Fave parts was the potential implication of the blood oath seal. Squad zero can probably release their Bankai etc but while the others live it's a shadow of their true power. Also after the multiple times Lille states that his shots hit everything between the gun and the target, Senjumaru uses reflections of herself so that she is both behind and in front of Lille, meaning his shot hits himself as he is in the path of his shot to Senjumaru.
Seems pretty obvious Episode 27 will have Uryu using Antithisis to reverse the effects of Senjumaru’s Bankai back onto her. What else would even make sense?
Senjumaru’s Bankai is on a whole different level than it looks on the first glance. It’s not only a sealing technique (the Sternrittern were sealed into the cloth fabric) but a fate sealing technique. She is literary weaving their fate: Lille Barro is fractioned like a kaleidoscope foreshadowing him being disintegrated in many parts by Shinken Hakkyoken. Askin dying in a dome that collapses around him foreshadowing dying in the Gift Bereich. Pernida surrounded by sand foreshadowing him bursting to dust after devouring Nemu’s remains. Gerald covered in ice by Hitsugaya. Haschwalth fighting against fire foreshadowing his fight against Bazz-B. I’m not sure what Uryu being mesmerised by the Quincy Star means, thou. It might mean him being blinded by the Quincy doctrine and pride.
With Uryu, let's not forget that he is the only one who survives at the end and maybe him facing the quincy cross is literally him having to decide to die a defender of Ywa or face off against him
I'm so glad someone else noticed this. I think with uryuu I first thought he'd face the "dark of night" aka ichigo but it could also mean he's facing the void that is YH or just being saved by ichigo
Interesting read and I myself noticed that Gerarld got frozen (which I thought was just foreshadowing) but the Jugram fire thing doesnt make much sense because Jugo killed Baz prrtty easily (Unless the anime changes the fight which I could totally see)
Facts, the zero division the whole time nerfed themselves and only one of them was actually beaten, it will be a mix of the balance antithesis and the rest of the Sternritter just to take out Sengumaru, 0 division are all "him" lol.

Still don't have Oetsu's and Hikifune's Shikai or Bankai, Kinpika isn't properly explained, like does it control the water, the light, both? Also no Bankai from Kiringi either, but I can see the bankai's being reserved for later cours or maybe even the Hell Arc if we don't see all of them in this series.

Yup she writes their fate. The translation for her line for the X axis is “Sightless be to any who gaze upon their might”. Which is excellent foreshadowing as this is exactly what happens to him.
When she said “bankai” I literally got chills. I was so excited. The anime really took us manga readers by surprise and honestly it’s everything I would’ve hoped for after waiting so long

Hey Tommo! On Senjumarus bankai, someone speculated that it can form a thousand scenarios at once that are designated for specifically being used against a specific targets physical or mental weaknesses. Lille's room acts very similar to Nanao's zanpakuto and reflects God's light. Gerard isn't killed but kept frozen to prevent his death and to keep the Miracle from activating. Pernida is drowned in sand because the compulsory can't fight against so many actively moving pieces. Askin is specifically sealed away because he can't be killed so easily. Hachswalth is swathed in fire due to his connection with Bazz B and any emotional or mental hangups he has with his old friend (And potentially due to a weakness the balance may have to an inferno or in a situation where the scales are against Senjumaru due to it being a 6 on 1 fight) and Uryu isn't harmed at all but peacefully subdued, preventing the Antithesis from being used and turned on her as well.
I for one dont think the rooms are wholly literal but symbolic. The way I interpreted Pernidas room is that Pernida is the hand of progress but drowned in the sands of time. So his progress lost to stillness in a sense. And Haschwalths death dying in the flames was his past rearing its ugly head. He definitely did not forget that he sided with the quincies after they exterminated Bazz' village. What really killed him was guilt materialized as flame. Uryuu seemed to struggle to his knees almost as if he were being forced to bow down to the quincy tapestry. His internal struggle brought outward. If that makes any sense. If not then disregard.
@@TravisAxel I agree. It parallels Rose's Bankai, which appeared to control multiple elements but was controlling something else that simply replicated the effects of those elements. That scene told us that Senjumaru's Bankai can't just do whatever it takes to kill its victims, it MUST be controlling a singular thing. My guess is that it controls the threads of fate: it's taking their fated deaths and bringing them into the present. Which might be more metaphorical for some and more literal for others. Like, Gerard might actually die from freezing, or at least Toshiro's ice might stop his heart/the Quincy Cross from regenerating him while Kenpachi finishes him. Uryu's is the only one I expect to be fully subverted...though I wouldn't put it past Kubo to have him peacefully lose his powers and die in the Hell Arc someday.
I LOVE that they showed Isshin reacting to Senjunaru's Bankai. It involves him, and Ryuken, and him potentially recognizing that that reitsu is from a zero division member, most likely releasing Bankai, would be such an incredible addition. This anime has surpassed and surprised me like no other anime has in like, 20 years. I'm so ready for cour 3...
The best part of the entire episode is that Senjimaru's bankai perfectly foreshadows how each member will die. Haschwalth being burned as he will by Yhwach stealing his powers, Lille shots reflecting on him like how the Isei sword will reflect his light back unto him, Uryu being faced with the quincy cross since he only survives since he turns his back on them for Ichigo, etc. Just another thing to make this episode even more incredible.
And Askin getting beat by uruhara, yoruichi and grimmjow represented by the 3 gold silhouettes crushing him, and the sand maybe representing pernida getting destroyed by Nemu's infinitely replicating cells
I like how it ends with the quincy "defeated". Normally defeat cliffhangers are for the heros of the story and the ending theme this cour has been from the quincy perspective.
With the reveals this episode it's clear that no Gotei 13 member stands a chance against a Squad 0 member. The activation of the Bankai influences ALL 3 WORLDS. That is so crazy. SK Almighty Yhwach (and Reio) are the only ones we've really seen capable of that. They have done Squad 0 right, this is how powerful they should be. "Starting today, every Top 10 Strongest Bleach Character list will have 5 spaces already reserved for these guys", I think Rebirth said something like that on his stream and I 100% agree
Fr!!! Ppl can get off yamas balls now. No way he stands a chance against ANY squad 0. I think only aizen and true bankai ichigo can go up to par. With the direction the anime is goin, i bet aizen will be hype in cour 4 as well!
You're forgetting ichigo. He is also someone else capable of that kind of power. As we saw in the anime during ichigos training under ichibe, it was shown that ichigo was a capable vessel to replace the soul king. Not only that, ichigo kills yhwach 2 times and yhwach even says he has no more room for error against ichigo and even deemed his bankai too dangerous to fight directly so he broke it in the future.

