This is a spin-off of Titanic: Honor and Glory, which allows you to explore and incredibly realistic recreation of the Titanic. There's a LOT to see and there are some fun little Easter eggs too. The current build doesn't have any audio, so I've added a soundtrack and background sound myself (so you can blame me if you don't like the music! :)
Also, I've tried to keep a medium speed throughout, but if the walkthrough is too fast or too slow for you then I'd recommend altering the playback speed (going as low as 0.65 doesn't take too bad a frame-rate hit)
What you added was great and really gives atmosphere!👍👍
It was wonderful . You at the helm taking us on literal walkthrough with you. I was visually shook And totally emersed. A magnificent structure constructed by Man . The attention to detail was glorious. The emerald Greens, Royal Blues , Brilliant Reds , And Rich Purples were awesome. Stunning beautiful. The music was perfect. The voices of yesterday were a bittersweet reminder of what was . "I' ll have the red wine Corned Beef , Vegetables, And Dumplings." ....😊 . The Ivy was lovely. You are truly in every game . Thanks again and again Beta .We appreciate you Bobbert .🙂
@@0annonymous The speed's perfect, but if you don't like it, just change it in the playback settings (0.25 or 0.5)
It's because you are in the poor people's quarters :) In the rich folk's quarters there is not only music played by the orchestra, but jaegerbomb cough syrup (alcohol, cocaine, chloroform, cannabis, morphine mix) in the cabinets that makes you hear voices, too!
@@0annonymous Uhh, you can download the game in the description. Go at your pace and look at everything you want to as much as you want to when you do.
when a free to play game gives you a better titanic experience than a certain 200k ticket
And most importantly a repeatable one!
yeah but but muh conspicuous consumption!
But that ticket can dive you right to the bottom of Titanic!

@@theneonpython a once in life experience! you don't get to experience a second time
You walk aboard something like this in the year 1912 and you truly understand why such a vessel could be considered unsinkable.
Yeah, the craftsmanship and the sheer enormity of it is just insane.
Depends how gullible you are.
@@DVincentWin all fairness, a few hundreds ago, though not far, science developed exponentially.
@@DVincentWFor the time it was top notch
The problem is it was 1912 and as much as people tried they couldn’t make a ship that can survive 3 compartments flooding that can also serve as a transatlantic oceanliner
I mean, it kinda was unsinkable, as long as you don't crash it lol, it probably would fare very well against even the nastiest storms
Wow, this really shows how luxurious the Titanic was. The craftmanship of everything is exquisite. The carpet, the wall trim, the furniture...
Even the doors are a masterpiece of woodworking. I can easily imagine the joy of just touching one. Maybe even laying it down flat and lying on it. And there would *definitely be enough room for another person to also lay down on it alongside me.*
James Cameron scientifically proved that it wouldn't fit two people. You should look it up, it's pretty interesting.
The guy got tired of hearing about that shit.
@@SmokeymcJoint420 - Yes, I know. But it's still a meme for a good reason. Because when the vast majority of people misestimate something like that, then you can't really blame them for being wrong. If he didn't want to hear it, then he should have used a slightly smaller door in the film.
@@SmokeymcJoint420didnt myth busters prove they could both go on the door if they teid the life jacket underneath it
@@SmokeymcJoint420 and Myhbusters proved him wrong
Its not about surface area, it’s about buoyancy. They could have both fit on the panel, but the combined weight would’ve submerged it and they both would have frozen to death in the water. Rose was just light enough on her own that the plank could keep her afloat above the water.
Also, the plank is not a “door” it’s actually a piece of the ornate carved panel over the entrance to the first class Lounge. You can get a glimpse of it in the video at 20:36
Objectively I know this is a very fallible, destructible ship, but looking at it like this it feels so unbelievably massive that it feels just as likely to sink as a physical island. Inside you forget it's even a boat, it just feels like a massive hotel, maybe with a good view of the sea.
