    Celtics were so dominant that everyone thinks their path was easy. Nobody said anything about Denver beating an 8 seed, a 4 seed, a 7 seed and another 8 seed.

      all those teams Denver faced had their star player healthy, no one is saying anything about the seed placement when talking about the Celtics cakewalk this year

      @@csgoat968 Numerous championship teams faced teams whose star player was injured. You are straight up incorrect.
      Warriors 2015 First Round: Played New Orleans and they lost Jrue Holiday, their starting PG
      2015 Second Round: Played Memphis without their star PG Mike Conley and All-NBA first team defender Tony Allen
      2015 Conference Finals: Played Houston without their All-NBA defender PG Patrick Beverley
      2015 Finals: They played Cleveland without 2 of its all-stars in Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love
      Nobody ever whined about the 2015 Warriors
      Seeding luck is just as relevant as injury luck if the topic is "cakewalk championship runs" The reason you want to ignore this is that you don't want to acknowledge that Denver had an easy run, both with injury luck and seeding luck.

      @@pdizzle5302 No the reason I’m not saying Denver had an easy run is the same reason you had to use the 2015 Warriors in your example, the path wasn’t nearly as easy as the Celtics had it this year, I mean the fact you’re even trying to argue this when the Nuggets and Celtics BOTH played the Heat and won in 5 games but the Nuggets actually had to face Jimmy Butler and a healthy Heat team, the Celtics didn’t and again still took them the same amount of games to beat a lesser version of the team the Nuggets beat in the Finals😂 they had ANDREW NEMHARD cooking against the Celtics in the Conference Finals, the fact that ppl had to watch that as a CONFERENCE FINALS match up is embarrassing enough lolol

      @@csgoat968 The Heat were not healthy. You are just making shit up at this point. Butler was injured. Bam was injured. Oladipo and Hereo were out. I used the 2015 Warriors as one example. I could have picked 10 other examples. Before the finals, Denver supposedly had the best offensive backcourt in NBA history. Now everyone whines that the Celtics had a cakewalk. It’s pathetic.

      @@pdizzle5302 what are you smoking, Jimmy and Bam both played every single game against the Nuggets and averaged 21/5/6 and 22/12/3 respectively (on par with their career stats btw so in other words NOT INJURED) as for Herro and Oladipo the Celtics didn't have to face them either so once again, THANK YOU FOR PROVING MY POINT DUMMY😂
      and my point is you picked the Warriors and NOT THE NUGGETS, because you're a soft Celtics fan who now has to try and downplay last years winners to make this years feel more legit but you can't do that with the Nuggets because you look stupid when you put it down on paper😂

    Tatum cant win thanks to the way the sports media machine works these days. Honestly, very few players are anointed enough to not get the same treatment. He basically can just log off socials and be an allstar for the next 7-10 years and enjoy being a billionaire with 1-4 championship rings and the same level of love in Boston as Big Papi (close, at least ;) ). Not a bad legacy.

    Best move of the offseason last year was removing Smart from the equation. Jrue was the final piece they needed but getting rid of Smart’s entitlement and attitude was as important as the additions of both Jrue and KP.
    Smart had a couple of great defensive seasons but not enough to matter and I honestly believe he helped cost them a ring with his bonehead shot selection and belief that he was as valuable as JT and JB. Smart is a sixth man, at best.

    okay what about the Porzingus injury" that may make things difficult to repeat or even win a second or third chip. I think we all need to pump our breaks a bit on this team... and I'm a life long C's fan. KP made them untouchable against the Mav's. and the team is being sold are the new owners going to want to pay the tax?

    • @ThatGuy-rt4wy
      @ThatGuy-rt4wy 22 дні тому

      Even without kp they swept through all of the playoff teams in the east only losing two games. Kp is very valuable to this team but they can still dominate without him

    • @dustindussault2864
      @dustindussault2864 22 дні тому

      @@ThatGuy-rt4wy yes but I'm looking at Philly with PG3 and while I think Emid is a walking choke job. Maxi still scares me and PG3 only makes that team better. and I think there is a distinct possibility Butler may join after this season... plus I think the pacers will get better too. the pacers may have been a swept but those games where close. don't get me wrong we should get better too, but how much better can you actually get when your third option and defensive anchor can't play due to injury? or when he does come back how fast will he be? in the finals before the injury he was flying for a big man after words I'd describe him as immobile. Plus we played the Mav's not the Nugget's, not the T-wolves, not the Thunder... The Mav's A team with CRYME IRVING a player that is now cursed. He will have the yips every time in Boston from now on... the fans are definitely in his head and he can't keep us out of his mouth either... so I don't see that trend not continuing. I'm just saying Philly will be better, I think OKC got better, the Mav's might have gotten better(on paper any way), and I think the Pacer's will be better because I think they just will get better as they age and mature.(still very young) Also the T-wolves got better by getting rid of Gobert and getting Randell in return.(not sure what the Knicks are doing I legit though if Randell was heathly they would have beaten the Pacers easy and would have given the C's a good run if not won.) I'm not saying there won't be a dynasty... what I'm saying is I don't think they are repeating this year.... maybe I'm wrong and hell I hope I am. plus Al's age plus Jrue's age plus KP injury that honestly is so rare I almost consider it career ending potentially... I don't know man I'm just trying to be real as a Celtics fan... plus all the best players hate us as fans so good luck getting more help for JB and JT when the times comes.... oh and wait a second the owners are selling the team... is the new owner going to want to pay all that money in salary taxes? I don't know...