I also have a theory that Senjumaru's Bankai will be the reason why Ryuken and Ishin will go up too! because they showed THEM specifically reacting to the Bankai release in the Human world!

@@joshuamcneely3028 It definitely is. He even says this is what you could call a bankai since he mentions he was the very first to have an ascended Zanpakutō before he came up with the name bankai. It's probably more likely that Ichibe always has his sword released and isn't bound by the blood oath like the other 4 are since he is the leader. But yes it is 100% his bankai since it literally says it in it this episode.
Im assuming either Uryu reflects everything onto Senjumaru or Ywach uses the almighty to rewrite everything, he was literally opening his eyes as Ichibei send him to his "death"
At 0:15 in the new cour 3 trailer, we see Uryu battling in what looks like Shutara's Bankai. However, I'll prefer she loses to Yhwach's Almighty, rather than Uryu's Antithesis. Sure, I can stomach that Uryu somehow broke free of her Bankai, using his Schrift, but then battle it out evenly? till Yuha shows up and defeats her. That Bankai is too beautiful and powerful to lose to Uryu. 😭 Gosh, I freaking loved that reveal.

Can we talk about the genius of her handling Pernida, by converting his pocket dimension into a sand trap that he can't grasp onto. Nullifying his Compulsory. Seriously, they didn't even explore that in the manga! Unless I'm remembering incorrectly, and if so do tell.
I honestly like the glass cannon move of 3 Squad Zero sacrificing themselves so one can use Bankai. It makes sense when you consider very rarely would they even have to break the blood oath seal that it’s a one time use, last ditch effort. Plus they prolly believe no way Ichibei loses to Yhwach so it’s like sacrificing three but having three max revives as long as Ichibei is still around to bring the others back
I think they had to kill themselves in order for one person to use their full power. They were basically seals for themselves. Plus they can just be brought back to life after the fight. It's like how in the original arcs, the soul reapers were not allowed to use full power in the world of the living.
@@fullyactivated I love how they took that concept and took it to its' logical extreme. Even lieutenants needed to be sealed because of the damage they could cause, so it makes sense that squad zero needs to as well.
I'm guessing they both personally know each other. Tbh as stated in the cfyow novel, senjumaru was promoted to Squad Zero because she invented the shinigami outfit which means she actually predated the founding of Gotei 13. She's definitely an old hag tho
Starting to think I may have been one of the few people to understand what Senjumaru's bankai was doing in my first watch. The fact she killed everyone with their own fate later in the series is just a Kubo masterclass
@@deihiroshi9686 He kills Nemu, her body has cells that regenerate at extreme rates so all of her bits touching Pernida caused his cells to regenerate at a rate too uncontrollable so he just implodes.
But askin dies to his heart being ripped out. And Gerard had his power to come back “miraculously” by another aushwalen. He didn’t die to being frozen by toshiro iirc.
I have been waiting for this reaction all day... and I wasn't disappointed. Glad we got the additional content. I kinda hope we see the rest of their bankia in the future. Maybe the final fight?
I'm convinced they're gonna rearrange some of the bigger fights. Like: 1) Grimmjow's second release 2) Ginjo and crews involvement in the fights 3) Aizen Bankai 4) Ichigo's bankai ability