Ik this may seem weird but I wanna touch the tile and lay on it
Britannic and Titanic were incredibly well built machines that were doomed by bad luck. The Olympic proved just how solid those ships were when she rammed a U boat and sank it.
The Titanic had a great design it just got struck by unfortunate circumstances. There is no ship that is unsinkable. Not back then not now and not in the future.
@@LakeHowellDigitalVideo Gonna be pendantic here. Pretty sure the Olympic's propeller caused the u-boat to sink by slicing it's hull. Tho it did run head on into the Nantucket lightship and sank it.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate developers hard work and dedication for making this ship come to life once more. The amount of detail from the rooms, halls, decks & even writing on PAPER! Honestly, I'm just impressed with everything.
What makes me mad is that we had a perfect copy of the Titanic, her sister-ship the Olympic but they decided to destroy it instead of repurposing it as a museum 🙄
@@_blank-_almost identical give or take a few things. I agree
I've always wondered how much of the model is a direct recreation and how much is their imagination, because I doubt there can be enough reference for all the details.
@@XTad1You would be surprised. Since the Titanic and her sister ship the Olympic were basically exactly the same, they were able to use what they knew about the Olympic to fill in a lot of the gaps. That, and over 100 years of research, can do wonders. If I had to guess, I’d honestly say that this recreation probably has a 99.9% accuracy.
@@Coryo61827 Really? I know they were sister ships but I still can't imagine there are photographs/blueprints/descriptions etc. detailed enough to provide data for all those ornaments and decorations (walls, frames, upholstery etc.) especially in the first class, how many screws or rivets were in that hidden corner of a coal bunker...
Watching this made me feel genuinely sad, so much people were living their lives in something who should be special. The music is on point also 🙏.
Why couldn't these rich guys play this game instead of just going under the water to see it for real.
@@mikecampos1193 that's good point!
Something about this ship makes me want to build a structurally unsafe submarine so that I can explore it
Careful, I hear they might have problems.

When a UA-cam comment is the highlight of your entire life
Skipping parts of the video, I notice audible sound of people despite being the only person there. It give a ghostly feeling that people are there just on a different room only to realize you are the only person there.
Yes. At times it reminded me of the shining .
You think Danny should go see a doctor?
It sounds like old pirates talking or someone from a pub. 😂
Got to see the whole Titanic from the comfort of my bedroom and didn't even have to get crushed in a submarine at 13000ft beneath the ocean. What a time to be alive.
Haunting. there are exact points on these floors where people saw their family's faces for the last time. something about loss is so very human.
For some reason, the one spot on the Titanic I find the most haunting is the A Deck starboard side promenade, the midpoint where the enclosed area ends and the stanchions begin.
This will surely be a TITANic experience! Can't wait to submerge myself in it!
Stop flooding this comment section with your abyssally bad puns!
@@KwadDamyj It would cost 250k for me to do that

The old intro returns! I always enjoyed it's brevity.
Now you can finally explore the titanic without the risk of dying miles below sea level!
i was not trying to explore : i searched for c.s.i. : it was sabotage and not iceberg.
This is probably the most realistic recreation of Titanic I've seen so far. I've noticed the lighting now looks more natural to how our eyes would see as if we were actually there.
Switching from very bright scenes during daylight looking outside the windows at 2:23, and then looking back inside at the first class dining room is very similar to how our eyes would adjust. It's incredible how accurate it all looks now.
this is stunning, beautiful work! may all the souls rest in peace
She was such a beautiful ship inside and out. I'm happy this game can let us peek inside of what it looked like.
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone involved in bringing this project to fruition; and on a more broader scale everyone involved in bringing any large project to fruition. Effort has value!
The work is just amazing. This boat was certainly the most beautiful one ever. Never forget this tragedy. May those poor people rest in peace forever. Stop going to this wreck this is tomb for almosy 1500 souls!
