I found this video to be incredibly insightful and thought-provoking. As someone who has struggled with questions of faith and belief, I appreciate the way they laid out the logical framework of this position. I also appreciated how he emphasized the importance of being open-minded and intellectually honest, and not simply accepting belief based on tradition or authority. Overall, a great exploration of a complex and important topic!
There are billions of people in the world and every one has their own beliefs. Being open minded will help us identify more about something in ourselves. Thanks for watching this video, and I hope it helped you! ❤
Same thoughts! The line about being open-minded stuck to me. Everyone has different beliefs and not everyone will accept the traditional way of thinking. This video is great.
Atheism is a diverse and complex worldview that can be shaped by a wide range of factors, and individuals who identify as atheists may have many different beliefs and practices.
I'm an agnostic atheist, and I commend this guy for speaking such a sensitive topic for Filipinos. Skepticism should be encouraged by everyone because that's the only way society moves forward and develops. If skepticism on the government is highly mainstream in the Philippines, then high time for Filipinos to open their minds in regards to religion. Why people believe in Jesus, Allah, and Hindu gods, and why other people choose not to believe in any of them
Skepticism, was the word I was looking for during the interview! just be open and doubtful of anything really....
This kind of topic among youtubers is so rare yet you chose to discuss this topic and I admire you with that. This will help a lot of people to be enlightened. Kudos ATB!
I agree. Not a lot of people actually have the courage to talk about topics like this one.
Rare talaga. I do beleive that these "taboo" topics should be discussed to open minds and people to understand these topics.
I agree with you! This is a rare topic that we usually see in other influencer.
Agree too. Minsan kasi yung discussion about this ginagawang kahihiyan . Kaya yung iba hindi nalang nag oopen up.
Exactly! A lot of people will definitely be enlightened with this topic and I hope people will see this and not judge people who are beliefs are different.
This is a good topic. I just love listening each others opinion about their beliefs.
"blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
This is really me. I believed on my faith though I cannot see who I believe.
Citing Bible verse because someone doesn't believe shouldn't be included in an open conversation. Period.
We may not have seen Him, but we can entirely feel Him
Amen
Thank youu!
This is another "courageous" topic that you decided to talk about. I really salute ATB! Though this topic is highly debatable and quite sensitive, ATB was able to carefully discuss it. Looking forward for more. :)
Agree
I agree. topics like these should always be in those media outlet not just those fake celebrity stories we always see.
A very brave and sensitive topic, yet they still give useful information
It is so wholesome to see people listen and open up each of their own belief without any negative respond to both sides.
Wish I can open up to my die hard catholic granny though. That'll be quiet a scene.
Everybody should be open- minded and be respectful to the opinion of others. This is a very interesting topic. Applause to ATB for giving us this kind of content.
Kudos to you for opening up about your experiences. Everyone has different beliefs and I respect that.
I admire you for speaking up or discussing these issues, particularly here in our country, where Catholicism is the main faith. We must always remember that regardless of their own personal convictions, all individuals must be polite and accepting of different beliefs.
I absolutely agree with you
This is true po. We must always respect other people's belief and always be open-minded.
We need to respect them as well, for us to be respected by them also.
It's tough to open this topic up to my family. Only 1 of my cousins know that I'm not a fan of jesus.
this is brave topic. I believe everyone has their own views on religion. We have to respect each other. This topic should be watched critically and sensitively as well.
Indeed.we should be more mindful of this kind of topics, for everyone to be able to understand what atheist think and what comes to their minds when it comes to higher beings.❤❤
Agree with you! This topic is advised to watched with an open mind. 😌💯
I love this kinds of topic, you get to see other's beliefs and know about them without any judgements.
Perfectly said!
Thank you for sharing this, I will share it to my friends
I really like Jarvis' quote "Do what you want, as long as you are in peace with yourself". Everybody knows that there are people who don't believe in a higher being, but it's very interesting to see how Jarvis sees things as an agnostic atheist. We all may have different beliefs, but the important thing is that we should listen to each other's opinion/beliefs and not get offended by it. Respect!