Shutara was amazing, and I loved that they explained why we can't see all four Squad Zero Bankai. I'd love to know what the other three could do, but even seeing one was really exciting!
It also ties into what we have seen in Hell Arc one shot - the idea of how immensely powerful beings inevitably affect the state of the world even by merely existing. Which is why they have no choice but to keep their power sealed for the most part.
What immediately stood out to a lot of us is how some of the SS deaths in Senjumaru's bankai seem like foreshadowing of future events, Lille's power getting reflected back at him, Gerard getting frozen, Haschwalt getting burned. One interesting theory I've about it, is that the bankai pulls a fated death from the future and apply it immediately, something about the red thread of fate. However since these deaths have been pulled into the past, these same events later would fail to kill their recipents. It also ties to Ichibei stealing 100 nights from future Soul Society for a present attack, making out Squad Zero even further to be these timeless divine beings. Lille has his power reflected at him, but doesn't die from it. Askin gets wounded by a lot of different people, but doesn't die until one big decisive blow later. Pernida gets swallowed whole by Mayuri's bankai but only evolves further. Gerard is completely frozen over by Hitsugaya, but he just powers up again. Haschwalt survives Bazz B's flames. And finally, Uryu is unaffected by the Auswahlen. Uryu here is the most puzzling case, since he apparently already survived it as a child, and I'm of two minds about it. The funnier version is that the reason he survived it originally, is that Senjumaru manipulated fate to pull that death into their battle, inadvertedly letting him survive and participate in the battle in the first place. The other interpretation is that he is simply immune to Auswahlen for another reason, even though it is destined death, and that same reason will also allow him to survive and counter Senjumaru's bankai, as the part 3 trailer seems to imply.
I love how her bankai is so mysterious and open to interpretation. My personal theory is that her bankai actually weaves fate and she was literally writing each Sternritter's death. However, her bankai will get interrupted/nullified in cour 3 by some Antithesis/Balance/Almighty shenanigans, and so her woven fates are incomplete - which is why the Sternritters eventually survive their depicted fates.
I think the bankai seals their fate, as it is a reference to the greek mythos the threads of fate, i think senjumaru's bankai will kill her, but allow her to basically guarantee that these 6 will suffer defeat. Her final words roughly translate to "when this loom cuts the fabric, the 6 tellings will come to pass" we know that the zero division is completely defeated in the manga, so the Shitstaffle cannot die here, and we know that senjumaru must die. The best way to preserve her newly perceived strength is to have her bankai take her life, and the shitstaffle die in the ways they were already written to. It is the perfect way for Kubo to preserve the story he has already written AND give us the zero division we deserved.
Look at us, from your bankai reviews and battle analysis, to now seeing this moment animated and giving all us what we’ve been waiting for years. A full circle moment for the fans
I read a thread about how Senjumaru's bankai was sort of a form of future site. And the way she dealt with each quincy was a look at their futures in a way.
omg thank goodness you noticed how Senjumaru said her Zanpakuto's name "Shigarami" earlier when she was fighting Gerard I've seen a lot of videos about this episode and no one seemed to notice and yes it IS her Zanpakuto's name and not just some random technique since it's one of the words in her Bankai "Shatatsu Karagara *Shigarami* no Tsuji"
I like how her Bankai seems to revolve around fate, with the red thread, and how each Stern Ritter was given a fate to match their future. Lile was pierced by his own power; Askin was stabbed through; Pernida lost himself to over-progression/erosion; Gerard was frozen; Haschwalth faced a great fire; and Uryu followed the Quincy Cross and was struck by what seems like the Auswhalen
Aside of seeing all of what happened in this two final episodes, it' s awesome to see how Tommo is excited for it. It's like Kubo rewarded You for all the work you are putting in covering all this content. Thank You for your awesome work and I just wanna say that your reactions and reviews are now part of Bleach by themselves. Uryu will definitely be the one to escape, I have a feeling that he marked Senjumarus Arm when he touched it fully powered and he is gonna use antithesis to switch places with either her entire or just her arm and will be fighting senjumaru outside of the bankai and have a chance to finally shine and be like the reason why Ywach entrusted it to him
This reveal has me hoping that Ukitake may get a Bankai reveal as well. Not sure where they would fit it in, but he really needs more time to shine next cour.
Disregarding that weird post-credit scene, I find the point where the actual episode ended REALLY interesting. Yhwach's fight is not over yet and Senjumaru has defeated the 6 strongest POST-AUSWÄHLEN Quincy. But as manga readers we know what will happen in the end. And now in cour 3 there is so much time. I think we might get even more of Squad 0, which is so so cool. They completely changed the community's view on them in two episodes. Squad 0 are absolute demons and I like that they didn't end the cour with their defeat
i tihnk now if squad 0 loses it will make sense. cause they so strong that all of them cant use bnakai at the same time and they were fighting while holding back. the downside is that to be at full power without killing their allies 3 have to be dead. So its like a double edge sword
It gets even better when you consider the thematic opposites. Auswhelen is the quincy king forcefully stealing the lives of his subjects to benefit himself, while the zero division willingly sacrificed their own lives for the benefit of their comrade. Which is also further building on the theme of quincies wielding stolen power that's not their own, and as a result don't respect it, while shinigami wield power that comes from within themselves and can't ever wield it their full power if they don't respect it.
Senjumaru stole the show. That was a FANTASTIC display of such a powerful Bankai. It was a visual masterpiece and I’m glad she got her time to shine. The idea that Zero Division using their Bankai’s all at once would cause calamity in all the worlds is a nice touch, really caught me off guard at how grisly it was that they just offed themselves.
Senjumaru’s Bankai Reveal is soo super amazing!!! She locates and manipulates enemies’ Soul Ribbons, to manipulate the Fabric of Fate surrounding each individual; and brings their individual Fated Demises sooner rather than later
Did you notice how they even changed the Black only coming out of Kisuke’s coat? In the manga, it came out of his coat and hat. The hat is green and white meaning it has no black on it so the manga didn’t make any sense there. I know the staff are really hardcore fans but I still found it hard to imagine they would notice that and fix it till maybe the Blue Rays. They did a wonderful job this episode.
No it made sense in the manga. The manga is black and white so it made sense that the BLACK on his hat was coming off. His power is to control all black. It was Kubo playing with the fact that a manga is black and white. Here, its in anime form, so his hat has another color to it so it is left alone.
@@STGAoeAt first glance you have a point, but we have to remember that Kubo also has drawn color pages with Kisuke’s green and white hat and even on manga volume covers as well. It’s possible that Kubo might have forgotten that Kisuke’s hat was green instead of black since manga is black and white. Characters in this manga have mentioned other colors such as red and crimson. Kubo has also forgotten to draw on Shunsui’s eyepatch during the manga’s original run. The Black coming out of Kisuke’s hat also happens in the Colored Manga as well.
@@yakioni2848 Well Kubo doesn’t handle the color versions of the manga. Thats a mistake on the Shueisha’s part. The fact that its not corrected in the volume releases, which is where Kubo makes his corrections, makes it even more clear that it’s intentional.

