The foam ball is used to make the atlas stone lighter. This is likely a 22 inch diameter Slater stone which if all concrete will be about 400 lbs. The ball in the middle actually helps reduce the weight. Slater's Hardware makes stone molds and they are different diameter. Bigger diameter=heavier stone. They use the ball to remove some of the space concrete would be. Brian Alsruhe has a good video making one and adding a coffee can of solid lead to increase weight. Rogue Fitness shows them making the Manhood Stone Brian Shaw lifted in the 2017 Arnold Classic. Just in case anyone cares. Shaw's stone was 560 lbs and he tossed it like it was a toy.
Probably about the same that the first .50 round did. The first .50 is the only thing that really started to damage the structural integrity. If the second round had hit the same spot or angle as the first, it would have continued damaging along the same existing fractures and very likely have caused it to break apart. But because it hit in an area that didn't have those fractures, it created a new pattern of fractures, and just slightly weakened the existing fractures.
Def a good one Scott. Thought for sure the 2nd bmg shot would break it up. Theres a reason this video has 12 MILLION freakin views... good job man. Happy for ya

it's not really that impressive. pretty big target, at a pretty short range. anyone with a proper stance and a few times at a firing range can do that
When he slowed down the first .50 BMG it kind of sounded like when you turned on your ps2 😂
Brian Shaw is the man!
@@KentuckyBallistics I do like Shaw but Thor is the man.
I'd like to see what that last round would have done on a fresh stone.
Gone: reduced to atoms
Probably about the same that the first .50 round did.
The first .50 is the only thing that really started to damage the structural integrity. If the second round had hit the same spot or angle as the first, it would have continued damaging along the same existing fractures and very likely have caused it to break apart. But because it hit in an area that didn't have those fractures, it created a new pattern of fractures, and just slightly weakened the existing fractures.
"Get this off me?"
T-rex: No no no
“I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little nervous” ….. prophetic words with that serbu
me: you need a jackhammer to break that
This guy: hold my beer
Jimmy Parker hold my 50.cal
You are a legend man..... I love how accurate you are with those shots...
In mother Russia cement ball shoot back.
Haha!
In Mexico we shoot back cement balls.
Glad you said cement ball and not stone...LOL
Actually the cement ball shoot first
Jose Valdéz don’t you mean cement walls ;)
Def a good one Scott. Thought for sure the 2nd bmg shot would break it up. Theres a reason this video has 12 MILLION freakin views... good job man. Happy for ya
Who are the nearly 5k people who disliked this video??? Unless they just dislike firearms... there is literally nothing about this video to dislike.
@@sheldoncurtis2908 must be painful for them
9:17 I was so confused 😂
Homie Ohmee there was so much energy in that round that the blastwave caught up, reversed time and entropy to unbreak the stone, then it had a heart attacj and broke again. Science 😂
Ball-o-stone: im indestructible
50 BMG: *im about to end this man's whole career*
I can never see that 50 cal the same knowing
that it will one day blow up.
That atlas stone looks like a miniature moon.
He explained how large asteroids will form craters on moon...😗
"ok, so i just need to take this stone off the ca...."
Stone: *ight imma head out* 1:29
Haha
Kentucky ballistics:
"I feel like this is not enough damage let's try something a bit bigger than that"
*pulls out an RPG*
This is America. It would most likely be an AT4
*N O W T H A T ' S A L O T O F D A M A G E*
Wicked!
Imagine the energy behind that slug. Breaking that concrete to pieces ...
Ace video, big guy!