Correct. If you come across this topic with people who have different beliefs than you, just listen and respect.
You got it man! Respect is the keyword and his view about things when it comes to his beliefs should be valid.
This is such a wonderful reminder to respect other people's choices, especially when it comes to religion. How many times has anyone faced criticism just because of their religious beliefs? That has to stop.
Agreed. Being an Atheist is a choice that people don't accept. He really is true for discussing his opinion about that.
Yes! Nobody should be forced because of tradition. I hope more people will be open-minded in our country!
Sana dumating ang panahon na maging accepted and normal ang atheism dito sa Pinas.
Big correct yes ❤ 💚 🎉🌄🥇
Gd am pm from southern quezon province and I am closeted agnostic theist from INC 🇮🇹 religion thank you
Great topic! Love this so much
I feel blessed upon watching this video. It feels warm to be kind. Let us spread kindness to everyone.
Same here
Yep. Being rspectful about each other;s belief is a big thing!
At the end of the day, one's belief is just one aspect of the individual. As long as these beliefs does not affect other people negatively, the individual is to be respected.
Remember the Golden Rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"
Respect is the most important thing and understanding one another to their beliefs.❤❤
same opinion, at the end of day. Don't make your belief your whole personality. haha
Thanks for making content like this! This topic is pretty much taboo in our country but it's important to keep your mind open and respect what others believe.
So true.
!00% respect is the key for peace. We should widen our own perspective for us to understand and respect other thoughts.
Big correct yes
Hi y'all! Been very busy with work and other stuff. Will try to reply and talk to everyone as much as I can.
Take your time.
Thank you po for sharing your experience living in our country as an agnostic atheist! Super daming learning.
Thank you for sharing your time.
The thing about religion is it's really a broad topic and there's been a ton of debate around it. But, I think what's more important is you respect other people's beliefs and learn to understand that not all of them will share your own beliefs.
Totally agree. We may all be different with our beliefs but regardless, we should respect each other.
Yeah, the topic about religion is really broad and very sensitive as well. Its respect that is important at the end of the day.
I completely agree with your statement. Religion is a deeply personal and often sensitive topic, and its important to respect the beliefs and perspectives of others, even if they differ from our own.
Absolutely! Religion is indeed a vast and complex topic that can encompass a wide range of beliefs, practices, and traditions. However, what is most important is our ability to respect and appreciate the diversity of beliefs that exist within our communities. Even if we don't share the same beliefs, we can still learn from each other and find common ground through a shared commitment to kindness, compassion, and understanding.
Yeah, I really agree with this. Respect is really the key here.
This was a very interesting video and I liked the way Jarvis explained how his beliefs work and how it could easily be misinterpreted. If anything, I agree with almost everything he mentioned.
Thanks for that Mig! Unfortunately the topic with beliefs is that it's very broad and can't just be explained in one video. My thoughts during the interview was all over the place too. 😅
It's actually good that he shared his insights about this topic.
This is very courageous moment and video. I think I wanna here more from you guys🤗
I hope she brings Jarvis back for another video
@@migayuyao5702 @atthebackdoor more vids daw oh!, what if At the Backdoor can have like a round table discussion with other beliefs or we can do like a compilation of questions for me? would that be good? 😊
@@jarvisdajose That actually sounds like a really good idea! Could make for an interesting discussion
This content is so rare nowadays! Happy that I saw this kind of topic. It enlightened me.
Yeah and not all are open about this topic. It's good that they brought up this topic.
5:00 - 5:12 Great example!
A unique topic, religion is really broad topic and everyone of us have their own beliefs, and I believe that we need to respect that. As long as we are not violating any moral standards of a person.
yeah.but sometimes religious people forgets how to respect othe people's beliefs
This kind of content should be done more, It would open some peoples mind on these kind of topics.
