New Deviloof is out!!!
I think I heard this some time in early 2020 on Spotify and immediately had the riffs ingrained in my head. I thought stuff like MUCC and the Gazette were peak JMetal, but after hearing Inkya Impulse and GOUZINZANGOKU, there's clearly a lot to be found.
This is a Visual Kei band, don't forget that. Maybe other songs don't gonna be exactly like this. Because is not the real tarjet... I mean... is another subculture...

Everything is cookie cutter these days. There's a weird culture of forced conformity where anything outside the strictly policed genre rules is immediately rejected, while the same people killing creativity and it's inherent rule breaking complain that everything sounds the same and they want new music. It's a dichotomy. A frustrating one. A band like Faith no more would have extreme difficulty getting started right now. Not surprising that there's a lot of Japanese bands making waves. Though sadly some are getting caught up in the conformity to make it bigger, and losing the very things that made them interesting in the first place.
Anyway...
There's some excellent requests already here, so as usual for me I'll give you the lesser known stuff. Very outside the box, with little (or big) extras you won't get in the West.
Ultra heavy technical extreme stuff:

Ultra heavy death metal with only slightly less technicality, but an awesome trio. With slap bass.

And the only other Visual Kei band on this list, very extreme technical brutal stuff. A few more bat screams, an interesting image, but very heavy. Guitarist and drummer are nuts.