You aren’t supposed to view this as a “in universe” thing for the manga. It’s literally Kubo breaking the 4th wall and having fun. Its like how Ichibe literally attacks and the black he was using spelled out the chapter name. Its just Kubo having fun
@@STGAoe Sometimes Vol. Releases fix mistakes like with Shunsui’s eyepatch but they don’t always have corrections and then it’s too late to change them. In Vol. 58 Ch. 519, the Soul King is seen with all of his limbs despite that he shouldn’t have his arms and legs. Although that one was most likely because he didn’t plan out the plot about missing limbs of the Soul King having their own consciousness. Pernida’s weird human arm also didn’t get fixed in Ch. 599 in the Volume Release
I’m so happy the anime has expanded on Kubo’s work in the manga. Episode 26 was a home run and I’m so happy the zero division actually looked strong. Hopefully more characters who didn’t get a ton of fights get more spotlight too (Grimmjow, Nel, the Fullbringers, and visards). So glad Tom enjoyed it as much as we all did!
I always assumed that Senjumaru’s shikai were the multiple hands, that allow her to create whatever she needs for the situation, and she just keeps it activated at all times like kensei. With her bankai controlling the “fabric” of reality
That seal thing is massive in terms of scaling, it points to Squad 0 members all being stronger than Yama if they get use their true swords. A lower tier Squad 0 member like Senjumaru was considered was able to one shot all Yhwach's amped royal guards + Haschwalth and Uruy without any trouble
I love the links between being a seamstress and "weaving the fabric of reality". I think it fits very well into being one of the Royal Guard, they are legit God-tier powers
This was absolutely incredible, and completely redeemed Squad Zero. Senjumaru in particular is amazing - not just her design, but all of her extremely creative, diverse and powerful abilities, and how fun she is to watch in general with all the different stuff her many arms keep doing, and the way she moves around. The one issue I have is that the top Quincies might just have taken a bit too many Ls at this point, especially Haschwalth, who has now suffered 2 brand new deaths (and during his first battle I 100% expected him to turn things around with The Balance, rather than be bailed out by Juha). I'd like to see the Quincies somehow get out of Senjumaru's Bankai on their own (again, Haschwalth might be the answer, he sure seemed calm about being burned alive at any rate), rather than The Almighty magically turning everything around for them.
I love how her bankai shows how they actually get defeated, Lille gets his own light reflected by him using *8 mirrors* Gerard is frozen Pernida cant evolve Askin is jumped Uryu sees hospital curtains Jugram burned by regret
I can’t believe how good Bleach fans are eating. Kubo knows how he left the state of Bleach because he was rushing due to illness. He has completely redeemed any missteps and the animation is immaculate. Never thought I would see this.
The one thing I'm confused about: is Ichibe's power sealed to some extent as well? The Zero division mentions that their power is so strong that it shakes the world so they have linked their lives together to seal it, but Ichibe goes into a bankai with little to no effects on anything. It doesn't even seem like a powerup.
Maybe bankai and shinuchi aren't just different names for the same thing. Maybe they have different properties/characteristics too. I guess shinuchi is like the "non-explosive" version of bankai? just a thought.
Oetsu Nimaiya so cool. He has to be one of the most prominent member even among the ZERO Squad. The fact that he dictates who gets to end the Schutzstaffel is definitely foreshadowing something. Back to the story, Kirinji, Hikifune and Nimaiya killing themself for Shutara to unleash her true power is a suicide plan. If she and Ichibei is defeated, that is the end for the Zero squad. But why it’s such a smart move is because them losing is inevitable but them losing this way still does not take anything away about how strong they are due to the risk they took. Now we can’t complain that the Zero squad was all talk and hype no action. Regardless of if they lose or win After this showcase there is enough proof that each individual of the zero squad is much stronger than the captains and Schutzstaffel.
Now I'm extremely interested to see what the other Royale guard members bankais are. Some ideas I have: Kirinji: Something related to the great flood that threatened to wipe out humanity in the bible Hikifune: The world tree from Norse mythology? Oetsu: Maybe a sword that has all the zanpakuto abilities ever conceived and possibly their bankais too? Aside from ichimonji anyway
I prefer this channels reaction over others. We both share the genuine excitement over these new crazy scenes. Other channels either haven’t read it so the reactions just seem elementary or are looking for things to be wrong as opposed to enjoying what their seeing. So bravo to you 👏🏿

I'm really glad that after all these years I i get to not only revisit one of my first anime, but get to hear you talk about it and share that excitement with thousands.
I have a feeling Senjumaru did in fact kill all of them but at the start of cour 3 Yhwach activates Almighty and reverses basically everything from both fights. That is assuming they don’t just continue the fight and have one of the other figure a way out of it. We know most of them have the actual capability to do so. I was half expecting Gerard to activate the Miracle or something near the end of the episode but yea this was amazing I’m so hyped.

Senjumaru's new Bankai is amazing to see, it's so incredibly powerful if just her prescense is shaking all 3 realms, and I love the amount of Foreshadowing involved in it as well. (Spoilers for Anime Only's below) . . . . . . . . . . . . Lillie, has his attacks reflected back at him. (Him losing to Nanao & Shunsui) Askin gets outnumbered by 3 Powerful opponents and his body pierced through (Yoruichi, Kisuke and Grimmjow) Pernida absorbing a Woman and ultimately paying the price for it (Nemu) Gerard getting pinned down and frozen over (His fight against Byakuya & Toshiro). Uryu's moment calls back to seeing the Auswahlen taking the life of his mother (Which is very tragic) And Haschwalth getting burned alive could reference his regret of betraying his former best friend Bazz B.
Pernida is more like he's being swallowed by the black abyss of sand. He tries to use Compulsory on it but the sand is way too flexible and eventually he gets swallowed. Kurotsuchi's name literally means "Black Soil" so it was pretty on the nose because Kurotsuchi nearly had an answer to everything Pernida did because he's such a flexible guy with his science.
I really hope they do the reveal of the Almighty and the Antithesis together as a start of the next core. Think how awesome that would be, Yhwach and Uryu both completely flipping the table.
I hope so as well, for the double reveal in EP 1 of cour 3. However, I'd rather Senjumaru still loses to Yuha, rather than Uryu. Yeah, his Antithesis might be hax, but ain't no way that defeats her Bankai. 😭
Likely that's how Senjumaru is defeated. Antithesis counters her fate turning it back on her. Yhwach them uses the Almighty to bring the rest of the guard back

I'm so glad I have these videos because it's amazing having someone to relate to. This is the most excited I've been for bleach ever! Being a fan since the original anime as a kid, it feels crazy being this excited for bleach again!!! And to think we are getting so much new content to fill holes from the manga. Such a satisfying experience.
Senjumaru's Bankai scene actually gave a lot more meaning to Lilie's later fight with Shunsui when he mention he can't be killed by a bankai. I can see where he gets that confidence now Also I am pretty optimistic now we might get Ukitake's bankai in cour 3
16:00 I assume they can come back just like Ichibe can with their name being announced. They did seem to act like nothing much happened when they returned in CFYOW. Oetsu also said “Who’s first” meaning that they can all probably resurrect each other if they don’t get speedblitzed like they did in the manga.
I love Senjumaru and glad she got to shine here at the end of cour 2. Definitely looking forward to cour 3 which has been revealed to release next year in 2024 though no specific month or date yet. I'm hoping for a spring release in April or something
The foreshadowing if you notice, Jugram, lille, gerard, pernida, askin, and uryu’s fates from senjumaru’s bankai is foreshadowing of their future death and fights.
I love how her bankai adapted each kill to her opponent "tailored" the methods you might say 😂 I just wish we could see them all, I'm so sad we have to wait now for more bleach this has been amazing being able to see bleach again the whole second part has been incredible so much added and so many flaws addressed they've done so much justice to bleach 🎉🎉 bring on part 3!
Senjumaru’s Bankai actually foreshadows the future fights with the royal guard, Lillie’s attack gets reflected on him, Gerard gets frozen later as well by toshiro, and Haschwalth fights bazz B later who uses fire to fight him

