I kinda agree with that comment. I do worry about them both. It’s not that Aaron is new to this it’s his gout starts up again or something happens to him or Copper. But I do want him to find healing in this, that he’ll feel better about himself.

Aaron, at 9:35 in the video is the Mircle Rock! Right around the bend from that big rock formation you’ll see that huge flat one. Stories have been told that a young girl died and they laid her there. They then climbed up beyond that tall rock. Up there they prepared a burial place for her and when they went back down to get the body she had awoken!!

That was definitely a hard life. That place at the stream is so pretty n soothing to the soul listening to the water. Your Mama needs to paint that picture. I’d definitely buy it. Can you imagine living way back in there in January,in an old shack with no doctor or trading post,and iced in... maybe with a small child or two and a wife in labor who is having trouble? Those Scots were TOUGH !
What a great find. I was unaware of this before you told about it. Enjoying every step of your journey. And I pray the love between you and your wife is blessed a hundred fold upon your return. Having lost my husband to sepsis from a brown recluse spider bite just 6 years ago Father's Day, I learned we should cherish every single day of life together with our true love. Fourty seven years was not enough. I had anticipated we would live up into our 90's like his parents did. Bob had just turned 70. We were robbed of many wonderful years together in retirement. So happy to see you improved so, rid of that bad cough, and emotionally you seem to feel better. The Lord has truly blessed you, being out there in his beautiful world, seeing the sunrise and sunsets painting the beautiful skies. Thank you for sharing your journey.

After about 5 minutes of that hill, I'd have been trying to saddle Copper and saying "Take me back to the truck". Also, to quote The Roberts...that looks very snakey. Lol Please be safe and I hope you find peace.
There's lots of things for Copper to sniff. I think this stretch is part of the healing. You're traveling this as a pioneer settler would, following tracks that were probably once just deer trails. Just like your experiences on active duty, you are handling this, healing with every step you take. Take care. Rest when you need to.

I saw them so brilliant and thick once as a pre-teen, and have never been anywhere or able to see that again- they were so thick and bright I felt like they were 3D and could reach up and pluck one down- see anything like that there? Love seeing your travels, thank you and many prayers!
Do you think some forest fires destroyed most of the structures? Most of those trees around there don't look that old. And no tin roofs laying on the ground etc. If you had a metal detector it might help find out more about the place. Wonder if metal detectors are allowed in national forest? Take care you two
@@ghayes6237 Was going by the structure that was left. It was also from1860's to 1950's. Few photos on internet shows structures. They had to bring in windows and other supplies so why not tin. Just these and a few other reasons why I thought of tin. But hey, I can be wrong. We need Robert up there to find some answers.

They made shake roofs back then,out of wood shingles
