I didn't know how people could listen to music sorted by artists, but I'm actually so deep into the KIRA rabbithole I finally get it. I'm not completely in love with every song but there are so many songs I love it's insane.
I can't really say because I have different picks on different days (definitely more than 3 of his songs). Off the top of my head I will always click on Ladylike, Burn me Down and GETCHA if they show up recommended. MONSTER and Machine Gun are really good too (but I've listened to them a bit too much already). Piece of Art is also really amazing. I also love KIRA's covers of ECHO and AGAIN, especially AGAIN sounds sooooo fresh. From his newer works I especially enjoy i DO what i WANT and 4BLOOD. Basically, everything is good.

i think i was wrong about piece of art its not a song about suffocating love and the obsession to possess someone else its a song about narcissistic delusion i took a closer look at the music video and realized shes not painting anyone in a good light everyone's decapitated or killed in some other way and the green dress is torn and dirty someone hurt her really badly and now she's gone insane she snapped, and started to think that she was better than everyone else she started hating those around her which is why all the paintings show brutal depictions of others she thinks shes too good for everyone else when she says "everybody wants a piece of you" she's talking to herself and fooling herself into thinking that everyone wants her even though in reality they realize shes gone off the deep end all the lines in the song are her talking to herself, reassuring her that shes such a beautiful person the line "you are everything i need" (spoken to herself) is symbolic of how shes given up on everyone else and she wears a blindfold so that she can ignore the world around her so no one shatters her illusion it also explains the sickening, slow pace of the song too - its not attraction, it's a kind of burning misanthropy because shes choosing to hold onto her anger and direct it at everyone around her

I love this song. I genuinely wish I felt this way about myself. The creators of this music has just such a magical, technical feel. I don't know why, but the music means so much to me.
I have a theory about the music video, the fact that she Is blindfolded and all the art around her is messy, to me it's symbolic of her being blind to his faults. She cant see the art so she doesn't know the quality of it. To me it seems like maybe he isn't the best person for her to be around but she loves him so she sticks around even though she may not be too happy.
Well, I mean. In the background, you can clearly see paintings of decapitated heads and paintings with faces scribbled out. I believe this song has a darker tone than can be heard on the surface. Perhaps, it's about a yandere? Or somebody who took love too far?
Flandre Scarlet Yeah, I'm getting the vibe that "I want to call you mine" is a little more literal than it would appear. The song's tone overall is more befitting of a sad, scary, or bittersweet song than the lyrics seem to portray. The visuals reflect this in the latter half. If I had to guess, I'd say the painter saw someone they immediately fell in love with and tried to paint them. Each time, they messed up and crossed out what they made mistakes in, hence why some are fully crossed out and others aren't. They began becoming obsessive and started thinking of the person as an artistic interest instead of a person, painting dark imagery like the red paint bucket representing decapitation in the person's clothes. This escalated to the point where they captured the person, trying to get any opportunity to paint from reference. The person resisted and wound up dying, hence why no perfect picture exists. The artist figured they could make paintings representing the person instead, like the red paint decapitation they painted before, and used the subject's blood and body (shown in the handprints on the wall) to make new pictures, but still nothing looked good. The artist gave up when the blood dried to the sickening brownish-black hue seen in the end. Nothing was left of the subject and nothing was gained. But that's just my interptetation of the story.
Now that I'm thinking about it, the allusions to the paintings' subject being kidnapped by the singer are all over the place. "I want to call you mine," "If you want to come with me," and "You're so captivating," all use phrases that allude to this and the handprints in the back of the image support this considering how all the paintings seem to relate back to the subject. The painting at the bottom right seems to be an image of a date. They're sitting at a table together and there are roses around the subject. This could show how the singer coaxed the subject into being captured. This may be going a bit far with the assumptions, but if the subject did try to escape, that implies a struggle before his death. That could be what caused the handprints and the torn canvases. After all, the singer crossed out mistakes, she's unlikely to have broken that pattern and torn them herself. If you notice, the torn canvases on the left have no red marks. The one on the far right does. If he attempted to escape but was cornered and tore paintings in desperation, he would then run to the center of the painting wall before getting injured. Then, he would attempt to feel or plug the wound before resting on the wall, leaving bloody handprints. He makes another break for it, kicks in the painting on the floor, puts his hand on the painting above it and getting blood on it, then once again gets cornered. He claws at the large canvas and soaks it in blood in the process. After that, his fate is unknown.