I'm at a loss for words describing episode 26. The animation team absolutely did justice to the Zero squad and the level of power they should theoretically possess in Bleach lore. Senjumaru's Ban Kai design was a work of art. With how powerful it was portrayed to be, my hope is that the writers understand it will literally take Godly power to undo what she did to the Quincies.
This has been a well-anticipated reaction video that we've waited a day for, and I'm glad we're finally getting around to see your gleeful reaction! When Senjumaru finally got the spotlight she deserved, as well as the other Zero Division members, I was WAITING to see how everyone would react, and we all reacted with pure joy and delight. Those words, "Bankai" killed it for me! However, due to the narrative and adherence to the source material, Senjumaru is very likely going to die somewhere from the first two episodes in Cour 3, but what I'd be wondering about is how this anime-original sequence will be handled. Also, I love how Senjumaru’s Bankai reflects the adversities, counters, or deaths to the six quincy: Lille Barro = Killed by the reflection of his own attacks Askin Nakk Le Vaar = Killed whilst enveloped and trapped Pernida Parnkgjas = Countered by endless sand to prevent The Compulsory, and is killed by being multiplicatively reduced to dust. Gerard Valkyrie = Alludes to his flash-freezing in his fight with the Gotei 13 Jugram Haschwalth = Alludes to his fight with Bazz B Uryu Ishida = Not sure but I guess she nullifies the Antithesis by taking it, similar to Yhwach? Fave parts was the potential implication of the blood oath seal. Squad zero can probably release their Bankai etc but while the others live it's a shadow of their true power.
Also after the multiple times Lille states that his shots hit everything between the gun and the target, Senjumaru uses reflections of herself so that she is both behind and in front of Lille, meaning his shot hits himself as he is in the path of his shot to Senjumaru.
Seems pretty obvious Episode 27 will have Uryu using Antithisis to reverse the effects of Senjumaru’s Bankai back onto her. What else would even make sense?
Senjumaru’s Bankai is on a whole different level than it looks on the first glance. It’s not only a sealing technique (the Sternrittern were sealed into the cloth fabric) but a fate sealing technique. She is literary weaving their fate:
Lille Barro is fractioned like a kaleidoscope foreshadowing him being disintegrated in many parts by Shinken Hakkyoken.
Askin dying in a dome that collapses around him foreshadowing dying in the Gift Bereich.
Pernida surrounded by sand foreshadowing him bursting to dust after devouring Nemu’s remains.
Gerald covered in ice by Hitsugaya.
Haschwalth fighting against fire foreshadowing his fight against Bazz-B.
I’m not sure what Uryu being mesmerised by the Quincy Star means, thou. It might mean him being blinded by the Quincy doctrine and pride.
With Uryu, let's not forget that he is the only one who survives at the end and maybe him facing the quincy cross is literally him having to decide to die a defender of Ywa or face off against him

Interesting read and I myself noticed that Gerarld got frozen (which I thought was just foreshadowing) but the Jugram fire thing doesnt make much sense because Jugo killed Baz prrtty easily (Unless the anime changes the fight which I could totally see)
Pernida is also dying to black sand, or earth. Mayuri "Kurotsuchi". Kurotsuchi can mean "black earth"

Yup she writes their fate. The translation for her line for the X axis is “Sightless be to any who gaze upon their might”. Which is excellent foreshadowing as this is exactly what happens to him.
When she said “bankai” I literally got chills. I was so excited. The anime really took us manga readers by surprise and honestly it’s everything I would’ve hoped for after waiting so long

Hey Tommo! On Senjumarus bankai, someone speculated that it can form a thousand scenarios at once that are designated for specifically being used against a specific targets physical or mental weaknesses. Lille's room acts very similar to Nanao's zanpakuto and reflects God's light. Gerard isn't killed but kept frozen to prevent his death and to keep the Miracle from activating. Pernida is drowned in sand because the compulsory can't fight against so many actively moving pieces. Askin is specifically sealed away because he can't be killed so easily. Hachswalth is swathed in fire due to his connection with Bazz B and any emotional or mental hangups he has with his old friend (And potentially due to a weakness the balance may have to an inferno or in a situation where the scales are against Senjumaru due to it being a 6 on 1 fight) and Uryu isn't harmed at all but peacefully subdued, preventing the Antithesis from being used and turned on her as well.
I for one dont think the rooms are wholly literal but symbolic. The way I interpreted Pernidas room is that Pernida is the hand of progress but drowned in the sands of time. So his progress lost to stillness in a sense. And Haschwalths death dying in the flames was his past rearing its ugly head. He definitely did not forget that he sided with the quincies after they exterminated Bazz' village. What really killed him was guilt materialized as flame. Uryuu seemed to struggle to his knees almost as if he were being forced to bow down to the quincy tapestry. His internal struggle brought outward.

@@TravisAxel I agree. It parallels Rose's Bankai, which appeared to control multiple elements but was controlling something else that simply replicated the effects of those elements. That scene told us that Senjumaru's Bankai can't just do whatever it takes to kill its victims, it MUST be controlling a singular thing. My guess is that it controls the threads of fate: it's taking their fated deaths and bringing them into the present. Which might be more metaphorical for some and more literal for others. Like, Gerard might actually die from freezing, or at least Toshiro's ice might stop his heart/the Quincy Cross from regenerating him while Kenpachi finishes him. Uryu's is the only one I expect to be fully subverted...though I wouldn't put it past Kubo to have him peacefully lose his powers and die in the Hell Arc someday.
I LOVE that they showed Isshin reacting to Senjunaru's Bankai. It involves him, and Ryuken, and him potentially recognizing that that reitsu is from a zero division member, most likely releasing Bankai, would be such an incredible addition. This anime has surpassed and surprised me like no other anime has in like, 20 years. I'm so ready for cour 3...
More importantly that's how isshin and ryuken made it to soul society in time to give the arrow (which I think will eventually change ig)
The best part of the entire episode is that Senjimaru's bankai perfectly foreshadows how each member will die. Haschwalth being burned as he will by Yhwach stealing his powers, Lille shots reflecting on him like how the Isei sword will reflect his light back unto him, Uryu being faced with the quincy cross since he only survives since he turns his back on them for Ichigo, etc. Just another thing to make this episode even more incredible.

