that they are indeed not the on the hero's team. But personally I'm here for demon time

One important thing anime couldn't explain properly was that ainz stopped time when he went behind that girl's back, he didn't teleport.
Ainz did nothing wrong, robbers came to his house & he dealt with them accordingly.
Father of arche didn't stop buying expensive stuff and in the end he sold his 2 daughters to slavery, and they died soon from OVERWORK.
About the fates of the 4 Workers (intruders of Nazarick) in 6th floor:
- The guy and the half-elf purple hair woman are still alive, but they're still nests
- The celric (Roberdyck) is brain dead
According to LN, after this event, Arche's (the yellow hair girl) father keeps borrowing moneys without the ability to pay it, I remember around 100 gold coins. When Arche doesn't come back, the father sells his two daughters you see at the end as slaves to pay his debt, and they die due to overwork
That opening for your video tho, that is so great, jesus
4:33 when Ainz removed his ring, I felt that. That's the power of a divorce man when they see a girl said "I want to know you more"
Btw random fact omitted from the anime:
The lovers were made as a breeding ground for the insect man's children you saw last episode.
The one they were brought to was never shown, that’s a different npc
The best description of this episode i can think of is that it’s the goblin slayer of overlord it basically decides who’s in for the long haul or who cracks like a celery
That's an episode I have been waiting for
I just realized something from Albedo's reaction to Ains flipping out at 3:23.
In the web novel Arche survives and becomes Shalltear´s slave, later he begs Ainz to buy her sisters from slavery and they also become Shalltear´s slaves
I think the other 3 adventures have the same fate in both versions of the story
8:49 Its never explained in the anime but in the novel the two sisters are sold into slavery by their parents and worked to death.
Shalltear trained her for "Adult Time'' play
it's probably popular because of the world building
when the story and set-up is good, the result is amazing
and amazing stories surpass all expectations
FYI, Arche's little sisters (the two little girls before the credits) were later sold into slavery and died from overwork.
@Loz lz it limits his power in exchange of boosted XP gain.
I heard someone said that there's a different version of this story where Shalltear keeps the mage and a slave and sleeps with her sometime and when they found her younger siblings, she were allowed to stay with their big sister instead of being sold to slavery and die working themselves to death in a coal mine
Yep the readers got to vote on it, but the author didn't like the route so they changed it for the manga 🥶
@@cruzer49 web novel, the original story. The official story is as you see here
That was for the web-novel since the fans voted for it, but the author didn’t like it so he went with this route for the actual light novel. Which is good honestly, cause this version makes a lot more sense. The web novel just comes off as a ham handed “happy” ending.
Considering Shalltear, it's debatable as to whether slavery would be better
People go into your home, steal your things and lie to you. Can't really fault Ainz for that one.
So yeah, basically Albedo is a sustain-tank build succubus, if ever you're wondering.
the thing about mare is, when when aqua used turn undead on them, ainz is holding him back after. you can see ainz hold his shoulder which, I missed the first time I watch it.
Another thing left out from the novels, is that her two little sisters were sold into slavery by her parents.
"Her corpse just falls from the sky"
What corpse? They used *everything* from her body. Whether for experimentation, for food, or for a replacement voice for Entoma.
There isn't a strand of hair, a scrap of skin, or a drop of blood left of her. As Bone Daddy said, the hunter has to use every part of his prey.
Fun fact, the two little sisters of Arche (the magic caster) became slaves because their family fell more and more into dept, got abused and then died cursing their older sister because they thought she ran aways alone leaving them behind
You know there's something funny here
You see the guy in black armor who carries two shields? that person is in op3 overlord, but because he's about to die anyway so he's only seen a little behind Jernif when the scene goes on in the op3
Man. I LOVE how badass and cunning that emperor is. IF there was a way to destroy Nazarick, it'd definitely only be Jircniv that could actually do it.
The mummy - death is only the beginning.
Ainz - death is a mercy. That freed you from suffering.
spoiler:
just to add salt to the wound there the two sisters got sold by the parents and they two girls became slaves and died from what i heard was overworked to death
wow that's dark
That was one of two dragons belonging to Mare. They are around level 90. Here's the kicker - they were gacha items in the game.
Ureirika and Kuuderika were both sold into slavery by their parents to pay off their family's debts. There, the two eventually died from overwork.
Bro I'm loving every moment of your reaction videos to this show.
Ainz literaly loves Nazarick with his very being. It's the place he created with his friends, and is basically his home.
Gashokukochuuou (餓食狐蟲王) is the Area Guardian of the Large Hole in Nazarick. He is also one of the Five Worst, the top five most disgusting NCPs of the tomb, holding the title "Worst Appearance."
Yes, the Dragon is just a show.
It's refreshing to see reactors not crying to this episode.
Keep up the good work.
Such a badass moment for Aura and Mare.
TFW it's not fear that makes Arche throw up, it's motion sickness from Ainz's insane amount of MP.
Arche the blonde hair girl with 2 sisters. The creator talked about how after she died her sisters were sold into slavery to help pay the family debt and how they worked to overexhaustion and died
Fun Fact: The guy with the black armor and shield from the empire was one of the most powerful fighters in the Empire
The Priest Roberdyck stills survived after Ainz replaced his memory, because he's praise Ainz as his God so he's still living here in Nazarick.
Entoma took the voice of Arche, the one who vomited seeing Ainz' magic aura . She's the only one who got her body separated and got used for other benefits.
This episode shows us that even a small amount of greed will lead us to doom.
When the girl vomited at the sight of his magic power but he was wearing the chain that lowers all of his stats.
On the level of flex in the duel, Ainz didn't teleport to get to the half-elf, he stopped time. He then proceeds to calmly explain it to the priest in his speech at the end.
That Dragon is lvl 90 and could easily destory everyone in the castle but they are using it like a horse. Also it's Mare's pet.
8:58 fun fact the 2 little sisters of arche where sold off to a slavery by their parents for money the anime doesn't cover it but the light novel dose
Top 3 episode of the whole series for me. It a finally wake up call to everyone like yes. We are the villains of the story and I’m all here for it
The sad part is that both of her sisters were sold as slaves and were worked to death in the mines.
