You can find Filipinos singing everywhere in the malls, in the streets, in the households etc. Those Filipino singers were not given a chance to be in the big stage and become a recording stars but still singing during drinking sessions and special occasions.

Filipinos, indonesians, and mexicans are real good singers. In runs in the genes perhaps since we were taught early to serenade our loveones. Also most of us grow in singing tribal songs and are part of ceremonial singing cause most of us belonged to some tribe. Example, my grandmother who is a part of siyamal people of southern Philippines sing in a different tone you would mistaken as hindu or indonesian or arab dialect if youre not familiar of the dialect (the singer of dayang dayang came from our tribe)

Thank you for watching. These scenes are very common in the Philippines. You are ridiculed if you cant sing in a social gathering. You are expected to rise to the occasion. And so we practice at home. Most people have karaoke machines at home. I agree it is a waste not to give a chance to shine for these talents. Hopefully talent scouts out there notice and discover these raw talents.
That's the sad reality here. The true singer who can sing effortless don't have the chance to be in music industry.
This is a typical Filipino weekend scene, no work, lots of singing, and lots of drinking, it happens to most neighborhoods here, and everybody loves it! Wow, I thought the second video was spectacular but then the 3rd video comes on and a dude hits the high notes effortlessly, then drags on a cigarette...insane! Not to mention this song was a song originally sung by a female singer! I'm Filipino but these singers just blew my mind. Smiling from ear to ear now....
