I would actually be so interested in listening to you reading out loud an essay you're proud of/you really like! As a student who doesn't live in Britain I can hardly imagine what the essays you have to write are about and how they are structured...
There are two really good books on writing essays, one is Plan your essay (Palgrave) and the other is Studying English Literature, A practical guide (Cambridge University Press), just in case it’s urgent. I hope it’s helpful!
Regarding referencing and citing: It's best to do it straight away as you write, or include the information in a comment, right after the citation. That way you can just do a final checkup at the end and don't waste precious time checking all the references pages etc. Also, Mendeley is a fantastic tool, especially for longer essays, thesis writing and articles. I love your videos, and it's so interesting to see you evolving during university and becoming more of a 'typical student' eating beans because you have nothing in and realising that you have so many references that in hindsight you should have been doing during your essay. I started horse back riding (dream of my that anxiety prevented) I’m starting college in the fall (something I’ve attempted many times) I eat regularly and do fitness regularly and in general I’m so much happier and healthier. Just a idea: When you buy a clothes drying rack you help the planet a lot more as with using the dryer (saving energy, you don't need a laundry dryer which can't be recycled well and you also save money and so on...).

Hey Ruby, you probably won't read this but I wanted to give you a tip with laundry. You can mix your dark and colourful clothes together in the washing machine, clothes are much better quality now and are less likely to run. Even if they do, it'll likely be the colourful clothes and the dye won't show up on dark clothes, I've never had it go wrong for me and I've been doing my own laundry at uni for nearly three years. Also, you don't need to separate your laundry by lights, darks, and colours when you put them in the tumble dryer. Just make sure you don't put too much in the tumble dryer or your things won't dry properly (we have those same machines at my uni and they're pretty useless at times). You don't need to follow this but it is very helpful for saving money!
I can reccomend the Sainsbury’s or Holland and Barrett quick soup mix. Packed with lentils, barley and pasta and just get some nice organic veggie stock cubes and u can slow cooker it while at a lecture :-) it’s what I do when I’m working on an essay :-)

Last year, I cared about school, but I just wasn’t a big study person. Then this year I study using your tips and studying more and I got all A(s) on my report card! I just wanted to say that from watching your videos I think you’re a very kind person. I think it’s so sad how you were bullied just for enjoying studying and reading. I think you shouldn’t change who you are just because of what people are saying. You should embrace your differences and find friends who also do.