I like how it ends with the quincy "defeated". Normally defeat cliffhangers are for the heros of the story and the ending theme this cour has been from the quincy perspective.
With the reveals this episode it's clear that no Gotei 13 member stands a chance against a Squad 0 member. The activation of the Bankai influences ALL 3 WORLDS. That is so crazy.
SK Almighty Yhwach (and Reio) are the only ones we've really seen capable of that. They have done Squad 0 right, this is how powerful they should be. "Starting today, every Top 10 Strongest Bleach Character list will have 5 spaces already reserved for these guys", I think Rebirth said something like that on his stream and I 100% agree

You're forgetting ichigo. He is also someone else capable of that kind of power. As we saw in the anime during ichigos training under ichibe, it was shown that ichigo was a capable vessel to replace the soul king. Not only that, ichigo kills yhwach 2 times and yhwach even says he has no more room for error against ichigo and even deemed his bankai too dangerous to fight directly so he broke it in the future.

It's probably more likely that Ichibe always has his sword released and isn't bound by the blood oath like the other 4 are since he is the leader. But yes it is 100% his bankai since it literally says it in it this episode.
Im assuming either Uryu reflects everything onto Senjumaru or Ywach uses the almighty to rewrite everything, he was literally opening his eyes as Ichibei send him to his "death"
At 0:15 in the new cour 3 trailer, we see Uryu battling in what looks like Shutara's Bankai.
However, I'll prefer she loses to Yhwach's Almighty, rather than Uryu's Antithesis.
Sure, I can stomach that Uryu somehow broke free of her Bankai, using his Schrift, but then battle it out evenly? till Yuha shows up and defeats her.

I honestly like the glass cannon move of 3 Squad Zero sacrificing themselves so one can use Bankai. It makes sense when you consider very rarely would they even have to break the blood oath seal that it’s a one time use, last ditch effort. Plus they prolly believe no way Ichibei loses to Yhwach so it’s like sacrificing three but having three max revives as long as Ichibei is still around to bring the others back
I think they had to kill themselves in order for one person to use their full power. They were basically seals for themselves. Plus they can just be brought back to life after the fight.
It's like how in the original arcs, the soul reapers were not allowed to use full power in the world of the living.

But askin dies to his heart being ripped out. And Gerard had his power to come back “miraculously” by another aushwalen. He didn’t die to being frozen by toshiro iirc.

It also ties into what we have seen in Hell Arc one shot - the idea of how immensely powerful beings inevitably affect the state of the world even by merely existing. Which is why they have no choice but to keep their power sealed for the most part.

What immediately stood out to a lot of us is how some of the SS deaths in Senjumaru's bankai seem like foreshadowing of future events, Lille's power getting reflected back at him, Gerard getting frozen, Haschwalt getting burned. One interesting theory I've about it, is that the bankai pulls a fated death from the future and apply it immediately, something about the red thread of fate. However since these deaths have been pulled into the past, these same events later would fail to kill their recipents. It also ties to Ichibei stealing 100 nights from future Soul Society for a present attack, making out Squad Zero even further to be these timeless divine beings.
Lille has his power reflected at him, but doesn't die from it. Askin gets wounded by a lot of different people, but doesn't die until one big decisive blow later. Pernida gets swallowed whole by Mayuri's bankai but only evolves further. Gerard is completely frozen over by Hitsugaya, but he just powers up again. Haschwalt survives Bazz B's flames. And finally, Uryu is unaffected by the Auswahlen. Uryu here is the most puzzling case, since he apparently already survived it as a child, and I'm of two minds about it. The funnier version is that the reason he survived it originally, is that Senjumaru manipulated fate to pull that death into their battle, inadvertedly letting him survive and participate in the battle in the first place. The other interpretation is that he is simply immune to Auswahlen for another reason, even though it is destined death, and that same reason will also allow him to survive and counter Senjumaru's bankai, as the part 3 trailer seems to imply.
I love how her bankai is so mysterious and open to interpretation. My personal theory is that her bankai actually weaves fate and she was literally writing each Sternritter's death. However, her bankai will get interrupted/nullified in cour 3 by some Antithesis/Balance/Almighty shenanigans, and so her woven fates are incomplete - which is why the Sternritters eventually survive their depicted fates.

I think the bankai seals their fate, as it is a reference to the greek mythos the threads of fate, i think senjumaru's bankai will kill her, but allow her to basically guarantee that these 6 will suffer defeat. Her final words roughly translate to "when this loom cuts the fabric, the 6 tellings will come to pass" we know that the zero division is completely defeated in the manga, so the Shitstaffle cannot die here, and we know that senjumaru must die. The best way to preserve her newly perceived strength is to have her bankai take her life, and the shitstaffle die in the ways they were already written to. It is the perfect way for Kubo to preserve the story he has already written AND give us the zero division we deserved.

I read a thread about how Senjumaru's bankai was sort of a form of future site. And the way she dealt with each quincy was a look at their futures in a way.
Yeah her Bankai is weaving out prophesies of their future, simulating it in a "poetry in motion" type of way and killing them.

I like how her Bankai seems to revolve around fate, with the red thread, and how each Stern Ritter was given a fate to match their future.
Lile was pierced by his own power; Askin was stabbed through; Pernida lost himself to over-progression/erosion; Gerard was frozen; Haschwalth faced a great fire; and Uryu followed the Quincy Cross and was struck by what seems like the Auswhalen
Aside of seeing all of what happened in this two final episodes, it' s awesome to see how Tommo is excited for it. It's like Kubo rewarded You for all the work you are putting in covering all this content. Thank You for your awesome work and I just wanna say that your reactions and reviews are now part of Bleach by themselves. Uryu will definitely be the one to escape, I have a feeling that he marked Senjumarus Arm when he touched it fully powered and he is gonna use antithesis to switch places with either her entire or just her arm and will be fighting senjumaru outside of the bankai and have a chance to finally shine and be like the reason why Ywach entrusted it to him
This reveal has me hoping that Ukitake may get a Bankai reveal as well. Not sure where they would fit it in, but he really needs more time to shine next cour.

