Its crazy how they used real wood and real steel for the model, which leaves me wondering... does it float?
It's about the only thing this model has in common with the real Titanic - it doesn't float either... 😊 it's made of high grade aluminium and held together with 55 000+ pop rivets - which is one third the weight of steel sheets - so it's actually lighter than one thinks.
@@tintanicchannel You need to ballast it with the engine and boiler machinery, coal, and cargo, then it'll float properly

Questo è esattamente il punto. Il modello è stato costruito per essere sproporzionato di proposito per riflettere un'opera d'arte astratta. Anche il nome è stato cambiato. È stato costruito a mano e le imperfezioni lo rendono perfetto - per questo motivo, non dimenticherai mai questo modello.

@@Lodovico-cy2kz Molte persone fraintendono del tutto il concetto. Le persone sono così abituate a vedere modelli perfettamente lavorati con ogni rivetto e tavola del ponte e ringhiera in atto. "TINTANIC" è un'opera d'arte astratta in stile cartone animato appositamente progettata per contrastare la perfezione. Spero che ti innamori di questo modello.

thats so cool but could you repaint the funnels as more of a white star buff color
Thank you for the compliment. The funnels are gold on purpose to be another breakaway feature which separates the "TINTANIC" from the original design. When Bryan Potgieter *(co-founder of TITANIC SOCIETY SOUTH AFRICA) saw it for the first time, he commented "I can forgive you any inaccuracies - but gold funnels.. how bling!" 😜
"TINTANIC" funnels have now been changed frok gold to closer to the White Star buff shade.

Thanks Jonathan - at one point during construction - yes it was in my living room. Since then the "TINTANIC" has been moved more than 16 times into various shopping malls across the country.😜

More than 4000 interior rooms have been constructed on 9 different deck levels. They will be decorated over the coming years. Soon you will be able to own a part of the "TINTANIC" with your very own deed of ownership and be added to the passenger list!
Wow. I assume you have some count on total rivets inserted in the hull plates?
Roughly more than 55 000 real pop rivets individually inserted. #Connect.Co originally agreed to a round total of 100 000, but the remainder goes into the keel below the waterline - which will happen much later.
you forgot the yellow line
Thank you for noticing - although the yellow *(gold) line has been added in 2019 at South Coast Mall. Thousands of details are still to be added throughout the decoration process.😁
can we seeit float on water?
2:45 why are there pink parts ? where these painted after this shot in the correct color ?
That's wood primer, the undercoat which allows the white gloss paint to stick to the structure. The whole ship must be painted pink 💗 to be painted brilliant white.

90% of all interior rooms according to real layouts have been provided for.

It took 3 years to build... She is still a work in progress

Thank you for asking - the original prototypes were always built from cardboard. There were 18 prototypes in total prior to this one - all sunk. The largest cardboard model stretched more than 6 meters long!

Why not any new videos?
I've actually taken videos down off UA-cam, because although it is a great public platform, fine print of UA-cam suggests that one loses considerable control over content copyright and usage. Most new content is shared privately in "TINTANIC" CLUB on our private Facebook Group.