Right. This kind of topic are a bit of a taboo in the philippines as we have a lot of religion. Glad he was able to express his feelings about being an Atheist.
True! It's about time the Filipino people get exposed to other kinds of topics that the adults don't talk about.
In a society where religion is deeply ingrained in the social construct, it can be difficult for people to reconcile their beliefs of the larger community. However, it is important to remember that everyone has the right to their own beliefs and should be respected for them. Discussions about religion and belief with open mind and willingness to listen to other's perspectives, even if they differ from our own.
Yes, I agree, especially here in the Philippines where it is very religious sensitive.
I think we need to be open minded on this kind of topic
I couldn't agree more with your comment. It's important to recognize and respect that everyone has their own unique set of beliefs and values, especially in a society where religion plays a significant role. Engaging in open-minded discussions about religion and belief, with a willingness to listen to and learn from others, can be a great way to foster understanding and mutual respect. It's also important to remember that while we may have differing beliefs, we are all part of the same community and should strive to treat each other with kindness and empathy.
I agree..sometimes they don't get the point that we have our own way of believing things right?.
It's an interesting topic to discuss but we must respect all religions pa din. Thank you ATB for this eye-opening issue.
Wildsons pre?
We have different beliefs, especially in religion and we should not be separated because of our thoughts.
We all have differences when it comes to beliefs and all. We just need to respect each other other lang talaga. Love this kind of vlogs opening up about religions and all..
Indeed. Respecting each beliefs is a sign of maturity, we should learn how to respect their perspective and not contradicting their religions.
Yes, a vlog about religions and accepting and respecting each others belief. This kind of vlogs really opens up other peoples what think on topics.
I also like this topics because this is kind a taboo topic. Because let's be honest, Religion is very complex and it's really hard to talk about if you are not a open minded person.
Most atheists I've met are usually kind and smart. And I think what matters is how we respect their right to hold these beliefs.
This video speaks a lot about how closed off some religious people are. We need to respect others who have other beliefs, just as they respect ours. Not everyone will be persuaded to believe in one thing because we have our own minds. This is really insightful and I've learned a lot as a catholic.
Respect in others belief is a respect on the persons wellbeing, kase without respect can lead to chaos and violence. respect each others feelings and that is what I believe where all people should have
It all down to respect. As long as we have respect with each other. We will definitely co exist even though we have different beliefs.
I agree with you. If I may add, if we can just first accept that there's other religion existing, then we can step forward to respecting others as well. The problem kasi na nakikita ko, dini-dismiss ng iba na walang ibang religion bukod sa kinabibilangan nila. And that's when the division happened.
Particularly in this world and time, this kind of subject is really difficult to express oneself. I wish that more people in this world would be understanding of others' beliefs, or even of those who have those beliefs, as long as they do not harm others or don't treat them well.
Correct. There are people who tends to judge others based on their beliefs, and that's really sad. We should all be kind to one another regardless of what we believe.
indeed. personally, this is a sensitive topic for me to discuss as I have experienced my opinion and beliefs not being respected. i just hope people nowadays would be more open to listening and respesting rather than opposing and disrespecting to others.
As an agnostic person myself, I do can relate to the constant questioning about who you pray to? Who do you believe in? What's your religion? huh! Can people please respect!
I respect you for that. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
It's alright to be an atheist, as long as we are on the same page about the existence of an omnipotent force that runs the universe.
Are you speaking about the underlying reality or the absolute truth behind the physical phenomenon?
Yes true. As long as we respect other people.
thats right... everyone must be treated equally too...
Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs. The important thing is how you treat an individual as it shows who you truly are.
Agree, not just because you belong to a sect or you have other beliefs from others means you are anti-human too.
Everyone has the right to believe on what they stand for as long as they don't go beyond the moral standards. Religion is an has always been a way or guide for people and should not be the standard on how we judge others. The most important thing is that we treat each other with the level of respect we want others to treat us. Our religious beliefs is not a basis to judge or quality as human beings.