I think the dark tone of the song, the torn paintings in the background, and the fact that Gumi is blindfolded in a song that deals mostly about looks all point to the same thing: She is being sarcastic. The person she's singing to is crazy full of himself and she hates him.
I have a theory about this song ... the girl (GUMI) wants to capture the "perfection" of that person she met ... or saw, so that's why she says it's a piece of art, something phenomenal / hypnotic / just the type that you need / the perfect design ... and that everyone will want a bit of it, that's why in a video scene you see that it is stained with something red (blood according to me) since I literally use it to create a "piece of art "as she says.

I have a theory about the music video, the fact that she Is blindfolded and all the art around her is messy, to me it's symbolic of her being blind to his faults. She cant see the art so she doesn't know the quality of it. To me it seems like maybe he isn't the best person for her to be around but she loves him so she sticks around even though she may not be too happy.

Well, I mean. In the background, you can clearly see paintings of decapitated heads and paintings with faces scribbled out. I believe this song has a darker tone than can be heard on the surface. Perhaps, it's about a yandere? Or somebody who took love too far?
Flandre Scarlet Yeah, I'm getting the vibe that "I want to call you mine" is a little more literal than it would appear. The song's tone overall is more befitting of a sad, scary, or bittersweet song than the lyrics seem to portray. The visuals reflect this in the latter half.
If I had to guess, I'd say the painter saw someone they immediately fell in love with and tried to paint them. Each time, they messed up and crossed out what they made mistakes in, hence why some are fully crossed out and others aren't. They began becoming obsessive and started thinking of the person as an artistic interest instead of a person, painting dark imagery like the red paint bucket representing decapitation in the person's clothes. This escalated to the point where they captured the person, trying to get any opportunity to paint from reference. The person resisted and wound up dying, hence why no perfect picture exists. The artist figured they could make paintings representing the person instead, like the red paint decapitation they painted before, and used the subject's blood and body (shown in the handprints on the wall) to make new pictures, but still nothing looked good. The artist gave up when the blood dried to the sickening brownish-black hue seen in the end. Nothing was left of the subject and nothing was gained. But that's just my interptetation of the story.

Now that I'm thinking about it, the allusions to the paintings' subject being kidnapped by the singer are all over the place. "I want to call you mine," "If you want to come with me," and "You're so captivating," all use phrases that allude to this and the handprints in the back of the image support this considering how all the paintings seem to relate back to the subject.
The painting at the bottom right seems to be an image of a date. They're sitting at a table together and there are roses around the subject. This could show how the singer coaxed the subject into being captured.
This may be going a bit far with the assumptions, but if the subject did try to escape, that implies a struggle before his death. That could be what caused the handprints and the torn canvases. After all, the singer crossed out mistakes, she's unlikely to have broken that pattern and torn them herself. If you notice, the torn canvases on the left have no red marks. The one on the far right does. If he attempted to escape but was cornered and tore paintings in desperation, he would then run to the center of the painting wall before getting injured. Then, he would attempt to feel or plug the wound before resting on the wall, leaving bloody handprints. He makes another break for it, kicks in the painting on the floor, puts his hand on the painting above it and getting blood on it, then once again gets cornered. He claws at the large canvas and soaks it in blood in the process. After that, his fate is unknown.

I think the dark tone of the song, the torn paintings in the background, and the fact that Gumi is blindfolded in a song that deals mostly about looks all point to the same thing: She is being sarcastic. The person she's singing to is crazy full of himself and she hates him.

I have a theory about this song ... the girl (GUMI) wants to capture the "perfection" of that person she met ... or saw, so that's why she says it's a piece of art, something phenomenal / hypnotic / just the type that you need / the perfect design ... and that everyone will want a bit of it, that's why in a video scene you see that it is stained with something red (blood according to me) since I literally use it to create a "piece of art "as she says.