Reminds me so much of Titanic: Adventure Out Of Time. I remember as a lil kid being creeped out by it but i loved being able to roam about the ship, even if it wasnt on the same level as this!
That game was def spooky on purpose and I loved it
I'm a little late to that party, having only picked up that game in the last week or so. Yes, well the graphics are not even comparable, and the model is not entirely accurate in places, nor can you access all the parts of the ship. Technicially speaking, massively outdated but, still, it's a stellar game still, nonetheless.
Did you notice the nod to that game at the beginning with the steamer trunk with the gramophone inside?
@@kylej2569 I missed that! Super cool detail
@@kylej2569 I did, it was like a deja-vu moment. Then, at the purser's office, there was a note about a cuff link having been found in the reception too.
I wish Olympic was kept without scarping it away ..for generations to observe and experience titanic alike beauty ship.
Scraping Olympic was a sin
The last sister now gone😞. Goodbye Old Reliable
Now imagine how great it would be to have this with some sort of commentary, like in a museum, where a voice would tell you about everything you see, the history, the background, the story behind every location. It would be so awesome to have any commentary. There is so much work put into creation of this model, that it is a big pity, that people would just open it and wander aimlessly aroun, without having the knowledge of what they are exactly looking at. Such a small detail in the beginning like the menu card on the table gives me chills, and can be so easily missed by a person who would not even know that this card may be as accurate as it can get. Mindblowing what else could be done with this model.
Don't know if anyone on YT has done that, going through this model and narrated it. Definitely a good idea, though.
This was THE BEST RECREATION I’VE EVER SEEN! Much better than the stock version of Titanic: Honor & Glory. On behalf of history lovers everywhere, I want to THANK YOU for taking the time to create & post this.
Only improvement would be if you subtitled the name of each area of the ship, room or restaurant on screen as you pass through it. A moving map in the corner showing us exactly where in the ship we are might also be interesting.
This is made by the same people who made honor and glory..
it feels messed up to me that I can enjoy this spot on re creation of the titanic safely and be amazed with this through and through than deep dive to the wreckage in pitch black murky water peering out a small hole..
Much better than that.
Absolutely magnificent. You have truly brought Titanic back to life and in doing so have transported the viewer back in time to 1912. Assuming your choice of fabrics and materials is true to the original, the first class state rooms are extraordinarily luxurious and stylish. I would not have liked to travel on Titanic, but her sister ship, the Olympic, must have been a joy to sail on. Thank you to the entire team responsible for this. An amazing achievement.
Amazing. Also, with no reflection in the mirror, it feels as though a ghost of the Titanic is giving us the tour
This is blinking incredible, as someone who has been facinatied by titanic (see pfp) since i was 5 this is absolutely amazing to see. Also loving the liminal vibe
Yeah, I guess it does have a liminal vibe! I really love this project, you can tell the amount of work the devs have put into it. A real labor of love.
@@AlphaBetaGamer also I must say, hats off to you on sound design, it is also very well done and highly immersive.
Thanks very much! I figured it would be a good way to make it feel like you're not all alone on that huge ship. :)
Imagine how beautiful it is in real life. Totally beautiful like a piece of art. It's so sad that Titanic end up to be break apart and sink down below.
It had to have been so shocking and unbelieveable for the people on the Titanic that such a splendid luxurious ship was sinking.
This is a great video you made. I can truly imagine being there.
What a magnificent majestic ship my jaw droped, It's so sad that titanic is all the way at the bottom of the ocean, in complete darkness and oblivion..
Ok, great level design. Now waiting for the devs to put the monsters in.
And treasure chests with all the loot...
Haha, there is actually a treasure chest in it!
There is a bug. I can't equip any of the loot past the war grave arc of the story. I resurface with it on and get immediately shot at by the coast guard...
Pretty amazing. This is a huge upgrade on the 1996 Titanic Adventure replica.
Pretty impressive. Now we can visit the ship without going for a chilling dive.
