This album is definitely his best imo. He's grown into a really compelling story teller with a great sense of his sound. If I Had A Dollar and Soldier are my favorites for sure. Glad Melon is digging Saba now. 8/10 for me.

I'm really glad you gave Saba a chance again though, knowing your relationship with his music, and still came away with positive thoughts (and a proper review this time). Personally, I adore this record for how mature Saba comes across and the closer track has got to be one of his most complete, beautiful and powerful cuts to date.

This album was a strong 7, light 8 for me, about as good as Under Pressure and TITS.

Light to decent 8 out of 10 for me dawg. I do skip 1 or 2 songs. But I enjoy listened to it. I don’t know how does fantano listen to music, but listening to this with earbuds/headphones and in the car throughout the day it’s nice. Especially on a long drive. It has a lot of different sounding tracks and I love the push and pull Suvivor’s Guilt and Stop That bring. It’s like you can never guess what track will be next. Cause Saba’s vocal range is insane and he is versatile.
Ngl even though Im a big Saba fan and love Care For Me, I also wasnt too hot on this album at first. In the first place I didnt like any of the singles at all, and was upset that Ziplock/Rich Don't Stop didn't make it. But the album's grown on me a lot. I wouldve given it like a 6/10 at first but now it's like a 7/10 or 8/10 for me honestly

This was my positive introduction to saba. Usually I’m very picky with my conscious hip hop, and a lot of artists in the genre just aren’t my thing. Up until this album that was the case with Saba, but Few Good Things genuinely makes me hyped for whatever he drops next (hopefully in less than 4 years but either way). I’m happy Fantano agrees with me for the most part cus this is a pretty sick album. 7/10 for me My favorite song on the album btw is definitely Still with 6lack and Smino. Definitely the best features for me especially Smino (another artist I’m not usually crazy for but who occasionally wows me), and all 3 of them have amazing chemistry. I hope they work together again in the future

Idk if it's his inability to connect to the cultural elements or his strict attention to almost EXCLUSIVELY the musical elements individually but he, without fail, misses the weight of the relevant subject matter and introspection through art of so many vital hip hop projects. It almost makes me proud to ignore him except when he pops up occasionally on my feed. It's a shame and I'm completely uninterested in his opinions on hip hop.

I hated that argument in the first place. Him and Chance started releasing music around the same time and he constantly continues to say that he's influenced by him. Yeah chance blew up only a year after first releasing music but Saba has been posting music since 2013 as well.

my man really lost a point or two for "influences" again
I hated that argument in the first place. Him and Chance started releasing music around the same time and he constantly continues to say that he's influenced by him. Yeah chance blew up only a year after first releasing music but Saba has been posting music since 2013 as well.
