Pedro's last start for Boston, perfect ending.
MANCHESTER UNITED literally no one asked
Legend. Greatest Red Sox pitcher of my lifetime.
Of all time
pedro was so fucking amazing
TOTAL DOMINANCE. KILLER INSTINCT. SMART PLAYER. EVERYTHING. HOF BOUND.
Exactly. It wasn't just his "stuff" the man had grit and intelligence
His last start was a perfect sendoff, he was on the back end and he pitched alot that year also and this was when his velocity really started to dip but hes a top 5 pitcher ever
Forever my favorite pitcher of all time
Robert Cabral Really,,,,, Unsurprisingly tell
Never really saw D. Ortiz play defense but that was a hell of a throw 0:42 on the money across the field to nail the runner at 3rd.
Yeah, but that was God awful base running by Suppan.
Factssss, I was like wow what a freakin’ throw on the money.
The goat of red sox pitchers
Next to Charlie Zink, of course.
I love how he would stare at the batter after whiffing them. haha
Pedro = new hall of famer!!! CONGRATS!!! :D
Pedro Martinez and Larry Walker in the World Series, would've been nice 10 years earlier...
God this was such a frustrating game for Cardinals fans. Pedro pitched very well but we let him off the hook a bit. Edmonds, with bases loaded and one out, unable to hit it deep enough to get the run in in the 1st. Then Suppan with one of the worst baserunning mistakes I've ever seen. That was with the 3-4-5 coming up after Walker and a runner at 2nd.
I definitely agree with you, Pedro really took off and was lights out after that mistake by Suppan.
Edmonds is the most overrated player I’ve ever seen
1967 World Series a black ace wearing number 45 pitching for the St. Louis Cardinals shut down the Boston Red Sox.
2004 World Series a black ace wearing number 45 pitching for the Boston Red Sox shut down the St. Louis Cardinals
Pedro's not black, he's Dominican. Still, that's a really good comparison. Pedro was the Bob Gibson of baseball from the 90's to early 00's. He'd hit batters, he'd strike them out, he'd dominate just like Gibson did in the 60's.
meh close enough.
KHayes666 pedro an black dominican
@@KHayes666 Pedro is afro-latino, no?
What a money throw by the DH playing 1st at the 0:43 mark.
Pedro's last start in a Red Sox uniform. It's been a while since the Red Sox have had a starting pitcher of this caliber.
nobody will be of his caliber he is one of the best pitchers to ever live.
+Nate Zeller completely agree, his four or five year dominance will never be matched, just happy that he was part of THE TEAM that broke the curse!
Carlos Billini Chris Sale emerged from the ashes
Babe Ruth 😅🤣
Josh Beckett was just as good in 2007.
Pedro El Grande!
I had bleacher tix for game 6 at fenway. Never happened. I had mixed emotions when they swept. Going to the parade with my dad was awesome
What was that guy thinking just standing there and having Ortiz throw him out At 3rd?!.. loll
The Pedro Martinez "Michael Jackson" look
& now he's a hall of famer
The Curt Schilling-Pedro Martinez was one of the devastating 1-2 punches in MLB Baseball.
Once he settled in it was a wrap!
Joe Buck is bummed out, considering he's a Cards fan.
Vintage Pedro
Did Pedro gave Larry Walker the SlapAss @ 0:29?...
I think they were teammates with the Expos.
Indeed they where
Hahaha key and peele
Pedro Martínez fue el mejor
It won't be long until you see Number 45 painted on the Fenway List of Retired Numbers, along with Numbers 34(Big Papi) and 38(Schilling).
Grady Sizemore better start picking a new number after his 38 is retired.
um no to be a retired number you have to play 10 years on the red sox and make it to the hall of fame. Ortiz will make it for sure, no way schilling does.
Baseballbat95
AND WHY NOT?!!! Is Curt Schilling not in the Red Sox Hall of Fame? Was Curt Schilling the main reason why That Curse, that has been hanging over us for 86 years, is now nonexistent?
Pedro Martinez has only been pitching in Boston for only 7 years and I know for certain he is in the Red Sox Hall of Fame. Oh Hell, Pedro has been The Face of the Red Sox and now that he is back with Boston in the Red Sox Front Office, there is no way that you can not paint "Number 45" somewhere on Fenway park. No one deserved that more than Pedro Martinez!
Jiltedin2007 the redsox have an actual curriculum that says you must play 10 years for the red sox. There is absolutely no way schilliing is even close to getting his number retired here. Pedro did not pitch enough in boston.
Baseballbat95
What about Carlton Fisk? He went to the Chicago White Sox in 1981 after only NINE YEARS with the Red Sox. And don't count 1969 to 1971 because during those years he was bumping around in the Minor Leagues.
1972 was Carlton Fisk's Rookie Year, I know! Once upon a time I had His Rookie Card. But yet his Number 27 is painted on Fenway. According to your"Curriculum" of the Red Sox, Carlton Fisk's Number 27 should be painted over. Am I right?
To be honest with you, I really do not care if Curt Schilling or Pedro Martinez do not have anything painted on Fenway Park as Fond Memories of what those two really meant, and how vital they were to the Boston Red Sox back in 2004 when they erased an 0-3 deficit to the New York Yankees in the ALCS en route to Sweeping the Cardinals to erase an 86 Year Curse. And before that, Pedro's 6 Innings of Perfect Ball to get us over the hump in beating the Cleveland Indians in the 1999 ALDS.
Schilling's Bloody Sock and Pedro's Heart and Soul should be plenty enough for the Red Sox to break the rules of Their Curriculum.
Jiltedin2007 I love schilling as much as the next guy im not hating on him. If you retire his number, you might as well retire trot nixon and kevin millar. Thats asinine. Those retired numbers are saved for the best of the best. The only guy I can see going up there currently is ortiz. What I love about the sox is that they only have a few selected numbers they retire. Unlike the celtics where theres 30 numbers retired, giving each one little meaning. To get your number retired as a red sox you have to be an iconic legend that represents the city for a long period of time.
In 1967 a black Cardinals superstar pitcher wearing #45 stymied the Red Sox; in 2004 a black Red Sox superstar pitcher wearing #45 stymied the Cardinals.
Larry Walker was a Cardinal?! 😅
Yep lmao
Pedro el grande!!
pedro es el mejor
His last start, fitting
El mejor picher del mundo
Finally got one
Would like to find the whole game....
Viva Pedro! #45
Sounds like elevator music at 1:45
No curse then
Derek Jeter used to hate pedro. But pedro never backed down .every time he stroked out jeter he stared at Jeter with an assassin look . Jajajaja. What a Boss. Like....what ? You got any problem with me ? Let me know ! LMAO
Get that guy to a barber!
🇩🇴