What a fabulous ship it was, especially considering the era in which it was built. It was a marvel of it's time. I could almost describe it as a floating palace. It's really incredible that so much detail has gone into Project 401. I wonder how some of the detail was collected vs. made-up, considering there are probably not enough photos of the actual Titanic to go on, and probably many of the details could only be ascertained by visiting the sunken ship on the ocean floor. Perhaps there are other sources too that were compiled together to recreate all of this as well. I'm just in awe of the amount of effort that must have gone into building this digital model of the ship. This video built from Project 401 is probably the best one I've seen so far.
The most unrealistic aspect of this simulation is that you get off on the dock and not at the bottom of the ocean.
In fact this happened multiple times in the various sea trials from dock to dock before her official ill fated maiden voyage.
Fish food!
I never knew I would be able to actually (sort of) picture the interior of the Titanic in real life...this is awesome :D
Can't wait for the Oceangate DLC where you can explore it in its aftermath.
Perfect Timing!
Gaming market is gonna implode with this release.
That comment is gonna cost ya 250K, sir.
The fact that billionaires don't care for indie games is becoming their main weakness, and I'm hoping it gets exploited a lot more.
What a charming virtual tour of the Titanic. My only criticism is to add more compositions to the soundtrack, maybe a different one for each area to suit the theme of each class.
currently there’s no audio at all, ABG added it in post. great idea tho!
Perfect timing! Not the guys from the exploded submarine, you.
Titanic: Honor and Glory, which Project 401 is a standalone spin-off and demonstration of, will seek to present the history of the Titanic as a narrative, taking you from it construction to is destruction. As such, you'll get to experience it's sinking first-hand once the project is complete, and as part of a much earlier stage of development the devs created a demo of the C-Deck level of the Grand Staircase as it was flooding with water. It's a much rougher experience than Project 401, lacking some of the exquisite and highly accurate details of that demo and being incredibly limited in scale, but that hasn't stopped it from being the single most haunting experience I have ever had in a video game or any other interactive media.
You can almost feel the crushing hopelessness as the icy water rises to meet you, and every heaving shudder of the ship or flicker of the lights plunging you into momentary darkness is like watching something die with you in it. A living coffin. As if your house was alive but suddenly came to find itself slowly falling in on you, like a rotting corpse in the midday sun. Something that should feels so safe and ironclad being betrayed by its very nature, betraying your trust in it in turn. Shelter made a tomb.
Have y'all ever had deja vu watching something and it all seems so familiar and you have a tug in your core that you know you've been here before?
Well, they lied about Titanic being unsinkable. Pretty sure I saw a lot of sinks in there...
Bravo. This is the only sinking joke I will encourage.
Wouldn't want to sink to other people's level now, would we?
White Star line never made the official claim. They marketed the ship as being luxurious and reliable not unsinkable. The person who made the unofficial claim was Philip Franklin (vice president of White Star headquarters in NY) when trying to assure loved ones and family members of passengers everything was fine before actual news of what happened got around (so after the disaster not before). This was the same time when newspapers trying to jump on the story before evidence stated that Titanic had still been afloat and making its way to NY with minor damage.
They marketed it as any other shipping company, described as practically unsinkable, or unsinkable as they possible.
How the f did they build this in 1910 in only 2 years with this high attention to detail.. Its a shame nowadays ships don’t have pretty walls like these made from wood..
It’s so sad it sank on its first voyage😢
Btw great job to Titanic Honor and Glory team
Its eerie to see and explore this ship in the middle of the ocean without a single soul on board. 😬
ABG lowkey trolling the Titan by using a control pad to explore the Titanic. 😂
I'd love to see it in vr. Experiencing the sinking in real-time would be cool too. There are some incredible real-time sinking videos on youtube.