We need to be considerate and don't judge other
I completely agree with your statement. Everyone has the right to believe what they want, as long as their beliefs do not cause harm to others.
I agree... everyone has their own beliefs and understanding to what they believe in❤❤❤
This is a personal choice and reflects the complexity of individual belief systems.
Yep, respect begets respects afterall
Respect is the key. Not all of us have the same beliefs but it would not hurt to respect each others, right?
Correct! Everyone should respect each other's beliefs and opinions even if they don't coincide with each other.
True, it's your choice if you believe about something or not and people should learn on how to respect it.
absolutely! Its Godly manner!
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I am glad to came across this topic as here in the Philippines, you will be shamed if you do not have religion or believe in God. Glad he was able to express his thoughts about being an Atheism.
Exactly, as long as he's not hurting people I think I could respect that. Hope this channel explores on other topics similar to this too!
Sometimes naiisip ko rin bakit kaya, we believe God but we cannot see them, sometimes confused ako dun sa saying na "To see is to believe" or To believe and you'll see".
My group of friends is mostly composed of atheists, agnostic and my closest one is very religious, yet we remain friends, cause at the end, nothing matters it really depends on you on what are the things that should matter within the circle as long as there is respect, life is good.
RESPECT that's what everyone need to practice
It's great to hear that despite having different beliefs and perspectives, you and your friends are able to maintain a strong and respectful friendship.
It's truly heartening to hear about diverse groups of friends who are able to maintain strong and meaningful relationships despite their differing beliefs. It just goes to show that mutual respect and kindness can go along way in building and sustaining friendships. At the end of the day, what truly matters is the quality of the connections we have with other, rather than specific beliefs or identities we hold.
Same here, there is even one of my friends who was really into the Bible and would quote it as a response. Sometimes it would lead to arguments regarding specific topics. But at the end of the day we still remain as friends because we never forced each one's belief and stand.
I can relate with this I have and atheist friends too.but we have each other's backs when in need.❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on such a sensitive topic. Informative. Does anyone agree with me? It's interesting to know more about "taboo" topics.
I agree, I like that this channel isn't afraid to dive into taboo topics. Its a breath of fresh air
I am open minded when it comes to topic like this, because we can understand why or what atheist think about religions. Personally I am a Christian but I have friends that is atheist and we often argue if there's a God or we just made it up to make our lives less miserable and be positive in times of need.
but for me we have our own opinions in life and as a christian I believe that we all have our free will in life then let them use their free will.why argue with them if that's what they believe in. That's my opinion about this topic.
I love how he talks about being religious but not spiritual...for me
being at peace is the most important thing than being religious.because what is religion without peace.
religious people always teach about peace.how come they can't be at peace on their own..
I agree with you. Respect other people's opinions, that's all we need to do. 💯
Religious beliefs are broad topic and it's about the respect. If he/she didn't believe like you do, respect them.
that's the point as long as you don't shove your religion or belief to my face. We're all good.
Who says about religion?
In the end, it's not about religion after all.
@KATE NICOLE PAPAN I don't subscribe to their dogma either.
I think we should all respect each other as we ourselves would like to be treated. Religions may seem silly to some people, but it is what gives them hope, what keeps them on the right path and it's what inspired them to live. No matter which side you're on, it's wrong to make people feel unsafe for believing in the things they do, or feel they are lesser than you for not believing in what you believe.
At the end of the day. we have strived to survive not just believe in God.
You're right If they have that kind of belief do not force them to believe what is your belief
Lahat naman tayo mayron kanya-kanyang belief. I think different person or people have different beliefs pero depende na lamang yon kung paano natin iaaply sa sarili natin kung ano ang tama at mali. Just respect each other.
Abosuletly, everyone is entitled to their beliefs. The important thing is that we understand and respect each other. Even though, they are not the same beliefs we have. 💜
Yes, I totally agree with you.
