polaroid is a brand that has instant cameras (arguably the most popular brand, hence why everyone calls instant photos polaroids). this is a fujifilm instant camera.
That dark around the edges could be something called vignetting it's when photos are slightly darker around the edges. A lot of photographers actually like the effect 😁✌

Hello @liaterally I do own an Instax Mini 9 camera just like u in Smokey White! Twinnies hahaha 💁🏻✨I already have this camera for almost 2 months ✌🏻. If u want to take pictures of a close up/macro its best to use the close up attachment lens so the distance are between 30-50cm (wtout the close up lens its only for 60-infinity distance) also if u want to take a selfie 🤳 pictures either urself or in group, u can attach the close up lens or without it, the pictures will turn out great too 👍🏻. For portraits pics, first u must know tht the viewfinder are offset wt the lens what u see in the viewfinder wont be same what the lens see cause its offset, so make sure u always tilt it to the right up a bit so that the pictures of ur subject will turn out to be centered (try to practice more yea!) 😉👍🏻. For landscape make sure ur flash is upwards not downwards cause its awkward position 😂. For landscape pictures are more easier cause its more to like the widen if u get what i mean yea so, for landscape you can use the circle in the viewfinder to make ur subject in the center and ur pics will turn out great. Tbh this instant camera works well n better at outside or with natural light ☀️ cause the lights are often softer and more natural looking. Its important to always check ur dial to adjust ur light and just follow the camera suggests yea 😄 never cover the light meter 🙅🏻 btw taking selfies wt this are easy since they’re build up wt selfie mirror but if u wanted it to be more centered make sure the lens is align up wt ur nose 👃🏻 hi-key mode u see it on ur dial its best to use it only when in a dark room where light 💡 is not lit enough, u can use it outside when its night too 🌚 and if anybody or like u said in ur vid if u put it inside ur bag ur afraid tht the shutter button is released by itself and u wasted a shot... dont worry cause as long as the camera is turned off the shutter button will not take a picture 😊 it will only take a picture when u turn on the camera so, no worries yea! 👍🏻 when it comes to films the cheaper ones are the plain white films and u can get it in bulks and save $$$. The deco films its emm... quite expensive and it always sells in 10 sheets only so yea its quite expensive but its really cute and pretty. If u cant afford it u can always use washi / deco tapes to design ur plain films 😄👍🏻 U can see the results after 2 mins and its great to put ur pics facing down so the ink/chemicals will develop to its best potential and the picture will turn out great quality 😊 ~ I hope my tips will help u a lot! ✨ Very sorry for the VERY LOOOONG comment 🙏🏻😂 also get to practice a lot wt it and enjoy also dont get to frustrated if the results didn’t come out as u expected yea 👍🏻 but its a very fun camera and easy to use 🤗 ENJOY PHOTOGRAPHING!!!!

@Maryam Ahmad you buy it off amazon and yes you can buy packs that have more than ten shots in them but you can only FILL the camera up with 10 shots ☺ ☺ ☺ Hope you found this helpfull
So here's why I'm here:
A few months back I got really into polaroid cameras (or instant cameras) and I really wanted one, now that it's close to Christmas, there are a few gifts under the tree and I did tell my brother a few days back that I would like if someone bought me a polaroid camera for Christmas 😂. There's a specific box that I've had an eye on since the day it got put there. It's the size of a polaroid camera box, but I picked it up and the box is pretty light...i have no idea if it is supposed to be but I think and really hope that it's a polaroid camera...wish me luck guys !

My wife got me one, and I gotta say, I'm absolutely loving it!! I know it's girly and stuff but I love instant cameras. Such a cool camera
Yeah, even back in the day (when I was a kid) we were told to NOT shake the picture and to shield it from light as it develops. Many of the unique and cool looking effects on the old Polaroid pictures came from people shaking them and/or not protecting the photo from light.
The main reason I like the Polaroid cameras more than these Fujifilm cameras is the Fujifilm photos are smaller than the Polaroid. These might be good for scrapbooks or whatever, but original Polaroid 600 photos weren’t all that large to begin with so anything smaller is just a bit too small for me.
Cool thing about instant print photos is that photo is the ONLY one on the planet (unless/until you scan it). It’s not digital so it doesn’t yet exist eternally in cyberspace. Super cool!

First of all, I absolutely love this video. I’m a photographer based in Columbus OH. I use a digital camera but I also have the mini 9 in Smokey white. It’s a very fun camera I use it for holidays and trips. This review was very good and detailed! Keep it up!
I have a fujifilm instax mini 8 and the only thing I can say about this kind of camera is that lighting is SO important. If it’s super dark outside your pictures probably won’t turn out good 😓 and if it’s super sunny and you put it on cloudy the pics might look super bright and washed out. The better the lighting the better your pictures will come out, I’m not sure if it’s the same for the 9 but if it is then 💁🏽♀️😌 btw love your aesthetic ✨

Love it! "1980 ish" I'm so old I remember the huge Polaroid cameras of the '70's. The pics were about 5X5 inches. These look very small, but it is exciting that they are making these cameras, because I was really bummed when they took the old ones off the market. Thanks for the video, young lady. You look just like my niece.
I know I am 4 years late, but Polaroid just released a 70s style camera a few years ago! The photos even look like the old vintage ones. This camera is called the Polaroid Now!! If you really want a 70s style camera you should get it. It looks just like the old big ones too! The only issue is how expensive it is.

Maybe you should adjust the light adjustment thing. The camera has a light censor to determine the lighting so the red light will appear and you just have to remember adjust it, if you want even lighter pic then choose the option that is on the right of the red light. Hope it helps

No difference except the 9 has a selfie gadget but still you can buy the gadget for the 8 on amazon or so

For the different settings on the camera it all depends on how much light is around you. Like there is a thing next to the flash and that sentence how mush light it sees so if you are outside on a sunny day it will tell you to have it on the full sun picture and if it is sunny but not to sunny it will go to the not so sun sun on the camera. If you go outside and you are in the shade or it’s cloudy it will tell you to go to the cloud one or if you are inside the house or take a picture at night it will tell you to use the house setting so you did use the right setting for your first picture

This is NO waste of money. I just got one for Christmas! It works BEAUTIFULY. I would just make sure you put in batteries correctly, and make sure its under the plastic flap. Made that mistake today, it was hard to get out the battery (My mistake tho.) I would also read the back of how the lighting works. That was also a mistake I first made. Easy to use when you get the hang of it, also, The case is amazing. Not just the strap, like, that small cord on it. The case also allows u to wear it, which I adore. I dropped my camera many times, and it kept it in good shape. This camera is really good for anything. 10/10 for me! :)

If you're as clumsy as you claim then you might want to get a case for the camera because it's kind of like a purse and you don't have to take it out because it's like perfectly shaped for the camera so you might want to get that plus there's like different colors and different designs

Polaroid is a brand, not a type of film/camera. the type of film/camera is analog cameras or instant cameras. This one is a Fujifilm instant camera. Nothing to do with Polaroid. People just call it that because Polaroid was the first that made analog instant cameras. Hope i helped.