Yeah, when Titanic: Honor and Glory (the game this is a spin-off of) releases you'll be able to play through the game as the ship sinks in real time. I think it might melt a few graphics cards though! :)
@@AlphaBetaGamerplease play it or a demo, that sounds incredible
I like the little nods to the "Titanic: Adventure Out of Time" computer game from the 90s. (like the cufflink note at 10:06) I loved that game as a young teen.

This might just be the most ambitious creative project I've heard of in my adult life. Truly stunning work. I wish my PC could run it.
This will make me *implode* with excitement!
Nothing like a good pop! Under the sea.
Brilliant simulation credit to the team of programmers, researchers and graphics designers, an historical work of art.
The music gives it a room escape vibe. Phenomenal work on the ambient sound!
Impressive............. now turn it into a jumpscare horror game. Also looking at it virtually is certainly better than drowning in a submarine lol
It feels majestic yet haunting at the same time…

Magnificent, astonishing, feels like a travel back in time. Thank you! for making it possible!
Best of all, I can play this breathing all this oxygen! Mmm mmm! Delicious oxygen!
This is really cool and I can see that the developers put a lot of time and love into this. I'd love to see something similar with other great ships. Maybe the Great Eastern or the Olympic and Britannic during wartime
Yeah, I love it. These devs actually released a game a game about the Britannic, you get to see it before and after the war time renovations. You can check out a gameplay video here: ua-cam.com/video/09pkIw8qFYg/v-deo.html
Now why would you get in a big destructible tin can and subjuct it to crushing hydraulic pressure when you could just do this?
Because I paid 250K for it, that's why!
i interacted very briefly with the Titanic H&G team several years back. glad to see they've managed to move it along and its not dead in the water ;)

This ship is gorgeous better looking than most of our homes 😅
The ship was beautiful although I can do without all the tight spaces between the cabins. (I'm claustrophobic) Ik it's a 1912 ship but still
They ought to show this in museums, it's so good!
What a fantastic
,informative video !!
Thank you so much for sharing it,here on UA-cam !!
One of the most fascinating thing about the Titanic for me is the fact that the ship used to be a testament to one of humanity's greatest architectural achievements; only now to lay rotting at the bottom of the sea 111 years later.
Don't. Fuck. With. Nature.
Tell that to OceanGate.

Great job in recreating it.. makes you appreciate what was lost in a relative instant!
This is such a fantastic tour, alot more details than other updates. Nice to see the cabin from the game Titanic,Out of Time. I still have the dvd version of that game.💕
Can I control this game with a 20 dollar logitech gamepad? Ideally while sealed inside of a metal tube with one door that cannot be opened from the inside?
We can find an old fridge at the junkyard, and probably a whole stack of 3rd party joysticks complete with analogue drift.
Yes, but you can only play it once.
This is good, better than going down with a sub...that reminds me...this but for the sub???
The music and effects were so well done I thought it was the official ones! This is an impressive recreation, I didn't know they even had a surgeon and gym! But it's also very sad when I remember what happened.
Then you might be surprised to learn that the Titanic also had a padded room to house unstable patients, located not far from the Surgeon's quarters. Nearly across from the Surgeon's quarters is a door, leading to a short flight of stairs heading down a level. This leads into a short "c"-shaped section of hallway, and in the section nearest the stairwell is the padded room. It's only just big enough to house a single person, and with it's unpadded floor probably wouldn't be very comfortable to stay in for long. Lucky that it never had to be used...
Back in Titanic’s day, doctors aboard ship (British ships) were still referred to as surgeons. The “surgeon” on Titanic didn’t actually perform surgical operations, you would need a special hospital on land for that. He was more of a general practitioner who did check ups and prescribed basic medications.
Hopefully they will so do Titan, Project 404.
Thanks a lot for the tour 😊
This was really well done. What a fascinating ship.
20:58 I expected you to turn around and Buick Riviera would be sitting at a table, ready to play blackjack with the player.

There's an early version of this where the narrator repeatedly talks about his cuckold fetish. I am not joking.