I 100% agree to this. The most important thing is being respectful. Being religious is useless if we trample other people's belief just to gratify our own.
@@AttheBackdoor totally agrees with this. Respect is very important especially with topics like this. Thank you for putting this content.
that's right!...knowing the difference between right and wrong and knowing boundaries are the first thing an individual should practice.
We different beliefs in life. We just have to learn how to respect to other people belief.
Hey, so Ivan and Jarvis were chatting about agnostic atheism, which is basically being unsure about a higher being but not believing in one for now. They talked about how they'd believe if there's some solid evidence, but there's no proof right now. Also, they mentioned how the idea of "god" has changed over time and how different religions have their own gods. They also touched on spirituality, saying it's more about being at peace with yourself than being religious. They mentioned some misconceptions people have about agnostic atheists, like devil worship or eating babies, but that's not true! They also talked about dealing with people who aren't open-minded, and suggested reaching out to others who share their beliefs. So, what do you guys think about agnostic atheism? Do you know anyone who identifies with it?
This has been a really interesting topic for me as a Christian, and I really learned a lot after hearing his point of view about God, religion and spirituality. I have friends that have different beliefs, but I don't really mind as we all treat each other like siblings. Give respect, love and kindness, and it's all good! 🤝
It's actually my first time encountering Agnostic Atheism, and I got to be honest, everything they said in this video is really interesting.
Philippines is a very conservative and religious country, but the generation now are opening their beliefs aside from having religions, which we generationally had.
This is so true. I think the door is slightly open to matters like this. The generation is more woke to discuss this topic.
l like this topic because it seems that most of the people feel that it is not important what religion we have, what is important is what is more in our favor or what we truly feel about in our father God. In short let's just respect the each one what we trust in each of our religions.
Exactly. I really love this kind of video because it serves as an eye-opener to everyone.
Exactly my man, we have this stereotype where if you don't believe in God you are a bad person which is hindi, kase we have our own beliefs.
Having respect with other Religion can actually help us work with each other.
it also came to a point in my life when I questioned my faith as a Christian. If we believe in the same God, why divide. ? Im a devoted Christian but I fell in love with a Muslim. it doesn't really matter who to believe in as long as humanity and conscience exist within us. At the end of the day, respecting one's faith is a form of Godliness.
that's right..and sometimes when it comes to falling in love there's no religion or anything that can break you apart.❤❤
Just to remind you atheism is the absence of faith of any belief about higher beings. Respecting one's belief or disbelief is not godliness but simply being a moral human
trueeeee and sometimes it is a very difficult topic to discuss, because people are different and we have different perspectives on what we believe in, there will be a lot of disagreements and contradictions, but as long as there is respect in the conversation, i think it would be just fine
But gusto ko din yung topic kasi para sa karagdagangkaalaman na rin
Mabute yan pre. Dapat open minded sa lahat ng bagay para mapag usapan
That's why we discussed this relatively sensitive topic (in the PH) in the first place. Because we need to be open to other ideas as well not just of our own and that's what we need in the PH right now. Being open to discussing sensitive topics.
as a Filipino... that's how i was treated as a child when i doubt my faith at the time. in my 20's i was a full blown Atheist. i just dont see the existence of any God at all. religion is just superstition.
Atheism can be found in many different cultures and societies, and individuals who identify as atheists may have a variety of reasons for their beliefs.
My long-time ex gf dumped me because I won't accept Jesus as my savior 🙁 I'm an agnostic who loves all religions & beliefs.
Aww. Sorry to hear that. Pero hopefully in the future, may makilala ka na mas malalim pa ang pagkakakilala niyo sa isa't isa. Good luck po.
May mga tao talagang hindi pa nakakaintindi sa ganito. halos kasi lahat ng tao ay may religion.
Very Interesting topic. No one on earth cares about atheism a religion or not. Anyone who worships a book despite all the evidence against many claims in it from the very ''Creation'' that you claim God Created.
