Since I was a newer collector I realized these stamps with "Secours" overprints and Vichy stamps were without
spots in most of my Scotts Internationals. So I kept them anyway on blank pages. Great to get the additional interesting background on them from your presentation.

That’s great that you have some of the Secours overprints! And good thinking to save those Vichy stamps not in your Scott. I’m glad Roger’s presentation helped give you some more historical context for you. Happy collecting.

7 years of pure evil 1939-1945. I just can't imagine the horrors of what happened. Great conversation and a little bit of history. greetings from a philatelist from Greece.

The period of 1939-1945 indeed marks a profoundly dark chapter in history, with the Vichy regime symbolizing a complex interplay of power, collaboration, and resistance during World War II. Roger was aiming to connect the historical context to the philatelic evidence of that era. And hello from Greece! Allan will be so excited to hear we have a viewer from one of his favorite areas to collect!!!
