  • first real shoot with the BlackMagic Micro Cinema Camera Original... and it was also my first time trying out the cheap Fujian CCTV 35mm lens, which apparently is messed up. The lens didn't focus to infinity and acted like a macro... so I just reacted accordingly and shot lots of closeups.
shot at Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge in Portland, OR
camera: BlackMagic Micro Cinema Camera G1
lens: Fujian CCTV 35mm f/1.7 (not focusing to infinity)
ND: K&F Concept 37mm Variable ND Filter
shot at 60 fps, slowed to 24 fps in post
    color correction in Davinci Resolve
    music by Location Services
    filmed on June 16, 2024

Are you using a cheap c mount adapter ? If yes, i had the same issue with some c mount lenses. Fixed that with the ''fotodios'' c to m4/3 (8$) which goes deeper and Closer to the sensor.
    Lovely greeny vibes.

I’ve got to try it out on my OG before I’m sure… haven’t had a problem with that adapter with other C mount lenses on the OG or the Micro, so not sure. I think I’ve been using the fotodios, but I’ll double-check

Hey guess what? You were 100% right! The fotodios adapter solved the problem. What’s weird is the lens worked correctly with any adapter on the OG, but needed the fotodios to work correctly on the Micro. 🤷‍♂️

@@bryanhiltner3552 glad for you. I have both fotodiox and non brand. I need both of them so keep the other one because you never know ;)