Disregarding that weird post-credit scene, I find the point where the actual episode ended REALLY interesting.
Yhwach's fight is not over yet and Senjumaru has defeated the 6 strongest POST-AUSWÄHLEN Quincy. But as manga readers we know what will happen in the end. And now in cour 3 there is so much time. I think we might get even more of Squad 0, which is so so cool.
They completely changed the community's view on them in two episodes. Squad 0 are absolute demons and I like that they didn't end the cour with their defeat
At this point I wonder if what happened to squad 0 in the manga will also happen in the anime
I'm betting on more haschwald and uryuu content, they're the ones with the abilities to turn around the fight against squad 0
i tihnk now if squad 0 loses it will make sense. cause they so strong that all of them cant use bnakai at the same time and they were fighting while holding back. the downside is that to be at full power without killing their allies 3 have to be dead. So its like a double edge sword
That post credit scene is very similar to the stuff we used to get in og bleach
It gets even better when you consider the thematic opposites. Auswhelen is the quincy king forcefully stealing the lives of his subjects to benefit himself, while the zero division willingly sacrificed their own lives for the benefit of their comrade.
Which is also further building on the theme of quincies wielding stolen power that's not their own, and as a result don't respect it, while shinigami wield power that comes from within themselves and can't ever wield it their full power if they don't respect it.
Senjumaru stole the show. That was a FANTASTIC display of such a powerful Bankai. It was a visual masterpiece and I’m glad she got her time to shine. The idea that Zero Division using their Bankai’s all at once would cause calamity in all the worlds is a nice touch, really caught me off guard at how grisly it was that they just offed themselves.
I love how Oetsu uses the environment in his fight against Lille, dodging and weaving around and behind branches to throw off his aim.
Senjumaru’s Bankai Reveal is soo super amazing!!! She locates and manipulates enemies’ Soul Ribbons, to manipulate the Fabric of Fate surrounding each individual; and brings their individual Fated Demises sooner rather than later

Did you notice how they even changed the Black only coming out of Kisuke’s coat? In the manga, it came out of his coat and hat. The hat is green and white meaning it has no black on it so the manga didn’t make any sense there. I know the staff are really hardcore fans but I still found it hard to imagine they would notice that and fix it till maybe the Blue Rays. They did a wonderful job this episode.
No it made sense in the manga. The manga is black and white so it made sense that the BLACK on his hat was coming off. His power is to control all black. It was Kubo playing with the fact that a manga is black and white.
Here, its in anime form, so his hat has another color to it so it is left alone.
@@STGAoeAt first glance you have a point, but we have to remember that Kubo also has drawn color pages with Kisuke’s green and white hat and even on manga volume covers as well. It’s possible that Kubo might have forgotten that Kisuke’s hat was green instead of black since manga is black and white. Characters in this manga have mentioned other colors such as red and crimson. Kubo has also forgotten to draw on Shunsui’s eyepatch during the manga’s original run. The Black coming out of Kisuke’s hat also happens in the Colored Manga as well.

The fact that its not corrected in the volume releases, which is where Kubo makes his corrections, makes it even more clear that it’s intentional.

You aren’t supposed to view this as a “in universe” thing for the manga. It’s literally Kubo breaking the 4th wall and having fun. Its like how Ichibe literally attacks and the black he was using spelled out the chapter name. Its just Kubo having fun
@@STGAoe Sometimes Vol. Releases fix mistakes like with Shunsui’s eyepatch but they don’t always have corrections and then it’s too late to change them. In Vol. 58 Ch. 519, the Soul King is seen with all of his limbs despite that he shouldn’t have his arms and legs. Although that one was most likely because he didn’t plan out the plot about missing limbs of the Soul King having their own consciousness. Pernida’s weird human arm also didn’t get fixed in Ch. 599 in the Volume Release
I’m so happy the anime has expanded on Kubo’s work in the manga. Episode 26 was a home run and I’m so happy the zero division actually looked strong. Hopefully more characters who didn’t get a ton of fights get more spotlight too (Grimmjow, Nel, the Fullbringers, and visards). So glad Tom enjoyed it as much as we all did!

I always assumed that Senjumaru’s shikai were the multiple hands, that allow her to create whatever she needs for the situation, and she just keeps it activated at all times like kensei. With her bankai controlling the “fabric” of reality
That seal thing is massive in terms of scaling, it points to Squad 0 members all being stronger than Yama if they get use their true swords. A lower tier Squad 0 member like Senjumaru was considered was able to one shot all Yhwach's amped royal guards + Haschwalth and Uruy without any trouble
I love the links between being a seamstress and "weaving the fabric of reality". I think it fits very well into being one of the Royal Guard, they are legit God-tier powers

This was absolutely incredible, and completely redeemed Squad Zero. Senjumaru in particular is amazing - not just her design, but all of her extremely creative, diverse and powerful abilities, and how fun she is to watch in general with all the different stuff her many arms keep doing, and the way she moves around. The one issue I have is that the top Quincies might just have taken a bit too many Ls at this point, especially Haschwalth, who has now suffered 2 brand new deaths (and during his first battle I 100% expected him to turn things around with The Balance, rather than be bailed out by Juha). I'd like to see the Quincies somehow get out of Senjumaru's Bankai on their own (again, Haschwalth might be the answer, he sure seemed calm about being burned alive at any rate), rather than The Almighty magically turning everything around for them.

Askin running from Tenjiro is on par with Senjumaru's bankai..as far as the best parts of the episode go 😂
So amazing, , and if they use Uryu's Antithesis to come back that would give him the boost he needs as well, to show how powerful he actually is.

I can’t believe how good Bleach fans are eating. Kubo knows how he left the state of Bleach because he was rushing due to illness. He has completely redeemed any missteps and the animation is immaculate. Never thought I would see this.
The one thing I'm confused about: is Ichibe's power sealed to some extent as well? The Zero division mentions that their power is so strong that it shakes the world so they have linked their lives together to seal it, but Ichibe goes into a bankai with little to no effects on anything. It doesn't even seem like a powerup.
Maybe bankai and shinuchi aren't just different names for the same thing. Maybe they have different properties/characteristics too. I guess shinuchi is like the "non-explosive" version of bankai? just a thought.

He has to be one of the most prominent member even among the ZERO Squad. The fact that he dictates who gets to end the Schutzstaffel is definitely foreshadowing something.
Back to the story, Kirinji, Hikifune and Nimaiya killing themself for Shutara to unleash her true power is a suicide plan.
If she and Ichibei is defeated, that is the end for the Zero squad. But why it’s such a smart move is because them losing is inevitable but them losing this way still does not take anything away about how strong they are due to the risk they took.
Now we can’t complain that the Zero squad was all talk and hype no action. Regardless of if they lose or win
After this showcase there is enough proof that each individual of the zero squad is much stronger than the captains and Schutzstaffel.
Also Shutara’s Bankai has a lot of foreshadowing in it, with the fates of the Royal Guard😳
Now I'm extremely interested to see what the other Royale guard members bankais are. Some ideas I have:
Kirinji: Something related to the great flood that threatened to wipe out humanity in the bible
Hikifune: The world tree from Norse mythology?
Oetsu: Maybe a sword that has all the zanpakuto abilities ever conceived and possibly their bankais too? Aside from ichimonji anyway

I prefer this channels reaction over others. We both share the genuine excitement over these new crazy scenes. Other channels either haven’t read it so the reactions just seem elementary or are looking for things to be wrong as opposed to enjoying what their seeing. So bravo to you 👏🏿

I have a feeling Senjumaru did in fact kill all of them but at the start of cour 3 Yhwach activates Almighty and reverses basically everything from both fights. That is assuming they don’t just continue the fight and have one of the other figure a way out of it. We know most of them have the actual capability to do so. I was half expecting Gerard to activate the Miracle or something near the end of the episode but yea this was amazing I’m so hyped.

Lillie, has his attacks reflected back at him. (Him losing to Nanao & Shunsui)
Askin gets outnumbered by 3 Powerful opponents and his body pierced through (Yoruichi, Kisuke and Grimmjow)
Pernida absorbing a Woman and ultimately paying the price for it (Nemu)
Gerard getting pinned down and frozen over (His fight against Byakuya & Toshiro).
Uryu's moment calls back to seeing the Auswahlen taking the life of his mother (Which is very tragic)
And Haschwalth getting burned alive could reference his regret of betraying his former best friend Bazz B.
Pernida is more like he's being swallowed by the black abyss of sand. He tries to use Compulsory on it but the sand is way too flexible and eventually he gets swallowed. Kurotsuchi's name literally means "Black Soil" so it was pretty on the nose because Kurotsuchi nearly had an answer to everything Pernida did because he's such a flexible guy with his science.
Loved when you said "so that's it" and then you slowly loose your mind when you realize it's not over!
I really hope they do the reveal of the Almighty and the Antithesis together as a start of the next core. Think how awesome that would be, Yhwach and Uryu both completely flipping the table.
I hope so as well, for the double reveal in EP 1 of cour 3.
However, I'd rather Senjumaru still loses to Yuha, rather than Uryu. Yeah, his Antithesis might be hax, but ain't no way that defeats her Bankai. 😭
Likely that's how Senjumaru is defeated. Antithesis counters her fate turning it back on her. Yhwach them uses the Almighty to bring the rest of the guard back

I'm so glad I have these videos because it's amazing having someone to relate to. This is the most excited I've been for bleach ever! Being a fan since the original anime as a kid, it feels crazy being this excited for bleach again!!! And to think we are getting so much new content to fill holes from the manga. Senjumaru's Bankai scene actually gave a lot more meaning to Lilie's later fight with Shunsui when he mention he can't be killed by a bankai. I can see where he gets that confidence now

16:00 I assume they can come back just like Ichibe can with their name being announced. They did seem to act like nothing much happened when they returned in CFYOW. Oetsu also said “Who’s first” meaning that they can all probably resurrect each other if they don’t get speedblitzed like they did in the manga.
I love Senjumaru and glad she got to shine here at the end of cour 2. Definitely looking forward to cour 3 which has been revealed to release next year in 2024 though no specific month or date yet. I'm hoping for a spring release in April or something
The foreshadowing if you notice, Jugram, lille, gerard, pernida, askin, and uryu’s fates from senjumaru’s bankai is foreshadowing of their future death and fights.

Every single person's reaction when we saw this, of course seeing kon was nice and that gag with renji too but I was really thinking we were going to get an end credit scene on the zero division fight because it looked to me like haschwalt didn't die
I'm at a loss for words describing episode 26. The animation team absolutely did justice to the Zero squad and the level of power they should theoretically possess in Bleach lore. Senjumaru's Ban Kai design was a work of art. With how powerful it was portrayed to be, my hope is that the writers understand it will literally take Godly power to undo what she did to the Quincies.

This has been a well-anticipated reaction video that we've waited a day for, and I'm glad we're finally getting around to see your gleeful reaction! When Senjumaru finally got the spotlight she deserved, as well as the other Zero Division members, I was WAITING to see how everyone would react, and we all reacted with pure joy and delight. Those words, "Bankai" killed it for me! However, due to the narrative and adherence to the source material, Senjumaru is very likely going to die somewhere from the first two episodes in Cour 3, but what I'd be wondering about is how this anime-original sequence will be handled. Also, I love how Senjumaru’s Bankai reflects the adversities, counters, or deaths to the six quincy:
Lille Barro = Killed by the reflection of his own attacks
Askin Nakk Le Vaar = Killed whilst enveloped and trapped
Pernida Parnkgjas = Countered by endless sand to prevent The Compulsory, and is killed by being multiplicatively reduced to dust.
Gerard Valkyrie = Alludes to his flash-freezing in his fight with the Gotei 13
Jugram Haschwalth = Alludes to his fight with Bazz B
Uryu Ishida = Not sure but I guess she nullifies the Antithesis by taking it, similar to Yhwach?
